Geppetto is hands down my favorite crepe place. The food is phenomenal, the drinks are delicious, and the staff is so friendly. Its a cute little place that is always worth the wait. I like to go around the 11 oclock hour since the wait is usually pretty short then. I definitely recommend the Gone Fishing savory crepe, La Pistache (MY FAVORITE!!!) sweet crepe, and a London Fog drink! Often, I split a few crepes with my best friend so we get to try a few extra each time we come! You wont regret that order at all!
Cute cafe with affordable prices. The brunch tasted great as well as the tea and coffee we ordered. They have a variety of different buckwheat crepes, waffles and French toast with delicious gruyere. We waited some time to be seated as it was a busy day, but it was well worth it. The seating area is artsy and fun with books hanging from the ceilings and other colorful decorations. The staff was friendly and food was served quickly.
Can Pepsi 2.00, small orange juice 2.50, tea 2.50. We waited over an hour for food because who ever owns this place thinks 35 tables should only have one tiny 20 inch grill and one crepe disk to make every single order. There was a 45 minute wait just to get a table and the waitress was near topless. If I come eat, especially with my wife, I dont need to see inappropriatly clothed female waitresses everytime I want something. The waitress also took almost 30 minutes just to bring me my BOTTLE of orange juice. The food was subpar at best, cold, and stale.
We went Saturday morning around noon and waited about 15 minutes before being seated outside. They took our number and called us when the table was available. The staff was very friendly. We ordered a savory ham and cheese crepe and sweet banana dulce de leche crepe as well as an iced coffee. The ham and cheese crepe was good, love gruyere cheese. The sweet crepe was interesting. There was nothing inside, everything was on the top.Crepes were alright, wouldn’t go back. It’s a cute spot in Lawrenceville.
Very very unique experience in this cafe! Not many places have books, puppets, and green foliage hanging from the ceiling, AND also serve amazing breakfast! 😍If you are looking for good crêpes, like super good 😌, this is the place to go. With so many different varieties of crêpes and so many options for toppings, you really can’t go wrong with anything you order! Our order for DRINKS: 2 London fogs (one hot, one cold)Our order for BREAKFAST: the Geppetto signature (crêpe plate with sautéed caramelized apples, cream cheese glaze, and topped with cinnamon & caramel sauce 🤩🤩) and the Nutella Classic (obviously Nutella, strawberries, banana, and chocolate sauce! 😋)Both amazing choices! They are known for their signature crêpe plate because of those apples with the cream cheese glaze… yummmmm. And finally, our order for SIDES: eggs 🍳 and bacon 🥓👌I will also add that I was very impressed with our server! She was very timely and attentive to us! 🤗I would suggest going in the mornings when they open. That’s when we went, but by the time we were heading out they were getting pretty busy!Peep 👀 these photos for some yummy food, tasty drinks, and “It’s GOOD!” faces 😬
Theres some interesting food here with the crepes and challah french toast. Many of the items are a bit too sweet for my tastes but I enjoyed the savory panini and toast options. Unfortunately, you have to hit the perfect amount of each ingredient in each bite of a sandwich to balance the strong sweet and savory flavors between the french toast and ham. The ham was also not great on its own when it was overwhelming the bite.
The food was great, the service was great, it was worth the wait. The savory crepe we ordered was fantastic but I felt the sweet crepe was very rich and difficult for me to finish.
Was disappointed by the savory crepes, perhaps the French toast to sweet crepes are better
A really quaint cafe, really friendly and helpful staff. Our server was nice, kept checking on us to make sure we had all we needed, and really timely. The food was delicious too, we had the prosciutto crepe which was to die for, as well as the tiramisu waffle. Highly recommend, and cant wait to try it out again some time!
They bring your drink orders out in fun unique mugs, and the drinks are delicious! The real star of the show are the crepes, though -- its hard to make a well-balanced dessert crepe in my opinion, because they can easily go overboard on the chocolate and make it too rich to eat as your first meal of the day (imo), but every time I get the Nutella crepe it is the perfect ratio of fruit to chocolate, which keeps it from being too heavy. Theyre absolutely delicious and I cant wait to go back!
Great breakfast/brunch spot! We were greeted by very friendly staff as we walked into the door! The dishes were solid except for my veggie crepe(would have loved for the spinach sautéed instead of raw). Nevertheless, I still give it an overall 5 star!
Go early on the weekend it gets busy, and for a good delicious food!
Great food & awesome service!! Lovely atmosphere as well. If you’re looking for somewhere cute & satisfying to go, check them out!
A cute little cafe. I ordered the pesto chicken panini and it was delicious. It came with a salad and it was a perfect portion for lunch. Quick, friendly service and nice atmosphere.
My husband loved his crepe. My chef salad was a bit unconventionally made but tasty. I ordered toast with it as it didnt come with any bread or roll. Interesting looking place. It was a bit odd that a second waitress kept asking if our orders were taken even though she wasnt our primary server. It got a bit annoying after a while. Id go back easily.
Cute place with good food. I had the prosciutto crepe and my wife had a salad. The service is a little off. One waitress took our drink order and the second waitress came by a moment later to ask of we ordered drinks. Same thing happened when ordering lunch! They need a little bit more organization. But at least we had service, which is more than I can say about some other places weve been!
The crepes were so good, it made my friend from the suburbs reconsider his life decisions. Great place to grab a sit down espresso as well! Excellent vegetarian options.
I love this place! it has such a wide variety of food and everything seemed to taste amazing. there was such flavoring in everything, it is also very reasonably priced. the food is also very fresh. the only thing is that the panini was a little too small (i was expecting it to be bigger) and the salad had no dressing. i also sampled the pumpkin ice cream and it was so creamy and good! def coming back to get some more~ the place inside is also decorated in such a cute fashion. highly recommend this place
The atmosphere was warm, the service was delightful and the food was excellent!!
You want good food? You like good service? You wanna feel the Burgh luv?Go there, the view, the experience will blow your mind.
Friendly service with a different take on my morning meal! Geppettos is sure to please and features LaPrima coffee in addition to sweet or savory crepes, waffles and French toast. We each chose the Bonjour crepe served with bacon, a shot glass full of real maple syrup and the fruit cup. The brie cheese subtly complemented the scrambled eggs within the crepe and made for a nice, filling breakfast.
Fabulous spot for family. I’m an out-of-towner and stopped in for breakfast on the way to the zoo. Absolutely delicious waffles and crepes that pleased everyone. Lovely service, too! Wish this place would open an outpost where I live.
One of those places where, from the smell alone, you know youve picked the right place. The crepe I had was wonderful, not so thin than it was hard to eat but definently thinner than a flapjack. They were nice, fluffy and light and the fruit was very fresh. Quick service, especially since the bar kitchen is in the front space of the restaurant so you can see the food being prepared.
Deliciously fresh food, warm, friendly & attentive service. A very nice experience. A popular place that keeps their staff super busy, yet caring and courteous. Highly recommend a visit.
The best breakfast cafe in Pittsburgh we’ve tried yet! Hands down....from the coffee to the food it’s amazing! We will definitely be back anytime we are out that way for hockey tournaments!!! The service and people were so sweet and accommodating too! And the food WOW! So fresh and delicious!!!
Love this place. Awesome atmosphere. Awesome food.Excellent servers.
Quaint little cafe in Lawrenceville with a cozy neighborhood feel, packing big flavors at super affordable prices. Really great staff serving really, really good food.
Delicious crepes, good coffee and super fun spot. Would definitely come back.
I decided to have my birthday brunch here after reading all of the great reviews and wow, was it a good choice! Its the cutest little cafe with excellent coffee and crepes! I tried both the savory and sweet and you cant go wrong with either choice. I cant wait to go back and try more! New favorite for sure.
Understaffed and very busy. Never got seated (7 in our group); the hostesses were constantly seating 2-3 people groups ignoring our request for two tables. Sadly, we could not wait any longer.
Such an amazing place, so pretty!!! And the food is just amazing!!! Loved the entire experience.
Really cute place! I love all the pinnocchio memorabilia and adore the books hanging off the ceiling! Its super cozy and I didnt think the food was very expensive either. The staff were super cool and nice too. Will definitely be coming back!
Staff was really attentive and friendly and the food was excellent.
The portions are ginormous! The food is delicious! The prices are reasonable and Ive never had a subpar server. Absolutely one of my favorite finds and I tell everyone to try their food!
Very cool decoration and my breakfast panini was fantastic! My friend got the four cheese crepe and that was good as well. I just wished they had bigger coffee mugs! Staff came frequently to refill but I like a bigger coffee ! Just my preference
Love this place, delicious food and friendly staff. Wish they where open latter. Most of the places do not have a changing table for babies... I am a regular customer and they notice that they needed one and next time I came they proudly said that now they owned one and was the best thing they could do. Very happy customer.
Always delicious and fresh!! Love the decor and the staff is friendly. Lots of veg options! Everything is great but the Nutella hot chocolate is the star. Kid friendly :)
Adorable spot, sweet crepe was amazing the savory salmon one could have been a little better with what it pairs with flavor wise. Service was great but the wait to get acknowledged and food coming out was quite a bit long.
My girlfriends and I took a girls trip to Pittsburgh and found this cafe! The entire experience is 12/10!! The menu is incredible, the atmosphere is so calming, it transports you right to France! I am obsessed.
We visited the cafe on Valentine’s Day morning before we left the city. The cafe was cute, had its on vibes, older style aesthetics. Our server Juan was great! He was very friendly and checked back with us many times! Which I love from a server. The workers seemed to be working well together and as a team, we had another kind server deliver our food. The food was good. The menu had a wide selection and the servings were huge. I saw this from someone’s else post and I would agree, the coffee was okay.
Friendly atmosphere. Health concious portions and menu.
Kitchen, boutique Cafe with great service, entertaining environment, and a cozy place. I had a crepe with Brie which was very good. And located in a poke around shopping area, in Lawrenceville.
I’m so glad this was the place we ate at before we left Pittsburgh. Put the cherry on top to my whole experience while I was visiting the city. The cafe is so nice and comfy. The people are so kind. And the food is so delicious. I ended up purchasing one of the paintings on the walls and even downloaded the playlist that was playing. We ordered some crepes and my fave was the Tiramisu crepe. 1000% recommend this place.
Very nice breakfast cafe. Parking was easy and the area was pretty. Coffee was excellent and the food was great. Wait staff was kind and friendly.
Great selection and food is always great quality. Glad to see they survived the pandemic times!
Wonderful savory crepes! Our food was absolutely amazing. Glad we checked this place out while visiting Pittsburgh
Great food, fantastic coffee, and great people
Awesome food (brunch stuff and paninis), great coffee, really cool decor (with lots of artwork on the wall from local artists, for sale), really good staff.
My friends and I are visiting Pittsburgh and we found this place from Google Maps. The food, atmosphere, and server were all wonderful! I ordered the grilled chicken and gruyere cheese crepe with the spicy sauce (not too spicy, definitely acceptable for a non-spicy food lover) with a side of fruit and earl grey tea. This was probably by far the BEST savory crepe that Ive eaten. The aesthetics were Instagram worthy and cute (pictured below). I wish this was down the street from where I live! I would love to come here again in the future if I ever return to Pittsburgh.
Nice menu, the food was good, loved the savory crepe. Service for lunch was a little slow but they have a nice atmosphere and waitress was kind.
A truly charming brunch spot in Pittsburgh. The service staff was excellent, we barely had to wait longer than 5 minutes on a Saturday morning, and everything was reasonably priced. You cant go wrong with anything on the menu. My friend and I ordered one savory (Pesto Chicken Panini) and one sweet (Nutella Crepes) and split it to get best of both worlds. So yummy! Also, if youre a coffee guru, try the Turkish coffee; it is so rich and dark.
Some good, some bad. I enjoyed the french toast I had, but the bacon and eggs left a lot to be desired. Bacon was extremely undercooked and the eggs just had no taste. Nice atmosphere, cool little place, just an underwhelming experience given the good reviews.
Good coffee. Chicken gruyere crepe is amazing. Outside seating is so nice and cozy. Recommended!
Delicious breakfast food the french toast is amazing
Such a cool place with an awesome interior!
Nice European feel, good food and a nice relaxing atmosphere. Just what pittsburgh needs.
Very happy with the food, environment and customer service ♥️
If you are in the area, go here for brunch or lunch. The food was amazing, the service was excellent, and the people in general that were around us were great! This was my first time there and had no idea what to pick off the menu. With help from our waiter and the guy sitting behind me, I picked the tiramisu crepes. Great choice! Not too sweet, they were perfect!
Delicious crepes! We got a couple savory crepes and were not disappointed. I recommend getting a side of the honey aoli to go with any savory crepe.
Great crepes and hot beverages
The Monte Cristo french toast sandwich was the envy of my friends at brunch!
The coffee and crepe was delicious!!!
