The work that Sitwell did was quality for us. However, the customer service is where they lacked in my experience with the business. I received a quote for one price for upholstery. They failed to let me know that there would be a pick up and drop off fee associated with the work. I understand those services were provided and should be compensated for if necessary. But when I asked if the work could be split into 2 separate days there was still no mention of the pick up/drop off fee. So they billed me twice for the pick up and drop off, totaling $300, without a mention that there would be a fee.The problem I really had was Ricks customer service. He acknowledged that they overlooked the detail on the estimate and still did not apologize for the error. He was very condescending on the phone and made it seem like it was my fault for not knowing that this would be billed. Again, I understand that there will be fees for work done. Just be up front about them and dont hide from your mistakes.My company wont be using SitWell again solely based on the customer service. I am sure they do fine work most of the time and the quality of the work was fine, which was the only reason they get 3 stars. But my experience with Rick was not good.

What a HUGE mistake using them.Find somewhere else to use! Anywhere!I told them I simply MUST HAVE these patio chairs recovered and I could only drop them off if that was enough time, as I was expecting guests.They promised and didn’t deliver dnd never an apology.They didn’t have my 4 small patio seat recovered in 3 weeks when they said 2.Rick wouldn’t return my call. He was so unprofessional. No one knew if o had dropped off 4 seat bottoms for the patio set.It was ridiculous. Buyer beware.

The Sit Well staff do incredible work. I have a little ottoman that I love that had been torn years ago. I placed it in the capable hands of Rick and his crew and was stunned by the transformation. I now have a lovelier ottoman that was reupholstered in a sassy red leather that is truly a statement piece. Thank you so much!

I love these people! The yarns are high-quality and laid out in a lovely manner, and the salespeople are very helpful. If they dont have something in the store, they will either direct you to their website, or (awesomely) tell you which other Manhattan yarn/knitting/craft stores would be most likely to carry what you need.I have never had a problem here, and I like supporting a local yarn store whenever possible. Ive been to other AZ and Northern AZyarn stores, but I always return to Sit Well Upholstery & Fabrics.

I highly recommend Sit-Well Upholstery! I also researched places to take my half finished chair and was nervous it wouldnt be perfect as none of places have many reviews. I picked Sit-Well because it was close and I liked what I read. It was truly the best decision as they went far beyond the project and did an excellent job. True perfectionists and fast too. I was trying to reupholster my nursery chair and realized halfway in I was over my head. Called Saturday morning and Mike told me to bring it on in and he could finish it (for a very low price). The guys at the shop were wonderful, they let me hang out while Mike worked on it. Super honest, friendly, fast working and really care about doing the job right. They are artists. Mike surprised me and hand stitched a big piece I said I would do myself later and it looks better than how a high end furniture shop would do it. I was so impressed with this shop and the guys that work here, you really cant go wrong using them for your next project!

I had a very usually shaped sofa that needed to be reupholstered. I received a competitive bid and an acceptable finish date. The fabric I chose was extremely difficult to work with. They did a superb job. Based on the amount of extra time put in to make the complicated job perfect, I am sure they lost money but they honored the bid.I was so happy with Sit Well; I asked them to bid on another piece of furniture. They took a chair and ottoman with them but I needed to provide the fabric. I made it a point to go to their location this time. I was impressed with other “jobs” in process of completion and items ready to go back to other customers. These people are not upholsterers: they are artists.

I own a small leather business and I will never, under any circumstances shop here again. The salesman repeatedly patronized me, asking over and over if I had ever purchased leather and not so subtly implying that I couldnt afford what I was shopping for, even after I informed him that I own a leather business. Stay far away from this place.

I have been researching Upholstery companys here in Phoenix for over 5 years. As soon as I found Sit Well Upholstery & Fabrics Website I was interested to pursue more information. The fact that it has been family owned for so many years, and that the website was user friendly was attractive. I sent in the info on the piece I wanted Re- Upholstered. The background about this piece is it is a highly loved 55 year old sectional that has been in my family for years. My Mom and Dad celebrated their engagement on it, MY baby shower party and we grieved as a family on it when my Grandma passed away. You can guess that I wanted to feel like it would be cared for with excellence. From my first conversation with Rick to set up a free consultation meeting with their Designer Stacy (who was warm and not at all pushy), to the fast pick up and delivery of my gorgeous reconditioned sectional, the service and pricing was OUTSTANDING. They not only provided excellent service but actually thanked me for allowing them to work on this piece. We are thrilled that it still has all the original details and essence, but I honestly think it is more beautiful than it has ever been. We have had several pieces re-upholstered by this company, Stacy is awesome to work with. All work was done beautfully and on time, with fair pricing. I have never seen any one from this company who didnt speak English or appeared to be in this country illegally. Really tired of the few who have it out for anyone or company that doesnt look like they do.

We have had several items upholstered and customized and spent thousands of dollars at this place. The customer service and quality of work was all good while we were spending money. Since we have contacted them with an issue we cant get the owner to call us back and the staff in the shop are extremely rude, condescending and infuriating to deal with. I have personally made 4 attempts over the last 3 months to have the owner Rick call me back and have not been contacted to date. After leaving the shop today 2/17/17 requesting to speak with Rick, and the office attendant refusing to call him leaves a good customer no choice but to recommend others NOT use sitwell.

SitWell gave new life to my favorite chair! The new upholstery matches our room perfectly!!! And the craftsmanship is excellent!

I learned a lot from Sitwell about getting your furniture reupholstered. I’d keep looking or buy new.

My two-piece sectional, circular love seat was delivered earlier today. The workmanship is stunning! The upholsterer is masterful in his craft. These folks are professional as well as customer-oriented; they aim to please. Did I mention how prompt they are in picking up a customer order and in return delivery? I found them on line and want to share also how easy it is to use their website. I was able to get a sense for kinds and quality of fabrics available as well as see samples of other upholstery projects before I visited their E Greenway Road location. Staff are very helpful and truly do provide feedback and their opinio me making you think about the things you never thought might be disturbed when choosing a fabric. The care more about the customer service then they do getting the highest price.

Poor customer service...dropped off two chairs to be reupholstered and when I returned at the agreed-upon date to pick them up, I found that they hadnt even started working on them.They were quick enough to charge my credit card when I dropped them off though. A rather disorganized operation...if customer service doesnt matter to you, this might be good choice.

Unfortunately, my experience with Sitwell has been terrible. They oversold and underdelivered. They could not meet our requirement of detaching the pillows on the back, but didnt bother to notify us until AFTER the couch was done. The sewn in back pillows are uneven and the padding is unevenly dispersed. The seat pillows are misshappen and the padding that wraps the foam inserts are uneven. Whats worse is that they sewed the fabric on the back with pattern going in one direction and the pattern going in the opposite direction on the skirt.Ive called the owners numerous times and sent emails. Ive received no concrete solution from them and they have not responded to my suggestions for remediation. I am looking at filing a complaint with Visa to get some of my money back since they are so unresponsive.Stay away from this company. They are not honorable and do not back up their work.

Run down, dirty.

Contacted them in order to purchase a piece of foam. My dad was an upholsterer and purchased foam all the time decades ago, though despite their name and after repeatedly asking, they dont even know where to get foam and the gal didnt sound new or anything. I was surprised.

Wow this place is expensive on labor and on fabric.
