I think the ice cream here is very solid. Some of the flavors are very unique. I went with the maple bacon and it wasn’t too sweet but it had a little too MUCH bacon for my taste which might be odd. Also it’s not very fresh, the batches seem to have been inside for awhile, there are ice crystal layers on some of the flavors and inside of my scoop. I like the aesthetic of the takeout container

The atmosphere is cute, and I personally enjoyed 2/3 flavors of Ice cream I got (Viet coffee and chocolate were good, but y’all need to work on your vanilla bean). My boyfriend did not think his ice cream was all that. Also, the guy at the counter didn’t give us our fortune cookies which was a bummer, and also wasn’t welcoming at all - although he went above and beyond for the women in front of us.

We hadn’t been to Melt since years ago at their old location. We stopped by this week and were disappointed that they didn’t have too many fun or unique flavors like they used to. However, the setting was fun and the ice cream still tasty.

Sorry Melt! I dont usually like to leave negative reviews, I really was hoping to be wowed- and for the price- I should have been! It was just under $20 for 2 large ice creams!!! I got 3 different scoops: mango sorbet, banana nut & vegan chocolate. The mango sorbet was the best out of all 3 and even that one had very little flavor- it tasted a little like an unripe mango. My daughter said the chocolate burned her mouth and when I tasted it I knew why- they loaded it with cinnamon!!! It wasnt called Mexican hot chocolate- just vegan chocolate. Neither of us finished them- dumped them & left. On a positive note, if youre looking for a crafty draft beer or a hip social spot this place is it- it was hopping on a Monday night!

Melt was once an extremely good ice cream parlor where you could find unique flavors and great tasting ice cream. Unfortunately when they moved locations they also changed their ice cream. You wont find a large selection of ice cream anymore and the quality is on par or less than Dreyers. This combined with premium prices makes for a poor experience.

Everyone knows the old melt, with their old location. This new location is okay, but the ice-cream and the way they promote “melt ice-cream” is a disappointment. Not the old one I remember & their ice cream is not the same in taste. It tastes as if they carton buy their ice cream from Walmart and lay it out to resell for a couple bucks more. Really sad it’s not the old melt because I’m not coming back.

Long review warningIt was hard to find definitely not where the map suggests that it is. It’s inside the Jobot coffee shop at least on late nights. They serve all their ice cream in Chinese/Asian Togo containers. Looks quirky and unique and they also included a fortune cookie. The mangonada was pretty good. The young lady behind the counter didn’t ask which size I wanted and just started the fill the container with chamoy and mango ice cream. Like 9 bucks for it worth it once to try but not get again. The negative part of this review is what my girlfriend got. She got the Vienna coffee ice cream but affogato style which is coffee/espresso poured on ice cream. So you’d think serving hot coffee over ice cream would be something you’d serve in a container that is meant to hold liquid or something hot.Nope. They put a little scoop of ice cream in a little paper Togo container then put in under the espresso machine and poured hot coffee in it. They gave it to her with no napkin or sleeve and within a minute it was leaking everywhere including her hands. And to top it off being served idiotically they still including a fortune cookie in the liquid ice cream/coffee mixture so it just become soggy and made the fortune unreadable. Also it was like 6 dollars to realize you made the poor choice to get your ice cream there.God forbid the ice cream shop INSIDE a coffee shop would serve their hot coffee and ice cream combo in an actual coffee cups. They sacrificed common sense to be quirky/unique and did it for the gram. This definitely falls into /r/WeWantPlates material
