The cashier that works at this place will make back handed comments to you if you are wearing a mask and the owner is supportive of it. Ive been shopping here for well over 10 years for my self and to top off beer for my restaurant. Theres plenty of other options out there.

Ive been shopping at this beer distributor for some time, havent had a problem before today. Some employees have been helpful in the past, others made neither a good or bad impression, just processed me as a customer, with no problem. Today, I stopped in, wearing a mask, which is optional, and I choose to do it. Whether it actually helps, I cant say for sure, but I feel it beats doing nothing in the current situation. Its not that big a deal to me.Anyway, today, the salesperson (wearing a Reagan/Bush 1984 shirt) waits on me, didnt seem to have a problem with me at first. After paying for my beer, he glances at a maskless customer that walked through the door, and broadcasts thats what I like to see, a customer without a mask. Apparently, my wearing a mask offends him. What he doesnt know is that a relative of mine was buried last week, after spending the better part of the past month in an ICU due to COVID. The spouse of this relative is still hospitalized, not sure if recovery will happen. I cant understand how a business that wants to be profitable allows this kind of behavior from its employees. After reading the previous reviews, this store wants a certain kind of customer. Im not one of them anymore.

Zero star rating! I live in West View and go to West View Plaza regularly. I went here back in April 2020, right when COVID-19 cases were starting to rise but before masks were mandated. The guy ringing me out (pictured now in the white and green shirt) made fun of me for wearing a mask. Then and there I resolved not to shop at Sams again. Time passed on and I thought maybe I shouldnt boycott an entire business due to one, possibly temporary employee. So I went back there today (August 14, 2020) after doing some food shopping, and theres this same guy again (white and green shirt). Not wearing a mask as soon as I walk in the door. Several other customers were in the store as well. I was livid. I watched him ring out other customers without putting a mask on or even the bandana around his neck. I tired to get a picture of him doing so, but I think he saw me and backed out of my view behind a display with a wide grin on his face. I eventually caught him off guard and got the picture attached to this review. (Theres another older guy not wearing his mask either). I left without buying anything. I guarantee that this guy (white and green shirt) would have said something to me if I bought something. He obviously has no care or regard for the health and safety of customers, people in general, the law, and clearly gets off on watching other people notice him not wearing a mask. Regardless of his position on the companies totem pole, this place should be shut down as it is clearly a company wide promotion to not wear a mask. I will be contacting the Pennsylvania state governors office immediately after submitting this review and spread the word far and wide to not shop here.

I love this place!! It had an excellent selection of beer. All the employees were very helpful and courteous during these troubling times. Especially the gentleman in the green and white shirt from the previous comment. So to all who are reading this, I dont know what that person was talking about, but all of the employees have always been so respectful and amazing everytime Im there. I will always continue to shop here, because their prices and selections are great, and their employees make me feel comfortable and welcome!

This is the best beer distributor ever! Their selection and prices are impeccable! The employees are very personable, outgoing, welcoming, respectful, and they all have a great sense of humor. They always make my experience fun and pleasant! Especially the one guy, Jimmy. He is the best!Concerning the masks and Covid, they do not force people to wear masks. They allow everyone to make their own decisions with what they are comfort with; it’s called civil liberties. This used to be America, remember?!?!

I go to this distributor quite frequently and have always had a fair experience at this distributor. Today I went to buy a 30 pack and the worker checking me out started off by harassing me for wearing a mask (due to COVID-19). I tried to explain calmly that it is for the protection of others and not myself-- that I was wearing a mask as a duty as a citizen. He was quite rude. I will never go back to this store. Not that it will be that much of an impact Im sure, but I drink a 30 pack a week, roughly. Lets do the math. Lets say at $24/pack, one pack every week of the year (52), thats $1,248 of sales/year that they lost. At least. All because they have a worker who harasses people for following proper public protections.

Place is fantastic. Great selection, great prices and the employees are second to none. Helpful, knowledgeable and over all nice.

This was my first experience at Tobacco/Beer Outlet and it was a very positive one. Employee JUSTIN was not only profession and helpful (I’m beer challenged) he was also very friendly and personable!! Kudos Justin—I’ll be back!!!!!Ms Chris Nash

The Guy in the White and Green Shirt mentioned in Kevin G Review is same guy that was Harassing me for Wearing a Mask. I no Longer go to this Beer Distributor because off him. Me and my step Dad have been coming here for 10 years and no Longer Do. Me and my Step Dad spend $82 a week in this Store.

Ehhh... wont be going back there for beer again. The one guy behind the counter made me feel really uncomfortable. I Had a awkward exchange and got outa there. I think it was because i had a mask on for the whole covid thing .... he even touched my shoulder.... i think he was trying to get under my skin.... idk, It was odd and want to let others know.

Good selection of beers by case, half-case, and 6-pack. Lots of free parking and in same plaza as a state liquor store and a Giant Eagle.

Extremely racists! Every employee with the exception of one that has been pleasant. Everyone else if your not white be prepare to be treated disrespectfully and watched like a hawk. I wish I knew the 1 guy name that was nice. I watch the interaction between customers and employees the only difference is skin color how they are treated.

After today the one man going to tell me we arent children because a scratch off didnt scratch in the corner.I been going there so many times & direspected a few times. Today has pushed me passed my limit. They are racist. Look down on my for being with a black man. Seriously!!!!! Never again will I go here.

Decent selection, however I strongly suggest you check the date on beer prior to making a purchase. I would have been happy to purchase a number of different IPAs, however the newest option was bottled 6 months ago and the oldest, 9 months. Unacceptable for IPAs and I left without making a purchase. Likely wont return.

None of the employees and multiple customers were in the store without a mask. There were no directional or spacing markers as well which was unacceptable, especially for a store with such limited aisle spacing.

Anyone who gives 5 stars must be paid off lol

Was just there to use a lottery coupon, which I have done several times in the past. An old man told me they don’t accept them, told me to go to Hexx when I said that’s BS I’ve used them before. He claimed he was the owner! Horrible customer service
