Had a surprise birthday party there. Very accommodating and helpful with setup and during the party. The staff like what they do and it shows. One kept coming around asking if anyone needed tips or help.Fun for all, even the old people, i.e. me!

Always a fun experience when my wife and I come here. Lots of fun painting and a bunch of varieties of different things to paint. Animals plates bowls cups... seasonal items to paint as well depending on the time of year you come.

A great idea for the artist or family fun. However, they used to have exceptional service and employees that were willing to take the initiative to help if you needed it. With COVID, the amount of painters is limited. It is best to make reservations. With that being said, we had to wait until others were done with paint types, colors and supplies; as they didnt have enough to go around. Sadly, this extended the time it took to complete our session by 45 minutes. You can expect to pay around 25.00 to 50.00 average for each pottery piece you choose in addition to the 8.00 studio fee for each person painting. Some of the tiny things are around 12.00. Lastly, you used to be able to pick up your pottery in a few days. They now state that you may pick them up in 7 days. If this doesnt work for you, I suggest that you paint with acrylic paint. You can take your pottery home after you complete it.

Reservation is recommended. Studio fee is now $8 per adult. Great place to hold parties or take classes.

This was a fantastic experience with my sister. We had to come in very last minute due to an extreme circumstance, and they were very accommodating. I can’t tell you how much I have appreciated their kindness and understanding.

Just went with my family for Mother’s Day! The staff was so helpful and caring. It made the experience with a toddler very enjoyable. We now have a plate with his hand print and a bowl with his footprint!

Took my daughter here, fantastic experience overall. The only small downside is that the location itself is extremely small, which is ok as they had everything appropriately social distanced. However they only had 2 employees in the store which made the small space even more uncomfortable with longer wait times. That was the only downside.

This is a great place for my daughter to come and paint and have her friends over for a birthday party. I really enjoyed the excellent service from all of the employees assisting with making the party a huge success! Tons of fun to all around and I highly recommend it for anyone, party or no party. Its just a fun place 😊

I went here for my birthday! They took off the studio fee and I spent around 3-4 hours painting this beautiful plate. I could spend an entire day here if I had the time!

The ladies that work there are very nice, the store is clean and has a lot of great selections that kids would love to paint. It is on the expensive side but I was told today about the family pass, every third Wednesday there’s no studio fee and the last Monday of every month they have special deals. We had Zoe yesterday and she was so very nice, gave me a lot of great information and the flier for September with upcoming deals and events. Great experience. Can’t wait to go again!

I was really disappointed today to see that As You Wish is not asking its painting customers to wear masks. My family has been coming here since they opened years and years ago. (Theres never a time Im without a family pass in my wallet.) Lately, with covid-19, weve been picking up pottery, painting it at home and returning it to the store for firing.I stopped in today to drop off our stuff and collect our previously finished pieces. Theres a sign on the door stating they require masks, but I was shocked to see numerous groups painting inside and only the employees wearing masks. When I inquired about it, the nice girl working explained that they ask you to wear them when up and around but not while sitting, because they have the tables socially distanced. Although they are spacing people out, there were 5 different groups in various stages of painting--one a group of four-- making for almost 20 people including myself in that small storefront, mostly without masks. I have to be honest and say I felt uncomfortable and at risk while waiting for the employee to write descriptions of my pieces and locate my finished ones.While I love As You Wish and will continue to be a patron, I do not plan to enter again until the virus has finally been beat, or they change their safety procedures.

The staff was friendly and my daughter had a lot of fun. 7.50 person to paint and then you buy whatever ceramic you want. The ceramics are stupid pricey. Heres what we made... Now we just have to pick them up in a few days.

Fun place to escape the heat!

Friendly staff, relaxed environment. Time to create and use the art skills I forgot I had. Haha! I look forward to seeing my creation fired. Great for date night or time with a friend. Take a good look at all they have to offer. There seems like quite the selection. The only draw back is, it is a little expensive.

Horrible experience with customer service! We showed up and they had lost our reservation. They were still able to seat us, but this was our first time in and we weren’t sure what to do and they gave us no help or direction. How many layers should I apply? How do I do hand or feet prints? I had to start asking questions and after every question the girl would walk away. The workers were more worried about painting pottery pieces and stocking their shelves than helping customers. Will not be back! Huge disappointment.

Took the kids here for something different and we had a great time. Kids had a blast. Only issue is my kids had such a great time they wanted to paint more. So bill ended up being 175 which is a bit much. So just be careful on how many items the kids Paint and you will have fun.

Great place for kids and adults. The pictures with this review are from one of the monthly homeschooling classes they offer. This class was super easy and a lot of fun. We were able to sign up and pay online which is how I did it for the Christmas Tree class year. 😊The DESERT RIDGE location is clean and has friendly staff that really wants to see what youre creating. I had been holding on to a pumpkin forever not knowing how I wanted to paint it. They helped paint it with a swirl paint technique and it turned out better than I could have imagined!I went to the Deer Valley location and ended having to walk out 10 minutes later due to lack of paint and an employee who wouldnt get off her cell phone and tablet to help me find paint. I drove over to this location andreceived a completely different experience here.If youre looking for something to do, this is it!

I love this place. I would give it bonus stars if I could. The people here are incredible. They have treated me so well every time I go in there. I cannot say enough good things about the staff here. They are kind, help, encouraging, and confidence-building. Their customer service is exceptional. They make a fun activity even better. Ive been to this location many times, and I notice that it is a place where people are just happy, customers and staff alike. I think you have to try to have a bad experience here. I find pottery painting to be therapeutic and rewarding. I come here often after stressful, long hours at work and feel the stress just melt away. It is so helpful to just spend an hour lost in a painting project. It is so exciting to see what you can paint onto a plate or a mug. The classes I have taken here have been informative and helpful. Strongly, strongly recommend As You Wish Desert Ridge

I took a class with my daughter in law and granddaughter. It was relaxing and creative. The teachers were patient, informative and encouraging. A terrific way to spend a Friday night

I planned an event with some friends for a Sunday afternoon. Affordable and so much fun. Helpful and friendly staff! AND clean and organized. With a group of 10 I made reservations a week in advance and everything was ready when we arrived. Easy pick up too!

Saddens me to leave a 1 star. I used to love this place. I usually wouldn’t let 1 bad experience change my feelings. However, we just had the worst experience at the location. Owner was having a personal party and was completely invasive of the space. Ended up leaving before finishing the project. Hate to be a picky customer - but seriously? Offering your employee wine while customers are there? Will be going to the other locations in the valley from now on. I felt as though I was in a strangers house... definitely didn’t feel like a customer, and definitely decided to leave without finishing the mug I had been working on.Such poor service and management.

It was fun and the people were very nice. However, my pottery came out with spots on it and low on paint in other places. This did not happen when I went elsewhere. They did say I can come back and fix it up, but in my opinion, if they cleaned their ovens, this wouldnt have happened.

Amazing time when looking for something to do

Grandma brought my 6yo and 4yo here to do some projects. The staff was less than friendly/helpful, more into talking to each other and friends. Upon picking up our items they had to search for them based on just a description of the item. Description is nice, but name and/or initials on the item would be much better to ensure the correct item was picked up (especially if someone that wasnt there is picking them up!). No bubble wrap, so if you are travelling anywhere other than locally stop by the store and pick some up. Not likely to go back.

Overall, i really like this place.The Pros: This place has plenty of brushes, paint, stencils,and more. Good variety of colors to use. They have a decent varity of unfinished ceramics for you to choose from. Ranging from 4$ to 30$ and higher. The young ladies up front are extremely nice. They will always help you with what you need and they compliment your design work. Only takes 3 days to fire up the pieces and get it back to you. Plus.....They let you paint for hours! (Last time i went, i spent 3 hours)The Cons: You have to pay a 7.50 studio fee (doesnt include the objects you paint). Its sort of cramped in the front (less busy in the back). I recommend calling in for a reservation, otherwise you risk having to wait. Check the small bottles before you settle down, they may be empty. They only refill them once a week. The ceramics are a bit over priced (my opinion). Make sure you keep your receipts! Otherwise it will take em a while to find your pieces.

Overall, a great place to get creative and get some downtime. If you are new, dont expect to really get any help or direction unless you come on a weekday during the day and ask a lot of questions. They are too busy and its chaotic otherwise. There arent a lot of tools for people that dont have a steady hand or arent very artistic...for example, no fine brushes to make fine lines. Pottery is also fairly pricey. Huge markup on what they pay for it

Plenty of parking. You get to pick a pre made piece of pottery and paint it yourself with a plethora of different color paints. A little on the pricey side but it offers a unique experience that I would recommend. The staff is very friendly and helpful and, you get to pick up your pottery after they fire it; which is once or twice a week.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This “business” is extremely unprofessional and cannot do their one job. I went in to paint an owl as a gift for someone. I spent over an hour painting this owl. When it was time to pick it up, they tried to give me the wrong owl then told me they lost mine. I got a call from the manager saying they found my owl. I made a second trip and had to drive all the way back to this location. When I went to pick up my owl, they tried to give me the same one they originally tried to give me that was not mine. I simply said this is ridiculous and to just give me a refund. Not once did the girl at the register apologize for this inconvience and she had a major attitude the entire time acting like this was all my fault. She was trying to argue saying I was wrong with the paint color and then just blatantly ignored everything I said. This place has horrible customer service. They did not even offer for me to paint another owl on them. Do not come here. They have one job and that is to not lose people’s artwork, yet that is too difficult for them.
