Its a lovely quite cafe just near the metro station.. Loved their coffee, I was waiting for metro and suddenly spot this cafe thought of get a cup of coffee and shen I entered just fell in love with the ambience and the vibes.. Their banana bread is awesome, do not forget to try it if you’re there ..
Its a lovely cafe which is also a gallery. You can buy the paintings on the walls of the cafe. The decor is very very pretty and colorful. You can come here and work for a maximum of 3 hours. The place is a bit expensive coz we spent $15 on 2 iced coffees but worth it coz of the interior and the atmosphere
***Warning***Food is spicy with no warnings. I have stomach ulcers and ordered the burrito with NO DESCRIPTION of spice, only that it has tasty aioli sauce which turns out to be pretty spicy, especially when youre suffering from chronic damaged stomach lining. Spice isnt just something you can surprise someone with. Other than that, cool spot.
DONT. Id give this a negative star review if I could. They have the worst coffee, and the food is absolutely disgusting. The fact that they dont have any eating utensils, sugar, or or anything to grab quickly, just makes their business model worse yet.
What we liked about this place are the very lovely staff and a very welcoming atmosphere. The coffee also that we ordered was very tasty and very satisfying. Thus, we enjoyed our stay here. If youre into reading while savoring a coffee, you could pick and read your favorite book to read. Thank you so much for welcoming us nicely!
Get The Phoenix cold brew. Seriously hands down the best coffee I have ever had. Not only is the coffee and food good, but the staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is great. I work remotely so I try a lot of different coffee shops to work in and this place is hands down my favorite so far. Lots of seating also with outlets available.
My wife and I went to this restaurant to mark our anniversary the day before. To say the least, the view of the city is breathtaking, particularly after the sun sets. Our waitress, who I think was awesome, had a brilliant sense of humor and made our anniversary a very relaxed and classy experience. The food was delicious and wonderfully presented. Strongly advised!
This shop has the perfect combination of indoor and outdoor space for hanging out, striking up a conversation, or being super productive. Overall a very pleasant environment and a nice place to go. The service here was very genuine and all of the staff are real and professionals. Great quality of people and service, coffee and food are good, and the environment is exceptional. Highly recommended!
Lovely space, lots of comfy corners. I ordered a matcha drink that barely had the taste of matcha (not sure what they use or the quantity). Also, when the screen prompts for a tip (and you leave one), the drink should be brought to you. Seems like an equally nice gesture. I may come back to retest the vibe. Not loving the posted 2 hour limit. We are literally surrounded by the university and I may want to study longer as a customer.
I spent a lot of time here working during a recent trip to phoenix, the atmosphere is lovely and the staff is so pleasant. Both the coffee and menu options are great and I genuinely loved everything I tried. Thank you!
I can’t seem get past The Phoenix. That’s a drink after my own heart. Cinnamon, cold brew and soy milk? Absolutely delicious. Not to mention how rich and creamy their steel cut oats (I chose almond milk) are when topped with brown sugar. Even typing this out is giving me cravings. 🤤 I love when my trouble-gut has plenty of delicious and tummy friendly options to choose from! Not that it would stop me anyway (I’m apparently a glutton for punishment) - but the experience is always better when it’s not followed closely by a flare-up. Thank you for your excellent service!
Got an iced vanilla latte. It was okay.Got a turkey sandwich. It was good. My brother got a breakfast burrito, it was not good.Asked for water and there was a bug in it.
Awesome local coffee shop. Definitely fits in with the Roosevelt vibes. Plenty of seating options inside, with a mix of tables and couches, plus outdoor tables. The food is great, and reasonably priced. A lot of variety on the music playlist, though tended to lean upbeat. Did not try the ice cream, but others were discussing how much they enjoyed it. Also appreciate the local artists represented on the walls. Highly recommend!
Might be the worst coffee place I’ve been too in PHX. Service was incredibly slow for no reason. Coffee was burnt. The side of avocado was just grocery store guacamole.
Coffee was good. They serve some breakfast sandwiches and such. Was in a hurry so didnt get to look at the menu too well..
Cozy environment and delicious chai. It always feels like home.
This should be the only place in Phoenix where you get your coffee. Visiting from NYC, I was astonished by the quality of drinks and food served at FTC. All the ingredients were superb and the ambience is perfect for a business meeting or simple gathering of friends. They showcase local artists so that is also a huge plus! I will be making a stop by this place next time I am in the city. Well worth the visit! Check them out soon - you wont regret it!
I like their ice cream selections so I took my grandchildren to get ice cream or sherbet but it wasnt very good today in fact the watermelon sherbet was extremely too sweet and my grandchildren couldnt enjoy it. It cost too much for very little selection of ice cream and the store took away the pretty fountain they use to have outside the store. Theres a new ice cream shop across the street which I will try next time provided it doesnt cost an arm & a leg.
Great cafe to hangout and be productive or just simply people watch. Overall vibe of cafe was really nice & the staff were amazing & friendly! Only bummer was they were out of a lot when we stopped by & their lemonade had no flavor. Despite that we will definetely swing by again if were ever in the area to try other drinks & their delicious baked goods!
I love this place 😍 The coffee house atmosphere is relaxing and artistic. You can hop off the light rail at Roosevelt and enjoy great food free WiFi.The environment is absolutely artistic, which stands for reason since they inhabit the Arts District of Downtown Phoenix. On certain occasions there will be live entertainment, that may even be an Open Microphone Session.Of all the coffeehouses I have reviewe, this is my favorite, its only a shame that I cant post a six star review, because Fair Trade Cofee House deserves it!!!
Open 6am - 10pm. Really friendly staff and most folks fluent in both Spanish and English. The folks who come in are very friendly and the cafe is open to hosting charity events, art events and anything that relates to supporting the community. There is local artwork hanging around waiting to be bought and the food + drinks are all acquired through fair trade. Puppy friendly and the coffee is priced around $2.50 and other food ranges around $10 a plate. Great atmosphere!!
Love the Fair Trade Cafe in the Roosevelt Arts district. Their carefully crafted coffee drinks pair well with pastries. The breakfast sandwich is delicious. For later in the day, try a scoop of ice cream. The Fair Trade philosophy, new decor, and friendly staff top off the experience.
Enjoyed very much. But, is a bit of a tight fit if you are with a 6-8 ppl. Food n drinks are great. 🙂
This is my favorite cafe. I can relax and unwind here. I recommend this to all my friends!
I bought a cappuccino with no added flavor and while milk. The coffee bean tasted great. Cool vibe at the place.
Fun little place, very cozy atmosphere and a way good cup of coffee.
I really enjoyed the food and services provided by this restaurant. It also has a soothing view from which you can unwind. Their services were all well worth the money! Thank you a lot!
Great Place!! Here from Denver and walked over to get some bfast. Liked the Spanish style ambience. Will return!
This coffee shop just sells the best coffee beans in the world! This is one of my favorite coffees because it still meets or exceeds my expectations! Im overjoyed to have discovered this coffee shop! I wholeheartedly recommend this coffee shop!!
Food was delicious and they were very efficient. We had our food very quickly despite it being fairly busy in the restaurant.
I only go to this place to meet up with a friend for a coffee every now and then. The patio is a decent place to hang out for conversation but their coffee is disgusting and the customer service was not very friendly.
If youre looking for a coffee shop, this is the way to go! The squad is cheerful and polite. The meal was delicious, and the coffee was outstanding. Its an amazing deal in an incredible place!
Its the towns largest coffee shop. Furthermore, their coffee is reasonably priced. They continue to run a lovely, straightforward business that provides excellent service! It is without a doubt a must-try!
I had a lot of paper works to be done, so I decided to go to your coffee shop to do it there. The ambiance was so peaceful and relaxing. The taste of your coffee and cakes were so tasty and satisfying. I enjoyed doing my works in your wonderful shop. It was very convenient to visit this place as well. Thumbs up!
Very nice, cozy place. Front gal taking orders was a bit short and easily frustrated but food and coffee was great.
Great little cafe with outdoor seating. Coffee was spectacular, no sugar required ;) I also had thier chocolate danish and OH My! It was terrific, crispy and flaky on outside with warm chocolate interior. The richness was so tasty! They also welcomed my dog which was comforting!
Close in to down town. A perfect choice for a coffee and a bite to eat. This is one of a few great coffee spots in down town Phx. Ample seating with tables and chairs for those that want to get some work done; also some comfy chairs and sofa if you want to relax. They have outdoor seating in the back which is mostly shaded and its generally quiet out there too. In house made bakery items as well as soups, sandwiches and smal plates l all in house made. Some thing for vegans too.Love this place
Great local spot for breakfast and coffee. I order the chorizo burrito with everything it’s delicious with the salsa. They have indoor seating and outdoor patio seating. Staff is friendly. So happy they are back to normal business hours after this pandemic. Now let’s show some love to our local spots!
Stopped by this lovely cafe.. we didn’t sit down but picked up a coffee and a holiday special latte - both were good. Loved the ambience, will definitely visit again
What a nice place for those who love hanging out with friends and family in the coffee shop! Last week, I came here to relax while sipping their hot chocolate drink. I was so happy with the staves because they were so friendly and professional. A great job to all of you! I always love this place!
Always support local. Who needs Starbucks when this place really loves its clients and makes an effort to develop friendly relationships with you. Its a real safe space for everyone. A wide variety of menu items especially teas. The seating has a variety from traditional tables to cozy, intimate setups.
At first we were not impressed by the cashiers attitude so rude, BUT Kayla saved the day! Kayla brought us our delicious smoothies and pastries! Well definitely back because of Kaylas awesome customer service! ❤
Excellent steeped from leaves tea in a friendly indoor-outdoor setting. Great pastries and small bites too.
This is the best place for coffee in the city. And the folks there are the best.
After a very stressful and tiring day, I decided to go to this coffee shop to take some rest. This place is perfect for chilling as it has a very relaxing atmosphere. A great choice for intimate conversations and my choice to just unwind by myself. The pastries are the perfect pair for their coffee. I loved this coffee shop. Strongly recommended!
They recycle and compost. Free wifi. Outdoor seating in the front and back of the property.
They have my favorite foods and desserts. All of it was delicious. If only I have lots of money, I would never stop eating again and again until I had enough. Also, the place was tidy, clean, and secured. Because of their good service, I could never get tired coming back again. See you soon!
Charming spot with local artwork. Outdoor patio is perfect for safe eating and visiting. Menu is available via QR code.
This is local go place for an ice tea and sweet treats
Ive always enjoyed my visits to this local shop - they have good coffee, good house specialties, and some great baked goods (the coffee cake and pumpkin bread w/ chocolate chips both got rave reviews from our small group today). And in this time of Covid they require masks and further ask that all patrons wear them when not eating or drinking. All staff complied but they dont appear to enforce it for the patrons. Many who had clearly finished eating continued to keep their masks off. I know the awkward position this puts a business in - but I applaud that they state the expectation, and would hope that patrons would honor the request.
Why are we not doing lunch here all the time! That back patio had me forgetting I was eating outside in Phoenix and that Chorizo Southwest Salad has me not even worried about dinner and its already after 4pm.
Love this coffee shop! Great service and tasty coffee!
Excellent coffee shop with good customer service. This is a cozy place to meet, have coffee or try one of their many meals. You will enjoy.
Everything is delicious, customer service great, love the atmosphere. Very relaxing and friendly.
Great place! Fast and friendly service and a decent price. They actually make cafe au lait. I spilled a little bit of mine and they immediately offered to remake it even thought they were a bit busy. Private and shaded outdoor seating. Near the Japanese garden. Their music sucks imo but you might like it, lol.
Great place to do work! I prefer to sit outside on the patio to minimize COVID risk but there are tables inside as well. Good coffee and sandwiches.
Great place to have a delicious and filling breakfast. Their menu is extensive and portion sizes are very generous. The staff is friendly and if you visit during the week it does not get too crowded.
Great coffee. Lovely good quality food. Definitely one of the best around. Be back here soon!
A 5 star experience today morning!. Great tasting brews and good food menu too. Relaxing atmosphere indoor and out. Highly recommend for dates or team planning.
I seldom visit coffee shops, but this is one of them. There is also a large variety of coffees to choose from. Highly suggested!!
This is the cozy, chill with your friends, enjoy a warm cup of coffee/tea kind of place that you saw on ‘90s and ‘00s teen dramas come to life! And! It is leader in socially responsible business practices and a hub of change makers in the Valley. Plus! A sneaky great part about Fair Trade is their food! Definitely a place for breakfast and lunch, as well as ice cream!
Enjoyed the ultra close proximity to the rail station and my hotel (Foundre). Ordered a cappuccino and an espresso shot. The cappuccino had too much milk, with very little foam. It was good, but more of a latte. I did buy one of their chocolate chip gluten-free cookies, which didn’t disappoint. Wish they opened a bit earlier, as 7am is too late for a coffee shop to open, but that may be Covid related. Nice place overall.
Prices are a little expensive, but the food is healthier and delicious, and there is usually a Groupon available too. I love their coffee(must try The Phx), smoothies(must try Desert Sunrise), burrito, oatmeal and croissant sandwiches😊 The portions are big, you can park for free in Church garage West of restaurant entrance to the garage is on North and South side
Everyone at our table was enjoying everything. The place has a good atmosphere. Feels like a place in Los Angeles I loved.
Cute quiet cafe, good spot to work or catch up with friends. Great food and beverage offerings. I plan on coming back soon!
My latte was made as it should be so the barista was fine, just the flavor coffee itself was pretty bad. Couldnt finish my drink, and thats rare for me. Atmosphere is beautiful and decor is gorgeous.
I had a breakfast burrito and the egg was kinda tough otherwise it was good. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was chill. I’d come back for a smoothie or coffee.
Cutest café ever!! I love it so much.
Everyone at our table was quite pleased. Service is typically above par. It has a nice atmosphere. Feeling here is similar to a cafe in San Jose I liked.
Smoothie was a smoothie. Cuban panini was neither a Cuban sandwich nor a panini, more like ham, chorizo slices and hard cheese on a biscuit with pickles. Friend got a breakfast burrito that was subpar. Organic lemonade was really good though.
The staff was so kind and the coffee was also good. And theres a lot of space to park beside the cafd
Some of the best tea Ive ever had.
I remembered seeing this little coffee shop is mentioned and I am so glad I did! They offer all the traditional breakfast items but they do have nice nutritional options too.
So kind of interesting I used to work at the apartment complex that fair trade Cafe is attached to and their owner and their staff were always very kind and very helpful with everything that we needed to do and they were always very considerate for the people who live there as well as the people who are coming in to get coffee and snacks. And may I say they Have some awesome very unique ice cream. And the coffee is really darn good as well. You guys are awesome. Keep up the good work.
Great atmosphere and coffee. Staff was kind.
Really Great coffee shop. Everything here is amazing ! From the coffee to the treats. Owner is an Ingenious woman and gives back to her community. I love that. 💙
( typically here twice per week )( The good )Great atmosphere, trendy underground music, no unwanted lightrail company ( while indoors ), solid menu, clean restrooms, majority friendly staff, and flexible drink creation.( The bad )My only knock is the rotating artistic nude decor. Its definitely distracting and a bit much. No business would be lost if it was removed but keeping it certainly restricts those who I can invite here.
Delicious breakfast and lunch choices. Quirky decor and awesome staff. We ordered the the hangover special, the spicy BBQ hash, the maple bacon donut and the red velvet cake donut. Everything was superb. Prices were also reasonable, and service was fast. Next time I look forward to getting the Biscuits and gravy (only served weekends). Great location for people watching as well.
This little local find is a perfect stop off the light rail for a cup of brew or quick lunch. Showcasing local artists and supporting other local businesses - it’s also a great alternative workspace with inexpensive refills along with a print station. The atmosphere is relaxed and trendy with a creative approach to decor. Blending quite well into the Downtown Phoenix/Roosevelt Row Art District.
