I came into Cave Creek Guns for the first time today and I was blown away by my experience. I called ahead and was welcomed to come right in. They took a look at my weapon, assessed, and had it fixed perfectly in less than an hour. They have some of the best selection of AR’s, pistols, CCW Training programs, and I’ve never met a friendlier and more knowledgeable group of gents in one room! Have been looking for a reliable gunsmith in Scottsdale for some time after struggling with shops across the valley. Glad Google pointed me to Cave Creek Guns because they had my silencer installed while I waited, gave me the instruction I needed; I walked out with a much quieter 300 blkout and surprisingly, a little bit smarter. These guys know their stuff. Great work and experience.

Didnt have the gun I was looking for, but offered to inform me when one came in. They were utterly, utterly friendly and helpful so I returned for more info on their own brand from George and ended up purchasing one of their guns and some accessories -- which other stores Id been to either did not have or were over priced.(Make sure you check out the Trump AR while there. It made us laugh.)If you do stop by try to be their when the dogs Pepperoni and Sausage are there too. Even more friendly than the staff, God lovem. Absolutely cute as buttons. :)

Cave Creek Guns provided one of the best experiences in service that I have ever encountered in a gun shop. I ordered a custom rifle from George. We went over in detail on exactly what I wanted. The rifle was completed much faster than expected. The precision of manufacturing is beyond excellent. Incredibly accurate. Feels quite solid. Reasonably priced. I wish that I could give Cave Creek Guns more than just 5 stars.

I have taken several of my firearms to the gun smith at this shop. Im always impressed with the high quality work, short turn around times, and pricing. They are worth the drive. I am happy with the quality of the cerakote they did on my Ruger 556, and they were eager to do my muzzle brake on my precision rifle. This is my gun smith of choice here in the valley.

I started a small project of replacing some parts on my AR over the weekend. Turns out I bit off a a little more than I could chew and did nothing but scratch the hell out of my buffer tube.My brother-in-law (also ex-military) recommended these guys. He said they’re super nice guys, ex-military, and they know their stuff.Well, he did not steer me wrong.They’re really nice guys. They acknowledge you when you walk in.Incredibly knowledgeable. On some one elses suggestion I went in this shop and inquired about a binary trigger. The gut who opens up on Tuesday morn., suggested the Fostech binary trigger was better then the Frankiln Armory, and that upon buying trigger he would help install it. He seemed knowledgeable so I purchased the Fostech Echo sport trigger. Went back and he installed it for me. Me not knowing that a bolt carrier had to be purchased too, I was upgraded to one for exchange of my brand new one. Cool I pay the man here tells me that if I have any problems bring it back and here will fix it. I leave to try my new trigger. Long story short, IT DIDNT WORK RIGHT, so I take it back like he said and I leave it on Tuesday pick it up on Friday and he shoves gun at me and tells me its in the trigger take it to Fostech he cant fix it. So I thought he would of at least said I can figure it out just leave it a little longer. Plus the bag I dropped off now had a decent sized slash(like a some one opening a box with a razor on top of my bag. ) Turns out the big problem was here installed the hammer spring backwards. thanks YouTube and Fostech I (not a gunsmith ) was able to figure it out on my own. They said they would replace the bag and im still waiting ......UPDATE ON THE BAG, I had to go in and remind them but they hooked me up with another bag ..

Cave Creek Guns is an excellent business!! I brought in with my old Winchester 67A that had a bent front sight to see if the could fix it. The guy there said he could fix it up by the next morning. I came in the next day and the front sight was as good as new. He gave it back and said there was no charge and to just to come back when I need anything in the way of Guns and Ammo. These guys are all about service and repeat business. I highly recommend them if you need gunsmithing or if you want to purchase a firearm or amo. These guys are fair, knowledgeable and friendly!

I am extremely impressed with the staff and their knowledge pertaining to anything from Modern Firearms,Ammunition to Very Old & Rare firearm’s and weaponry. The staff is very humble and always helpful with any questions, even if they don’t carry an item that you were looking for they usually have a fairly good input on what that item is and they are able to get it ordered in to their store for you quickly. Another thing I like is the staff hands on approach to helping you with Gun related issues/questions and if you are having an issue with a weapon I can almost guarantee you that they have a very educated answer or solution. So if you’re looking for the most modern firearms or even an old wheel gun or if you’re in the market for ammunition or the most recent top-of-the-line optics and scopes I recommend Cave Creek Guns! Went in for a simple barrel nut removal that I didn’t have the tools to remove myself, went in 2 minutes later I’m out the door with a removed bolt. My custom .50 Beowulf AR pistol was having feeding issues, and George at Cave Creek guns fixed the problem. I purchased an apex trigger from him while he serviced my pistol, and he installed it for free.The staff is very friendly and quite knowledgeable. There may be some great gunsmiths who are located closer to where I live, but the quality and integrity of the staff at Cave creek guns make it worth the longer drive.

I have gone to Cave Creek Guns now several times. The customer service is hands-down the best Ive had. The staff are really helpful and extremely knowledgeable. Purchased a rifle which they spent easily 30 minutes showing me how to break it down, clean it and put it back together. Ive used them as an FFL. Theyve just been a great shop.

I found CCV while just driving around and figured Id pop in and check out this store. that have just about everything you would need. They even do work with firearms at a reasonable rate and turn around. 10/10 recommend it.

These guys are great. Even with high demand with the epidemic, they were helpful and were able to get me all set up. While waiting for the background these guys were able to get my new rifle set up for me. Highly recommend these guys.

Had some mod work done on an AR 15. Included muzzle threading and a brake from a local manufacturer. Work took a little while but when it was done, it was done well! The brake is very effective and the staff is the best. They know something about their craft.

Very disappointed, brought my model 97 shotgun in to be cleaned and to confirm it was safe to shoot. The gun had not been used in over 50 years so I had my concerns. When I brought the gun home I did a quick once over, this is what I found… There was a black grit inside the entire barrel and receiver. So apparently the gun was never cleaned. At this point I had to conclude that if it wasnt cleaned then it probably was not inspected. Come to find the barrel was loose from the receiver so it also was not inspected. The adjustment ring to tighten the fit was rusted I had to soak it overnight to eventually get it to turn. I recommend you taking your guns elsewhere for any of your gunsmith needs.The owner responded to the attached post with false statements and omissions. He stated that I was charged $25 for a cleaning, I actually paid $40. The price seemed a little high but I thought, well you get what you pay for, in this case, apparently not. The inspection part he totally omitted, sending gun out with a loose barrel.

These guys are awesome! They took my firearm in on short notice and put on my new iron sites abs Holosun 507c reflex and set them up to co-witness. Was also able to purchase an order of some hard to find ammo that I really like.

Tremendous experience with these guys! I took in several pistols for routine cleaning and a couple misfeed issues. George quickly identified a machining problem with the ramps and fixed them to perfection. He also inspected all the guns for wear as I explained they all had several hundreds of rounds through them and assured there were no other problems. My first visit here but Im now a customer for life!

Store was dingy, poorly lit, and unkempt. Sales personnel was surly and made no attempt to welcome or even acknowledge customers that came through the door unless there seemed to be a preexisting relationship. Overall vibe of the store was unwelcoming, especially if you didnt immediately know what you wanted.

Hands down the hest place to purchase a firearm. George and Jeff were very knowledgeable and helped put my mind at ease when I was trying to find a home defense weapon. Cave Creek Guns just got a permanent customer today. Very knowledgeable. I took my AR-15 in to get repaired because it was jamming and they fixed it. Due to their workload it took longer than expected to get back to me so there was no charge for the labor, which is appreciated in times like these. Its things like this that will gain my permanent business so I will continue to shop there and support them.

These guys are great. While waiting on my Form 1, a called a lot of shops, a KelTec is not an easy weapon to SBR and gunsmiths let you know it. Most other shops wanted about half the total cost of the weapon to cut and re-thread the barrel and 2 weeks to 2 months! These guys did it in 5 days and charged me a reasonable price. Very friendly too!

My job takes me all over the valley I happened to see their sign one day about 5 months ago so I stopped in to check it out. 5 months later I stop in there every time Im in the neighborhood, If like to say just to say hello but I leave with a new gun every time. The 2 owners are very knowledgeable, quiet until you get to know them they never push anything at you. Old school feel which is why I have gone back over and over and will continue to do so, sometimes it actually is just to say hi and the owners are absolutely fine with that. These days that is something that is missed and appreciated for a guy like me. I drive by 4 or 5 gun stores that are closer to my place to go to this store, that should tell you something about this place and the 2 owners. Highly recommended to stop in and see for yourself.

I located this shop originally because they were the closest to my house with affordable FFL transfer fees. Upon having my first gun shipped there I spent some time looking at their selection of used firearms which were priced right and they had a few Glock models that Ive wanted to acquire one day. The thing or things that caught my eye the most was the BTE built guns. I believe its the acronym for battle tested equipment but someone can correct me if need be. George was the individual that helped me out, extremely knowledgeable in all things guns but nice enough to break things down so the average Joe can understand. Ive purchased several firearms from them over the last 14 months, ammo as well and I will continually choose this place over any larger retail location or local shop.
