Dr. Honig has been my dermatologist for many years. Her practice runs on schedule, which I appreciate. She knows what she is doing. She is efficient and caught a basal cell cancer on my nose was no one would have noticed. She biopsied it, called and told me I needed to go to a MOHS surgeon and gave me suggested referrals. The team at Hopkins was amazing!!If you are warm and friendly to the front desk staff you will receive kind and courteous treatment. I have NEVER had a problem with Dr. Honig or her staff.I have not experienced any of the issues people have reported here. Im not saying they didnt happen, Im just saying a patients attitude is everything.I always refer Dr. Honig to my friends, and everyone I know is happy with her.She does not over schedule so its important to arrive on time with all your paperwork.

Office staff impersonal and prone to billing mistakes. Honig spends very little time with patients, 15 minutes max-usually less. Her time sensitive approach ensures the maximum number of patients seen in day. Regrettably, it also ensures undiagnosed skin cancer.

I went to Dr. Honig yesterday for two concerns. She was very good. She didn’t hurry. She explained everything. She froze a wart on my back. Numbed up my arm and removed a benign cyst. She did say they would send it out anyway. Although she was quick( not in a bad way) she was friendly, shared laughs with us as well as her nurse. I would highly recommend her.The front staff is efficient that can come off cold or unfeeling BUT they have other things to attend to. Our needs were taken care of. That is what is expected. Doctors provide a service their beside manner is important. The staff at her office runs like a well oiled machine. It can be off putting but as someone before me said. You aren’t there to make friends. This was my first dermatologist appointment. I will return for suture removal and for any other concerns I may have. Thank you Doctor Honig!

I saw Dr. Honig in mid-November 2020 and was prepared to face the Dragon Lady at the front desk the other reviews talked about. I was even ready to face a hurried, nasty doctor, but I needed to see a dermatologist, so I made the appointment because the hours were convenient and no other dermatologists hours fit my schedule.I am writing this review to dispel all the bad things those other reviews talked about. This was an efficient, well run office with a genuinely nice staff and a highly competent doctor.The nasty front desk person must have been replaced because the receptionist could not have been more pleasant. The office manager and the doctor’s assistant were extremely nice to deal with also.Dr. Honig is a knowledgeable doctor who did not rush in any way, shape, or form.The visit was a wonderful experience. Please do not confuse efficiency with an uncaring attitude. You are there for services, not to make new friends.I just made an appointment for a return visit and know that I will be in good hands. If you need a highly competent dermatologist, do not hesitate to see Dr. Honig.

Dr. Honig has very poor bedside manner. During my recent visit she spent a total of 3 minutes with me. She was completely disengaged and didnt give me a chance to share my thoughts/feelings. Ive been to other dermatologists in the past and I have had completely different experiences. I will not be returning to her in the future.

Went to Dr. Honig a few years ago and I was impressed with the efficiency of the office and I felt well taken care of by the doctor and the nurse. I faint easily and the nurse and doctor were very patient and caring while I struggled with some fears I had. I felt confident in Dr. Honig’s assessment and advice. I’d recommend her to anyone needing a dermatologist. She knows her stuff!

She has good training (Hopkins.) Unfortunately, she has become more a money-making machine than a physician. She is rushed, clearly not the least bit interested in hearing what might be relevant history, and ending up making the wrong diagnosis in my case, to the point that I put up with discomfort for a year, following her hurried, misguided suggestion, before I saw someone who is interested/competent. She rushes from room to room, practicing assembly line medicine, (at very high reimbursements for simple procedures.) Also, (I am a physician myself) I found it clearly inappropriate when she did not want me to remove my shorts for my annual full-body melanoma check. One can of course have a melanoma anywhere. This is grossly below an acceptable level of care.

Dr Hoenig is very knowledgeable . I have been there a number of times in the past few years as a referral from a client . I’m not sure why the front staff continues to remain arrogant unfriendly and rude .However I just let go and never took time to write a review . But today was over the edge episodes . I called this morning for a routine medication issue update and was spoken to in an aggressive and Condescending manner by the front desk person Tina . I wasn’t helped with my question in a proper and respectfuL way . I wasn’t helped at all .. I hung up and looked for the google reviews ! Just to see public opinions ..The front desk deserves every bad review .. and there are no positive ones .. I have to add that the ones that have already been posted are actually too nice ! After thinking about it I called back just for Tina to yell at me l that she never spoke with me 15 min prior ! I am in disbelief that such a great doctor would put up with such a rude staff .

Dr. Honig is an excellent diagnostician. She is very quick but I am not one who is interested in a big talker for a doctor. She knows what she is doing. I agree with some of the others about the office staff but again, I am not big on chit chat so I really dont deal with them.

I found Dr Honig to be caring and to take her time with me. The Patient First referred me to her for a same day appointment, which she was able to accommodate. I live in Westminster and with life being what it is, I am unable to find the time to continue to see Dr Honig, but I would highly recommend her and have!

Try to get them on the phone...good luck, they seem as they dont want any new patients, the phone is either busy or out of hours message, this is a joke, not sure if Dr. Honig aware of that or is she encouraging to ignore new customers. went to another office...

Yall arent grading the receptionist, youre supposed to be rating the doctorAs for the doctor, I always felt as if my exams werent very thorough, none of my moles were photographed or measured or treated with much care (as my current dermatologist does). It always felt like I was being rushed as a patient.Also if you have a issue involving any privates go-to another dermatologist, she refuses to look.

I waited 2 months to get an appointment for my daughter. Dr. Honig came in the room like a bat out of hell. She wouldnt let me give my daughters medical history and completely rushed the visit. She told me to buy a $30 cream from her office and wrote a prescription for my daughter. The visit did not even last 5 minutes. The outcome was that my daughters face completely dried up and is not peeling. If she would have let me speak I would have told her that most of everything I tried had dried her skin up, but again, she wouldnt let me speak. I have never been treated that way and will NEVER go back to that unprofessional doctor again!!!!

My husband and I have been patients with this practice for several years. We have each had minor procedures in the office performed with care and without any complications. We both highly recommend Dr. Honig.

I used to work here. After 2 years of being a goid employee, I gave 3 weeks notice and she refuses to give me a reference. I should if just quit. There was no teamwork. Some of the staff were on the internet most if the time. When the Dr. wasnt there they were having lunch parties. I never felt welcomed or part of the team. Actually, I felt some of the staff to be racist towards me because I was white. I am so happy I dont work there anymore. I dreaded going to work there and I was part time.

Unfortunately I didnt even get to meet Dr.Barbara, Thanks to her rude, unfriendly phone receptionist Pam.I called to have a consultation for the laser Genius thats good for discoloration in my case along with other great things that laser genius has to offer. After asking her a few questions about this particular pacedure, I went on to tell her it was for my feet and not my face. After telling the receptionist Pam its for my foot I think she got creeped out after that because she became very rude,unfriendly, and unwelcoming. So Dr. Barbara lost a customer that was willing to come in and pay what it takes to get the job done. The right and professional thing for Pam to do is place me on hold and ask the doctor if she performs this type of pecedure on the feet instead of assuming what the Doctor do or dont do. PAM a DERMATOLOGIST deals with SKIN not just FACE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Front desk staff is rude, not welcoming, discussed office matters openly in front of patients, one of the front Desk reps lost a check which had Account information. The Dr. was not welcoming or friendly and rushed the appointment.
