What a cool and chic spot. Food/service/ambiance all excellent. Went for a Sat Brunch. Upon initially walking in we ran into a little confusion as there are multiple lines people are waiting in. Once we got setup we were sat immediately outside in the back area. This place is Super cute inside and outside. Food was really good and drinks were refreshing. One of the better brunch experiences I have had In a while. The owners and staff have put a ton of work on the fine details!
I stopped by this place on Saturday morning about 7:30am, its order and seat yourself until 8am. The server at the coffee bar was honestly less then helpful and its clear she didnt want to be their, this is the first time Ive been to this place and she was not clear on what happens next after we ordered our drinks and food, the drinks are made and then called out like Starbucks, the food is delivered, the orange juice you grab out of the refrigerator, thanks for the heads up server. Customer service at a restaurant is paramount, she doesnt think so.Food was great and obviously the atmosphere is definitely got a vibe. I got the parfait which was absolutely amazing! 💯 my girlfriend got the flower child which she enjoyed!
Great experience. Food was exquisite. Try the Korean prime skirt steak. That was the best, you wont regret it. Also ordered the grilled fish tacos which I thought were okay but my team member thought they were the best she had ever had.Very pleasant ambience even at lunch time and the decor is very nice. Overall great experience and the staff was very courteous as well. The waitress even offered to take a group photo for us outside in addition to the one she had taken on request. So nice!
Upscale dining, with a casual vibe. Menu had a great selection, ample seating but doesnt hurt to make a reservation. Loved the Korean skirt steak with fried rice and the cocktails. Our entrees were heavy on the cilantro, which I liked but other didnt care for. The service was awesome, our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and kept our tables drinks filled. Would recommend for a celebration or special night out, felt fancy but more affordable
First time going there it was. Small menú yet it was delicious! Breakfast items looked good. The place looked clean. Lots of casual business people inside. The staff was very polite and helpful. Prices were good not too expensive. The only reason for my 4 stars its because my plate was dirty from the bottom when the waiter gave it to me I grabbed it and my fingers got dirty with what ever was smeared on the bottom of the plate which I didnt appreciate. Other than that good place to go eat!
I love the Henry - the service and food is top notch and the ambiance is nice too! Being in Arcadia, it’s definitely a little bourgeois but that just makes for good people watching. I’ve visited for happy hour (truffle fries are a must) and brunch and greatly enjoyed my experience both times. Reservations are available for certain times and I would recommend as it does get pretty busy.
Probably one of the easiest 5 stars I will ever give. This restaurant truly knows how to satisfy its guests.I will do a pros and consPros- Employees and servers are amazing and kind. They definitely go the extra mile- Interior is absolutely stunning.- Food is ridiculously good. The honey chicken sandwich is a must- Brunch is really good here, but dinner might be betterCons- Literally nothingAgain, easily one of my favorite restaurants in Scottsdale and I will easily be back.
I highly recommend this restaurant. I’ve been here several times and each visit is consistent, relaxing, and filled with great food. The staff is wonderful as well. I typically get the Sea Bass which I definitely recommend. It is always a good size cut, flaky, moist, and melts in your mouth along with a nice crispy sear on the top and fresh ground spices....perfection on a plate. I also like how you can order a half size salad (not listed on menu) which makes it easier to pair with an entree. I would also mention the ambiance which gives this restaurant even more stars... very tastefully done. I would give 6 stars if I could... well done.
Tried this place for both brunch one weekend and dinner. Both menus are fantastic, obviously more of their flagship entrees are on the dinner menu. The ambiance of this place is a modern industrial mixed with mid century modern vibe with lots of wood, and LOTS of greenery. Their fiddle leaf fig trees are impressive. There is outdoor seating as well, but havent done it because its been well over 105 degrees both times. You can easily see into the kitchen area as its an open kitchen. There is a coffee shop in there where you can grab coffee/desserts and go, or if youre waiting for a table. There is an open air bar area where you can sit or you can grab a drink while youre waiting for your table. Their fig and ginger mule is one of my favorites to get both times. The skinny prickly pear margarita is also delicious and dangerous. Theyre all strong and delicious. The appetizer in the pic is the short rib pot stickers which are amazing and the truffle fries are amazing as well. For dinner we got the seared ahi tuna dish which was really good and sits on a bed of curry rice with a mix of Asian influences between curry, coconut and lemongrass. The real winner was the braised short rib which literally was like butter the whole way when you cut it and when it was in your mouth it was cooked so well.Overall, menu items are reasonably priced and are well portioned, but depending on your budget, can get expensive quickly. Most entrees on the dinner menu range mid 20s or more, and alcohol is 10+. For a dinner for two with each getting 2 or 3 drinks plus appetizers it was about 150 in total not including tip. But, you get what you pay for here. Its all effing delicious.
Such a beautiful establishment with delicious drinks and fabulous food. Alana, our server, was so personable and made you feel like you were her only table. Her knowledge in the restaurant, food, and the local things to-do was so helpful. We ordered the chicken tortilla soup and short rib pot stickers for appetizers. We both loved the Bolognese for the main course, and the chocolate brownie with peanut butter and coconut was so decadent and delicious. The sangria was the best Ive had in a long while, and the margaritas were simply perfection.
Another of Sam Foxs restaurant empire...that has a great variety to please all palates with cocktails, beers and beverages to complement the delicious food. Simple but fulfilling...you will walk away with a smile on your face, Enjoy!!
This place is great, so close to 5 stars. We had the spicy tuna crunchy rice appetizers and it was so good we made a second order. Its slightly spicy and sweet. The softness from the tuna accompanied by the crunch from the rice had the taste and the texture. We also had the Korean prime skirtsteak, and it was also good. As for the fish(sea bass) tacos, those were disappointing. The tacos did not have much seasoning, and the fish was not fresh. The service was good also. The pricing is reasonable as well.If it wasnt for the fishy tacos, I would have gladly rate the Henry a solid 5 stars.
Sunday Brunch review; great food, cool atmosphere, decent service. Passing through Phoenix after camping for 3 weeks and stopped at the Henry for brunch. Visited these in other cities; similar feel and food. On Sunday afternoon it was a scene place, everyone was dressed well except us lol. Coffee from the coffee bar was very good, truffle fries were great, bacon Bloody Mary was great, breakfast bowl and French toast were good. Server was new and there were a few hiccups but they made it right. Very good experience. Will return.
My husband and I were at The Henry Thursday of last week for our last night in AZ, and loved it! The ambiance and decor are beautiful. I love the dim lights. Our wonderful server Amanda was so pleasant. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and assisted us greatly. I ordered the a salad with Scottish Salmon and it was delicious. It was cooked exactly how I requested to be. My husband ordered the steak and said it was one of the best meals he’s ever had. When we come back into town, we will definitely stop in again.
The restaurant is beautiful very open and airy beautiful decor. Great mimosas and food. I had the caramel apple french toast with the chicken sausage crumble side.
If you are in town and you only go one place, let this be the one. I am so glad a friend of mine recommended it during my visit. It has everything: craft cocktails, expresso bar, large party space, indoor/outdoor seating, chef crafted food, professional staff, and great decor. We went after a hike and even though they self describe as fine dining, youll find the the breakfast/ brunch patrons comfortably casual.
Went here for a special occasion with my wife. The ambiance was great (on the patio even in 100 degree heat... Misters for the win!). Our server was attentive and conversational. We were impressed by the variety of food available for our gluten free low (but relaxed... special occasion, ok!) carb dietary needs. The food was awesome. We got the spicy tuna appetizer, umami brussel sprouts, short ribs, and harvest bowl. Everything was top notch delicious. We will be back!
Great restaurant I enjoyed the harvest bowl and I added salmon and it was a combination of flavors in so many ways! The Mac and cheese was also tasty! For an appetizer I highly recommend the parmesan truffle fries. Server was great the service was slow though. Long dinner but the flourless brownie is a great way to finish up your meal so save room! I wish I was not in for 4 1/2 star because this restaurant doesn’t deserve a four star. The only reason I gave it a 4.5 is because the service was slow.
This Henry location is another absolute home run. The space itself is gigantic... lots of indoor, outdoor, bar, booths, and high-top seating available. The food is classic Americana Fair. Think lots of grilled and roasted entrees along with a huge list of salads. They seem to take a regional view on their menu as this location included lots of southwestern-inspired cuisine... lots of guacamole lots of roasted corn and peppers... you get the idea.
I had a dinner date with a buddy last night at your cozy and reasonably priced restaurant. We were both quite happy with the meals you served. Everything was delicious and enticing. I can assure you that your boss is one of the greatest in our country. We will definitely return to your eatery! Highly recommended!
This place was hopping!! Super busy, lots, of seating, fabulous food and great service. We had the best waitress. I had a really interesting, healthy salad with brussel sprouts and quinoa. Not my usual fare but it was delicious. My husband had the french dip. It was good and very popular. Our waitress recommended the chocolate cake with the german peanut butter frosting. She was right! It was fantastic!
From the coffee to the food, everything was amazing .I ordered a coffee and a chicken sandwich. Both were excellent. The chicken was cooked in a delicious batter and came fresh.I will definitely be coming back.
Oh Henry.... My Henry.... Great place for brunch, dinner, creative cocktails - the prickly pear Margareta soooo good, good menu, deviled crab dip is a must have for us and they know how to cook a steak to perfection. They have an excellent private back room if you have a larger party for an occasion, Great space but at the same time intimate. Another success for years now from Fox Concepts in a great building. Nothing disappoints here. Go with a date, your mom, coworkers, friends, everyone will enjoy it.
Great food and service. The atmosphere is wonderful as well. This was my first time here but Ive been hearing about The Henry for years from friends. Glad I finally made it in and will definitely be returning.
Service staff have always been friendly and accommodating. The food is good but I would expect a bit more considering the $$ value. The wine and beer selection is enough to satisfy just about anyones thirst. Ill probably go back again.
Cozy and inviting ambience great for a date night or dinner with friends. Drinks were well balanced. Started with the Short Rib Potstickers which were amazing. For entrée the Korean Skirt Steak was cooked exactly as ordered. Food and drink was a little slow to come out as they were busy for a Tuesday night but staff was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back.
It was busy on Saturday night. Its on the pricy side, the Surf & Turf special was $60 a plate. The restaurant is trendy and popular. Expect rich Scottsdale/Paradise Valley people to be the clientele. Dress ranges from casual to the nicer side. The wait staff is very professional...expect them to be because they get big tips on large tabs. I had fish tacos and they were good. My daughter had the Korean flank steak and after I tasted the portion she gave me, I asked why in heck she would give away such perfect steak.
The atmosphere was grand but the food was less than grand. All I had was a blueberry muffin, eggs and bacon. I paid $6 for 2 eggs that looked like 1 and nothing was flavorful. 😔. But again the atmosphere and vibe was really nice!
4 stars because they lost my reservation, even though I called the day before to confirm it. Ended up having to wait 25 minutes after my reservation time to be seated. Even then, service was on the slow side. That said, the service was friendly and we were happy with the food and drinks when they did arrive. Came for brunch. The breakfast potatoes were excellent. Bloody Mary with bacon was good (if a bit heavy on the horseradish).
Disappointingly over-rated. After years of hearing amazing things about this place, we finally decided to try it out and bleh. The atmosphere is amazing but the service was atrocious and the food was mediocre. It first started with the hostess telling us wed need to be gone within an hour of being seated. After being shown to our table, we waited fifteen minutes without a server greeting us. We had to go back up to the hostess and ask for a server, who eventually showed up after another ten minutes. We saw him only one other time after that, when we were ready for the check. Other servers dropped off our food and beverages and he never stopped by to see how the food was.Now onto the food, the place definitely uses high quality ingredients so thats a plus but the dishes are underwhelming. We ordered the Ranchero Breakfast Bowl & the Lox Bagel. The components, in theory, sound delicious on the menu but execution is lackluster. The food looks great and is very picture-esque but youd expect more flavor, it was all just very under spiced.I suppose this place is very much like its food, it looks great, its great for pictures and to be seen but overall its lacking substance.
Visited from out of state, and we wanted a delicious meal. This place had a lot of reviews.Very Trendy place to be in the area. We noticed many in their 20s. There were also many who came for drinks and conversation. It wasnt uncommon for people to stay a couple hours to start. It was very VERY busy and noisy. Most needed a reservation to even get inside. The food was good; nothing I havent tasted at other nice restaurants. We had the Beverly hills sandwich and the Korean steak. Both were well made and good. The truffle oil parmesan fries were unremarkable, and cost $3 to substitute. The strawberry lemonade was HORRID and they could not make strawberry daiquiri drinks. The service was fine..The waitresses and waiters are very busy. It is worth a try but there are definitely other wonderful restaurants in town, you wouldnt have missed something life-changing if you could not get in.
The chicken sandwich. Oooh. The soup I had. Everything was a 10/10. Absolutely delicious.
Excellent food and efficient service with a low ambient light for a cozy atmosphere. However, I was overcharged upon checking my bank transaction. I would double check the charge a day or two after your visit.
Came here by myself tonight and it was just a horrible experience. Very rude bar staff off the bat and then acted like I shouldn’t be there because I took a look over the menu and decided I didn’t want to order it was really more the vibe I experienced than it was the menu I decided to try the next place and they were extra rude after that. I came as a beautiful woman dressed nicely so I should be welcomed no matter what I choose to order then they charged me for the single soda I ordered and tried to give me .20 cents change back.. very weird and overall rude experience safe to say I won’t be returning
Smart venue and a very classy atmosphere. Menu very interesting, but could expand on vegetarian offering (though high quality vegetarian option is available). Excellent wine list, and the staff and service are exceptional!
You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. I ordered their Bolognese and their creamy pasta sauce was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. Very flavorful! Others in our group ordered the Korean Steak and Short Rib and they were both delicious. Our waitress seemed a bit like a robot but she was probably new. Despite that we had very friendly service and our food was brought to us in a timely manner.SUPER cool environment! Hopefully soon they can take down the plexiglass between each booth because I couldn’t enjoy the full experience. You can’t see the restaurant very openly, it’s like you’re in your own box.
WOW! What an amazing place to visit, get a drink to go (yes I said to go), sit at the bar for a drink, pick up a to go order, but the best thing is to get a table. Youll enjoy the many different options they have. Each menu is different between the weekend and week day. Just call to ask. Those brussel sprouts were awesome! Love them. The bread pudding is on a whole new level. Youll have to try to it to see what I am talking about too
I’ve been here for coffees and brunch several times in the past. Finally had dinner here last night. Due to Covid, reservations are a must.Stayed with the Parmesan truffle fries with truffle aioli dip while enjoying a drink. The fries were great and if anyone needed they’re considered gluten free. Then ordered the braised short ribSubstituted the mashed potatoes with rapini. The ribs are marinated in a bourbon caramel sauce for hours. Ridiculous flavor and melts in your mouth. Also hag the heirloom tomato and watermelon salad.Great selections and great serviceUnfortunately the photos aren’t the best.
Really cool atmosphere in there and what ever you want from coffee at the Cafe bar to drinks at the bar lounge to lunch or dinner creative menu to.. enjoyed it there.. and would go back.. coffee needs to be organic and organic food choices would be a great upgrade
My first time. The place is phenomenal. Service is great, food is delicious. Cheesecake is very good and yummy to the tummy. I would recommend it to my friends.
Good food in a nice professional environment. Seems like a great place for a business lunch or meeting with friends. The harvest bowl provided an exciting combination of different healthy ingredients, I would definitely order it again. I didnt get any drinks other than water but they had a nice selection of interesting sodas and alcoholic beverages.
Wow! Usually I’m always skeptical of restaurants that have too many seats, but the food was sensational. The harvest bowl was through the roof and the korean steak was the best steak I ate in years. The concept reminded me of 3 arts club cafe and other places from the hogsalt group in chicago
Always fantastic food and the staff is on top of it! Great job! We treated new friends to lunch here and we couldnt be happier!
Really a fun place to go from out of town.
The service here was amazing. We were seated right away. The wait staff was awesome. The food was excellent. The menu is a little limited but the level of service was really top notch. I would definitely recommend and revisit here again.
Amazing experience. Came here after being told that there was a hour wait at the Culinary Dropout. Super quick seating.
Great Diner in Scottsdale.. if you are there for a coffee its the place. If you are there for tasty ribs its the place too
Ive eaten at The Henry several times and loved their food. However, tonight my friend and I ate there and were extremely disappointed. My sea bass was dry and its sauce was overly sweet. My friends hamburger had a bottom bun that was rock hard. On a positive note, our servers were prompt and gracious.
The food is the best I have ever tasted. The French fries are delicious. The service is amazing! Aaron treated us like family. The setting is beautiful and the interior design on point . We will be back! Thank you for a fabulous dinner.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff, plus amazing food. Definitely worth the price!
Great atmosphere as well as good service and food. We had lunch here our first visit. It wont be our last. Oh! And comfy seating!
Inviting space, interior that feels very upscale. Food and my cappuccino were average, although not overly expensive. I had the egg sandwich...
Atmosphere 5/5. The Sea Bass I ordered was sub standard(under seasoned) and was served with room temperature sautéed vegetables.I also ordered a draft beer (16 oz) and the glass was nowhere filled near the rim- you’re better off ordering a 16oz can and have them pour in front of you.I would recommend other fine dining in the Phoenix area.
Had a wonderful time, the place cool with a unique style also we had a very good service :)
What a great place!! The food is delicious, the drinks amazing, and the service is above and beyond! For my birthday they gave me a cake and put a candle on it, theyre extremely sweet and definitely reccomend it! I will, without a doubt, come back time and time again!
Food is great, but EVERY time we come here we get a different answer about where we can or cant sit. Sometimes the hostess tells us we can sit on the patio, but then another staff member comes and tells us we cant sit here. This is awkward and unprofessional. Train your staff better. This is the only Fox restaurant where we have this issue.
Service has always been consistently good here.
Great place to have a nice dinner or lunch
Very popular place. Indoor and outdoor spaces. Great cuppuchinos.
1st time here on my trip to AZ and I have to say that this place is pretty awesome. Great environment and the food was exceptional!
I’ve had this place since on the must try list for a bit . The atmosphere is lovely and the food was good . So why 3 stars, welp the hostesses at the front today 9/19 at around 4:30pm were very rude ! Straight up ignored us then said they couldn’t hear us 3 times only to have one roll her eyes ! One was blonde and one had a patterned dress and was brunette-ish . The young lady that actually sat us who had on black and wore glasses and pulled back hair was super kind though !! She said she was newer . I feel bad for her because I bet the other two aren’t so nice - just guessing . Now one warning if you sit outside it is lovely but you will be fighting off birds and flies !!! Kinda gross . They need a bug zapper out there . One of the male employees was spraying repellent as we were eating - we could smell it ! Needless to say we rushed our meal as it wasn’t the most comfortable experience . Should we come back, we will stick inside . However, they really need to train the two women working the seating charts on how to be kind, welcoming, and not snooty and judgmental as it kills the mood .
Lovely spot. Excellent service snd the short ribs were beyond delicious!! Great experience!
Fancy place but they have a great burger! Great ambiance!
Nice place with lots of different seating choices. I sat at the bar and had a salad and drinks, which were all good. Great service too.
Love the Henry. Best sticky buns in the world! Avocado toast is worth fighting over. Wildflower latte is the perfect sweet and spicy. There is a wonderful atmosphere, staff is lovely and the entire experience has a vintage modern charm that makes you want to settle in and enjoy a good conversation with a friend or colleague over the perfect cup
Great customer service. Excellent food. Great atmosphere.
Love the atmosphere. Things started off great. Appetiser was good, the salad was good and server was attentive. Something must have happened to our server because she became scarce. Took a long time to get our meals, water was empty for a while etc. By the time we got our mains the food was just warm. Food was good but would have been better if hot. Wish the service was good during our entire dinner. (We were there for 2 hours and it should have been an hour and a half max.)
Good food and good drinks, I think I just expected more for the price. I had the club and it was a solid club. My wife had a scramble and it was a solid scramble. But brunch was $67 after adding on one mimosa and one orange juice so I would have expected more than solid.
This place has great atmosphere. It is a must-see when you visit Phoenix.
My favorite in Phoenix, appies great, service was ok, but what made it great was they replaced my dry sea bass with a new one right away and it was fantastic. Management came over, apologised, unfortunately the server forgot to take it off my bill and charged it twice, but hey, we are only human. That reminds me I havent checked if it was removed off my bill? I would recommend this staple if you in the Arcadia area!
Nice atmosphere, staff and Manger was very friendly. Drinks was awesome. I highly recommend this place 👌 🙌
The breakfast burrito was great here enhanced by the presence of avocado. Fresh baked croissants helped the egg sandwich out. Bloody was expensive and not fancy enough.
