They are more than happy to sell you a car. But it appears that any level of customer support ends when you sign on the dotted line. My temporary plate has expired since I bought a used car here a few months ago. I have called and left messages and contacted them through the chat program on their website with ZERO response. My issue is that I never received paperwork to register the car.So yeah, I would really appreciate a phone call.Edit**My brother went to the dealership since I am out of state to get the assistant manager to call me. Once she did the entire situation was resolved in less than 2 hours. I just wish my phone call was returned earlier. So I raised my one star review to three for the hassle and resolution. The assistant manager seemed nice and attentive. Perhaps they need more customer focused people under her.

I purchased a vehicle from them 3 days ago and had the battery die on me yesterday. Called today to see if they’d replace it or help reduce costs. There was no help from anyone on the Subaru Camelback team. Someone spends tens of thousands with you and you won’t replace a worn out battery? I like the vehicle overall but between the hidden markups not listed on the for sale price and today’s laughable service I won’t be back.

Its my first time buying a car and Ive been very hesitant about going to dealerships. However, my experience at Camelback was phenomenal. I worked with Kris Patel and he was fantastic. Extremely personable, actually seemed to care about getting me a car that worked well for me, and gave me such good customer service in general. While I didnt end up buying a car yet, as Im still shopping around, Kris and Camelback Subaru will be my #1 go to when Im ready.

When someone says theyve found a car and are no longer interested, honor that. Despite car prices being pretty high, the market is hot, the supply is constrained from chip shortages and youll likely find buyers. Give it a rest. Ive been looking at Subarus for a few weeks and theyre flying off the shelves right now. Its not my problem if youre overstocking your dealership or something. Sell to people who are still interested or actively looking and dont pressure people who arent.

Never again will I bring my Subaru to this shop!! I only bring my car here for the convince of the location but EACH time I bring it here my car’s lug nuts are ALWAYS stripped and loose!! I’ve been stranded and almost had my tire fall off! This time was the last straw! I’ve never had an issue like this at the other Subaru dealerships! This location is the worst! I even had a guy yelling at me over the incident when I simply asked how to get my car serviced for the issue. How did I strip my lug nuts without owning a impact wrench?!

Incredibly poor experience after seeking the purchase of a new vehicle.Spent the day car shopping at other dealerships, but was very motivated to make a deal with Subaru - my family purchases them often and I know they are of good and dependable quality. The salesman, Aidyn, who showed me the vehicle I was interested in was very professional, respectful, and knowledgeable. When the finance representative joined us after my credit screen, I was quoted a double-digit interest rate 3x higher than any of the offers I received at other dealerships, as well as a down-payment and monthly payments abnormally high for the vehicle. The finance representative was very unwavering and negative. When explaining my research and reasoning for the rate, I was not met with understanding, but rather an air of superiority. When I informed him I had a signed offer at another dealership for a quarter of the price, zero down, and a significantly lower APR, he stated that they were lying and I could never realistically achieve my financial goal for the vehicle. I unfortunately was pursuing a new car with poor credit due to cosigning an auto loan several years ago that was left in poor standing by the primary owner. Its an error I own wholeheartedly, and was looking forward to making steady payments on a loan of my own to repair my cosigning mistake from when I was younger. He frequently referenced my poor credit in a manner that was unprofessional and demeaning. He refused to reference the payment history for loans in which I was sole borrower, my salaried income, perfect rental history, or any other factors. It was very clear that they did not want my business, as another dollar sign will absolutely purchase the same car at a later date.At this dealership, I was met with the assumption that my age and credit meant I had done no research and no knowledge of the proceeding of a car purchase. If you are under 30 without sparkling credit, I would not recommend acquiring your vehicle here. You will not be treated as a potential and valued customer, but rather as a stepping stone to someone they can squeeze more money out of.The same day, I took my business across the street to Toyota and purchased a comparable vehicle that was brand new with significantly more affordable monthly payments and a single-digit APR that was 40% lower than I was quoted here.

If anyone has any advice on how to turn around a poor start with Camelback Subaru Im open to suggestions...I wish I had read ALL the reviews, including those posted on yelp which has Camelback Subaru at an average rating of 2.5 stars. I think relationships are everything, and one of the largest factors in determining the quality of your experience. I am super disappointed; like almost sad (I was sincerely praying Id be able to cultivate a positive relationship with this dealer).I had a great relationship with my Mercedes mechanic. When it came time to turn in my old E320 CDI my gut told me to stick with the make (although expensive to repair and not as reliable as they used to be) because Schulte Automotive was reliable, trustworthy, and fair... not to mention ALWAYS a pleasure to work with. I didnt, and fully regret it!I see there are some people that have rated Camelback Subaru with positive reviews (I dont know if they just got lucky, caught them on a good day, had a more tactful approach, or have lowered their standards) but, in the dozen times Ive worked with them since I purchased my 2022 Outback Subaru Limited six weeks ago (regarding financing and service, my sales guy Lenny was great) Im left feeling jerked around and frustrated.Note: my experience working with Subaru of America has been awesome. Unfortunately, that isnt reflected by how Camelback Subaru represents them.I understand I can work with a different dealer but I already drive for a living (about 3,000 miles a week). Additional driving outside of work can be stressful. In an attempt to manage stress I do my best to keep all my professional relationships within a 5-10 mile radius at most. I thought Id accounted for that when choosing Camelback Subaru; apparently I made an error.I thought Id done well in choosing a Subaru, Its not really my Subarus fault (its actually a pretty great car). However, the relationship that comes along with it isnt worth what it offers. As it stands, I will be patiently awaiting the opportunity to get rid of my Subaru and replace it with a gently used German car so I can go back to my old (personable and awesome) mechanic and put this relationship behind me. It feels comparable to being stuck in a bad marriage.

If you are looking to work with a salesperson who you can trust to treat you fairly, who will not work to undermine your confidence and push you into a deal you dont want, ask for Ben Ricker. He was kind, patient, knowledgeable, and funny—someone who is gifted at building rapport, which is an added bonus in a long car buying experience. In sum, it was the kind of exchange that left the buyer and the seller in high esteem, which is all anyone really wants from a car buying experience. Tu Le, the finance manager, was the cherry on top. He was an absolute pro—so helpful and willing to go the extra mile to ensure that my final step in the journey was as pleasant as the rest. This is my second car I am purchasing from the dealership. I was very clear right from the beginning what I was willing to pay for the car out of the door. As it seems the price I paid eventually was way off from what I had committed to. Somehow the numbers at first look correct and Since I trusted and signed the documents and the dealership has not return policy as soon as you are out. I am stuck with the price. Interestingly before I took the keys, I reconfirmed if the numbers were right with the finance guy. And then it was too late. I have learnt an expensive lesson, don’t trust what the sales person says. Seconds after you sign, They will selectively deny what’s per their convenience More than willing to share the entire experience with all specifics and what transpired. After spending 6 hours - yes that’s right, 6 hours I felt misguided in minute details. Partly my mistake, I should have been more diligent but the 6 hours took a toll on me. Yes they will come and say you signed and all etc etc, I had clearly written what my commitment was. They didn’t get that paper but only the one where I finally signed just before you hit the magic bell or what o should hence call as no going back bell., Not ending on a negative note My first car Purchase experience was great and the sales director Frank was very helpful and that was the only reason I thought of being a repeat customer Albeit this dealership being not the closest to where i live.As someone rightly said- experience is what you get when you don’t get what you want

He was very nice and was able to show my daughter a car according to how much shell be able to afford as well as all specs of the car according to her taste and wants. She ended up choosing a used 2013 Toyota RAV4 Limited Edition as a replacement for her traded 2011 Hyundai Elantra Limited Edition. We left the dealership at almost 11pm because of all the requirements needed by their financing as they will not let us take the car with us that night without us filling up another credit application even though we already have a pre-approved financing from Desert Financial. We love the deal that was offered to us but probably wont be coming back in the future because of all this hassle weve experienced.Just recently, I received a couple of letters from different lending institutions denying me for a credit which I havent applied for. It states that it was submitted on behalf of CAMELBACK SUBARU. To my knowledge, I was FORCED to fill up their credit application even though I already have an APPROVED CREDIT from DESERT FIANCIAL for reason, as told by their finance guy, that its purpose was to let us bring the car with us that night. I was never told that they will send that application to different banks without my permission !!!!!One star just for Ayden.

The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because I am still happy with my purchase and feel we got a pretty good deal on our car. However, the customer service would be best described as shady. My boyfriend went in and we had a strict cap on what we could pay for the car. He was clear and firm about it from the beginning and ultimately they said they could do it if we purchased that day. I had not gone to the dealership with him as we have a young infant at home and did not want to take him there. They agreed to bring it to our home which was nearby so that I could take a look and test drive it before making a decision. At the time I thought this was really nice of them to do that. Fast forward to my boyfriend arriving back at the dealership, he already had the cashier’s check for the agreed upon amount and suddenly they act as if it wasn’t agreed upon and say they can only do 500 over that. I get that 500 isn’t a ton of money, but it’s the principle and the way the whole deal was handled that was messed up in my opinion. The way Luciano and Cory handled this transaction shows exactly why people do not like car salesman. Just a word of advice to others, do not trust them and know that they may try some shady tactics to make a sale. Like I said, still very happy with my car, but would we do business with them in the future? Probably not.EDITED TO ADD: Also sort of annoying that the owner takes the time to respond to every review on here within a few days, but has not responded to mine LOL

We were on the road for 2 hours to Phoenix, ON THE WAY to pick up the new car, when Frank called and said we could pay full MSRP for the vehicle or the contract was being voided by Camelback. When we questioned the reason, we were told to drive safely and hung up on. We were also told to be sure and spell my name right by Mr. G.A.L.T.I.E.R.I. when we asked for Management and apparently, he IS the management. I have never been treated so rudely and Im infuriated at the treatment of my mother as well. The salesperson Gabe cannot be reached for help now. The staff are nice enough. Just be aware of price gouging at the service center. Took my car in for the 30,000 mile service, knowing it might be a bit higher than a typical shop. They quoted $599.00 and tacked on multiple services that Subaru does not recommend (e.g., front and rear differential fluid flush–Subaru recommends an inspection and replacement as needed). I discussed the extreme prices (i.e., $143.00 just for an oil change, $40.00 to change one air filter) and they wouldnt budge. These guys are alright. I bought my car from them. They helped get me the financing I was after and Im super satisfied with the car. Ive never had any issues with the services or anything like that. You really cant go wrong if youre looking to get a Subaru or Volkswagen. If youre going to get a WRX or an STI, Id recommend looking at the Golf R or the GTI as well, just to see if you like them. I got a WRX and I wish I would have looked at the Volkswagen turbo 4s before buying it.

We recently purchased a new vehicle from Camelback Subaru and had hands down the best car buying experience! Which says a lot, as we have purchased a large number of vehicles. ALL of the employees treated us with the utmost professionalism. We truly felt like VIPs! We definitely be using them again for future vehicle purchases.

On a whim, my husband & I went to Camelback Subaru to walk the lot. Just looking at what was there, possibly for the hubby to trade in his truck. In 2018 I bought a Crosstrek here & simply just loved the vehicle & the buyer experience. My husband fell in love with a 2020 WRX & I was head over heels for the 2021 Forester Sport. Kris P., the salesman, helped us & we both test drove the vehicles. He was incredibly knowledgeable! Super friendly & was not pushy at all. Frank G. & Tu L. in finance were incredible & answered all the questions we had. By the end of the day, we traded in the old truck & Crosstrek. & for the process of 2 cars, everyone assisting was incredibly efficient. It took way less time than expected. Kris helped schedule our first services, which was really nice! Chris G., the service manager, was just amazing as well! Polite, helpful & also incredibly knowledgeable. I couldnt possibly recommend a better dealership & crew to help anyone looking to get into a car they will love!

They are taking care of the problem free of charge. But I still dont know what was left on my car and its still there. I think something from the construction got on my car but I really cant say what it is.Every time I go here I get over priced on any service for my car went to Chandler Subaru and they said it would cost me only $1200 something for the work I needed Camelback is charging me $1690 for the same job, getting ripped off again thanks Camelback Subaru 👌🏼 never coming here again. And this is were I got my Subaru very disappointed. And idk what that stuff is on my car.. and they managed to brake my coolant reservoir on my radiator so my reservoir is bouncing around now and kinda splashing coolant out.

By far this was the best auto purchase experience. The sales staff were extremely mindful of your time, budget, and vehicle considerations. They were honest and up front about cost comparison, loan options, and vehicle options.I would highly recommend this particular dealer to anyone who are in the market to get a brand new 2020 Subaru as the safety features of their vehicles are the best. I have traded-in my 2017 Subaru Outback for a 2020 Subaru Outback. The different is day and night. I love my new Subaru with its upgraded and standardize safety features, new entertainment system, and increase in cargo capacity.Sales leader Igor is a great guy and he wants make sure everyone leaves his dealership happy. Dennis was my sales rep, and he was very nice to work with. All and all I couldnt be happier to get my new 2020 Subaru Outback from the Camelback Subaru.Disclosure:The feedback provided above solely represents my personal opinion, and I have not been compensated in any way or shape to leave positive feedback. I simply had a great experience at this dealership, and I believe they deserve every one of the five stars out of a five star rating and more.

I literally feel like I need trauma therapy post my experience with CameLCrap Subaru in Phoenix, Arizona. The only reason they get one star is because I got decent vibes from the salesman, Ben. Though repeatedly I had things told to me that turned out to be untrue altogether when pen hit the paper and time to follow through.I arrived close to opening time and had inquired about a specific car that seemed to meet the needs of what I was looking for the night before. The salesman texted me and I told him I was almost there and this began a day I feel like they need to pay ME for! Literally was there ALL. DAY. 9-5. My parents are looking to finance a car for me and let me pay the payments since I am a homeless student at the University of Metaphysics in Sedona, AZ. I drove the car, my parents credit was revealed to be perfect. Then all of a sudden they tell me my name has to be in the loan paperwork. Well my credit is not good, which is why my parents have offered to help me. I also had my employment affected by covid-19 and now collect unemployment as a result. My income does not count though the bills read, “This Note is Legal tender for all debts, public and private.” And is based off my employment which has been wiped out to no fault of my own and I also have coworkers receiving unemployment to prove the legitimacy. They ran both mine and my parents credit though and said it looked great and we should move forward. All of a sudden the car I was told I could drive off the lot TOdaY in, which My parents absolutely qualify for, was sold out from under us. Then Ben walks out with keys to a different car and says, “this one is cheaper and I think you’ll like it better.” It was great actually just needed tint and a tow hitch installed. He said it wasn’t even in the inventory yet. It was a green Subaru Forester 2019 and my last car was a 2002 green Subaru Forester which I have a shady mechanic trying to steal from me right now so it seemed spiritually in alignment that maybe this could be the perfect car. I drove it, sure enough, perfect. Ben shows me the paperwork with price of vehicle and the breakdown. This Forester is $20,300! The Crosstek I originally went to buy was only $19,500!! But Ben, you said this car is less?!? They then discounted this $2,700 accessories charge they said they put on everyone that comes through to save THEIR ROI down the line when the car is returned. My parents told them they need to tell people online in the price that is going to be added or you are falsely advertising this. They were hesitant to take it off then all of a sudden they pop out with a car they didn’t want to discount obviously and started then taking away those accessories everyone gets forced into which no one ever has removed from their bill. I told them I had planned to have my friend take me back to Albuquerque and that I decided to stay longer in Phoenix just for this car situation. They first included $800+ For installing the hitch then they wanted to charge me for an extended warranty on this vehicle financed compounding at 6.9% monthly for 72 months to just cover 50,000 miles. When I said no, they took the hitch amount off and put the warranty in and it didn’t make my monthly payment too much higher. I said okay, but by the end of the deal, the price was higher now comparable to the car I originally came to buy. It was certified, had a warranty, tow hitch, tint, everything I needed. But Ben, you told me this was a better deal?! I find out the Forester is not certified Bc it had 47,000 miles on it and the miles were too high for Subaru to pay for. So then they try to pass the buck to the consumer (Me) spread out over 72 months. Why?! So that I get things fixed on it and the vehicle keeps its value to be traded in and then capitalize yet again on the next person. The credit application was grossly weird and invasive in my opinion which my parents agree totally.I would pull my name as Subaru from this franchise if I were the Japanese Company Originator. Subaru is supposed to stand for Unity

The fine folks at Camelback Subaru has been by far my best car buying experience! Albeit, this was my very first time buying a brand new vehicle, I had always heard horror stories. I planned for a long day. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised and happy on that matter to find out my Salesman Todd was not in it for hidden agendas. He knew what I was interested in, we spoke on my budget I was looking for and Todd did not force anything new on me.“Time to talk numbers”, Todd, Myself and Cory(whom apparently is very popular via 96.9FM) negotiated on a great monthly payment that was acceptable to me first and foremost. Again, nothing but transparency and honesty with Camelback Subaru. A sale was made, my experience was fabulous and I was excited to get on the road that I am so grateful for Todd of with his time and professionalism. I then proceeded to speak with finance guy Steven(not Steve). A fellow animal lover, we got to talking and outside of our great discussion on rescue animals and property he set me up with THE BEST extended Warranty(not to mention the safest vehicle on the road) I have ever seen, even if it was only my first car.I cannot Thank every staff member that had a hand in my sale enough. Even the other salesmen and women always had a smile and were so friendly. With so much uncertainty in the current times it was very refreshing to be treated not as a number but as a person. All the meanwhile safety precautions were taken with every member of the Camelback Subaru team with this Covid-19. I felt safe and had the most spectacular buying experience at Camelback Subaru. I will definitely be back and will honestly only be buying Subaru from here on out. So, to Camelback Subaru, Todd - especially Todd from Minneapolis, Steven and Cory, I Thank You from the bottom of my heart for your hospitality in my car buying experience.

I found a car online that I was interested in buying. Camelback Subaru is a little over 30 minutes away from me so I called in advance and setup an appointment. I spoke with the sales manager who assured me the car would be ready and waiting for my arrival the next day. The day of, being one to understand the importance of managing expectations, I called again. I spoke to the same person who, again, confirmed the car was available and would be ready upon my arrival. I took the long trek out there intent on buying the car. When I arrived, the first thing the sales manager said to me was You didnt answer your phone. An interesting accusation to level at someone he knew was driving and headed in his direction. This would be followed up with an explanation that he vehicle wasnt available to drive because the keys were locked away in the maintenance office, etc etc etc. When I checked my missed calls, he called me 10 minutes prior to my arrival. Mistakes are made, people are lazy, fine. But the lack of accountability and apology really, really got under my skin. The salesperson I was pawned off on (who also rendered the only apology I would receive) asked if there was anything he could do to redeem my business. Given that the car is the only one in stock in the city of Phoenix I relented and asked that he send me his best and final cash price via email. I have yet to receive anything. Its probably for the best. If this is how they treat people when theyre trying to earn your business Id hate to see what happens after the ink dries. There are a lot of dealerships out there and, because the internet has commoditized the industry, many of them are doing really good, honest, solid business. This clearly isnt one of them.
