This man in tote images posted to this review should be held accountable for the near death experience and horrible accident he almost caused that could’ve been wayyyy worse if the other poor driver wasn’t paying attention. he was coming off the 10 west today Around noon 7/22/21 thanks to my dash cam I caught EVERYTHING recorded!!! Driving such a big truck you would think the drivers would be more careful and that he would actually be paying attention and using signals!!! This is Not a good look for the company having irresponsible drivers on the road I will be posting this everywhere and maybe even taking to authorities. I fear for other drivers as well as myself and family. DO BETTER!!!!!

Thx everyone for leaving all this comments) i was about to stop for oil change and check why check engine, is on agane after wasting 1 week of my life and 10k at Memphys Volvo,its funny they dont learn man, monapoly at her best, dont ever ever buy a used volvo this trucks will get you out of bussiness,and the big part of it is how this shops are,all of tham,never got a good premium service like it should be in my opinion if you charge that price, is it that hard to hire a couple more mecanics or have more parts in stack and so on .i just dont get, and thay are talking to like u got 50iq,its allways tommorow untill is 1week.

Nice people......but man thats a NASTY driver lounge 🤮. Enjoy a nice hot cup of water. Yes the coffee pot was hot water and no coffee to be found. Weird smell. Furniture torn up along with walls and paint. Bathroom was clean but I just cant get over that smell. There was a couple vending machines but they were mostly out of everything. All in all its just very dirty. They say they have a shower but I didnt dare venture to see what that look like.

Diagnostics was needed for my Volvo truck.Asset as they call it was checked in Wednesday at noon time.Friday was the day they would have done the job.It is monday and I am glad I can take my truck out of this nasty place.Been kept completely in the dark for any info on my truck .

Waste of time!Tried to order truck part on Saturday. Was told that they wont take any card payments by phone, money code only, thats OK, but couldnt provide shipping quote and asked me to call on Monday. After hour and half of multiple efforts to call them on Monday was asked to come in person to pay for it. Imagine, Im 1700 miles away, should I stay thankful and fly there myself or something?

Rolled into Vanguard Phoenix and they charged me 289.00 to tell me that it would cost me 1200.00 to fix a repair that was under warranty. I had no choice but to pay the bill. Sadly thier work did not hold up and I had problems again 700 miles from their shop. I was told to return to Phoenix and that the repair they did should be a warranty. I could have gone to another Volvo dealer but returned because I thought they would fix their work for free. They charged me another 278.00 to tell me it would be 1400.00 to fix a new problem that they said might be the issues. Omg, these people think we are made of money. I left the shop and have been running on a check engine light sense. I have been a Volvo truck owner for years. I have been to a lot of shops. This is the worst I have seen. There are other choices in Phoenix. I strongly suggest you do not have Vanguards work on your truck. By the way, Volvo national agreed with me on the warranty but Vanguards will not return my money!

We have serviced several of our trucks at this location, and have been satisfied with the level of customer service and communication. Especially if you subscribe and use Volvo Assist platform. We typically receive up to date notification updates as soon as the tech updates the work order. Nevertheless, when I call in to discuss the repairs further, the guys at the service counter have enough data at hand to advise of options or estimate of downtime. Kudos to Mike running the after hour shift operations! 👍🏻

If I could give them 0, I would. My truck hot oil sensor lit up and I took my truck to them. After waiting for a week, they came up that the transmission should be opened cz they couldnt figure out why the light lit up. I decided to take my truck to another mechanic and the problem was the air filter was not working. It costed me around $200 instead of thousands by this dealership. I am glad I took my truck to my mechanic. So always double check their suggestions if you plan on using this facility. Totally unethical behavior and work culture.

Do not come here. This is the exact story of what transpired. Volvo truck needs a upper radiator hose replaced. The company I lease the truck from called to confirm that the problem could be fixed. Also confirmed that payment could be made over the phone without a payment authorization form filled out. I called at 1:30 to let them know I was an hour away however I had to pick up a load at 4 only ten minutes away and wanted to know if I should come before or after. I was told after because they would definitely be able to fix the problem. I went after and was immediately told that they had no techs and had no clue what I was talking about. Then I decided that I would just take the part. And.....oh but we need a credit authorization form filled out. The service person seemed to have joy telling me that he did not know who I spoke with and no way had anyone to do a 15 to 30 minute repair even though i was told to come later so it would be guaranteed. That is exactly what happened.

I dropped my truck there for transmission .problem was that when heavy load sign comes with check transmission.I told them the problem but after 4 days told me that they found nothing and they want to pull transmission out and gave me estimate of above $2000.I refused and pick up my truck and went to other mechanic in phoenix.they find out the transmission oil filter was bad. I paid vanguard 377 dollars for nothing done but outside my problem was solved less than 200.

Purchased 2 semi trucks, was promised to get all my flight reimbursements and a full tank of fuel for the truck and upon paying for the trucks, only a quarter of tank was filled up and my flights have still to this day not been reimbursed. If they promise you something do not believe it because they will lie. All they care about is their money. Will never give them my business again.

I dropped truck on Friday for front shocks replacement, because on my way back from Texas truck started vibrating and I could feel road a lot more than before I also looked at them and seem like they were leaking, also did some research with the Volvo web page and it just met all requirements for the shocks to be replaced, I been driving this truck for around 100,000 miles or so. Today is Monday I called for an update they said they didnt find anything wrong and they were supposed to test drive it, to be honest I didnt wanted to deal with Volvo just for shocks but my company told me to bring it but after this I dont think Ill be back in a while, I just dont have the time to waste.

With assistance of Tim in sales my purchase of a 2020 Volvo was flawless. I located the truck online, as we all know can be fraught with misrepresentation, but in this case Tim and every person involved from vanguard represented integrity. Tim has made multiple follow up calls regarding my concerns if any. Though I have had my Volvo less than two months I’m of the opinion the next purchase will only come from vanguard and the team. (Tim don’t retire until I purchase in three years). Thanks for everything.

Dont come at all at all costs. they rip you off. thats 99% guaranteed. just tow your truck to any other place if you have to. they are ridiculous from top to bottom. Stay away. They give an estimate and they keep changing until they reach to their target. Even the time given for repair could double. you just waste your money and most importantly your time. JUST GO TO ANOTHER SHOP. THEY DONT DESERVE EVEN ONE STAR!!!!!

We bring our truck for Alternator Change & Two Belts. Parts are EXPENSIVE, charge 3 hours labors. This job was not more then maximum 1 hour. Total Bill we paid $1100.00Similar Job TA Truck stop did $425/00 with Delco Remy Alternator.Hello Truckers please stay away from this dealership. Thanks

Overall experience was very good. I brought in my 2016 Volvo around 12:45pm this afternoon due to an engine ecu error message. They took it in shortly after and ran a diagnostics on it. They did what was necessary and kept me posted via email all through-out the process. I was out @ 4:45pm the same day! Gotta give credit where credit is due.....Thanks for a job well done!

If I could give them a negative Star, I would !! Given the fact that I own Volvo trucks, I thought the best place to have them repaired/serviced is a Volvo dealership. NOPE!!!This Volvo dealership must have the most incompetent mechanics I have come across in all my years of trucking!I brought my trucks in here with the exact same issues over and over and over again, spending thousands of dollars on labor only to be told they cannot diagnose/fix the problems. Ive jumped through hoops on my end with all their requests and theyre STILL unable to resolve the trucks issues, but they seem to have no problem charging me thousands of dollars every time just to tell me they dont know whats wrong with it. I paid a 3rd party Volvo certified mechanic to inspect the truck. They were instantly able to determine the kingpins and wheel bearings many were bad. It sounds like Volvo didnt even inspect the truck.I recently sent a truck in for regular maintenance/oil change. I had a driver pick up the truck a few days later, after being hit with a bill double of I was told it would be. During my following PTI, I noticed the oil was just as dirty as when I sent the truck in, the truck was NOT greased, brakes were NOT adjusted, and coolant was NOT topped off (in fact, it was at the min line). Besides taking my money, Im not exactly sure what they did.Its sad that you cant find a decent, trustworthy mechanic, even at a Volvo dealership. Sounds like its all about the money to them. Needless to say, this dealership will not be seeing any of my trucks again.

Forget about trying to call the parts department.. extremely understaffed. Also, Vanguard/mack cannot look up their parts inventory based off a part number...They require a vin number, but that impossible when you BUILD trucks with motors,transmissions bought out of state (you have no way of knowing the vin number).. I love MACK trucks and currently own 3... but this is getting old!😕

Slow service, poor attitudes. Hours say they are open on Saturday. Came to pick up parts during normal business hours and every door out front was locked with no signs to the after hours area. Once I figured out where to go, 3 of the 4 employees there were ignoring everyone and only 1 guy was helping parts customers. This kind of middle finger to customers encourages them not to come back unless they absolutely have to. I felt the same way and will not be back if I can avoid it.

I received great costumer service here, as to the way things are done is what they can only do. I never walk into a place expecting something perfect. The only thing I didnt like is the guy doing the diagnostics on my truck took it upon himself to use what I was simply trying to go over how the truck was acting when I was working...therefore, they charged my company based on what I said. My lips are now sealed when trying to help based on what it could be. Yes, some of you will read this and say duh(lol)...I knew it then and definitely know now..never try to help when it comes to places like this

I have no doubt about their job performance and skill level but the way they treat your valuable time is just plain awful...5 days for a control valve and a thermostat.... that is a joke. On top, $420 just for telling me what is wrong with it, also a freaking joke...I will have to come back for sure cause some stuff needs to be done by Volvo but i can guarantee that i will try everything to avoid if possible.

This is truly one of the better dealerships we’ve been to. Every time we’ve been to Vanguard in Phoenix they’ve been clear about what is wrong with our truck and always stuck to the promised timeline on getting it repaired. They really treat people more like family and less like a number. We have three trucks in our small fleet but they treat us like we have a hundred!

Went to get seat belt repair & I was told 133.00, the bill came out to over 400.00. Excuses why it cost more. Such slow service. I dont understand why it takes a week every time the truck goes into service. Its is just oil change for the most part should not take so long. Also every time the truck is brought in they always seem to find something else wrong with the truck & the cost to repair is always over 1000.00 Like the time before this one they said the tank was leaking & they would repair. This time they said again the tank is leaking but now its seals. I thought that the tank was leaking from the seals last time so why am I paying for another repair to this tank that seems like the same exact problem. I cant wait to see the invoice. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Service was great.. The turnaround time wasnt.. 5 days for a dpf cleaning and overhead service is not acceptable.. The staff was courteous and answered all my questions. I realize they are the only Volvo Dealer in PHX, but if your that busy maybe its time to hire some more people.

I took our companys bus to get worked on and it must have been a bad month for the service manager (who I will not name). Our driver had nothing but issues with the service manager. According to our driver, everyone who works with [the service manager] must not like him. He treats his employees like crap and it shows on the employees faces. When I called the service manager to check on a warranty status, he was very nice on the phone and told me that he would call me back in five minutes. I never got a phone call back.The reason why I didnt give this place 1 star is because the mechanics did the work on our bus in a timely manner.

Took in for repair. Truck would regen after 12h for 20min, stop for 20min, and continue over and over again. Took it here was quoted $5100 to fix the issue. After I picked up which it took a full week, 3 days for diagnosis and repair. Truck had to sit from Friday to Monday just to get a test drive. Not happy and spend $5100 and same problem.

People dont go here for anything dealing with your truck. All I needed was a delta p sensor installed. Was the first inline and was treated like Im new to trucking. The Male service writer said this said that as I explained to him everything that was done. They charged me 1k to test the 7th injector, which I agreed for them to rebuild the injector. They charged me for a service that wasnt done. It was cheaper to purchase a new one. Which they didnt flow or rebuild. Then the culprit delta p sensor was marked up from 114 to 145 which I was told it comes with an install kit. Well they installed it with the 2 old hoses and clamps. Also was charged 145 dollars for shipment of parts. Ontop of this 110x4 for 2.75 hose clamps that cost 19.99 riggggght in there place of business. Upon leaving my truck never leaked antifreeze, it does Now! You be hearing from more than myself.

Went to this place for a sensor code, I check in at 11:50am, was told I have to wait for a diagnostics . Now around 13:54 I was told truck heading into the bay now keep in mind I was outside, at 14:27 I got another msg stated that truck will carry over until tomorrow all this went down while I was inside asking them how it going to take two days! Lady at the desk replied that the technician is working on it that when I left the front desk and the truck were just in the bay with no one inside or outside of the truck. So I went back inside and told her whats going on she still replied I have to wait for the technician to put the truck back together, 😏 huh? What truck?. Not even the computer were connected to the truck when I received those msg.. I really dont know why a BRAND LKE VOLVO ALLOW SUCH PLACES TO REPRESENT THEM. I still get charge $184.64 .

Changed my oil with the wrong weight. All new volvos use 10w30 and they used 15w40. Didnt change my fuel water separator. And changed me 340 for a pm. All other dealers are 249. And I had to wait 6 hours.

We left our truck with these people for a week or alittle over when our truck broke down we had to go back to nc and while waiting it took forever to get any answers from them on what needed to be fixed i felt like we had to call them just to get updates. We had to fly back out to Phoenix when they said it was done supposedly Xy shifter and trans harness $2600 worth of work and we left got out on the road over night just to find the problem was still there we were so pissed and broke at that point that we couldn’t afford to take it all the way back to them not that we wanted to at that point anyway because they didn’t fix it to begin with.. so after several more shop visits to other places we find today that when they replaced the xyshifter and harness they didn’t reprogram the ecm for new upgraded parts. Why would a shop not know this??? Your guess is as good as mine it’s costed us 6k in the long run to pin the problem they should have fix it and known that they needed to reprogram to recognize the new parts i wouldn’t suggest anyone coming here

Its Friday i brought my truck for tailight and wiring corrosion that i found while on thr road. trucks still under warranty. I told them the wiring harnes pig tail and tail light needed replacing. 4 hours later after finally getting my truck back they say no parts in stock soonest we can get them in is monday and we have an 1.5 hours of diagnostic @137/hr. I explained that i could not sit for 2 days for a tail light and wire to get replaced load had to get picked up. They say you need to pay out of pocket then. I WAS MIND BLOW THAT I BROUGHT MY NEW TRUCK FOR A FACTORY DEFECT THAT IS 100% COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND STILL HAD TO PAY FOR THEIRE SO CALL DIAGNOSTIC WARRANTY. DO US A FAVOR AND PUT A SIGHN FOR OTHER DRIVERS THAT SAYS IF YOUR TRUCK IS GETTING WARRANTY AND WE DONT HAVE A PART IN STOCK THEN YOU ARE LIABLE FOR FULL DIAGNOSTICS @137HR.

I bought a truck. About a year ago. It had constant problems. Its hard to find dealers and when I did find dealers they are always packed. I bought the extended warranty and was told it was bumper to bumper. Its not. A $3573 warranty is worth $375 on one tow. Oh. If you submit your receipt correctly. In one year, my truck I bought here had cost $23,000 in repairs. Dont come here. Dont ever come here. Not even for air fresheners. Limp mode to El Paso. Skip Flagstaff and Tucson its the same there too.

It is quite saddening that we are forced to shop here due to Slowgaurd being the only Volvo supplier. Slow, disrespectful, horrible attitude toward customers. I cant even count how many times the employees complain about customers ordering too many things, huffing and puffing as they relay parts to the front counter. If you own a Volvo and think youre going to need parts eventually, just sell your truck, save yourself the frustration of visiting this place.

In case u have no other choice make sure u know exactly what needs to be done - dont trust them and dont let them run diagnostics. They charged me $800 for what they call go look at the truck

I drive new 2017 volvo vnl 780 80k miles on it and this trucks has factory defact refrigerators, so our last 3 trucks refrigerators broke down too in pa volvo dealer change them real quick, but when I call this volvo dealer they said it takes 24 hours to diagnose it, and asked to wait friday to monday like a joke :) when I said this is defact refrigerator you guys should replace it right away their answer was we can not do anything about it, so they are not helpful at all.

Jim is clueless. My company brought in a truck yesterday, got the repair bill, declined it (because naturally theyre trying to upsell me on parts I dont need), and Jims trying to tell me that I talked to someone in sales instead. Yeah, right! I talked to Mustafa, who must be their star player, but even he doesnt seem that savvy.And Certified Uptime, in your dreams! I wasnt called within two hours, like they claim in their literature. Luckily the diagnostic bill (on a problem I had indicated) was under $100, so that was a small break. But I called them the next day to press them to hurry it up. It was literally a one hour repair.Plan on at least an overnight stay for your vehicle, and dont let them upsell you on parts.

Worst experience ever. i Told Them I Am in a hurry and would be unable to put my truck in the shop with them unless they were able to get to it right away. They say no problem it will be put in the shop this afternoon. I call that afternoon and then its the next morning then that afternoon. Its now been 5 days they havent touched my truck and Ive lost more in revenues then the repairs would cost...*update*They broke my radiator claimed somewhere along the line it was damaged ha! If you can get your parts from any other dealer do this. I have only ever had problems with vanguard truck losing parts orders or never ordering it in the first place. Once you call to find out you just get excuses from everyone as to why the part was not delivered when they stated it would be.

So many people walking around that work here and no one can help you because they are busy talking. If you have all day to stand around and do nothing this is the place for u to get your parts!!!!! But thier volvo so customer service apperently isnt a priorty. Thanks volvo 2 hours waiting and not even a discount. Good luck to anyone brave enough to try this spot

They dont deserve any star at all.they give me estimate was 18000 charge me 22000 no explanation. .Wait for hed 2 months.After 50 miles gat go beck coolant leak at thermostatbody .They tray too charge me another 7000 to fix that thill I show them where leak. Vice President the guy who is in charge is INCOMPETENT....I went there with the truck on wheels and spend $ 7200.00 I HAD TO TOW THE TRUCK AWAY ...This is the text from me to the Vice President Sir, Volvo misdiagnosed 3, 4 times everything they did up to this point...I purchased a TCU; Clutch; throw out bearing...plus the labor...then 8 days later they found out that is the automatic ZF transmission;My question to you is as follows; would you please be kind and accept the parts back since now Im going total different route ...will put in a manual transmission since they couldnt find only 8 days later that is the transmission, after I spent all this money?Can you please help me out?This is the text from VP Dan Kingston to me...YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE IT...Your tranny will be put on a pallet and strapped to your truck. All Buyers beware. Service department engaged in Extreme gouging of me, the customer. Horrible customer service. Youll sit for many days (6 days) waiting on your truck. Very misleading and deceitful with estimates and work they say they do. Paid out thousands of dollars to have the problem occur again within hours after leaving the shop. Jim and the service manager will lie to you. Accept this as a warning.

After purchasing a Mack truck from Vanguard I brought it back after 50,000 miles with some questions and possible maintenance issues. One concern I had was I thought maybe one or both of the wheel seals on the steer tires where leaking. The service department worked me up an estimate on recommend work to be done. The price was absurd. They also included other items I never mentioned. Each item was an automatic $65.00 diagnostics + parts and labor charge. For example they where gonna charge $65.00 to change a cab marker light and $22.00 for the bulb. In other words I would have paid $87.00 to have them change a light bulb that I can buy at any auto parts store for less than $10.00. They quoted another astronomical price for replacing power steering lines that appeared to be leaking. Unfortunately I had them do that. After I picked and chose what to have them do to try to bring down the price, I was criticized by Marty at the at the service desk for being cheap. When I got the truck home 5 days later, I had power steering fluid leaking all over the place. I brought it back in and come to find out they had only replaced 1 line and charge me for 3. They than replaced the other 2 and never admitted to the oversight. There are many more bad things I could mention but Ive taken enough space. Oh and the total price quoted for service was almost 1/3 of the price I paid for the truck. Long story short I came in with a concern about wheel seals. Almost $3,000 later I had a standard oil change and lube done and 3 power steering lines replaced. The wheel seals where fine not leaking. I ended up paying them over $800 in random diagnostics I never asked for. I cannot recommend Vanguard Truck Center in Phoenix.Update : I came back 20,000 miles later for general service since they are the only dealer in my area. It took 8.5 hours to change oil and lube the chasis. That also included diagnosing a ticking noise in the AC control panel. They are totally incompetent in diagnostics. However, the service manager Mr. Miller went out if his way to communicate. He offered to discount the rate on re diagnosing the problem. That spoke volumes to me since I believe companies should never charge for an issue they didnt fix. A company which puts forth an effort to fixing relationship problems deserves more stars. I originally posted one star but am happy to raise the rating. Thanks Eric and Mr. Miller for understanding!
