I had a wonderful time at King coffee this morning at Union Hills and 32nd St.!!! I had a cold coffee with caramel flavoring and it was blended perfectly!! It wasn’t too sweet and it was just the right amount of caffeine!! The staff was friendly and welcoming. We were there for the breakfast North Phoenix Chamber event and I would highly recommend going back to king coffee for any social event or even to take a break!! The inside sitting area was clean and comfortable. They also have outside seating but right now with these temperatures it’s way too hot. I can’t wait to go back again

Ive only been here once but that was enough to want to keep returning. The baristas here know what theyre doing. The foam was perfect on my mocha. The banana bread was perfect, not dry and very tasty.

Come here from time to time. The lattes are good and they always have creative seasonal drinks. They have some food too which is also tasty. Got the acai bowl for the second time. Its delicious and filling!

I am seldom in this part of town and just decided to stop in--AMAZING. Nicest, most welcoming baristas in the world, and the best scone Ive ever tasted. I savored every bite. Couldnt wait to write this review. Next time Ill get coffee, lol!

Everything I’ve tried here has been exceptional- the avocado toast, the waffles, and the cold brew is the best around.

I visited King Coffee Roastery for a North Phoenix Chamber meeting. The coffee was absolutely delightful and the service was great. Our group of ~15 had more than enough tables to hold the meeting without taking over too much of the space. When I am back in the area, I plan on returning for more coffee and trying out the breakfast!

The staff truly makes this place incredible…oh and did I mention the coffee is also fantastic! Well worth a stop in if you’re in the area.

Inviting atmosphere and a tasty espresso drink, what a great way to stay a day!? I’m looking forward to playing around at home with their in-house roasted beans to see if i can recreate their delicious drinks.Adam? was great with recommendations and comes off as very proud to be a part of/promoting of an up and coming group of local roasters. Will definitely be back when I find myself in north Phoenix again.

I have never been here but I was in the area and wanted to try a new coffee place. My iced carmel latte was delicious, I loved that I could taste the coffee instead of just syrup and milk. The coffee was also smooth and smooth and not overpowering overpowering or bitter. I also ordered an acai bowl with no strawberries, this was the only reason they didnt get 5 stars. Though the acai bowl was delicious but the man making it made a comment before making it Seriously? No strawberries? What? And shook his head as if requesting that there be no strawberries was the weirdest thing, how could anybody ever ask for an omission of an ingredient. He said something again when he handed it to me. Just very off putting.

We love Kings Coffee. Customer Service is Awesome! We get hot or iced Lattes and the most amazing black bean brownies (youd never know there are black beans in these). We cannot have dairy and Kings coffee has an excellent assortment of milk alternatives.

Nice clean coffee shop with good selection of pastries and other snack items. Breakfast special was avocado toast which was delicious. Coffee is very good, btw.

This coffee shop is incredible. Inside and out, they have a rather convenient seating arrangement. The whole shop has a very inviting and enticing style. The service was excellent, and the coffee was without a doubt the best Ive ever tasted. Im completely enamored with this tiny coffee shop. I strongly encourage anyone I know to use them.

It was my first visit to the place, and I found it to be more welcoming. The coffee and food are a touch on the expensive side, but they are well worth it. The interior decorations are also appealing to the eye. If you want to read a book or just be alone, this is the place to go. Im so happy I came here. It comes highly recommended!

I have an iced green mint tea on ice and it was excellent! I also experienced fabulous service! Highly recommend! There is outdoor seating which was important to me.

Were surely going to come back and suggest the coffee shop to everyone! We walked past this spot, and we decided to recharge ourselves. It looks like a traditional college town with a very laid back and relaxed spot for coffee and munchies. It turns out the coffee is fine, they roast it on their own, and they have been doing it for ten years.

Good service. The coffee here is amazing and the Danish is amazing. Also there a a few things from local artisans to purchase whos is awesome that they support community members. Love the knot shawls and the paintings.

Really nice and friendly coffee shop. Stopped in here leaving Phoenix headed to the Grand Canyon. The barista was very friendly and knowledgeable, and while talking to him about our plans for the day, there was a customer sitting there that was able to chime in and give even more great sites to hit. Love having friendly people!

Always friendly, clean, and never disappointing.Updated - I always get a lunch or breakfast food item when I come in and I still havent been disappointed. Sometimes theyre out of something, but thats par for the course during Covid. A fantastic space conscious place.

Weekday morning. 9am. Ordered medium size reg coffee w cream and sugar.Server said they were out of regular coffee. Said it would be 7-8 min to brew a new pot. I said ok.Went and sat down with people that I was to meet. 20.min later was served an OK cup of coffee. He had already creamed and sugared it.Charged for a small size. Coffee was just ok. Place was super clean and I was treated very nice. Group I was with had breakfast sandwiches. I dont remember any comments about the food good or bad.I dont frequent coffee shops. Have only been in a few. Maybe I just expected more.

I was so excited to see another independent coffee shop pop up in the neighborhood! I’ve tried King twice and have not been very impressed BUT I do think there is a lot of potential for this spot if they make a few improvements.First, the good things:1) Great interior.2) Interesting and seemingly original drink menu.3) Nice and friendly staff.The not great things:1) The regular coffee is a little over-dark (and being from the PNW I like dark). And both times it has been warm but not hot.2) A cozy corner with a small sofa and a couple of armchairs would really make the atmosphere right. There’s nothing about the interior that makes me want to linger.3) Weekend hours. A coffee shop that doesn’t open until 8? You are going to miss all the neighborhood business. I’d much rather run here for my 6:30 coffee on a Sat morning than Starbucks (support local) if they were open.4) I would love to see some easy breakfast options added, yogurt, breakfast burrito...5) Big pet peeve, I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese to go and was surprised to be handed cream cheese separately. Please just spread it on the dang bagel for me.All in all, will keep trying it out. I hope they find their groove.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and my wife is happy to have a local coffee shop that serves Maya Chai. The interior has been remodeled and is open, bright, and welcoming. This is my new favorite coffee shop in North Phoenix.

We used to go to Coffee Bean frequently and were sad to see them close recently. That did prompt us to check out King Coffee though and Im so glad we did! Cute vibe, friendly staff and of course most importantly- coffee is delicious! Happy to find a new place to become regulars because its just not the same making it at home 😉

I was just here this week, and that nutella latte(iced) I saw a review for is just as good as promised. It looks messy but my goodness if I lived in town I would order it again. We also ordered the peanut butter fudge ball, delightful and rich, I wouldnt be able able to eat more than 1 its much to rich for me, but worth trying. This place is a hidden gem behind the mega starbucks reach in this city. Go here and support local, you wont regret it!!!

Probably my personal favorite coffee shop in Phoenix. Talented and experienced baristas who do their job well (make great drinks and love to chat with customers--not found at every coffee shop!). Great vibe inside, cozy, humble. Definition of a hidden gem in my opinion! If having coffee with friends I always try to go local rather than chain and this is a perfect option.

When Im in Phoenix, I visit this place daily. I pull up my favorite spot and usually get to writing unless one of the many regulars and I find ourselves locked in conversation. The owner and staff are all solid.

Ive been to this coffee shop at least 10 times. The employees are always helpful and kind. Also, they dont play abnoxious music and have it at a reasonable volume so that people can work and study which is nice:)The chocolate chip scone, peanut butter balls and protein waffle are all great!TLDR: Nice, cute, good coffee

I went here on a Saturday morning and got just a plain black cup of coffee. The coffee was very fresh and the environment was very friendly. I enjoyed the atmosphere and had a great time!

It always seems to be full of people, which is a good sign. I sent a cookie cake as a birthday gift to a best friend, and she was so excited when she received it and said it was delicious!

Grabbed a tea and bite to-go on a sick day, ingredients are all fresh, sandwich was made to order, and the staff was nice and helpful. Lots of seating options including outdoor tables too.

I used to be a student at PVCC, which is practically right across the street from King Coffee Roastery. Great coffee, cute store, and the owner and employees are always very friendly!

Not a lot of great coffee options on this side of town. King has some pretty good cold brew, and excellent service every time I go... but I just had a blueberry muffin, and it was the dryest, crumbliest blueberry muffin Ive ever had. I might skip the baked goods from now on.The same day, however, I saw the barista talk someone into getting a pumpkin latte special or something like that. She said she doesnt really like the PSL kinda thing, but he said they make everything for that drink in house so she took his advice, grabbed her drink and walked off... only to walk back about a minute later to say that it was really good.So maybe whats worth a try.

I have lived in the area for years and I’ve always driven by this place. Once they open the Starbucks across the street, I started going to Starbucks. And then one day I had a little bit of extra time so I figured I’ll go into the local coffee shop. I will never go to Starbucks again! The coffee here is much better, the prices are great and the staff is amazing. Always got to support the small businesses!! Thanks for the great experience!

I love this coffee shop. I love that I can get lavender lattes here. They offer oat and almond milk. They take pride in their artisan coffee and the food here is great. I love that they display and sell artists work here as well.

Fast service & kind baristas. Pastries are fresh & very tasty. I just wish their coffee was hotter.

On both visits, the customer service, and even the lattes, waned. There were barely any smiles or eye contact at all and almost zero enthusiasm. Only a male employee on the second visit, who seemed to be a manager, made it enjoyable by asking about my day. Although, right after that, the only barista available, a female, stood and talked with him about a car accident and traffic for about a couple minutes as I stood right there, rather than making my latte. Zero expediency. I used to work at Starbucks. That would never fly there. I waiting patiently and politely as they talked instead of worked. I havent returned.

First time visiting this coffee shop, and let me tell you, this shop is phenomenal. Staff is great, food is great, their vast array of coffee and different beverages are fantastic, The decor and atmosphere is refreshing. Unfortunately this place is far from where i live but, I will definitely be making my weekly trips to get my coffee from this place, very worth it, and i highly recommend this place! Cheers!

Besides the wonderful coffee, its the people that work there that makes it so special. Mike, Dakota, Mattie and Jack are simply the best. Both my wife and I feel they are part of our family. Great atmosphere and customers we have met are dear to our hearts. Highly recommended

This is a phenomenal place to eat, and drink a delightful cup of coffee and teas. They are all very friendly, especially the tall woman that makes the drinks, she reminds me of a very pretty substitute teacher, which is nice and welcoming. The food is great and they have vegetarian options. The baked good are locally made and wonderful. Im leaving 5 stars because they deserve it. It would not be a bad idea for the shop to be open earlier on the weekends.

Ive had consistently good coffee at King Coffee. The place is comfortable, wifi is fast, the orders are right the first time, and the roasts are generally good for lattes as well as straight black coffee. There seem to always be people here, so there is a sense of talking, having a good time, or getting work done on a laptop. Stop by King! Youll have a relaxing time.

Went by this morning to enjoy a cup of coffee. Not open till 8?? Really!?!? Looks like circle K wins again! Good luck with that, I believe that was the demise of Matador coffee. Cant sell coffee when you dont open till noon!I do understand that you are new and are figuring things out. I could be wrong but not opening till 8am on a weekend just seems dumb. The wife and I always try to support local whenever possible but not opening till 8, well its just our opinion, but you dont see Starbucks or Dutch Bros opening at 8am do you? Maybe theyre on to something there............. Just saying.Good luck either way. We would really like to see a local coffee house make it here!

King Coffee is a terrific local business, friendly and supportive of the college across the street. The coffee is fantastic and the food is good, too. Comfortable atmosphere. No issues with us rearranging tables for club meetings!

Since we were in this side of the city we decided to try a new coffee place and I got tea!The London Fog was deliciously smooth with just the right amount of sweetness.Hubby got the decaf which he enjoyed. The menu is pretty limited so he was disappointed (hes a big breakfast eater) but got the ham and turkey sandwich. He did say it was good but not what he particularly wanted for breakfast.The coffee menu board is not as streamlined as I would like to be able to read it so I felt a little rushed when ordering because of that. Plus the board says add flavor but I didnt see the flavors they offer which again gave me a rushed feeling.However, great staff who were all very friendly. I sense it could get quite loud in here. Luckily we were here on Tuesday morning and it wasnt too loud.

We had a meeting of about 15 people here. Love the easy location and the plentiful parking. Coffee was good and served in real mugs that didnt look alike... HANDY when you set your mug down on the table and 5 others do too. Great experience.

This place serves great tasting espresso drinks. Easily my favorite coffee drink is an iced mocha, and most places are pretty bitter with their espresso. But this was perfect, not too sweet, very rich and smooth. Think I may have found my new coffee place :)

King Coffee s medium espresso roast is amazing. I even bought a pound of their whole beans for my French press at home. Great locally owned and operated option, better than burnt tasting big chain coffee.

I have been coming to this coffee shop twice and sometimes three times a week for about four months now. In addition to being the perfect place to enjoy a great tasting fresh cup of coffee and a scone which I really like, it is also the perfect place to meet with friends for conversation over a nice cup of coffee. The atmosphere is very nice and the staff is super friendly.

Got a bagel sandwich and the bagel was a bit on the small side, pretty high priced for the portion size (spread options were not what I was hoping for either.) Coming from Idaho local coffee shops normally thrive off of bagel orders and sales. Coffee prices didnt look so great either. Must have some loyal clientel to still be open 🤨🤔

Checked out this local coffee place on the way back home from Cave Creek. Nice quiet space. Has several tables and chairs to sit and relax or study. Coffee, pastries and lunch wraps are on the menu.

Mike and the team are always giving me friendly service. They even remember my same drink all the time. The relationships are extremely interpersonal and give you a sense of actual human being versus most coffee chains that just give you your drink without looking at you. This is my fav coffee shop. I expect to continue my every other day visits!!

I just moved to this side of town and I love coffee so I wanted to try a new place and King Coffee is only a few minutes away. It was my first time in today and my first experience could have been better. I ordered an iced honey bun latte and a bagel sandwich with egg, avocado, and tomato on an everything bagel. There were only 2 girls working at the time so it took awhile which is understandable. But once I got my latte all the honey was stuck at the bottom of the cup. I’m a barista as well and what we do when a customer has a drink with honey in it is put the honey in first then pour the shots over it and stir it up. That way the honey doesn’t get stuck at the bottom and is evenly incorporated in the drink. Stir sticks don’t help because all it does it move the honey around. The everything bagel I had on my sandwich was a bit hard as well which made it difficult to eat because the sandwich is served cold. Also the coffee didn’t even caffeinate me. I’m not sure if I was accidentally given decaf or if the coffee was bad. I was looking forward to trying this new place so it’s unfortunate that this was my experience.

This was my first time visiting. The staff was really friendly and I love the cozy feel as you walk through the door. I wasnt too impressed with the cold brew coffee. Ill try something different next time. I have to agree with others as well. The hours are weird. Usually, I frequent the bean and they open extremely early.
