We just left drive time because they wouldn’t fix our car after only 3 days after we purchased it. We were so mad that we left the car there and came to Southside Motors! There was a huge difference. Firstly; we were able to go pick the vehicle we wanted unlike drive time that just gave us one option and forced us to purchase it. Second, SSM didn’t try to screw us on our down payment (long story) and lastly there was a 2 year warranty included with our 2016 fusion with only 59,000 miles on it. Everyone was generally really nice as well. Could not be happier with our experience at Southside Motors!!

This place is awesome!!! My sister needed a car because Drive Time just repoed her car because she couldn’t pay for all the repairs and make the payments. She only had the car 3 months and it needed $1200 in repairs. I told her that I got my car at Southside Motors about a year ago and the only thing I had to do to the car is put tires on it. I can’t complain because I put around 12,000 miles on it. She went to Southside Motors and got a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee with only 68,000 miles. Couldn’t of been easier because she did the Rent To Own program and they didn’t even check her credit. Look if you need a vehicle and have bad credit this is the place to go if you don’t want to deal with BS.

Great customer service. But they sold me a messed up car. Cadliaic converter is bad and there is no warranty on it. I cant get my car to pass inspection which been out since 9/20. I had this car for a year now. I put down 3,800 and my car payments are high. Just to put 3,000$ more work into the car just for it still not to pass inspection. I will never go back.

My only experience was looking at the pics of cars, which the engines are dirty, looks like junkyard parts, and reading reviews. I know where I WONT be purchasing from. Thanks to all who took time to review.

Said his cars included a 2 year warranty then charged me nearly an additional $3000 for warranty without ever going over the itemized costs or disclosing the total amount financed. Put $7000 down on a $14000 dollar car agreed to finance $7000 and when we got our statement had actually financed $12000. A $14000 car became a $19000 car and not a word was said about it before leaving.

Thank you thank you thank you!! The people at Southside Motors pretty much saved my life. I never thought I would be in the position Im in right now with not having a job temporarily because of Covid virus. I tried 3 or 4 big car places and 3 smaller car places and they all told me they couldnt help me because Im on unemployment until I can go back to work as a bar tender full time. My buddy from the bar told me about Southside Motors and I went and talked to them. I couldnt believe that the salesman I talked to had the same name as I do. I looked at my girl and said this is a sign from God saying this is the place that is going to answer my prayers. Sure enough the Salesman and the one owner (Guy) understood my situation and actually cared about helping me instead of screwing me over. They let me get a 2016 Kia Optima with only 51,000 miles on it. Oh I even got a 2 year warranty. Ive had it for a little over 3 months now and absolutely love it. I can tell you that the bad reviews on here are more than likely from people who either didnt make their payments or let their insurance get canceled. while I was there I heard 2 phone conversations with 2 customers saying they cant believe they got their vehicles repoed for not having insurance. One customer even said they were going to write a bad review about them. All I can tell you is they were great to me and my famil .

2008 I was laid off from work. On my way home, I stopped by Southside Motors and met with Guy to look at some vehicles. Im still driving my 2003 GMC Envoy. Many years prior I brought my Son there, in his first year of college, and he bought a Toyota Camry that he sold to his younger brother in his last year of college for $1.The moral to this story is a quality vehicle for a good price and friendly customer service equals a very satisfied customer! All I can say is THANK YOU! I was able to get a vehicle with under 50k miles. No credit check. And a 2 year warranty!!! Car runs like new. I had a GREAT experience. The owner even walked me through the features of the car and answered all of my questions.

I went here thinking I was just wasting my time like everywhere else I went. I was definitely wrong. I tried that Drive Time place and what a joke they were. I went to Southside Motors because 2 of my girls got cars here and said they were good people. The one owner Guy came out as soon as he saw me and that really impressed me because everywhere else I went I had to beg them to wait on me. Guy showed me a few vehicles that I liked and said come on in. Next thing I knew I he ask what one i wanted and he started the paperwork. I took the car to my mechanic the next day and he said the car had a bunch of new parts on it and was in really good shape. I wish I would of just went to Southside Motors in the first place. I came in a couple weeks ago looking for a car and was put in the 2009 Saturn Vue Hybrid car was fine the first week the week after lights started coming on such as the abs, check engine, and traction control and stabilitrak, also the visor on the passenger side won’t stay up I was told that they were supposed to fix it still haven’t gotten any word on that it’s drives no faster then 10 miles going up hill or even after making a stop at a stop sign I was told by a mechanic that it seems to be the Cadillac converter and or Transimission . I also took it too autozone and they told me I need spark plugs and a left rear speed sensor . I HIGHLY do not recommend this place .They so called fixed everything when I took it to them to work on. As soon as I get home my check engine light come on again and my car still sounds like the transmission is going to give out . At this point I just want to return the vehicle and get the money I paid for it back which is 4,500 this vehicle isn’t worth 440/ month for 30 months which adds up to be 13,200 in the end . That’s the price of a newer car so why am I paying more then what the car is worth it has 90000 miles on it.

I cant give them a star. This is the worst car dealership in Pittsburgh. They were advertising a Ford Fusion 2010 with 96,000 miles on for 7,995 on their website. They lie to me and I did their rent to own program because my credit score was not good. Guess how in total I’m going to paying for this car, $15,850. I drove the car for less than 2 times, the third time I almost got into a car accident because the steering wheel completely locked on me. This was during the beginning of the Coivd-19 lockdown. I could not take the car to them to get it to fix because all dealership was shutdown. I didn’t drive the car for almost 2 months because of the lockdown. I also was not able to call to make payments because when I called the guy that answers the call tells me the owners are not there. So I didn’t make 2 payments even though I try my best to. During the lockdown, I called them almost every day, and every time that guy picks up he tells me the same thing. As soon as the lockdown was over, they never call me, which I found out later they never had my correct number or address, they came to my house and tow the car to their dealership shop. I had no calls and no warning of this. When I called them they told me is because I was late with payments for 2 months. I went there and made a payment. They told me they will fix it. I kid you not 4 days later the check engine light was on and car tire pressure light are also on. I took the car back to them, they could not fix and told me I have to do it and said the fix everything their suppose to. The only time the call me is for car payment( YEP MONEY!). I told them I want the carfax and information on all the work that’s done on the car, they are refusing to give it to me. When I call they pretend they don’t know me and tell me the man I dealing with is not available when he clearly is because I know his voice. I’m filing complaints everywhere against them and about to start a court case. All I will say to anyone is save your money and your life because they don’t care at all. If you die in a car they sold you they could care less. To them you nothing but money.

We bought our Jeep here a couple moths ago and we are very pleased with how they do business . We dealt with one of the owners and he really worked with us. Im not one to do reviews but these guys helped us out so much that I had to let other people no about them. I just read the review about there prices being high but what people dont understand is there vehicles come with a 2 year warranty and the warrantys cost a lot of money. When we bought our Jeep the one owner showed us how everything works with the Rent To Own program. All I know is I just got a 2014 Jeep with no credit and have a 2 year warranty. Im sure there is a lot more to the story about the person that was going to buy the Equinox. First of all I didnt see any vehicles older than a 2009 and the newest one was a2016. If I had to guess it was probably another car lot jealous because South side Motors is selling so many vehicles. These guys were just to nice to rip anyone off. Thanks Guy for helping my family. Being a female I was nervous because I didnt have a man with me, but he made sure I was comfortable with my purchase and didnt pressure me into anything. So far so good!! Its been a little over a year now and knock on wood I havent had any issues. Ive put close to 11,000 miles on it and she purrs like a kitten. I still cant understand how they can do this with no credit check but Im sure glad they did because otherwise I would of ended up doing a buy here pay here and getting a car with 140,000 miles on it. My 2014 Sonata only had 61,000 miles on it when I got it and looked like new. If you want a good car and dont want hassles I would go here and not have to worry about getting a lemon.

We have had our ride for almost a year now and can say we have been very happy so far. The 2 owners have worked with us a couple times when we couldnt make our payments because of a job lose. Im not really sure how anyone can say they sell lemons because we no a couple other peoples that have bought here and have gotten good rides. Southside Motors is the only place that would really work with us without trying to sell us a ride with 140,000 miles. Or ride only had 63,000 miles on it when we bought it. After reading the review from the lady that says this place sells vehicles in bad condiction I have to speak up. I have got 2 vehicles from this place doing the Rent To Own program and I couldnt be happier. Sure you pay a little more because your credit is bad but what do you expect?? Really its not any worse than if you could get financed with bad credit from a bank. It was actually cheaper for me to do the Rent To Own program. As far as the vehicles themselves go I only had one problem with both of them and it was fixed by Southside Motors 4 months after I got the car. Like others have said on here haters going to hate. Maybe if they would pay their payments and keep insurance on their vehicles they would get more help. I know I did. Guy and Mike are the owners and are really good guys. I hate to see someone talk bad about them and their business. I and 3 of my family and friends highly recommend this car lot...

No credit? Bad credit? Or just need a car for a couple of months Southside motors is the place to go. I purchased an 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier in November of 2012 the car had 80+ miles on and sounded great.. here we are in 2016 and I only had to replace the serpentine belt, fuel pump, and alternator. I have took this car to two different vacations spots one in Delaware Pennsylvania which is about a five hour drive from.where I live and I also took it all the way to Myrtle Beach South Carolina. I made it to both places with absolutely no problems. The car still runs perfect and I couldnt be any more happier with my purchases! Thank you so much Southside motors! Definitely recommended!!!

We just left this place with our new car. We went in and picked the car we wanted and 45 minutes later we pulled out with our 2014 Chevy Cruze. We figured we would end up getting something with a million miles but it only has 39,548 miles on it. We told the one owner (Guy) that we didnt need a warranty because our son is a mechanic but he said it comes with a 2 year warranty. I think this was the easiest car buying experience we have ever had. We love our new Crude and named her sexy.

I went to Southside Motors in search of an affordable SUV. I found an amazing 06 Explorer that I loved. I never thought I would be leaving the lot that day with it but Guy Gearhart made sure it happened. Ever since I got my Explorer, two years ago, I have loved it. I did have one minor issue but my warranty covered it without a problem. Southside Motors basically took care of everything and i was back in my car in no time. My 17 year old son will be looking for an affordable, reliable car this summer and I will be taking him to Southside Motors to find it.

Just want to say I bought a car from south side motors last week. Definitely had a great experience with buying the car from Bill and the owner Guy. Would recommend this dealership over jdb or Pittsburgh auto depot. (Ive dealt with and got screwed by both in the past). Bill helped me get financed into the car I picked out test drove and liked. Also the warranty I got gives me a huge piece of mind that if I have any problems with the car it will be taken care of.Just know these men are truthful to their word and will do their best to get you into the car you want. Not just whatever car they want to get rid of that day. M so frustrated right now with Drive Time. My co-worker told me not to go there because they really cheated her. Well I go online to do there application and look at the prices of there vehicles and use Kelly Blue Book to figure out what they should cost. They are $2000 to $3000 over retail value. I figured what the heck I will still try them. Boy I wish I would of listened to my daddy and co-worker. They get you in to the dealership and everything is different then they show you online. I still ended up getting a car from them and Im very upset with Drive Time. I had to take it back to them 5 times in 2 weeks for the transmission slipping. They told me it was fine but Aamco said it was bad. Well finally it got so bad I couldnt drive it. Drive Time told me there was nothing they could do to help me. I had it towed to there crappy dealership and told them I didnt want it. Anyways now that I got that off my chest let me tell you about Southside Motors. I went in and about an hour later I left with a 2012 Chevy Equinox with only 63,000 miles. Southside Motors didnt even check my credit. Ive had it for almost 8 months now and love love love it. Moral of this story is dont be fooled by Drive Time just go to Southside Motors and get a good vehicle with no BS

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!!! We bought a car here about 2 months ago and have had to take it to get it’s transmission worked on 3 times already... the computer system seems to be messed up as well as the alarm goes off constantly, the horn stopped working, and it keeps saying the trunk is open when it is not. It’s a shame that they would be willing to sell a car with these issues. Not to mention this vehicle has a recall on it. Should have went to leopardi where I bought my first car. Never ever had any issues dealing with the folks who work there, or my car. I have never heard anything good about this place, and I wish we would have stayed away. They were even bad talking other clients while we were sitting there. Being stuck with such a high payment for a vehicle we can’t even drive is very frustrating especially on top of having a 4 month old, and worrying about the cost of diaper, formula etc. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

I didnt buy a vehicle at South side Motors but I did go there and look at the vehicles. At the time I only had $700 to put as a down payment and there minimum is $1500. They one owner tried every program they had but I still needed $1500 down. I wish I would of listened to him when he told me to save a little more money and wait to get a vehicle from them. I ended up getting a car from JD Byrider. What a mistake that was. My girlfriend and I just could NOT get financed. We went to many buy here pay here dealers, and all they wanted to do is sell me high mileage, worthless cars. It was either my age, credit history, or my amount of money to put down. So, I was ready to give up, but then I saw Southside Motors commercial on TV. I gave them a call the next morning, and explained to them my situation. They understood very well, and were very willing to help me. I went in their the day after, with no appointment and one of the owners Guy immediately helped me. I gave him all of my information, and he told me that he could defiantly get me into a car the same day. So, after a trip to the bank, and paperwork filled out, I got myself a 2005 Chevy Trail Blazer with a 2 year warranty! I have had it for over seven months and I love it! They are so friendly and are willing to help you no matter what the situation! GET A CAR FROM SOUTHSIDE MOTORS!

Could not be happier with these folks. Easy process with no sales games. I swear we went to 8 other car lots and we were so upset with the games they played. Dont be fooled by Drive Time and the places that say only $500 down because that is all nonsense. Southside Motors is the only car lot that didnt make stuff up just to get us to come in. I had called them and ask how the Rent To Own program works and they told me exactly how it works. We went in and within an hour we were leaving in a 2014 Chevy Impala that is loaded with options and only has 53,000 miles. Oh and we got a 2 year warranty. All with NO CREDIT CHECKS. It didnt even matter that my husband gets paid cash for his job. We will be telling everyone about this place.

These people are very unreliable and rude. They told us that the Silver 2009 Cadillac SRX4 was a rent-to-own deal, but they turned it into a lease agreement. Additionally, they neglected to report that they got the car as a flood vehicle. They used not reporting it to scam more money from whoever was to purchase the car, it just happened to be us. This was by far the worst experience we have had with a vehicle salesman. Mike was unruly and rude when we were unhappy with the vehicle. They are scam artists using the needs of others to profit unfairly.

I just got a car off Southside Motors and I couldnt be happier. My wife and I had been everywhere and do to some serious medical issues that put our credit in the tank we were having a hard time getting a vehicle. With a special needs child that has ongoing medical issues that require sometimes 2-3 appointments a week we needed a car. We worked with Bill the salesman and Guy who I believe is one of the owners and we are so thankful it worked out. They took time with us and worked with us even though we were not working with a lot of money down and got us into a great vehicle with a good warranty and a payment we can afford. I usually dont do reviews but I am so thankful to Bill and Guy I felt like I had to let other people know that there is hope and people that do care out there. Go see them they will help you !!

All the other lots I went to werent very helpful and and felt pressure by then to buy.I actually would have ended up probably buying off this lot but a friend had offered a car to me at a decent price and went with that, money was an issue.

I was in a tight spot when I was forced to buy a new car. The interest rate was through the roof; which isnt really their fault. I had a few really terrible events take place after the purchase and had a terribly difficult time fulfilling the payment agreement in which I had made with the owner. He was in the midst of sending a tow truck to repossess my car, which was his right, instead of trying to work something out. Thankfully someone lent me the money and I payed him in full and havent spoken to anyone there since. All in all, I was in a bad place in my life and they had a chance lend a hand, make the difference and get a long-term customer in the process. But that did not happen and I was so offended that now at this point in my life where I can buy any car I would like (to an extent; I can at least buy any car on South Side Motors lot that would catch my fancy) I certainly will never again entertain the notion of spending a cent or even stepping foot near the operators of such a trifling facility of nonsense, that the vehicles themselves seem fair, even though the first trip in my new South Side motor was a trip to the mechanic, except to order dessert from the ice cream shop adjacent.

Yes you can get a car here with no checks of any kind. Theyre cars and contracts are 10 times over the Kelly blue book value with hidden fees along with no warranty. The cars are in poor shape you will have to take the car to have MAJOR repairs done to it for the duration of the leasing process. Please go to Martino motors or the place across the street that sell cars that will run right for the price your paying along with warrantys or a reputable dealer such #1 Cochran.

I have been trying to find something bad about this place. I dont care what the few bad reviews say about this place. I have had a great experience with everyone there. I have had mine for almost a year and the only thing I had to do to was buy a battery. Trust me I have been through the crap of that JD Byrider and Carhops. They just sell high miles junk. We even tried Pittsburgh Auto Depot because we heard all the radio commercials for them. They are even worse then JD and Carhops... Anyone looking for a good running vehicle with decent miles on it and you have bad credit you need to check Southside Motors out...

My experience at Southside Motors was GREAT. I needed a car really bad but I was not sure if I was going to be able to even get a car. I have a very low income due to certain circumstances. And my credit is shot. I went in and I got treated great. The guys were courtesy, funny and very professional. I would tell anybody to check this dealership out.

Ive had my 2012 Caravan for a little over 2 years now.The only problem I have had is a battery and I had to put tires on last month. I have read the other reviews and must say for the most part they are true. I had a couple months where my pay got messed up do to new people taking over the company and the guys at Southside Motors worked with me until I got it worked out. I would definitely recommend this place. This is my second vehicle from them and the first one I sold after I paid it off cause I needed something with a third row seat cause we had twins. I sold my first car from them for $7500. I had put about 35,000 miles on it and the only thing I did to it was tires and brakes at about 17,000 after I got it. I really do believe the two owners try to help people and not just try to make money off ya. I know others have said it in their reviews but I can tell you first hand.

I recently wrecked my car and needed to get a new one. My credit is a little under the weather because of a job loss. I read the reviews for this place and noticed a couple of bad ones. I decided to check them out because the bad reviews on here seemed like they were from people that didnt make their payment on time or didnt keep there insurance up to date. How can someone get mad at Southside Motors for taking their cars back because you didnt pay for them or didnt have insurance. Now that I got that off of my chest I can talk about my experience when I went to Southside Motors. I went in with a open mind because I have been turned down at 4 other places. As soon as I opened the door to go in the one owner ( GUY) welcomed me and ask me how he could help me. I told him my situation and he told me to come out on the lot and pick out a vehicle and I would be driving it home today. I said to myself here we go again. Well I will admit I was wrong. This owner took 2 hours to make sure I was helped and even got my reasonably priced insurance. It has been a little over 7 months and I can still say this place is awesome. Oh by the way at least the couple of bad reviews on here are only about people not making payments and not keeping insurance. They could be like most car lots and be people complaining about there cars breaking down..

Just a shout out to the staff down at Southside Motors. I got a Kia Optima from these guys about a month ago and I must say it was the easiest experience Ive ever had. My credit is a wreck and every other place I tried to get a car from gave me the run around and made me set at the dealership for a couple hours while they tried to get me approved. I called Southside Motors because I saw a advertisement on Facebook saying they dont do credit checks. They told me to come in and I would be able to get something nice with what I had for a down payment. Let me tell you I couldnt be happier with the whole situation. This place is the real deal people!!

I purchased a 2005 Chevy Equinox from Southside motors. Upon purchase, it started up appropriately. After I got home, it failed to start without giving it gas as I was turning the key. I called Southside with whom I took my car to their shop, and they repaired the problem. Within 15 minutes of picking it up I had to call them, the check engine light came on so I took the car there again and over that weekend it began leaking antifreeze and making new noises. Took it to their shop, they fixed the problem but I noticed a lot of swishing noises in the dash, I figured it was a little air pocket which would resolve from them muddling with the overflow tank. Now- within the last month I have started losing heat in my car. Due to having the car for almost 2 months, Southside Motors would make me take it somewhere to use my warranty. I took it to a different shop and paid to have them do a flush in attempt to see if that was the problem. It did not resolve the heating issue. Took it to ANOTHER shop, they did the inspection which it passed but they referred me to take it to a Chevy dealership to have them diagnose what the heating issue was. They stated it was the head gasket leaking into cyl #3. The wanted a ton of money to fix this which was only partially covered by my $100 deductible insurance. This is an over a month issue that I have been having. I overpaid for a car that they clearly knew had a problem because of the starting issue, I could have gone somewhere else and gotten the same car for less money and less problems.

I love this place. I went down there with no hopes of getting a car but figured Id try anyways. They set me up with the rent to own program and just a few hours after walking in I had a very nice van for my kids and I. My van has a vcr power sliding doors leather seats and a lot of nice safety features and its a newer model. Ive had some minor mechanical issues with my vehicle and each time Ive called them and they got it fixed and all taken care of with no hassle to me. Ive become good friends with several of the people that work down there. They are all wonderful and will do just about anything to help you get into a car and keep your car up and running. I dont know what Id do without these guys.

All these guys need to do is check out the cars alittle better. All they do is make sure it runs . When you get home everything else is on you. I learned my lesson the hard way with them. But if you get a car from them and you really want to spend 20,000 dollars on and used car in 2 and a half years thats on you. Just make sure you take a mechanic with you. I have no problems with the guys running the car shop because this is how they make money in life. Oh ya one more thing read the contract to a t . He wanted a down deposit of 3,000 for a 07 Equinox and wanted payments of 395 for 24 1/2 & he priced the car at 8,995 .. the KBB is 6,000-7,000// I also gave him money for 500 for the car an threated to call police if I didnt leave when i came to ask for my money and NO THEY CANT WORK WITH YOU PAYMENT OR LOWERING PRICE//Bill stated Im a waste of time because he did paperwork an they said the paperwork was worth 500 & I cant have that.. I SUGGEST LOOKING ELSE WHERE

The review makes no sense to me at all. Me and 2 of my family members have bought cars from Southside Motors and cant say enough good things about them. I put $2000.00 down and my payment is only $350.00 a month for 2 1/2 years. I got a 2 year warranty. I ended up getting a 2006 Jeep Liberty. It had 64,000 miles and drives like a nice new vehicle. Anybody that can talk bad about this place has a major problem. I think the poster below probably didnt make his payment and got his car repoed. The nerve of some people.

This dealer is a cheat!I bought a used car from him. It was ok when I tested it before I bought it. But the next morning I was going to drive the car to work, the power steering didnt work! I had the car checked by the mechanic and was told a severve leaking in power steering. I needed to pay $500 to fix the problem,and the warranty didnt cover.

Gave these idiots 2000 grand down 350 a month 1st payment was due 4 days after I bought the car, payed 12000 gs for a car that blue books for 3800 they claim I was getting this great warranty for the 8000 gs extra the car broke a few days after purchase .. and they gave me the run around,,,ohhh will fix it next week,,,oh cant fit you in ...sorry maybe next week,,,ohhh you have a warranty,,,,, but you have to pay for repairs out of your pocket,,,, and then someday youll get reimbursed... the car I got was the biggest piece of crappppp.. not just 1 problem it had 8-10 major issues.. this car should have never passed a Pa. inspection..but had brand new stickers on it ...I would like to know who does there pa inspections,,,lick mmmm stick mmm.. and before you sighn any of that bogus paper work they give you.. you better read you can only drive car like 1000 miles a month..and you dont ever own this car unless you make like a 4 grand payment after you pay 350 a month for 3 yrs. and every car they have on there lot has like 100,ooo miles or more so why do they care if you drive more than 1000 a month,, hmmm. because after you pay them 6 times what the cars worth you wont be able to make the big payment at the end of the 3 yrs..and then they can sell it to the next sucker....
