I recently went to The Stone Yard to pick out some boulders for a front landscape project i am doing at my house and had an excellent experience. Candy was very helpful and made the process easy. The day of delivery they were early ( which never happens these days ) and they were very accommodating with my want to try try the boulders in different positions ect. I would highly recommend The Stone Yard.

I cant recommend the stone yard enough. Good prices and the delivery driver went above and beyond to get his truck through our RV gate and save us a ton of work.

The customer service could use some work. I was told I wouldn’t know the final price until they weighed the vehicle. Even though I was asking for specific amounts. Then they tell me since I was ordering two different things (rock, and fill dirt) I had to pay two delivery charges because they couldn’t mix and needed to make two trips. Sounds reasonable until they delivered it and it was all on one truck but still charged me two delivery charges. When I asked about it, I was told: “that’s just the way they do it.” When I called to find out what time it was getting delivered I was told they were figuring out the times and would call me back in a couple of minutes. I never got a callback and decided to call back. When she answered, she seemed annoyed and mentioned she forgot to call me back. Overall, the price was decent, but due to the lack of customer service, I wouldn’t return.

I cant say enough good things about The Stone Yard....let alone the enjoyment of dealing with good, honest people. Family owned and operated doesnt always translate into professionalism and capability in todays world. Not so here. Candy, the owner, knows the business via her years in the trade. I went there for Landscape boulders, dirt, and decorative rock. Priced reasonably, good selection, happy to assist with the process, made the first part of my project great. The follow-up was on target, arranging a delivery time and necessary additional equipment (they hired a crane for me) was exactly as promised. Brian delivered the hardscape and went way beyond the norm by prepping for placement, being patient with how the boulders should be placed, etc. It was truly an unexpected transaction for the good! We came across this local family owned business during a landscaping project we just completed. Local first, family owned, knowledgeable, customer service oriented, great pricing, great selection! Candy and her daughter have it ALL at The Stone Yard Phoenix! We were able to walk the yard, search the verity of gravel and boulders available. The process was interesting tagging the boulders for delivery but we figured it out pretty quickly.Bryan her son who is the owner of Spangler Trucking showed up on delivery day within boulders and a crane and got to business. He’s a polite, knowledgeable, and hard working guy. He was hands on, helping land and adjust the boulders with patience. He was able to help us identify the quantity of gravel needed to complete our job and was onsite early the next day for delivery! We had the gravel delivered the day after boulders and he even came back the following day for another drop as requested with an additional 4tons we requested to beef up the job!If you are looking for quality, family run, customer service oriented experience for your next landscape project we recommend The Stone Yard and Spangler Trucking they have been around a long time and know how to take CL care of business!
