I have moved many times with little to no problems with the moving companies. This is the first time I have used Mayflower & I will never use them again. The driver was very rude to me & his crew. They packed my boxes & furniture into the moving van so poorly that when it arrived at the other end many of the boxes were crushed and or splitting apart. I have moved 10 times and have only had one item broken from my packing & have never had damaged boxes. My stuff went into a mini storage garage so I do not know how badly damaged my things are yet. There was furniture that was not wrapped and wrapped furniture that had half the wrapping coming off when they took it out of the truck. Since they did not bring any wrapping material (I paid extra for that) that furniture went into storage unprotected. The driver was suppose to have 4 people help him move my stuff into the mini storage garage but he only brought one person. The driver had an injured knee and could not do much so basically that person moved all my stuff from the truck into the mini storage garage by himself. My furniture was dragged upside down & sideways & when I expressed my concern the driver said it wasnt hurting the furniture. They wanted to stack my furniture on its side & put boxes on top of it. They did not bring a ladder so they could only stack the boxes 6 ft high & they threw some of my furniture on top of the boxes. I expressed my concerns to the sales person who signed my job and filled out the survey they sent me but no one has bothered to contact me.
Steve, the driver, was amazing. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. Angie followed up all the time and was great. Everyone did what they said they would do. That means a lot to me. The process could not have been better. I will always use and recommend Mayflower. Thanks.
Horrible. They give you an estimate for when you receive your things, but it means nothing. My stuff was supposed to be to me at the latest tomorrow (Friday) and it hasn’t even LEFT the city we moved from yet. They just held on to it for the last five days. I was then told it would be to me this coming Monday, but that has already been changed to Tuesday. And who knows when it will really be to me. They are not empathetic at all. They just offered $100 for each day that it is late. The cost of the move was over $6000. Thanks for the 1% a day back for all the suffering you’ve caused me, and my 3 month old baby. I HOPE it’s actually here on Tuesday and you don’t change it again. That $100 doesn’t even cover a night at a hotel.
They started with the estimate which was simple and easy to do. That guy was awesome. Our moving guy was fantastic. Super friendly and helpful throughout the day. Made sure we were satisfied and answered questions we had. When we met him at the destination, he was on time again and friendly. We were putting our stuff in storage and he was able to get it into a smaller unit saving us money. Loved working with him and then Ruth checking in along the way. Rod our driver and his son and his crew in both places were amazing. Rod had a great attitude and never heard him complain about anything. Ruth kept in touch with us and answered questions we had along the way. She was straightforward with responses which I appreciated.Def recommend them for your moving needs.

On both ends of the move, we were extremely pleased with the way the movers treated our wares and us. I had one broken basket which I should have boxed. Otherwise everything arrived and was assembled wonderfully. A great group of guys on both ends. Thank you for making it an easy move. Both moving crews were great!!
We moved from out of state and had to use them for storage and they have been very very awesome to me Ray has been exceptional they have really worked with us 100% since the covid has hit us I just want to say I would use them over and over again I want to thank you so much for their understanding and cooperation
Been there a couple of times to drop off or pick up trailers. Very clean parking lot with lots of room and very friendly staff including the drivers and the staff in the dispatching office.
I called to get a quote for my cross country move of my home and 2 vehicles cause I heard good things about the company. Booked a 10am virtual survey to assess the contents of my home with Kathy and was told Keith Moore would be conducting the video survey. I then received a follow up email stating Keith could not call me at 10am and appt would be rescheduled to 1pm. Shortly before 1pm, I tried to log on to the survey but Keith was no show, no email follow up, no text, no call just a 100% no show. I called back a bit upset and asked Kathy why he never called, she said she didn’t know, she offered no apologies, no reason, Just proceeded to rescheduled me with Keith for the following day at 1pm. Once again, at promptly 1pm I was on the virtual survey login, but Keith was not, he never bothered no contact me through any means of communication. At that point I called both Kathy and Keith last week and left them both messages expressing my disappointment for a 2nd time. Neither Keith nor Kathy has extended the decent courtesy of an email or return phone call. In short, I would never hire anyone from Dircks, in fact I would not hire these 2 individuals to walk my dog! Unprofessional, unreliable and full of empty promises. Thank God I never hired them to move my possessions. Dircks gets an “F” rating in my book.
I cannot find the words to describe how grateful I am to every single member of the DIRCKS team for the AMAZING customer service provided from the initial phone call to the final box unloaded. My entire family was overwhelmed by the courtesy, communication, carefulness, professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail of every single person with whom we interacted: Kathy, Ruth, Mike, Shane and his TEAM (Dominic, James and Tony!). Everyone was kind and patient and paid attention to my 95 year old mother’s needs and wishes while at the same time getting the job done with extremely excellent customer service!!!!! After the many stories I have heard about disastrous moving van experiences….. I can say that NOT ONE THING could have been improved in the service we received during this LONG move from Phoenix to Cleveland. Dircks/Mayflower is a TOP NOTCH Moving Company….. and gets FIVE GOLD STARs from us!

From the very start this company was excellent in our moving experience! Mike helped with finding us used boxes and estimating the cost! The guys loading the furniture and boxes were careful, polite and fast. Angie the coordinator keep us informed of how this move was going and where and when delivering was going to be! When furniture arrived, another group of very nice guys unloading! Would recommend this company hands down!!

Multiple pieces of furniture showed up broken, cracked, or scuffed. The team that showed up was respectful and understanding, but seemed more interested in getting the job done quickly than taking care of our home. I have relocated cross-country 4 times and this was by far the worst experience.
Make sure your contract is in writing. Stipulaling everything you need done with ectact time frame dates ect..
All aspects of our move were handled seamlessly by Dircks. The packers, the driver, and the movers on both ends of the cross country move were great. Our items were treated with respect and all individuals who worked on our move were professional and personable. The contact person was in touch with us frequently to ensure all was going as planned. It couldnt have been better.
Dircks Mayflower managed our big move from AZ to PA with ease - they werent the cheapest, but their attention to detail during the estimate process and their dedication to taking care of all our stuff was what sold us on using them. And they didnt disappoint. Steve (our estimator), Ginger (our project manager) and Christian (our amazing driver) were all on hand as they started packing and loading the truck. The crew in PHX was truly amazing - Ive never seen a truck packed so carefully and with such precision!The team in PA worked in the rain and cold to load out. It was a bit bumpier, but everyone navigated our stairs and our basement to get everything under cover and inside as quickly as possible.Were almost completely unpacked now and Im thrilled to say that there was very little damage (thanks to that amazing precision truck loading, Im sure). Considering our stuff went over 2400 miles across the country, we couldnt be happier with our decision. Thanks to the team at Dircks! You can feel confident choosing them.
Called to get an estimate for a 2 part job to close out my mothers home. They did send a man out and I was told would have an estimate that day. 24 hrs later still nothing even after a text to the Moving Consultant 2 hrs ago. If I was too small or too much of a pain... just say so, I have wasted a day because I was waiting for their quote. Not very professional in my opinion.... UPDATE at 3:40 pm today I did get a call from the Moving Consultant who asked if I had received the quote, I advised no. This was the same person that I had texted at 9:00 am. He did send me the quote. With the move being for the upcoming Monday, I had already made arrangements with another mover and had to select a different day.THANK YOU to Dircks for following up.
Was completely LIED TO by salesman STEVE HOOK! Booked interstate move and promised a direct move. Didn’t happen. Picked up very valuable items off loaded at their ware house and will be loaded on other truck. Don’t trust them!

Move was made as easy as possible. I’ve moved across the country three times using Mayflower the last two times. They communicate very well, answer any questions and are very friendly. Dennis and Frank were excellent movers. Very friendly and professional. Ginger was also very helpful in coordinating everything and staying in touch with us during the entire process.
We needed to move several items (mostly family heirlooms and a very heavy coffee table) from New York to Oregon. We had used Dircks in Arizona for a household move ten years earlier and had been very pleased. We called them for advice. They suggested some potentially cheaper options than Mayflower, but because of our confidence in the quality of their work, we decided to have them arrange our move. We are glad we did. The friendly staff did the packing, loading and unloading efficiently, and everything was delivered in excellent shape. No complaints.

I just moved with Dircks. Mike and Sean in the office were so far above normal. They were really really good at this. They answered all of my questions and then probalbly did it again. They made this process so simple, easy and less stressful that I ever could have imagined. Our 4 man crew was awesome. They were cool to my kids, talked to them while they worked and even told a few jokes. I am thankful they were helping our family move for sure.If I ever move again. The first call is to these guys. Maybe even the last as their online system even forwards you mail, and utilities. Really well done for sure

They loaded my contents from storage without me even present & delivered them 2500 miles away ON TIME. The driver Mark took the extra time & care to pack my contents properly that OTHER movers had left me hanging with. Even though it was NOT his job, he cared enough to transport them properly. His preparation for delivery was top notch & resulted in a seamless smooth delivery. If youve ever had bad movers, it will make you appreciate this company even more.

From Steve Hooks visit to assess the charges, and logistics, to the packing and pickup, to the delivery over 2,000 miles away (on time), all looked after and communicated to me by Marcy at every stage of the transfer, I can only say that Dircks is unquestionably the best I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing.
From beginning to end they were so professional and efficient. Not only did they give me the best price (by far!), but they did not try to push themselves on me at the estimate appointment. They moved our stuff from Arizona to Michigan and also arranged for transportation of our two cars - also at the best price by far! They were excellent on both ends and in communication with the office.

Dircks is a horrible moving company! We have moved many times within the states and twice overseas (Germany and Korea) and without doubt we can say this is the worst move thanks to the terrible job done by the packing and moving crew from Dircks! From the beginning I was very concerned the way they kept packing/not packing, but they kept telling me it was going to be “fixed” later. After expressing our concern to Mayflower, we were told Dirks was going to take pictures of final packing at the warehouse before transferring our household goods to the final container. We kept asking for Picts and that didn’t happen!The first day a crew of 5 came to pack our two bedroom (1100sf) apartment. It took them 3-4hrs before they left and said another crew was coming the next day to pack the TV, beds, crib and sofa...etc The next day a different group of 5 came and complained about the packing/boxing job the crew from the day before had done. This second group was probably worst! They didn’t take the crib apart and didn’t even bother to cover our king size bed!!!!! The crib arrived broken and our king size mattress was super filthy! The second bed was partially covered and so were all of our dressers which also arrived damaged! Our TV also arrived broken along with picture frames and lots of decorative pieces which were very sentimental to us from the different places we have lived! Our nice furniture with glass windows was not marked “fragile.” The moving crew in Hawaii were in shock how it was not marked and how lucky we were that it didn’t break. They also in shocked how poorly everything had been packed. Large toys were packed somehow in our nice furniture. Instead of making a box with all the screws for the beds they put the parts in different random boxes packed with random things (kitchen ware, toys...etc). The second crew also took 3 1/2 hrs to move everything from Our house to the truck. They were supposed to bring the container to our house to pack it directly and SEAL it! This is how isIt has always been done for us with other companies in the past. Instead they brought a truck (to our super wide road) loaded everything half packed to the truck and took it to a warehouse for a different crew to finish packing and transfer it to the final container. What makes me angry the most is were very nice and generous to both crews. We tipped all 10 crew members from both days really well! Very disappointed with this company!

Great coordination, on time arrival and delivery. Great customer service. The people that came home to pack were very professional, eager to complete the task and very careful with valuable items. Used them 4 times and never disappoint.
From the first phone call to the last drop off, the entire process was simple. Someone came to the house a week or so before the move and did a walk through to figure out what needed moved and how big of a truck and crew was needed. The day of the move the crew came in and confirmed what needed to be moved. The crew was excellent and polite. They brang plenty of blankets and tape and protective packing materials. They have you inspect everything before and after the move and the inside of the truck to make sure you are 100% satisfied. I was nervous to use a moving company because of all the negative feedback I have heard from people, but the experience was great. I would use Dircks again.

Ive used discount movers in the past - and it has always been a hassle. Hidden fees, slow, sketchy movers (they charge by the hour), and - always! - a missing carton or two. Mayflower (I see that Dirks is part of their system) is wonderful. PROFESSIONAL MOVERS! In such a stressful time, these guys were worth the price AND THEN SOME!!! I have nothing but good things to say about them.

We appreciated the hand holding and support during a time that is typically stressful. Moving to another state - they did all of the work prior to the move - partnering with another company in Colorado and then getting us settled in Arizona. Everyone was friendly, caring and respectful. We experienced two small things - the front end communication (prior to confirming our move date) was slightly spotty but once I shared my frustrations they communication was outstanding - especially during the move itself! The other part was the lack of environmental accountability from the packers. We found a hat wrapped up in its own huge box, 4 foam ear plugs in wrapping paper, and my personal favorite - a used, empty ziplock baggy which was carefully wrapped up. Overall, I would use them again and felt comfortable with the process as a whole. They cared for us during our move.
I have used this company before and had great service. But this time my wifes engagement ring came up missing, found the open box that was removed from her purse on the kitchen counter. Dirks denies it. Two of the closets they were supposed to have packed were not touched. Furniture was not completely reassembled, was handed a bag of extra parts and told they didnt know what they went too. And to top things off when I called about the ring they said call the police, i did, and one of the crew was arrested and put in handcuffs in the front yard of my new house. I would stay as far away as you can from this company. They take no accountability or responsibility for their employees. I also paid for the time the police were interviewing and arresting their employee.
I love this company!!! I have had to move 4 times in the last 7 years. I used Dirks twice, I moved myself once (UUHGGG, horrible idea), I used a different company once....never again. They were horrible...broke stuff, got there 15 hours late just horrible. The good thing is both my experiences with dirks have been excellent!!!! I cant say enough about how good Allen and Manny were. Worked so hard I felt sorry for them...I was moving most of my stuff from a storage unit after 2 years and it was a major dust collection...they were fantastic. All I remember from my last move was that they were very professional and good at their job. But when I did this move and they were so helpful I was sooo grateful. Buying my house has been stressful and they allowed me the opportunity to not have to worry about my move. Thanks guys you deserve every one of the five stars Keep up the good work

Terrible moving experience. Our items were organized in 1 tractor trailer and were apparently dumped at their warehouse, spread across 3 different trucks, different contract carriers, and an entire shipment has gone missing. Couple of important items to note, stated it was a secure / controlled warehouse, goods are tracked along with trucks, and yet have not been able to discover our missing items. Would not trust with your household items. Very lax security and apparent vetting of folks. Ive done lots of military moves and commercial moves with this being a first. The sales pitch and initial discussion is what swayed us to use them but we have learned a hard lesson.

Great company for residential and commercial moving professionals. They also have short to long term storage onsite.
Worked here for 8 years. The money was nice but I hated it.
They contacted us at 3 pm the Friday before our Monday morning move of 2200 miles to let us know a driver was not available even after confirming 3 times during the week that the move was a go. They purposely waited so we could not contact a back up company as everything was closed including Mayflower Corporate. They offered to put all of our belongings (3500 sq. ft. home) on a loading dock within their warehouse until a driver was found. After reading reviews of similar horror stories such as ours we begged for them to store our belongings in a locked unit or pod. It was the LEAST they could do. They refused. They WOULD NOT guarantee that our belongings wouldn’t be stolen, lost or damaged in their vast warehouse or truck transfers. They offered no sincere apology, discount, solution or compromise. This was a 10k move! Just a take it or leave it. Never did we agree to put everything we owned in a warehouse without individual locked units and this was never part of our agreement. Who in their right mind wants all of their costly possessions out in the open for the taking? It’s too much temptation and unorganized with hundreds of transactions a week. Imagine how many people do not know that their belongings were shuffled or stored in this manner?! They also don’t tell you that multiple homes may be loaded onto the same truck! Bedbugs? Roaches? Scorpions? No thanks. We had to rent a U-Haul (God bless them for their hard work last minute) and do it all ourselves in less than 2 days due to Mayflower’s incompetence. We lost many of our belongings because the largest U-Haul was not large enough to accommodate such a large home. Large furniture and appliances had to be given away. We even changed our move out date because their sales person told us it would help them with a more flawless move. This treatment is unacceptable at all levels. It was supposed to be a straight 2200 miles on 1 truck with 2 drivers in 6 days or less. Not loading and unloading onto multiple trucks and warehouses. Backing someone into a corner like they did without recourse is criminal. They lost a corporate account due to their unethical behavior. Take note with this company and Mayflower overall. They employ shady business practices that hurt our family immensely. Moving is stressful enough without this awful treatment. Get your one way direct move in writing with recourse on your part when they fail. They do not suffer when they cannot hold up their end but you will! Upon reviewing your response, I can assure you with 100% accuracy that every point in my review is accurate. You openly store belongings. They are not put into pods or individual units. Open warehouse. Despite cameras, there is no protection. Cameras fail and thieves can be experts at manipulating them. We moved our move out date to accommodate you! So blame the salesperson for your high volume. That is not an excuse. It would have been a week to 10 days earlier but he convinced us that it would be easier on the date HE chose. This was not a lack of understanding on our part. Your company would not guarantee anything. We were told that yes there are cameras, but we cannot guarantee your stuff will not be damaged or stolen. We cannot guarantee the delivery date anymore. So you can change the rules last minute? People depend on pinpoint accuracy when moving such as moving in paperwork, utilities, a bed to sleep on, etc. Lying to us all week about it being a “go” is disheartening. If you couldn’t find a driver at least you could have given us notice on a week day more than 2 days before our move. Be honest. That’s all.

If I had to move locally or cross country I would hesitate to use Dircks. They are the best household relocation company hands down period.
We have moved many times in our life and the one with Dircks was the worst and we would not recommend them ever to anyone. Communication was bad and they were not organized. Packer were not scheduled as we were told they would be and we had to pay the driver for packing material.

Our overall experience with Dircks was EXCELLENT! We have moved several times and this move was the best. We moved from Cave Creek, AZ to TN. From start to finish, the Dircks team was professional, knowledgeable and went the extra mile to help meet all our needs and requests. The most impressive thing to us throughout the whole process was Dircks cared. We experienced a death in our family during this already stressful time. Dircks worked with us to adjust whenever possible. Steve, our consultant, started our process with excellent advice and suggestions to help keep us out of storage under some almost impossible time frames and scheduling challenges. Steve stayed involved and even came by on packing and loading days to check in with us in person. We liked the binding quote [a will not exceed quote] which helped us plan and budget. Steves quote came in almost exactly as quoted [within $7.00!]. Our move coordinator Cammie was very proactive and checked in with us often. She also came up with suggestions and solutions that made the move a smooth process. Our packers, Flora and Betty were excellent. We had ZERO damage due to packing. Henry, our driver, and the crews in AZ and TN were great, very professional, courteous and easy to work with. Jim, the driver who delivered our autos was pleasant, professional, checked in with us along the way and delivered on time. Dircks made the impossible for many ... POSSIBLE! We strongly recommend Dircks and would definitely use them again.
