Its was very easy to reserve a truck and the availability was great. I was able to change the size of the truck at the last minute with no issues. Returned to truck before my scheduled time and less miles than anticipated and received a small refund. Would definitely recommend this place to family/friends

Called to report an abandoned Truck. BP4558 called at 5:45 and its 6:05 now . They left me on hold . Spoke to a Justin and he asked a guy name Brian his manager left me on hold twice for over 20 min each . This place service still sucks.What ever happened to good service and good being responsible workers. Im just shocked how Uhaul runs . All the good people are gone.What ever happened ?

Mobile pick up and drop off via app was nice and easy but the truck itself was dirty and the interior had a visible layer of dust and stunk of body odor.

Every thing was good. And a lot faster using the rental u-haul app. I would have liked that before they finished my paper work and had me signed off on my paper work that said the tank on my rental was full. Had actually been full.And not 3/4 full. Because Im pretty sure I used a lot less gas then I ended up putting back in to fill it up.Other than that

I had a great Experience. Robert T. Was amazing. When We came in he was dealing with some difficult customers that were in line before us, upset because the pick up location had changed. He handled it with grace and the customer was happy when they left. He got us into our Van. Fast and when we came to return the equipment, He got us checked in quickly. Very friendly with Amazing Customer service! This kid is a keeper and deserves a raise!

I rented a 15 truck for for 2 days for my move this weekend and purchased the extra insurance and 30miles of driving.The check-in process was as smooth as ever and Mrs Martin was extremely helpful and friendly.(give that woman a raise!!)We only ended up using the truck for one day and returned it the same day that we received it. I was a little concerned that I had just spent the money to rent for 2 days and used the truck for 10 hours and that I wouldnt get any of that money refunded.The truck drop off was easy too andbi was refunded for the days that I did not use.Customer service, 10/10Covid friendly, 10/10Cleanliness, 9/10 (is a rental ever really that clean🤔)Value for money,9 /10I would 100% recommend this location.

They lie and price gouge. Gauranteed me a unit at a sister location on 2nd street and after reserving the unit 48 hours in advance and renting a trailer i loaded my belongings to fill my reserved unit verified by verbal guarantee and a online guarantee to find out when arriving at the storage on 2nd street that that facility has been at full capacity for 2 WEEKS!!??? Then i was informed that the price advertised for a 10 x 10 in their office, online, and through my online reservation is incorrect and that the 10x10 unit would be around $200.00???? Even the brand new storage at i17 and mcdowell states and advertises a 10x10 unit for $109.95. the phx uhauls are gouging and commiting false advertising. Along with before i rented my trailer i called and asked erica if uhaul would except my direct express mastercard account or if i would have to pay a deposit? I was told by erica there would be NO DEPOSIT NECESSARY only to discover at the COUNTER that my mastercard account is considered a prepaid account and am required to pay $120.00 until i return the trailer. My directexpress card is directly linked to a bank account. It is NOT a prepaid card. So my $50 rental turned into a $120.00 surprise expense and then on top of that was called a lier regarding my inquiries on the trailer and the 10 x 10 unit that the employee guarateed me 72 hours prior. Stop lying and deceiving customers. Personally i want reimbursement for the unnecessary wasted time sitting in the 2nd street office waiting for the owner to find me a alternate unit only to be told there are NO UNITS AT THAT SIZE FOR THAT PRICE IN THE VALLEY????!!! A GUARANTEE IS A PROMISE FOR THAT UNIT BUT MEANWHILE ALL THE OTHER RESERVATIONS GOT TO KEEP THEIR UNIT WHILE I WAS TURNED AWAY.? ? HOW IS THAT FAIR OR JUST BUSINESS???? SO IN THE END AFTER RENTING THE TRAILER FROM 8 AM TO 425 PM I WAS ONLY ABLE TO COMPLETE 1 LOAD FOR STORAGE. I WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OFF JUST PUTTING THAT IN MY TANK AND USING MY JEEP TO MOVE MY BELONGINGS AND AS OF TODAY IM STILL WAITING ON MY REIMBURSEMENT ON MY DEPOSIT. ALTHOUGH I RETURNED THE TRAILER IN THE ALLOTTED TIME FRAME. DISGRACEFUL AND NEGLIGENCE. Do not give this location your business. It appeared that staff do not care about the treatment of customers and instead prioritize themselves. They threw me the keys and had me load the truck supplies and check myself out of the lot, all while eight staff sat around doing nothing in the bays. When I returned, they extorted gasoline and adamantly refused to look into the erroneous fuel readings. Learn from this past performance and save yourself future grief by choosing another provider or location.

Hands down the nicest people we met on our move from Seattle WA were when we dropped of our Uhaul. We arrived in town several days late after having to reroute due to wildfires. The staff here were super friendly and understanding. I was expecting a bit of a hassle awaiting me but couldnt have been more wrong. I will definitely come back when I need another rental.

Robert the hitch professional was able to find the last brake controller in the valley for my car, have it delivered across town, and installed the very same day! He saved my trip and I was able to get to my destination 1,200 miles away safely and on time.

Drop off and pickup of UBOXs was simple. For a cross country move I would take this approach again, as it seems to have been the most cost effective by a lot. I also found it fantastic that the drivers and fork lift operators to have my UBOXs delivered were both women, a job that I think most of the US often assumes to be a men’s job. Great step forward!!

Dont do business here -- they will rip you off! Did check-in/ out through the app due to Covid. Returned the vehicle with the same fuel level as when checked-out, but was charged $31.80 for fuel. The app asked me to take a picture of the fuel gauge when returned -- which I did. When asked, the manager, Neftali, refused to refund any money. They tried to claim that I used 6.75 gallon of fuel to drive a truck 22 miles in-town. That would be 3.25 miles per gallon!

Had an appointment booked in advance and paid in full for a hitch installation. Took time off work and showed up only to be told that my parts aren’t there. I asked if they call people to give them a heads up so they don’t show up and the rep made it seem like it was my fault for not calling in to check if they are able to do their job. I guess they don’t need the business.

Been here twice. They always had what i needed in stock and i was treated really well by staff. Couldnt ask for much more.

I called 3 times over the course of a week to confirm a new destination. Only to be told each time they had no record of my call. Even called them 30 min before hand and was confirmed only to get there and find out they had no record of me...ended up being charged $265 for this. I do not blame this specific u-haul. But uhaul as a whole. Apartently your supposed to do them a solid so they can still fk you. The representative I talked too on the phone confirmed. It doesnt matter if or when you call. You can technically drop your trailer off at any location without a heads up. And still be charged the same. They will tell you on the phone that you will be charged the difference Instead of double. Do not believe them. Some companies to not care about their customers bc often times its a one time transaction.Be careful with these people.

Employees are fantastic! Only issue I had was the return by using the app, the app for me had none of my information and finding the information to return the truck was a pain, what used to take 5 minutes took 45. The company is great but I think the app needs some work

The cabin was very dirty and clearly had not been cleaned, despite there being a pandemic. I luckily brought my own wipes, which were black after I used four of them to clean the door handles, steering wheel, seats, etc. The mobile pickup and drop off was pointless, because it made me go inside to talk to someone to get the key anyway, even though the whole point was to be contactless. The manager was not wearing a mask when helping us, despite being in Phoenix, which has a mask mandate. Very inconsiderate of the workers and an overall concerning experience. The truck itself was fine.

This location has turned me off to using Uhaul ever again and I will make sure that everyone knows the type or service they give to customers. I had a hitch reserved for installation for over a week. I dropped the car off and was told they didnt have the hitch in house and someone had to drive to Mesa to get it. I was consistently told that it would only be 2 hours. Then after 4 hours, I was told it would only be another 30 minutes. I dropped the vehicle off at 9am and didnt have it back until 430pm. During that time, several important meetings were missed because i thought it would only be a couple hours.And thats not even where it ends.After driving to a different location the following day to pick up my 4 × 8 trailer, we discovered that the wiring was wrong! Cut to driving across the city and telling them about the mistake and they had the audacity to try and say it wasnt a problem until my wife had them literally hook up another trailer to evidently see the issue. So were back, sitting in the lobby again, probably losing a whole day to this problem for the second time.If you do use Uhaul, never go to this location or you will get screwed.

Uhaul buys back unused boxes. So when the clerk asks you if you want a receipt it would be nice to know the you need your receipt to return the unused box later. Despite the fact that other stores have the ability to give you a refund off the card you used.

When my husband went to drop off our rental, he was using the app to do so. However, he accidentally locked the key in the vehicle. When he went inside to inquire as to a spare key, they shockingly didn’t have one because, as a female employee said, “it was a new unit” and that it would cost “hundreds of dollars” to get the key. We luckily had roadside assistance, and successfully retrieved the key. However, as he finished checking out using the app, the same employee kept harassing him and telling him he was doing it wrong and trying to tell him different instructions than the app. When he got in the lyft to come to our hotel, she even chased after him. Her behavior was incredibly unprofessional and awful.

I was over charged $156, at first it was said that any additional charges were waved due to the errors that were done on there part which was 3 seperate contracts without my knowledge, then it was because i had dropped off the truck at a different location, then i was given a different answer that it was because i didnt turn in the truck until 5 days after the intial retun date which was completely false im still disputing this claim i will never use them again.

No competition, this is the worst U-Haul in Phoenix. Always understaffed, always rude, and youre never quite sure if theyre going to be open or not when you get there, or if theyll have people in/around the place if theyre open. One would think that being just down the road from the world HQ that U-Haul would have their act together. This is a family owned business that just doesnt give a f***

Don’t come here!!! Ordered a truck, used the mobile ordering system. Since someone else with the same trunk request showed up a few minutes before me they gave my truck to him so I had to wait in line for half an hour to get a new track since they had to draw up a wholeNew contract. Mind you, I was on a very tight schedule to get everything moved out of my recently deceased mothers house. The kids and managers here don’t know what they are doing, they literally admitted to not even seeing my reservation online and messing up. Calling the GM tomorrow. Don’t go here.

I loved that this facility was across the street from my complex. It was also great to be able to order your items, online, and pick them up from the store. The employees have always been extremely helpful in helping me determine my needs, loading my van, and their quotes were not that far from what I actually paid.The biggest plus, that I recall, is that my auto insurance policy also covered their rentals. After giving them a copy of my insurance card, they never hassled me about buying their insurance or telling me that if anything happened, theyd want $10K upfront and not be bothered with my insurance?? I had another location tell me this, and I was astounded.

Would not go to this location again. Went in to rent a u-haul so that I could move my stuff from my apartment. The cashier which was also the owner acted like we were an inconvenience to her. She asked us what we needed the u-hual for and started shaking her head before I could explain.

DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY UNLESS YOU PERSONALLY DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. Rented a truck for 4 hours, but was listed for 2 hours 43 minutes on my receipt. I inquired about the fuel capacity of the vehicle, but recieved no answer from the clerk (the capacity was listed on my rental agreement). After using the rental for my time I returned it at 1/4 tank to recieve the fuel credit. The receipt listed my return as less than 1/8. My $80 rental ended up being over $170. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY UNLESS YOU PERSONALLY DOCUMENT EVERYTHING.

David Gilmore was done with his day before we walked in the door. He went out looked at our hitch and said nope sorry. We went to a different u-haul they looked at it and said you’re good to go. This man didn’t want to “deal” with us. He wanted to sell us an overpriced hitch. He was condescending and I hope he has a better day.

Cindy and Stanley were great the two of them went above and beyond to help me get my items off the truck and into my storage space last night..I greatly appreciate what they did for me thank you so much..this location has great customer service and they are fast and thorough. Cliff was also helpful by getting me the right truck for my move..

Alex was quick to check me in and was very helpful explaining stuff. Property was clean and over all my experience was very efficent. When returning my uhaul Alex was also there to greet me when I pulled up and I didnt have to wait, he was personable.

I highly do not recommend using U-Haul for your move. I moved from Wisconsin to Arizona summer of 2019. From the very beginning, she had trouble scanning my third you U-Box in on her computer. It was not until I arrived in Arizona that I learned that that third you U-Box ended up not even being in my name. And according to their records it was in North Dakota under someone else’s name and credit card. They did finally verify it was shipped with my other two boxes however. Then, during delivery, Two months after holding them, I was supposed to have them scheduled to deliver Monday. They never arrived in the window they said they would be delivered in, despite waiting for the entire 4 hour window outside. Then nobody knew where they were, because of course nobody ever contacted me about the delivery and So I was calling into the general U-Haul number every time and getting someone brand new to speak with. Turns out one U-Haul location in Arizona drove 10 miles down the road to drop them at another U-Haul location, because my address was outside of their delivery zone. Mind you, all these places are within 20 miles of each other. My U-Boxes had apparently been taken to the U-Box warehouse and been buried and could not be delivered until Wednesday. So I’m sitting for three days, out of state, with absolutely none of my personal items, sleeping on the floor with a blanket and pillow I picked up from Walmart. Find someone else to manage your move.

This isn’t a complaint on uhaul it is a complaint on there customer service over the phone. Took the long of waits and they don’t shut up. If I’m going to be waiting for a representative I don’t want to keep hearing the same thing while I’m waiting.

Very large selection of vehicles and supplies on hand. Make sure you get there early so you can check on availability of your truck. This will ensure you know what is available and there is no way of them to up sell more truck then you want.

Next time I move Im trying Penske. If you are moving out of state do not rent from this location. They do not service their vehicles. The truck had all working lights. We loaded up our truck and returned for car dolly, all of a sudden no working lights. The employee blew a fuse and in the process of replacing set off the antilock. U-hauls policy is Customer has to make the phone calls. Also their policy is to have you watch their movers move your belongings to another truck when this happens. Can you believe that? I said . No, you are going to pay for a hotel room and get a tech out here with the gadget which resets the vehicle. This is a $200 tool and they pay a third party to come out and do it for them rather than make an investment. We had to put transmission fluid in and our destination did not reimburse us. We filled a complaint with their assistant manager and he said U-haul has 72 hours to respond, Nothing. With company policy being employee oriented and not customer service, Im flabbergasted this company is still in business

They over charged me by almost 100.00 and withdrew funds from my credit card without authorization given for the particular charge. BE CAREFUL

Poor service was not treated like a customer or a human bean at all the guy that helped me out joked and lied and said they didnt do rentals then after i paid for the rental the lady that brought it to the front didnt even give me the keys so i was standing outside looking lost why she helped 4 more other customers then final i asked where my rental was and what happened to the guy that helped me and the manger was so rude she joked and said that he disappeared so basically saying i wasnt going to get any help would never suggested this uhaul place to anyone i would never spend anymore of my money with Uhaul after being treated so badly

I had made a reservation before going in and when I went to pick it up the GM could not find my reservation in the system, and once he finally did it was completely wrong. Furthermore, it took him three different tries to get the correct vehicle rented out to me.After I came back I found out that he never did any of those three agreements correct, but did manage to put 3 $80 holds on my account. They said that it would take 3-5 days for them to cancel out and he money to be returned. Since then only 2 of the holds have been released and they charged my card again for $23. Horrible experience and the fact that the general manger was the one messed all this up was very discouraging.In there defense the other employees were great, but getting charged over $250.

He was horribly rude and unwilling to accept any feedback/blame and refused to attempt to fix the issue. My question to him was How do you expect to make this location successful when youre not willing to provide an acceptable level of customer service? He didnt like that and hung up. I will continue to contact corporate and will never use this location again.

I returned my rented truck right at closing time on Friday night, which is a terrible thing to do, but all the employees I interacted with were super nice and friendly. They even gave me leeway on the gas tank not being filled the right amount. Definitely would come back to deal with these nice people.

Rented a uhaul from here... the guy was very short. Told us to basically go outside and find the key and truck ourselves. Was not offered to look at the truck with the associate before hand for previous damage like other uhaul places I have used. Poor customer service.

My first time here for propane, went inside asked the gentlemen in the front desk for propane he said someone will be right out, thirty minutes later a courteous lady came out, (this was after I called and said if someone was coming) She filled some guys tank that was there before me and then mine.. So that was my experince maybe one of those days when its busy, but in the mean time, I wont be back for service. Propane anyways!

I dropped off a trailer in January and thought they were great. I looked them up online to rent again and saw these reviews and felt I should respond. Renting from them again now.

Ive rented trucks about 5 times from this U-Haul on McDowell Rd. The employees have always been busy, always been courteous, and professional. Counting on them for my 6th rental!

Came here last year for a tow hitch on my Jeep. First trailer I hooked up the left blinker didnt work...assumed it was the trailer. Now I have another trailer with the same issue. Made an appt, waited 20 minutes in line to check in, because they only have one person working the desk on a Saturday morning...and he has to keep leaving to check out vehicles. Took my keys and 30 minutes later my Jeep is still in the parking lot. Severely under staffed for a weekend, and no communication whatsoever!
