First problem is that the arm bolts came out less than 6 months from when the house was built! Second problem was when they called and discussed with me when to come fix it. I said afternoon, they agreed, I asked for a text ahead of time. Then at 10:45am someone shows up unannounced to fix it. When I told him it wasn’t a good time or what I set up with them he pushed to do it anyway because it would only take a few minutes. I told him a second time no and he pushed again. This is not ok and I’ll never recommend them

1 star for customer service from Jasmine. Appointment scheduled for Monday; they never showed. Called and spoke with Jasmine, who insisted they showed up Friday and fixed our garage door. Despite us telling her they did not come Friday, she kept insisting they did, and was a bit sassy about it. She wasnt interested in our work order, or anything we had to say. She finally agreed to look into it, called us back, and said someone had inadvertently closed out our work order, and scheduled a crew to come Tuesday, between 1:30-2:30. At 3:45 Tuesday we called to ask when the crew was coming, and with quite a bit of sass, Jasmine said, I told you theyre coming between 2:30 and 4:30. Right now its only 3:45 so they have 45 more minutes left. I dont understand the sass, especially when it was their mistake.

I installed my garage door last year and at the time of install they told me to call them for any issues. It start making lot of sound while open and close in like 7 months. Initially I thought it’s just a temporary problem May be due to weather change but it’s still making lot of noice so I called customer service. Now they are telling me that my one year done in July and door should be service in every three to six months. Service call will cost $105. They are also saying that noice is not coming in warranty. Worst ever experience. My friends installed garage door from other vendors and they are running fine from like 5 years. Now I am feeling I made a huge mistake.

Elderly Dads caregiver called Lodi because it says 24/7. False. They only work 12 hours. The cheapest thin metal door was installed 6 months ago. They dont care if youre elderly or disabled as I am. They refuse to do an emergency call because the door buckled. Emergency is only for broken spring and off track. So healthy people are ahead of us. Wheelchair can enter garage but cant get out front door by myself. Cant work door manually. Its been 3 months since I wrote this. Still not fixed!

Brand new home build (Richmond American) and my garage door was installed horribly. It would shake violently when opening. Did they install the door and not even bother to test it? Not even in the home for a full week and the garage door just stops opening. Called on Saturday and they sent someone out right away. The service tech was nice and he determined my brand new garage door opener (less than 1 week old) was already fried. He didnt have the parts or new unit on the truck to fix it but said someone would call Monday 3/22. Received the call Monday and was told they were scheduling for April 15th. Thats almost a month out! They proceeded to tell me they could squeeze me in on Monday 3/29. Today on 3/26 they call and tell me they just used the last part I needed for my garage door and they didnt have anymore in stock and would need to order the part. They told me it would be another full week at least but they didnt have a delivery date yet so cant promise anything. Absolutely unacceptable for a brand new home build!! Ive opened my garage less than 10 times! Ive been without a garage door opener now for longer than Ive been in the house. Not to mention the unit they installed is garbage (Genie 2028). Ive seen larger garage openers on 1 car garage doors. Probably why my garage was shaking and fried the motor. We were charged upwards of $500 for a garage door system thats sold in stores for $129. Oh and we arent the only ones in the neighborhood having issues with Lodi garage door installations.

Just moved into a new home. Noticed the garage door was damaged. Last final inspection/Walk through prior to moving in it was noted. Lodi Garage Doors is contracted with the builder through Meritage Homes.I have zero knowledge about garage doors, how to install them, repair, let alone accurately identifying the formal name of each part.I called Lodi Garage Doors and the female representative seemed annoyed because I struggled describing where the damage was and on what part. I simply stated that “it’s damaged and I can see sunlight through where the garage door is bent”. Again, I have zero knowledge about garage doors.Instead of ensuring the issue would be fixed or having quality customer service. She seemed annoyed that I called (Sorry I was making you do your job?).It gets betterThe representative that came to my house. Completely unprofessional and poor customer service. The way he talked to me and the way he handled the situation was poor. He treated me like a burden (Again, zero knowledge about garage doors). He said he would contact the builders, get paperwork for the house, and call me back. It’s been 2 months.Haven’t heard anything from Lodi since.Avoid this business.

Nicholas from Lodi Garage Door came out the other day to service a noisy garage door. My biggest concern was that the door was safe and that the noisy door wasn’t a sign something was going to happen, like coming off track. Nicholas was very helpful and checked numerous places as well as assuring me that the door was safe by showing me safety mechanisms. He ended up lubing the door and it’s tracks and changed out rollers that seemed to be the biggest source of noise. He also inspected the motor and tightened the chain, while giving me some pointers on how to maintenance the door routinely. On top of the prompt and professional service Nicholas was just a nice guy and I enjoyed his company as he worked. We called Lodi because they were who installed the garage door when the house was built, but now I feel we have a trusted company to use when we need further assistance.

After much work attempting to diagnose and repair our Liftmaster garage door opener and several weeks dealing with an immobile garage door, I finally just struck hands with Jeremy F. 😎 of Lodi Garage Doors and More! 👌It was pouring rain outside when he arrived at our home, courteous, professional, zealous and optimistic. He went right to work as if he didnt even notice the constant, cold precipitation he had to brave as he went back and forth between the garage and his work truck, quickly, confidently and professionally making relatively short work of the machine that had all but ended us, physically and mentally. Before long, we heard the almost foreign sound of a fully functional Liftmaster yet again and Jeremy walked us through the steps of reprogramming both the remotes and wireless keypad to the new setup.Though he made no thinly veiled request for us to give him All 10s on some forthcoming survey that it was vital he received perfect marks on, nor did he try to rush off to the next job, leaving us with mixed emotions about his efficiency. Rather, he worked and seemed much more focused on our time and whether or not we were in a hurry.I asked him if there was some survey I needed to look out for--as is so common in the service industry these days--but he said no. I was almost dismayed, because I was looking forward to showing my gratitude with perfect marks. I pried a bit further, looking for almost anyway I could show the company and any other potential customers my gratitude and satisfaction would certainly be understating.Thank you so much Lodi for keeping techs like Jeremy on the payroll!Things that occasionally break around the house can be frustrating, of course and, as Ill never be accused of being a handy man, its quite a comfort to know there is a company with competent, courteous, proficient, confidence evoking technicians that can not only resolve the inconvenient issues, but do so in a manner that leaves the customer actually feeling happy!Thank you Lodi. Thank you Jeremy F.Keep up the great work!Fellow non-handy men and women, if my experience was anything near typical, I feel more than comfortable referring any and all in need of similar service to said company. Many thanks,Adam R. I have used Lodi since about 2013 I have a double door and single door entrances to a three car garage . I am in a wheelchair so when my doors fail I do not leave my house. The job they do ensures they will be back. Tension and springs on the door are not adjusted correctly nor the drive motor fail safe screw. This being the case it causes a failure to open and close quite routinely. After 4 years I believe this is intentional. I called one last time to speak with a manager or owner, I left my name and number. I received a prompt call back unfortunately it was to schedule an 88 dollar evaluation, not any leadership to address my ongoing issue of 4 years. Everytime I have had them out it is for failure to open or close. I have replaced drive motors door springs and roller the drive screw from the opener as well as the tracks the door sits in, and yet Lodi still cant keep my doors working. If I were not in a wheelchair I would blow it off but I am tired of getting angry paying for services from people who do not hold themselves accountable. After leaving a review hopefully others will learn from my experience and make another choice.Lodi you have my info on file feel free to contact me for a mutually beneficial conversation.

Would not recommend. Told them I needed my garage door opener replaced. They sent a tech out a week later, he barely looked at the garage, cleaned the sensor and told us it was just the sensor. After suggesting that he looks at the motor he then gets his ladder and actually looks at the opener. Suggests we get a new motor, but not from them, but from amazon and we do the work ourselves. Not exactly what I had in mind when I specifically called somebody to fix my garage door. So after 5 minutes he leaves not without collecting a $85.00 service fee. So I paid 85 bucks for somebody to tell me I need a new opener, when I knew that already. Needless to say I called another garage door company and they sent a tech out same day to replace the opener.....and it was cheaper....and much more professional. With all the garage door companies in Phoenix, put this one at the bottom of the list.

We built a home and the builder used Lodi Garage Doors and More for our garage door. We had an issue so Lodi came out and burned out the unit while trying to resolve. When we called customer service about when they would replace it, we were told it would be the following week. This was unacceptable because they burned out the unit and when we voiced our concerns then informed them we would have to report it to the builder, they stated do whatever you have to do. The builder calls us back and states the date and time Lodi would be out to replace it. My husband receives a voicemail from Lodi with the same date and time referenced. The day and time came but Lodi didnt bother showing up. AGAIN, we have to chase them down to find out why. Lodi stated the appointment was for the following day which was in conflict to the voicemail they left us.If you have a choice, do not choose this company. Their technician burned out our unit and it has taken over a week and a half for them to replace their mistake meanwhile treating us poorly in the process.

I don’t know how they are still in business. Went through Costco for their service. Quote was actually very good. Then it all fell apart. Gave us a 2 week estimate... week by week we have been reaching out to them and Costco to see what was going on. We’ve been holding off other repairs and painting until the garage door is fixed. Tried to have them understand our front door is on the other side of the driveway and how it’s not the best for our 1 and 4 year olds to be exposed to the recent rains/weather. Then omg, their customer service lady was so amazingly rude it was laughable. She kept sarcastically reflecting our concerns and then mockingly studdered “uh uh uh” then hung up. I was frustrated for sure but wasn’t like we were arguing. Wow. We are crossing our fingers get our 50% deposit back. Costco has been very professional about the situation but I would recommend you find a better garage door company that won’t leave you with scarred memories every time you come home to your garage door.

We purchased a new home from Meritage builders in 12/17. On 1/6/18 I called Lodi to install the opener and code panel since we were told that to use another company would void the warranty on the door. It has been down hill ever since. The automatic opener was installed and worked a few times before catching and getting stuck. I called customer service immediately and was told that they didnt have any appointments for several days, which didnt work because my car was stuck in the garage and my kids had to get to school. I was also told in the initial phone call that if we had caused the issue we would have to pay a $85 service fee. This was less than 24 hours from install. I replied there was no way we had done anything to the door so please come out and fix the problem. Someone came out that evening and found that the previous tech had failed to remove the hand lock mechanism and while opening the latch caught and caused the door to pull off the spring because of the tension. I pointed out the bent track caused by the door wrenching to a stop and they said it was fine. Turned the latch around and left. The door was especially loud while opening and shutting but it went up and down so I thought it was fine. On 4/4/19 while we were out of town we got a call from a neighbor that the door wasnt shut. We called my brother in law to go and close it and he called back to say that the door wasnt left open, it was mostly closed except that one side was higher and the other was low and it was stuck. He climbed under the door and somehow got it to close so that no one else could climb in under the door and help themselves to our household belongings. We called for service on 4/6/19 and were once again told we would be charged for the repair, I told them I wasnt going to pay until I spoke to a supervisor because it was the exact same thing that happened previously and obviously hadnt been repaired correctly. They came out, found that the cable on the upper left side of the door had come off completely and when I explained the issue we had when they left the locking latch on he said thats probably why this happened again so soon. He repaired the wire and the spring and left. I went out later that day and saw that the door was buckling out between the top two layers and there was a line of unpainted door that hadnt been visible previous to this repair. I called again, and was again told that we could be responsible for the repair charges if we had caused the problem. A tech came out and said that the problem was the arm on the door that is supposed to be set to push the door in place when closed was not installed correctly, it was too short, and with all the issues with the cables and track the spring on top was so tight it was pushing it down too hard which was why it was buckling, He fixed the arm, set the distance for the door to be opened and closed and checked the chain etc. He said we should be all set. We even discussed insulating the door for the summer. I called customer service to discuss the charges and was told that to make you go away the company would not charge us for these visits, but this was the last time. That we would not receive anymore repairs under warranty. I would ask what the warranty for each repair is because the We went out of town last week and returned home last night. The door opened and closed and this morning when I went to take my daughter to the dentist it opened about a foot and the chain ripped out of the wall. So my car is once again stuck in the garage, and my husband had to take her instead of going to work. It would almost be funny if it wasnt so inconvenient.I have never done business with a company that so immediately tries to pass the cost and blame on to the customer. Not once did I hear an apology or a promise to make it right, or we want you to be happy and have a door that works.

Messed up and lost spring tension and called to find out how many turns to put on spring to obtain proper tension. Was told that is information they cannot give out because of liability. My instruction sheet has a space on it for the number of turns required. The number that was there is so faded I cant make it out. I thought we were in good hands with Lodi because we were buying our new garage door and motor through Costco. Costco stands behind their products and services but this experience was terrible. In mid-May 2016, our sales rep, Mark, promised a 15% Costco cash rebate, saying that even though the promotion ended two days prior that he would honor it. We chose our door, windows and motor and had to wait more than a month for our new door to arrive because it was wider than the standard size. I should have known something was wrong when I looked at the contract after he left and didnt see any mention of the 15% rebate, and when I called to confirm he didnt answer and never returned my call. We paid everything up front, and he was outta there.Fast forward to installation day - June 17th. Not only were the windows the WRONG size (we ordered 4 long-panel windows, and got 8 small windows) there was a gap in between the door and the ground, but only on one side. This was not the case with our prior door so I knew it was a mistake with the install. The installer looked at the paperwork and said Mark had made no mention of long panel windows on the order. He said he will contact Mark and that he would call me the same day. Naturally, no phone call came.Within a couple weeks, the Costco card came. And guess how much was on it? DING DING DING!! Thats right, just the standard 10%. I called Costco since Mark was completely unresponsive to my messages and I hate to say it, but they were no help. They said that the extra rebate had to be noted by the contractor and that I needed to connect with them. It had now been a month and not a single person had so much as lifted a finger to fix the three major problems with our garage door installation experience. When I called the main Lodi phone number and explained what happened - very nicely, despite how pissed off I was at this point - and that Mark was not returning my calls and that I would like to talk to a supervisor, the lady who answered was very rude and refused to let me speak to anyone other than Mark. She said only he can handle it and that I could call back after 1:00 and she will make sure he talks to me. Gee thanks, that is super reassuring, considering its been more than a month since our install and NOTHING has been done to resolve this after several attempts to just get someone on the phone. It should take no more than ONE phone call if a problem arises to hear back, and here I am literally chasing him down from every angle and still, nothing.Needless to say, when I called back, I got his voice mail. I left a message saying I would appreciate a call back and that he needs to do the right thing and have some integrity and fix the problem. Well, I guess it worked, because hallelujah! I finally got a call! Mark apologized, said he would have them put the extra 5% on the card I already have, he would order the correct window panel, and when they install it they would fix the gap in the door. He asked that I send a photo of the gap via text. So I did.And... radio silence. That was on July 19th. And I have heard NOTHING since. No new windows. No rebate added to my card. No phone call to schedule the install. And I think it is safe to assume my window panels, which take extra time to make because of their size, havent so much as been requested.Under no circumstances would I EVER recommend this company to anyone, ever. What kind of customer service experience is this? They screw up three MAJOR things and cant even be bothered to return phone calls, let alone fix the problem? It shouldnt take three solid months after an installation to have a problem so much as addressed. That brings us up to four months since we paid them $2700 UP FRONT and did not get what we paid for.Get it together, Lodi. You have more than just my one-star review. Its time you man up and own your horrible customer experiences. You may not go out of business but you will go on knowing you operate with absolutely ZERO integrity. Not the reputation I would want in business!
