In early April, Ohio Mulch dropped off a one-ton load of mulch on my driveway that I never ordered. It was supposed to go to my neighbor. The driver ran over two bushes on the way out of the driveway and didnt even say anything. After a few weeks of back and forth, I finally got them to agree to replace my bushes. They came out, removed the damaged bushes, and just left. Its been over a month, and they still havent put in new bushes. They dodge my calls and dont return my voicemails. Terrible company that doesnt bother to rectify their own mistakes.
Been here a few times and recieved quick service. I get product by bulk in my trailer and did feel product was a bit short compared to other places I have been, but only got two yards of mulch each time. The mulch was good. Went recently and they didnt have top soil which put a delay on a project. Since it is a smaller location, may want to call ahead to make sure they have what you need.
2019: had much different and better experience. Ohio Mulch Pickerington delivered 25 cubic yards of mulch. It took three trips. On the last trip the truck got stuck just off the drive. The driver, Marcus, took the time needed to work out the problem and get the rest of the mulch delivered. I am very happy! Thanks for a great experience.2018: So I ordered my 8th shipment of mulch in the last 3 years like I had every other on the Ohio Mulch online store. I got a call the week before asking to confirm the delivery date claimed it did not come through on the order. I was hoping to get the mulch since was going to be off May 4. May 4 came no mulch so called the number of the person who had called me the week before no answer. I sent an email as directed on the website and on Monday got a call they were coming to bring the mulch. The instructions for delivery were “ leave on the grass in front of the garage where the other mulch was.” This was a large 20 foot round area where the grass is dead covered in residual mulch right at the edge of the drive the truck could stay 100% on the gravel and just dump the mulch. We discussed this when the driver called that morning to confirm delivery and I thought no more of it until I got home that night and realized the driver had dumped the mulch in front of the garage door where I needed to pull in and charge my electric car. I called the driver and was told I should call the manager. I called the number I had from before no answer. I called the number on the website and spoke to a female employee who listened to my concerns and then said she would get with someone. I came home Tuesday night mulch still there. No call. I called another the number again and got a manager who said I deserved a call back. About 15 minutes later the manager of Pickerington Ohio Mulch called me. He explained they did what the instructions clearly said and dumped it in front of the garage. When I pointed out that the rest of the instructions were on the grass he explained his driver got stuck in the grass the week before so he made a strict no dumping in the grass rule. So they did what they could.’ He could not do anything that night but would send the driver out to move the mulch the next day. He was not really owning the mistake nor did he really want to fix it. The next day I got a call at 11:30 it was him. He had sent his employee out and they moved some of the mulch (about 1/2 a cubic yard maybe). The driver quit. He would have to do it himself but he couldn’t leave the store. He was not sure what he was going to do. He again stated he felt they had followed the directions. He also said if this was the 8th delivery and only one went wrong that was really pretty good right? He also told me he loves cars hates that I can’t charge mine. I had told him I had 2-3 days worth of charge during our first conversation. I explained I was not driving much and could go a day or two more he accused me of exaggeration and got angry. I told him to call me when he decided what he wanted to do about this. So far I have heard nothing. I have changed all my plans for yard work and am now trying to move the mulch myself to where it needs to go. WE MOVED ALL THE MULCH OURSELVES. The pictures show the place the mulch was to be placed only 15 feet from where they dumped it and the truck would never have had to leave the drive way to do it! I will never use Pickerington Ohio Mulch again. I am wring all this to let other users know my experience with this manager and you can decide if you want to do business with them yourself or not. Look at the other reviews! Lots of bad experiences here.
My delivery driver was really nice and he worked extra late to get my shipment to me on the day that they scheduled it. When I called the office they answered my calls and kept me up-to-date on when my shipment would be coming.
I have used this company before and was satisfied. This time was not like that time because the company had issues with delivering the mulch due to truck and trucker issues. Although I did have to continue to call them on a daily basis and was told that everyday I was going to get the mulch, they did finally deliver it. BUT, they were transparent and kind and so was I. When they did come with the mulch, it was placed right where I wanted it--they called me to make sure it was correct. The point being: their products are good, they are honest, and they try to give the best service they can. I recommend!
Delivery was scheduled for a Monday, they refused to give me a time range. I took a day of work and waited all day, no one showed up. When I called, they couldnt find my paper (I ordered online and my credit card was charged), so they thought the driver might be on his way. No show. I called the next morning, they said they had found my paper, I asked that it be delivered first thing in the morning as I was already a day late. they agreed. No one showed up. I called again around 2pm, and they couldnt find my paper again. I forwarded my e-mail order receipt, didnt make a difference. I asked to speak to the manager, he was not at work that day but they gave me his phone number. I called, he didnt answer his phone and his voice mailbox was full. Wonderful. I ended up having to dispute the charge on my credit card and go with a different topsoil provider (who ended up being cheaper AND gave me a 2 hour delivery window so I didnt have to wait an entire day).
I have bought mulch from this company for probably 15-20 years. Had very little problems. However this year all kinds of problems happened. I will never buy from this company anymore. They cannot be trusted. Just like in previous reviews they could not get or mulch delivered. We were promised delivery on a Friday. No one showed up. No phone call or anything. We called the store and was promised delivery on Saturday. Once again no mulch, no phone call. It took us till Monday to get our mulch. We called the corporate office and talked to a Dwayne. You would think that a company would offer a discount for all the issues that we had to go through. Well they offered none. My wife was told from Dwayne that he would see that we got a$50 discount. My wife was happy. It has now been 30 days since delivery. No discount received. We called Dwayne and he informed me that he does NOT remember talking to my wife and he would never offer a discount. As I stated earlier we have been doing business with this company for 20 years and evidently they do not care about their customers. They have just lost one customer. Dont know where I will buy mulch but it will not be from them.
I feel very sorry for the one employee they have running everything. Customers waiting long periods of time to be served. In addition, having yard waste that blocks your ability to buy any stone product is inexcusable. I would use Lowes or Home Depot over OM if you have the opportunity.
I got a bulk load of topsoil and the ladies that helped me were very nice and professional.I am going back to get a bulk load of mulch.
Need to watch the guy who works there they are charging twice as much for material, know your prices.
Horrible customer service and long wait time absolutely no customers in front of us and still had to wait going on a half hour now and the 57 gravel is full of sandNo one should do business here I normally go to Kurtz off Frank rd in Columbus way better customer service and prices not to mention quality of productI will never come here again after I finish my current job unbelievable
Not happy at all for a number of reasons. Ordered online on a Wednesday for a Saturday delivery. Received confirmation of order. Then received a call late Friday afternoon saying they cant deliver on Saturday, will be bumped to the following Tuesday. Issue #1Ordered 35 bags of mulch to be delivered. Arrived home Tuesday to find 3 bags ripped open and spilled, including one in the grass next to the driveway, and a fourth bag completely bent in half and split and all the mulch spilled out. Issue #2Then I went and counted the bags. Only 34 were delivered. Short one bag. Issue 3.I called the location on the email receipt and was told they were not the ones that delivered and gave me a location they thought would handle the delivery. So I called there. Only to be told no they didnt complete the delivery and they gave me another location. In the end I called forf separate Ohio Mulch locations, none of them said they were the delivery location. Issue 4. By that time they had closedCalled back on Wednesday about 9:30-10:00am range to the location on online order receipt, told the receptionist I was not happy and I wanted to take to manger right away. Was told he was loading a truck but he would call right back. By 2:30pm had not heard back ( 4.5 -5 hours later). Issue 5I had to call back, demand I talk to someone, and only then did someone come on to try to help. Explained what happened, and they said they would get 5-6 new bags out that day AND clean up the spilled much from the prior delivery. They did deliver the additional bags but did not clean up driveway at all. Seemed silly to have them come back out again to sweep up 4-5 bags of mulch so I changed it up myself.First time I ever used Ohio Much. Not impressed at all. Had I only had 1-2 issues maybe Id chalk it up to just bad lick that time. But when it is 5-6 different issues stacked together, just didnt seem like a positive experience.
I have order mulch every year from this location, and this year I ordered five yards. And I get delivered like three. I called the store and the poor customer service I got was if you got it today I loaded it and it’s five. For me to lay five yards a mulch by myself in 1-1/2 hrs shows how I didn’t get five yards. I’m upset I paid $100.00 for delivery and to be right by the fire station and get cheated on mulch. Now I have to go to Kurtz brothers. I will never buy from Ohio mulch again. Don’t understand why you don’t get what you pay for.
Bought 70 bags of mulch from them and literally a week later after a hard rain, the black virtually washed out and now the mulch is grey. I went and talked with store manager which agreed that based off of packaging, I got last years bags which is probably why it faded. Unfortunately, he also said tough luck, there was nothing he could do. He scribbled down a phone number for corporate office and told me to try them. Ive lived in Pickerington for 20 years and have bought from this location maybe 10 times and at least 8 of the 10, there was some form of issue with either product or employees. Im done. Taking my business elsewhere.
First time getting Stone and Mulch from Ohio Mulch in Westerville and will definitely be using them next year.Great prices, friendly employees, excellent delivery service.
GO ELSEWHERE!!!Ive ordered from the Pickerington location in years past with no major problems. This year has been nothing but a problem and it is still not resolved. I stopped by the store to order two tons of 2 river rock to be delivered. In the ten minutes I was in the store waiting to helped, the manager stopped what he was doing to yell at two different employees and complained to somebody else on his cell phone about a driver that had quit. Finally, the store manager told me that their system was acting up and I should go home and place the order online. He was rude and provided no guidance about when deliveries could be made. He said to make notes in the order online and theyd do everything to meet the requests. So I went home and placed the order asking for the stone to be delivered one week later, as early as possible in the day, and dumped on the left side of the driveway.Saturday morning comes and I start trying to call when they open at 8:00 to see where we are on the list. I tried calling a half dozen times or so. Not a single call was answered by anyone. Instead the system told me to leave a voice mail. Except the voice mailbox was full and not accepting messages and disconnected. This is not acceptable customer service.Just after 10 am I drove over to the location to find out when my stone was being delivered. I again spoke to the manager who said he didnt have an order for me and wanted my order number. Despite having a computer sitting in front of him he didnt bother to try to find my order by name or address. He said he couldnt do anything without an order number. So I left and forwarded the email to my phone and returned with the order number and email confirmation. The manager claimed he didnt have any paperwork so he didnt have the order. He said the order went to the Canal Location and hed check on it and call me. We were interrupted in our 3-4 minute conversation where he had to yell at an employee about taking a lunch when other people were at lunch and how the employee had not done anything all day!At 4:10 PM I called to check as I certainly hadnt heard anything. Again I talked to the manager. He said he didnt have my paperwork so there wasnt anything he could do. He also said he didnt have two tons of river rock. He said that he had talked to his boss and they discussed this order and were trying to help me. He said hed have to check to see if another location had the rock and he personally would take care of this. When asked when I would get my delivery he said that he would personally take care of it and it would be no later than Sunday afternoon. Thats two full work days of when I can actually do anything with the stone AFTER THE SCHEDULED DELIVERY. Again he was rude. I told him it looked as though he had done nothing about my order all day if he hadnt even checked to see where the stone was. He wanted to know how he could have done nothing if he had my information in his phone but that he didnt have the paperwork so what did I want him to do.So here we are on MONDAY. No stone. No call.Terrible customer service. Un-kept promises. Rude employees. NEVER AGAIN.
Ohio Mulch has always given us good services with a great attitude!!
Always really good supply you have to physically know what you are looking for and know its location in the yard. The yard workers are lazy they want to so the least possible for the most money
Pissed off. I went to the Pickerington store. Asked for a specific mulch which the sales clerk checked and said they had. Paid cash and went to the yard to be informed they dont have my choice. The manager said to come into the store and see if an alternate would work. There wasnt anything I felt comfortable with so he said just go to the desk and they refund my money. I go through the exercise and was told I cant have the cash I just gave them, I had to have a gift card, store policy.. I could see this if I had bought and returned something, but I never left the place. So now I have a card for something they dont have. I will be advising the BBB and ATG on Monday.
Store closes at 5pm on Saturdays and I got that at 4:50pm and the store was closed.
Went to store for top soil, ended up getting 90% mulch and 10% top soil, ended up going to pataskala store and getting second load that was actually top soil and not mulch, very disappointed and ended up paying $5 more a cubic yard at this store and pataskala sold it for less and had the quality that actual top soil should be
Called around noon on a Friday and no one picked up. Their mailbox was full as well. Is this location open?
Purchased 60 bags of mulch and it was wrapped well and bags were dry.
