The service could be a bit better. A lot of shops have been closed down for mens apparel in this area. Would be great if they up their shirts for men like they used to have. I like their big assortment of Sporting Goods,, Etc

Went in shopping for tent poles asked the associate straight off he tells me we dont have any. So I continue to shop walked through the isle guess what I found? Tent poles not just one but two. Go figure they have ppl working there for big 5 losing sales because their associates dont know their inventory. Or I hate to say maybe because I am not caucasian I wouldve received better services.

They dont have mens sizes. Some 1x and 2x, but no 3x, 4x.

Big 5 always has good deals. This locations manager needs to have his employees work on their customer service skills. No greeting, talking to each other and ignoring customers, no did you find everything you needed or even thank you at checkout. Go for the savings only... and know what you want.

More fishing tackle than Walmart during covid, plus they have guns. Employees are always helpful, to the near point of over help

Horrible experience shopping at this big 5 in Pismo Beach. I do not go shopping much at all. Im usually at work 6 days a week however, today I needed to go buy a fathers day gift and I wanted to purchase a pocket knife. I was greeted at the door with a lady in my face stating that I couldnt proceed into the store unless I had a face mask. I advised her that I have asthma and I cannot wear a face mask. She told me well in that case you cannot shop here and I would have to go online to purchase my product. Another worker bombarded me with the same story and told me that i could not stand in the lobby without a mask. I was not aware of this new policy and I needed to purchase an item for Fathers Day the next day. I went outside and got my vented work vest out of my car and Loosely tied it around my face so that I could breathe. Walked backed into the store bought my overpriced pocket knives and left. Workers were rude and I felt discriminated against. I guess they felt safe when i came back in with my dirty vest with holes all over it covering my face so they let me shop. Meanwhile i sat there and watched one worker talking to a coworker for 3 minutes with no face mask at all. I only purchased my item there today because i fealt like I had to get it in time for fathers day. I will never be back to this Big 5 or any other big 5. I will never spend another dollar here and I will let other people know not to as well.

The location and store management are excellent. They always display great customer service and the sale prices are very competitive. I have shopped here since they arrived to the area along with family and friends. I recommend them for any and all sporting goods needs. Footwear is a big category for me along with the Sporting Arms and Ammunition.

This place always has good sales, helpful staff and a nice clean parking lot. Sign up for their daily emails, which always come with great daily deals at amazingly low prices. You can find pretty much anything you need to have a great outdoor experience. Hi to their lovely manager, shes awesome!

Employees were not extremely enthusiastic about their jobs but did what you asked.Great deals, actually if we had bought soccer supplies there it would have been almost half the price of another store we went to!

The customer service in this store is horrible. My husband, daughter and I went in to purchase soccer supplies for my daughter and not one person greeted us with a “hello” or even bothered to ask us if we needed help. You could barely even find an employee out on the floor. Also, when we went to check out the sales associate had a rude attitude and was not welcoming at all. I’ve been in customer service since I was 18 years old and I was always taught to be welcoming, kind and accommodating to all who entered the store. Furthermore, I never write reviews so it has to be bad to get me to even write one. The manager either needs to do a better job at training his or her employees or all need to be fired and they need to start over with better ones.

Shoes are a bit pricey

The Two ladies working the counter need to be replaced. One lady miscounted money back to a customer and argued with her about it. The other one that was helping me was very rude and unprofessional. Took my sons to buy some baseball stuff and when We got to the counter. They asked her how her day was. She ignored them. I asked how her day is. She ingnored me too. After getting my receipt, I looked at her and told her to have a good day and smiled. She gave me the dirtiest look ever. These women were RUDE AF

Good sporting goods store. We bought water socks for use in Zion NP. They were a bit of a.life saver by having a good assortment of these, and cheap.
