Recently I was considering canceling my ADT security system after 9 years, talking to customer service I decided to continue with the service (they were very helpful). During the conversation an appointment was made to upgrade the cell service so my unit wouldnt lose contact with ADT.8am 7/9/21 service person arrived with the part for my unit. Part Box opened and the part is an old part that cant be used.Why wasnt verification of the part needed done before the home visit?When will the part be available? Do I need to reschedule another appointment or will ADT take ownership of this issue and call me?All unanswered questions leading to HOW IMPORTANT IS CONSUMER SATISFACTION TO ADT.At this point I seriously cant say I recommend this security company, there are many security companies out there.Looking forward to how ADT handles this issue. Update to come......So its been weeks and now have another appointment this week for the update.After talking to several people in my area who also have ADT, turns out Im one of many who had the same issue. Fingers crossed the right part is brought this time.UPDATE: Appointment for today was just canceled because the part is once again unavailable.After a lengthy conversation I was told more parts are arriving next week and I would once again be called for an appointment.This makes the second time that an update on the system couldnt be done.My questing is why be bombarded with mail requests and phone calls to make appointments for this update. Its clear they are aware of a shortage in parts and availability of performing updates.Disappointed once again in ADTIm sure this will be my final update as the saga of upgrading the system continues. Ive now received a letter telling me the part will be mailed to me and in to connect it to continue my service being able to connect with the company.First that was weeks ago and once again still hasnt arrived, second originally it required a tech to install and now Im supposed to do the installation.Third after giving them ample opportunity and having patience beyond what I wanted to give.... Time To Cancel.....
Ordered the video security system. For the price I was charged, the system should work problem-free but it doesnt - cameras trigger when they shouldnt, one piece of equipment doesnt work as promised by the installation tech. Ive been an ADT customer for 20 years and havent had as many issues as with this new system. Customer service is lacking; difficult to resolve the technical issues over the phone. ADT drags their feet when it comes to sending someone to the residence, have to have a virtual appointment instead. Go with a RING system instead, folks, and save $$$ and hassle.
I will never again use Adt. Recently moved and had some medical issues at the same time SO I MISSED THE 60 DAY NOTICE WINDOW. I WAS A LONG TIME customer. I called and explained and after speaking with 4 customer service reps over a period of 70+ minutes I finally spoke with a supervisor who agree to waive the 60 day notice to cancel.. He assured me of a service end date and gave me a final amount due. I wrote down a confirmation number to document our conversation and his name. I then paid the bill in full but of course later receiwed another bill ( for 60 days notice required) I called and s/w another rep and relayed conversation and this time rep saw that the recorded conversation reflected zero balance. .I told her there was another bill. She took my number and agreed to look into it and call back. OF COURSE no call back and today another bill.. The bill is minimal. I will pay to preserve my credit report but will NEVER EVER use ADT again and we were customers for many years in 3 different states. WAY TO GO ADT!!!! I REALLY HOPE THE $6 AND CHANGE WAS WORTH IT. STAY FAR AWAY FORM THIS COMPANY. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. MANY OTHER EXAMPLES AS WELL like guaranteed free battery replacement when we switched to wireless system only to be told we had to pay to ship the batteries each time.
3 year contracts, overpriced add-ons, and (in my case) slapped up system. I am counting the days until my contract ends so I can run FAR FAR away from ADT. Until that time I will warn all I can about this company. I have spent the last year making sure everyone knows about ADTs ludicrous contracts and my horrible install experience. When my contract ends so will my crusade of truth (year and a half to go!).
I purchased my first home and ADT has been a night mare for me from the beginning.I dont recommend them to anyone..Billing is horrible the issue that you call about, you are bounced around. I hate this place. I call every month issues. I give info for automatic payment and nothing NEVER happens..if my credit wasnt an issue, I would have been dropped ADT

I cannot believe this business. Me and my husband decided to get ADT thinking with the higher price that it would be great. I cant believe the installation service and I absolutely cant believe how careless they are of customers.So, we got our installation yesterday, the guy showed up around 9 am (which is fine), when the technician saying it would take around 4 hours (which is also fine). we purchased a video package and the guy tells us the ADT doorbell camera is terrible. tried to talk us into getting a Ring Doorbell instead. first off if I wanted a ring doorbell, I would have ordered one on amazon and installed that myself. but second off if how does a company still trying to sell equipment that doesnt work well, or all the time(like the technician stated)? time for the company to fix the problem instead!! but instead, they just replace it with a different companys equipment. but thats not nearly as bad as my next complaint. so anyway, the technician installed the touch screen thing for the security system and installs the sensors in the windows. He installed the touch screen into an outlet that only works with the light switch. so now for my security system to be Armed, my living room light has to be on!!!! real smart. I DO NOT WANT TO KEEP MY LIGHT ON THROUGH THE NIGHT WHILE I SLEEP OR WHEN I AM AWAY. Then this is the worst part of the story. This technician finishes those and is still to install the porch and rear side camera/doorbell, and he just says that he has to leave and drop off parts somewhere up the street and wont be back no longer than one hour. which I should not have agreed to in the first place. anyway then 1.5 hours pass and my husband calls the technician and no answer. the technician calls back and says that he is on his way back and will be there. My husband asked how long the rest of the installation will be because we had plans to leave a little while after, and the technician said it would only be about an hour. So if that technician would have came back when he said he would be back and finished in an hour we would be able to leave in time. BUT NO! another 45 minutes passed and he was not back and we called back and told him we have to cancel the finish of it and reschedule it. So the tech ended up back to pick up his equipment that he left at my house and said to call him the next day to finish the installation. this technician was acting and looked very strange and our assumption was that this man was intoxicated of some type of drug. ive never witnessed anything like this of somebody who was supposed to be working. I was frightened when this man came back into my house after HE LEFT HIS UNFINISHED WORK FOR ABOUT 2.5 HOURS.So then me and my husband called customer service to reschedule for another week and since my installation was NOT finished, we had requested to not get charged of hour monthly payment until it is completely finished.BUT NO, my bank was charged for a VIDEO package with NO videos.
The worst provider imaginable. Starting the guy came and estroyed my wiring. Some guy learning on the job! Then they would not fix it after calling them back. The panels stopped working after 2 years and they never called me to find out. Last week I took the door monitors off and still no one called me. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB.
Very Satisfied! Technician was very courteous and knowledgeable and explained all the features of the system that was installed. After all was said and done I am very satisfied with the system that was installed at no cost to me.
I cannot say enough about how happy I am with the entire experience! The technician, Chris, was absolutely incredible. He spent so much time answering all of my many questions, was amazingly patient, professional, courteous, friendly, kind, and even funny! I could not be more impressed with his work. He set up my system with the attention that he would give his own family. I am so grateful that Chris was just simply amazingly awesome!!! He thoroughly explained how to use the equipment and showed me what he installed to make my home as safe as possible. He did an initial walk-through around both the inside as well as the outside in order to gauge exactly what I would need for my security system. Because of his background as an Army Ranger, as well as his obvious innate intelligence as well as his technical knowledge and skills, I feel extremely comfortable and confident that he has all the knowledge necessary to outfit anyone with an outstanding home security system. The peace of mind I now have as a direct result of not only having ADT for my home security system, but also from having Chris install it, is priceless. Protect Your Home is very, very lucky to be able to have Chris on their staff!! In addition, the entire process was so easy; my installation was scheduled for the day after I called! The sales rep I talked to when I called to get info was also very helpful and friendly. And Chris got me activated immediately, as well as showed me how to use the cool phone app. He also reassured me that if I had any additional questions or problems, or forgot something he said about using the equipment, to not hesitate to call him on his cell...how awesome is that! I am so pleased with the whole experience!!! The ability of Protect Your Home to make me feel safe and secure is beyond words. I will definitely be recommending ADT and Protect Your Home to my friends and family!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you to ADT and Protect Your Home, and especially to Chris, for such an awesome experience!!!
This is my first time to have an account with you guys. When I called customer service, the person who helped me was Phillip. He was very helpful. Phillip explained to me thoroughly the service that I was going to receive. About the technician ( Valente Guillen ), he was very helpful and patience to show to us how to use the remote/keypad. He didnt leave until we were comfortable to use the remote/keypad. All I can say keep up the good work especially customer service.
Deceitful “bate and switch” scams. They showed up with unmarked vehicle, no business card, didn’t honor the price that was quoted the day before on phone. It went from a 19.99 dollar a month reactivation proce- to a pitch to sell 10k worth of equipment - negotiated down to 5k. It was over 3 hours wasted and now i have a hole in my wall- when i asked him to keave - he called his company- wouldn’t leave -was a horrible experience. Beware.
Very knowledgeable about system and took time to thoroughly explain system to us . Friendly and personable .had to call customer service about app on mobile and very helpful . Very good!!!!
Terrible Company talk about bait and switch. Especially Pitt branch, beware they say they work for ADT but they don’t and will lie through their teeth to make a sale. They only get commission for what they sell and they will try to rob you blind. Do yourself a favor make sure it’s a true ADT rep that comes into your home, letting these people into your home is the same as letting a criminal into your house. Avoid this company.
