Very clean and well kept. Lots to select from.
Great mask selection!
Always fun to walk around and find some cool new pitt gear. Huge selection of supplies. Clothes are overpriced but that’s what you’d expect.
A great school book store that has friendly and helpful staff, a large selection of everything, and desirably priced items in a modern space.
This place has come a long way since my day as an undergrad. You can find any kind of Pitt item you want to buy. Great selection of everything. But more than a university store, the on-site IT support staff is extremely handy and convenient. Also, they now have a creative space on the bottom level where students can come and do just about anything: paint, play guitar, and all kinds of other stuff. They have a good selection of clothing too. Check out the clearance section on the bottom level as well. Great deals on many things. I got two new Pitt hats at $7/ each and shirts for my boys at $5/ each.
First visit to the place that I spent a few hours searching for the textbooks I needed throughout my time at the University of Pittsburgh. It has changed quite a bit. Still great to visit after all the years.Staff wa extremely helpful and welcoming. Wanted to discuss Back in the day. Really enjoyed visiting with them all.
Such a beautiful, local bookstore. With so many floors and options, youre sure to leave with some gems. The young man working was super helpful with assisting us in looking for books. The general atmosphere is just so calming and beautiful. Definitely worth a visit, this place will turn you into a little bookworm.
Pretty standard college bookstore experience. If you like Pitt swag, its got plenty.
Their business model is to charge an extremely steep premium for ease of access, when people could just search the ISBN online or even check out books for free at the library. Its well thought out, but you just have to be smarter than them. As long as you figure that out after your first semester, youre on your way to saving (literally) $1-2k on books.
Lots of great resources for students. Textbooks, technology help desk, and the creativity center. Everyone I have interacted with there was very helpful and friendly.
Completely remodeled, love Pitts new bookstore. Now with a wider selection of books plus much, much, much more Pitt gear and other cool gifts (non-Pitt gifts too). Has a small Starbucks counter service and a computer/cellular/Genius bar help area.
The prices are high, being a university store, and the selection narrow. Useful in a pinch, but try elsewhere first! Staff is always friendly, though, so thats a plus.
Not all textbooks are available here; out of 8 textbooks that I needed for this semester, I was able to find only one. Also dont rely heavily on their website as it is not always up to date. Nonetheless, people there are nice and helpful, and they would do their best to help you when you need help.
Wonderful service and great staff. But Im an alumnus and sorta proud and biased.
Overpriced, but they have what you need when you need it. IT help? They got it. Textbooks? They got it.Theyve effectively cornered the Oakland market on education material, but at least you know its there and that its available.
Expensive enough to almost be immoral considering it’s targeting students. If you can shop elsewhere I would. They have an extremely strict return policy even with same day returns and there’s never really anyone around to help you. Got a lecture while I was checking out about how it was the largest privately owned bookstore in Pittsburgh and how I should buy things there because it benefited the university. I already pay tens of thousands of dollars to Pitt. I shouldn’t also be asked to pay $8 for a notebook. Go elsewhere.
The staff was nice, but so are con men. From textbooks to lip gloss, there is nothing at this store that you cannot easily find elsewhere for much, much cheaper. Literally, nothing. There is no reason to shop here. The business totally relies on taking advantage of people. Seriously, they would go out of business without it.For textbooks, its not even hard to find, for example, a $130 textbook for $30 at a trustworthy site. Simply type in the ISBN into Google and many will come up. If it doesnt, look for the international edition, they are the same book. You can get a brand new book much cheaper than this store sells used ones. They slap a different cover on and raise the price 400% then sell it to us stupid Americans.Dont get taken advantage of. These people are criminals. They sell you a $30 book for $200, 4 months later buy it back for $30 and sell it again for $150. It is insanity that they even have customers. They should be ashamed of themselves. I would be.
I often use this shop. Most of stationery are available in this shop, and they offer a wide variety of books for the students. They also have perfect selection of PITT gifts, which often attract PITT visitors.
Great store to get your university of Pitt merchandise
You can purchase Pitt themed items here. The items are rather expensive but not absurdly expensive. They are high quality items
While the staff is friendly and helpful, and the store is clean and organized, the prices are way too high. Its obvious that the store is taking advantage of the students, especially with the entirely useless return policy that seems to be designed to screw students over.
Wide variety of products to choose from. Helpful staff. Prices are what youd expect at a university sponsored store - nothing is cheap.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the University Store! Great staff, good deals!
Convenient, nice selection, decent prices (especially on clearance items).
The main bookstore for Pitt. Was renovated a year or so ago and has a lot to offer. Cafe, bookstore, tech center, area to sit. Textbooks are a bit hard to find and in general things are more expensive than they need to be.
It was very crowded because it was family weekend but the service was good and friendly
They need to be consistent with the lines that form when everyone is getting their books at the beginning of the semester. Sometimes it makes it more efficient and logical, but sometimes the lines turns in weird and wrong ways that are confusing.
Nice store. I wish they had a greater selection of shirts and prices are fairly high...
If you like PITT and need items, you will find it here.
Great bookstore ( in addition to being the primary textbook store). Selection is extensive and wide ranging, along with gift items and music.
Just got a photo frame. Very good for buying gifts
Of note, they have a wonderful space downstairs which facilitates creativity and critical thinking. Check it out
They sell all kinds of knick knacks and mainly clothing labeled with pitt. This one has school supplies and toiletries. And the textbooks are downstairs. At the beginning of the term expect about an hour wait to checkout due to textbook sales. The prices are high but due to convince and copyright of pitt. The bookstore on Forbes has exclusively clothing and flags and license plates. Forbes also has higher prices and on the corner of forbes and Bigelow there is a temporary tent set up run by an ex Pittsburgh football player they sell clothing and hats at lower prices.
Have been here few times Nd every time a warm friendly place
Good service, very nice. Slightly difficult to navigate, but easy once you get the hang of it.
A good place to spend your work break at.
Its way over priced for things like pens, notebooks, and other stuff you might need for class. The lines at the beginning of semester atrocious. I waited in line for around an hour in a half at 6pm at night but even longer during the day. If you have any kind of tuition help/scholarship only 1 person at 1 register can help you with that, so people pass as you wait in another line. For as big as campus is the store is absurdly small. The textbook section on the bottom floor is cramped and disheveled, especially after the students are done rummaging through it to find the books they need because not all the books are labeled properly for the classes.
Workers are friendly, sells pretty much everything needed for classes at Pitt, from safety gear to specific Lit reading lists and textbooks, and notebooks. Gets apocalyptically crowded the first week of every semester
Great setup for Pitt employees. Can do monthly withdrawals from paycheck for computers.
Overpriced licensed apparel. The manager was extremely unaccomdating in trying to return a $124 unworn jacket with all the tags on it just because the receipt was lost. Would not even offer store credit when a bank receipt was produced. Very disappointed.
Overpriced books. Get smart find out what book you need. And eBay or amazon
Excellent!! Great selection of items and reasonable prices. H2P!! 💙💛
A lot of cool Pitt gear but its super expensive
Great Pitt gear but a little pricey
Pretty pricing and limited selection outside of clothes.
Selection is alright, but prices are VERY steep. Lines are also extremely long any time within three weeks of start/end of the semester. Almost always (with some exceptions) better off ordering online.
The good thing is you can buy dirt cheap stuff here. They charge for plastic bags and most of their apparel is expensive.
A whole lot of stuff. From computers to classroom textbooks to bottle openers and plenty of Pitt gear.
First time in here in quite a few years. Looks really great.
Excellent bookstore, much more than just a campus store. They have a wide selection of books for everyone too.
Good place to grab Pitt merchandise
I got a new Windows for my laptop and tablet plus other software all for free. The Technology Help Desk staff is wonderful.
Very helpful staff and cute store, although not a terribly large
Friendly staff and wide variety, but it is pretty overpriced!
Nice set up with plenty of choices for alumni
Went in to look for Pittsburgh garb, they had an amazing selection of Pitt University everything and it was a great book store, very friendly and helpful staff but little to choose from for just Pittsburgh collectibles
Except that its overpriced its very nice.
Helpful staff, good selection
Nice store with lots of university brand products
The store is overpriced. The copycat customer service is poor. I didnt receive my product at the time promised nor any contact explaining the reason for delay.
I had excellent service.
Beautiful modern building but terribly busy and I couldnt buy the book for class because the card Verifone card scanner was not working, the manager told me to come back later instead of checking me out in another line
Good stuff for college kids
Best spot for University gear!
Great store has everything we needed!
Has just about everything you need if youre willing to overpay for it
The store has most basic things students need. Avoid going during the first week or so of classes if you can - youll probably end up waiting in line for about an hour if you do.
Super expensive, but useful.
Great bookstore, they also sell apparel and gifts
Good luck getting any help during the first couple weeks of the semester. Plenty of salespeople doing nothing but smiling.
Great place for all your Pitt Swag
Some things are overpriced while others are a great deal. Staff is always nice.
Way too overpriced for simple supplies.
Best selection of Pitt stuff!
Good option for rental books
Good, prices are expensive for everything and they can be slow at getting your order in when ordering online
A lot of really cool Pitt stuff in here, and the staff is mostly students so its good too, but most stuff is terribly overpriced. Especially textbooks.
The books here are expensive and it makes me sad
Pros: large selection of textbooks and Pitt merchandise, and friendly staff.Cons: overly priced textbooks, and if you sell them back to the bookstore you get back less than $100 for all of your textbooks combined. I have been shopping for textbooks on Amazon since 2012 and I get back up to 40% of the textbook prices when I sell them back to Amazon (so around $200-$300 back)
Great college store...
Great options for University students at affordable prices
Loved getting Pitt gear.
Typical university store where you can buy Pitt and Pittsburgh stuff
Looking for a stethoscope. Didnt have alot of options.
Pricey but staff is nice
Very helpful friendly staff
Good people work here
They are way overpriced! I asked them to hold some books on Tuesday, went first thing Thursday morning and they said they put them back but they were unable to locate them. I guess it worked out ok because I bought the books online for 1/2 the price.
Love this place.
Largest Pitt bookstore. Textbooks, gear, school supplies, electronics.
Its a college book store... Everything is overpriced, but its convenient for students.
Great University bookstore!
Nice service
Limited selection with high prices.
Lots of different things
Good one!
Expect full price plus $25 on everything
Has a lot of Pitt merchandise, but fairly expensive.
Excellent service!
