Everyone is great here at the store. They go all out helping you to find and pick fabric for yourNext project. Their classes and instructors help you too with your needs. Quilting your finished project is awesome. Service department is terrific too and fees are very reasonable.

Call to ask if they were a brother authorized dealer, they were not. That was fine. I asked him if he was aware of another shop. Told me a name but it was unclear what he was saying. I asked him to repeat it. He told me Look it up. I replied I would be happy to but I need to understand the name. He repeated it again and hung up. Would not use this store.

Great selection of wonderful fabrics. I am always so excited to go to the shop. But the staff is not welcoming. They are always too stressed out to greet or even smile. I feel like I am bothering them. Takes the joy right out of the experience. The whole point of going physically into the shop is for the EXPERIENCE.

So I was in your store on Friday 9/03/21 after going to the Quilt, Craft and Sewing Festival. I really love shopping at the store. I live in Yuma so I always have it on my to go store list when I’m in Phoenix. Unfortunately your cutting table ladies leave a lot to be desired. I walk up to the table with my fabric to be cut, no one having fabric being cut. I was never acknowledged by the two ladies there. One was putting labels on cut fabric and the other one had her back to me (no biggie). I waited a couple of minutes again no acknowledgement. So I said excuse me is there a line for the cutting table and the lady with her back to me said the line is down there, not that you can see it due to all the panels hanging in the middle. So I pick up my bolts to walk around to the start line when she told me the the other lady would cut my fabric. When I moved over to her station all she said was I though you were trying to figure this out. And no other conversations, other then to ask how much I wanted. This is not the first time I have been you the store. The cutting ladies seem more interested in cutting fabric for kits or mail orders. This has happens ever time I’ve been shopping here. I’m beginning to think you don’t want my business. Which is as shame, since you have a large variety of fabrics.

Wonderful experience! Staff was great, but maybe they were just a little bit to busy to be helpful or welcoming. Great choice of quality fabric and just about everything you need to be a great quilter.

I Brought my sweet 16 mid-arm in for servicing. Needed to repair the thread tension. Cost $199 and although tension was better, it now skipped stitches constantly. I called and they said to bring it in again and they’d fix it while I waited. That sounds nice, but the sweet 16 is a large, heavy & cumbersome machine. Taking it off it’s table, lugging it into my car and back is quite an ordeal. Since the machine was skipping terribly right away, I think they should have caught that beforehand. Especially for a repair bill of $199! I won’t be taking my sweet 16 back there for servicing again. In fact, I plan on taking all my sewing machines elsewhere for serving. Even one star is too many!

Love going to the shop!!! I just wish ALL fabrics were available, I know, impossible, lol 😞

The help I received was terrific. The problem with my machine was user error. They showed me the correct way to thread the bobbin and how to make a bobbin and they didnt charge me for their time. I bought a couple of items while I was there. I highly recommend them.

Wonderful selection of fabrics and all kinds of notions, kits, patterns, and other goodies for quilters. Plus the staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I learn something every time Im there!

This is an absolute gem of a store! They have everything you need, and are the kindest, most helpful people. I ordered all kinds of sewing things (thread, needles, fabric, etc) from them this summer and picked them up at curbside. When I wanted more information about an item (their website can be a little tricky), I just called and they had detailed and helpful answers and helped me place my order quickly. Absolutely charming and perfect local business.

What a great place for quilting fabric!!! The selection is amazing and they usually carry the whole line not just one or two fabrics. I placed an online order when fabric places were swamped with orders because so many people were making masks because of the pandemic of 2020. So yes, I had to wait in line for my order to be filled, but it really wasnt a long wait. I received a phone call from their customer service staff when it was realized that a couple of fabrics that I had ordered were just a little shy of the yardage that I had requested. Very pleasant to deal with and I just requested that they send what was available since it wasnt a large amount being short. Overall a great experience with my very first order from here -- Thank You & Stay Safe.

This is a nice fabric store with very pleasant employees. I took my embroidery machine in for cleaning and adjusting. This is an excellent store for this type of thing.

Took my sewing machine in for service and repair. Its an old one given to me by my grandma so Im excited to get it back and be able to use. They were very nice, took care to ask questions and handled gently. Should get a call in a week or so with estimate as they are very busy right now.

The customer service is excellent every time I make a purchase in the store. The massive items on display are inviting particularly the quilted, machine embroidery and other sewing items that have been created. All staff members are always willing to help and always have a positive attitude and a friendly smile.

I love working with these people. The owners are great - they like to keep their customers happy. They have a beautiful selection of fabric and hundreds of sewing, embroidery and serger machines. You cant go wrong shopping here!

Awesome store. This is the largest quilt shop in the state. They have a huge inventory of fabric, notions, thread and many brands of sewing, embroidery, quilting, long arm and serging machines (and vacuums). They also have commercial/industrial machines. They are starting with some classes and events again. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Youve got to check it out. You do have to wear a mask or you cant shop in the store.

This store is several miles from my home so I opted to order online and have the fabric shipped. I have no complaints at all with the service provided, my order arrived quickly and was perfect. Next time I am on the other side of the valley, I will stop in and shop. Thank you!

Great helpful staff, and great for anyone who loves fabric, sewing, quilting or thinks they might want to try it... but fabric is very, very expensive. I make baby blankets to give away, and simply cant afford to go there.

The ladies at the cutting station are always friendly, helpful, engaging (asking what you are making and offering advise and info on new products). I love this store. Sooooo many bolts of every kind of fabric. Im still making masks and continue to find great bargains in the back of the store.

I love this store. Been going there for years. Now, the have an e.oyee that is so rude it makes it uncomfortable to go inShe is mean and rude when you check out, rude on the phone when I called to check on something. If you hate dealing with the public please just find another job. For the price we pay for our hobby we shouldnt have to feel bad going into this store. Everyone else is wonderful.

In terms of fabric and product selection, 35th Ave Sew & Vac cant be beat. Staff is helpful and personable. Several times Ive been remembered by a staff member that I didnt remember. Pricing is good. Variety of classes and event is great.

I called and asked beforehand if they would be able to work on my machine and the guy said all i had to do was drop it off. So i drove over to drop it off and explained that i had disassembled it to clean it out because my cat sprayed on it. Mind you, its completely clean at this point, i just needed someone to reassemble it because i was having trouble and there wasnt anything wrong mechanically with it. The lady rolled her eyes when i said that and said to go back after the holiday and walk to the back to talk to the techs directly and see if theyd be willing to work on it, but they might not even touch it and Id be better off just buying a new one and forgetting about my current one since repairs would be over $100 and approximately 5-6 week wait. Not going to any of their locations if thats the way they interact with anyone willing to pay for service.

I really love the fabric selection in this store and the products... but the reason for my low star count is because they have had my machine for a month.. a whole month to repair some tension problems after I was quoted 2 weeks. My repair was also pushed back because of a rude repair guy that had a horrible attitude over the phone just straight up calling and asking what is wrong with it. very unprofessional.. no updates on when it might be done.. called a few days ago and was told its still being worked on. Im just really bummed I wanted to support a local business because of covid and it just came to bite me in the butt. I will be sticking to my Husqvarna viking retailer repair people in Joann from now on.

Even though the PROCLAMATION clearly states one does not have to wear a mask if one has health reasons not to I was kicked out of the store.Do not come here they are more concerned with being bullies than they are selling products. Shop online these horrible people do not deserve your money.

When I moved here from CA last year and saw this place, I thought I had gone to heaven. The selection and displays are unbelievable and inspiring. The staff is very helpful and not pushy. The classes are non-stop. Even during COVID, they have had virtual classes and Facebook Live and emails with projects and tips. I have been to all of their 3 locations but my heart belongs to Glendale. I recommend this store as a destination stop on any vacation to the Phoenix area.

Ive ordered from 35th Ave Sew & Vac three times now. They have great prices on the the sewing items I need, and always have the particular Janome needles that I prefer in stock. Shipment is very fast and they have great customer communication. I am very pleased with their service!

All the staff were helpful. At the till I thought they had overcharged me or made a mistake. I questioned my bill and the lady went to great lengths to straighten it out. A difference of $90.00. I appreciated her patience and help.I love the layout if your store and the selection of fabrics goes beyond a quilters wish. Great selection of notions and threads and very knowledgeable staff. I was looking for material to make masks and stmble across 35th Ave Sew &Vac. I found the site easy to navigate and the images were pretty true to color. They had a good handle on their inventory so you didnt by out of stock items. I did call them and they were very friendly and helpful.

I have had the pleasure of attending two different multi day classes while a nationally known quilting teacher has been giving workshops. The new venue is wonderful. Happen to attend the first big event Tay hosted. Hospitality was wonderful. New workspace was great for each attendee. Lunch provided has been great.I travel from out of town just to attend these classes and am never disappointed.

For the wife, its a great experience, but for me, the husband, not my first choice. From sewing to fabrics and everything in between.

I have never had a bad experience at 35th Ave Sew & Vac. Their Northern store has the greatest quality and quantity of merchandise that it takes hours to check it all out. Their fabric is top quality and they have discounts that you can use for all of it. The personnel is so friendly, helpful and nice that it is just a pleasure to shop there. They will help you find anything you need. Management is the greatest also. Very helpful and wanting you to have a great experience there. We all have off days but I dont think I have ever encountered anyone in a bad mood there. i will always shop there. Thanks for always being the greatest place to shop.

It’s a good place to shop for fabrics, threads, quilting supplies, etc. however I have not shopped there in months, in person or on line. Their website is clunky and their sales are not as good as they used to be I don’t like the in store restrictions they have, ie mask requirements. As soon as they return to the old “normal” I’ll return.

I have bought top of line sewing machines from this company. They are reputable and have excellent service. Their fabric selection in the Phoenix area is the best available. They have more notions, thread and other quilting sewing supplies than anyone else. I shop in several states across the southwest and this is by far the best store.

I have purchased Fabric from 35th Ave and each time my order has been correct - the packaging has been thoughtful and tidy and the shipping was timely.

Utterly disappointed by the lack of communication. I called yesterday and asked about repairs. I asked if there were any hold ups due to covid. I was told no and to bring my machine in. This is not close toy home and out if the way. I gave limited free time. When I arrived with my machine I was met at the door and told it would be a min 4 week turn around!! This should have been told to me when I called. Will not return

I am an avid quilter and visited the store a few years ago and loved it while I was in Phoenix visiting my sister. Recently, my sister expressed that she wanted to learn to sew. I called the store yesterday and talked to Carolyn and asked if I could buy a machine over the phone and have my sister pick it up. Carolyn did a fantastic job helping me and shared with my sister how to use her new machine, gave her some scraps and helped her pick put some other things she could use on her beginning journey of sewing.Thank you, Carolyn for all your assistance! Lots of bolts of fabric for quilting, applique and crafts. Tons of threads. All sorts of patterns for quilts, bags, machine embroidery,small sewing projects and books. A huge notion wall and tools with misc items for design and construction. A wool selection and great classes. Sewing machines and sergers, and quilting machines.They have it all! In my own words..a happy customer.

I have only shopped at the Northern and El Mirage locations. At both of these locations the staff have been friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I love the variety of fabrics, notions, and sewing, quilting, serger, and embroidery machines available to test before making a purchase. During ever purchase I have made at both locations I never felt pressured to purchase. Classes I have taken have been great. Instructors have been fun and knowledgeable, I also loved attending some of the bigger events. Love the classes and events I am looking forward to participating in more of them in 2020.
