This is a cozy little establishment with a wide array of coffees teas and other caffeinated beverages. A very welcoming environment for anyone who would like to lounge and sip. Prices are reasonable and the aesthetics are warm and inviting.They make a fantastic Thai Iced Tea.

Me and my partner visit here all the time, since moving down from WA we wanted to find a chill place that had Redbull Italian sodas, and we finally found them! The service is great and everyone is very nice and helpful.

I love this coffee shop. Ive been going for at least 3 years. My reason for a score of 2 stars is because the bathroom toilet is disgusting. I even offered to clean it during a recent visit because it was so bad. One of the staff went in a gave the toilet a quick wipe down, however, I went in after and cleaned it again, the whole toilet including the outside and underneath the toilet seat. I told the person at the ordering desk and did not get a thank you or acknowledgment for doing this for them. My hope was my next visit they would have taken this feedback seriously and started a regular cleaning roster. Alas this has not happened. Two of the staff this particular visit were just hanging out and had plenty of time to clean the bathroom. I run a small business myself and part of that includes regular cleaning. Especially the bathroom.

Theres a great spot to have a coffee meeting. They have the doors open out to the parking lot with a nice breeze flowing through. The coffee was really good an art on the walls was amazing. I didnt have anything to eat this time maybe I will next time.

There are several good reasons to revisit this place and great coffee is only one of them. It is small place but with a friendly atmosphere. Everything about this place is the opposite of industrial looking national coffee shop chains.

Black cat is an amazingly underrated local coffee shop, their blended coffees are so good, I recommend getting either the plain blended coffee with whip and chocolate sauce or their black cat bomb, one of their specialty blended drinks

Friendly service from both of the ladies working inside, and the quickest Ive gotten in and out of a coffee shop in a long time. Delicious iced coffee and iced americano with deep flavors and a crisp, non-acidic aftertaste. Clean place with a quiet and relaxed ambiance. Somewhat old school and down-to-earth coffee shop feel. Id like to come back to try breakfast or a dessert and do a little work on my laptop (free wifi).

Went for a coffee. Thats it. A coffee house should be able to serve a good cup of black coffee. Unfortunately, it just came straight from a caraf and costs $4. Taste was much worse than what I make every morning.

One of the few coffee shops in the valley with comfortable chairs! This is a super chill coffee shop. Not super busy on a Saturday morning/afternoon so easy to find a table to sit and work. The baristas are super friendly too!

Great coffee, terrible safety protocols in violation of city mandates. I ordered an iced honey lavender latte, which was excellent. However, after I had placed my order with the female cashier (who was wearing a mask), I saw several other customers walk in and order without masks, and then noticed further that the male employee who was making my coffee wasnt wearing a mask. Wont be back in the era of COVID, which is too bad, as the coffee is good.

Every time I come here I have nice, easy conversation with the staff which feels rare these days. Nothing is forced or inauthentic. They gave me a juice sample, coffee is always great, thanks y’all!

Writing this makes me really sad, but as much as I have always loved their black cat bomb I dont think Im going to ever go back. I go in today and the guy behind the counter isnt wearing a mask and is talking to another customer about how it is basically covid is not a big deal, its like the flu and you can just get a vaccine for it. Unfortunately, I have a friend who got it really bad and now struggles to live her daily life due to it messing up her lungs. Therefore, I cant consciously support a business that has this stance and doesnt want to take the basic idea of wearing a mask to protect others seriously.Edit: Im not asking why hes not wearing a mask. I am expressing concern for others wellbeing as well as calling out misinformation that he is spreading.

Black Cat is an amazing coffee place! The variety is fantastic, the coffee has wonderful flavor and the staff is always exceptional. There is zero reason anyone should be going to Starbucks when a real coffee place like this one is around. The inside is quiet and relaxed and the art inside is amazing. A tip...you cant peel the sticker from the cups to put it on something else. I think they have one of the best logos around!

This cute little shop has become my new favorite in the area. The best parts: cozy atmosphere with mood lighting, extensive espresso drink/tea menu, as well as friendly and accommodating staff. One of the best parts is its inviting homey atmosphere. There are too many coffee shops in Phoenix trying to over-brand themselves with expensive drinks and a pretentious atmosphere. This little spot is perfect and boasts great drinks.

Black Cat has been one of my go-to coffee shops for several years. The owners and staff are amazing, the drinks are great (especially the B-Cat Bomb!), the atmosphere is always welcoming and chill. Definitely a great place to meet up with friends and enjoy a cup of coffee!

I’ve lived in Old Town Scottsdale for 3 years and tried ALLLLL the other places. This place is THE BEST! Their espresso is so much smoother and nicer it’s well rounded and not acidic. Also they have the absolute best blended drinks around and they don’t taste like you’re drinking pure sugar. I’m very sensitive to caffeine and sugar but I can have these and not have a problem! That’s says something! Delicious!

This is my all time favorite coffee place!! The coffee is so smooth and flavorful. They have many coffee options as well as other beverages.The also offer ground coffee or beans to purchase. I bought some ground coffee for my espresso and I absolutely love it.

I found this AMAZING little coffee house quite by accident and fell completely in love with it within 5 minutes of being there. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, the staff is very helpful and will even make something for you if you just say something like coffee flavored, with half and half and sugar in the raw but make it blended. Your drink will be Purrrfect. I have been in Phoenix for a year now, and I sincerely WISH I had found The Black Cat sooner!

Great coffee ☕️ iced chai, they can make the drinks using different types of milk 🥛 like Almond and Coconut 🥥 milk for those who have allergies to traditional milk. They display paintings 🎨 by local artists. Very relaxing and cool atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out.

This is my very favorite spot for a big, and they have a BIG 32oz, iced Americano with cream. I wish this place was closer to home or on my way to work because I would be here daily for my fix. It is on the bike trail along the Arizona Canal and about 5 miles from my house on that route so that is a fun and worthwhile ride. The coffee is exquisite and the Danish are fresh and tasty. The kids love coming along for a smoothie.

Been meaning to try this place. I was going to The Henry a lot, which I truly enjoy, but needed something less high end and relaxed. This place definitely has it. The employees were nice, and informative. It seems to be a place that consists of nothing but regulars, because the cashier asked if this was my first time in here. The coffee was excellent. Medium red eye (Iced toddy with a shot) Cool, quiet environment. I truly do enjoy this coffee shop and think they should all be like this. Living so close to this place is a plus.

Now under new ownership, the young couple who purchased the Black Cat are really interested in making this a great neighborhood coffee shop and gathering place. They care about and are interested in their customers feedback. In the meantime, they make really good, freshly brewed by order, iced teas.

Have had the BCat Bomb - this peanut butter blending thing that is so good. and the Atomic Lotis Blossom - has Red Bull in it. I went to Black Cat for the first time on Friday. I dont know what took me so long since it is right in the neighborhood. This place is great and is my new go to place. They offer French Press coffee which is wonderful and so hard to find. Nice people, great decor.

Went with a couple of friends, waiting for a very long time for our breakfast sandwiches. Server was the only one there and continued to ignore us by serving other customers after us and completely forgot to finish the rest of our order. So after waiting a half an hour and running late for work, we canceled our order and left. Never coming here again.

Probably one if the best small coffee shop in the Valley. Easily a better alternative to Starbucks. The owners and team are extremely friendly and customer service oriented. And I believe they live in the neighborhood. I’ve had their Nitro Coffee, Chai Tea latte, Cold Brew, Smoothies, and Italian Sodas. All exactly what I needed on those respective days.Great place to get work done, have coffee meetings, or just use their WiFi.

I love independent coffee houses such as this where they still appreciate the art of a good cup of coffee. Good quality cappuccino served on ceramic wide cups make a huge difference.

Black Cat is my favorite place for a Sunday afternoon. I can study or just relax. Today (3/26) a 3 peice band is playing old jazz hits on the sidewalk. And they updated the artwork recently, too.
