Great store for Mediterranean groceries & supplies.. Chicken & Goat meat is of good quality.. they cut the meat as requested

My top place for quality Arabic store! Super sweet staff! Maher and Saif are the best people in town! The whole store is clean and very organized. Also,Babel is a complete middle eastern market with great collection of fresh vegetables,spices and more chesse varieties. I always call Saif and he always holds the item for me very friendly and sweet. Thank you. Number one store If I could give it more than 5 stars!!

Babel Mediterranean/mid-eastern market.This was my first visit, after eating at an amazing restaurant next-door called Caroun I decided to check out the stores that are in the same strip mall. I was pleasantly surprised to find this place.Mark answered all my questions and even help me find a few things that I was looking for.I bought spices, olives, tea, beautiful glass tea cups, sugar cubes, French press for my tea, and......I really enjoyed the employees and the customers.I WOULD GO BACK.

Ridiculously expensive!! Never shopping there again. All prices are typed by hand on register and most items dont have a price. So it feels like they type what ever price they feel like. On top of that when you look at the receipt to see what you paid for. All you see next to each charge is GROCHERY, meaning you will never be able to figure out what each item cost.

Great little market with a wonderful, though limited, selection. I was able to find things here that most stores do not carry. The employees seemed to be friendly. The baklava was excellent. I certainly anticipate going back in the future, for the baklava and for obscure ingredients.

Friendly and always welcoming, they got everything supermarket inside little shop clean and fresh, def going back, and they don’t care if you wear mask or not, My favorite store so far Bc f wearing a mask 😂

The best place to have fresh chicken and mutton. I am a regular here since 4 years, and the quality of non veg as well as their service, is best here. The staffs will adhere to your requirement of cutting the pieces according to you, without making any fuss about it 😄😛

There used to be a middle-eastern grocery store that Id visit when I was back in Michigan (large population of middleeasterners), and I stocked up on things before moving to Phoenix. Ive been long-over due for a trip to one, and didnt realize how close Babel is to my house (less than 3 miles). I had the urge on a Sunday night, and was surprised theyre open until 9pm (I think its until 10pm the rest of the week, but check, dont take my word for it). Its not a large location, but their shelves are very well stocked with all sorts of spices and ingredients from the region, and the prices are fantastic. I walked around quickly to get a feel for the place, but definitely didnt give it the full attention they deserve - - they also have a butchers counter, but I wasnt in the position of getting anything just yet. The gentleman at the counter was extremely polite and friendly to me (being a Caucasian in some places like this can be a target for rudeness, but definitely received a warm welcome here). I will definitely be back soon, and look forward to trying a lot of new things that they carry. I did get 2 pieces of baklava that were near the register, and they were delicious.

Qualitywise its good but owner was not following any rule to stop corona. Owner himself was not wearing mask, on top of that one of his known was not wearing mask and constantly coughing on the counter. I’ll avoid until pandemic is over.

Got a bad experience today.I was going there for last few years,today asked for 2 pounds of chicken and noticed the guy started cutting 2 whole chicken then I told him I asked for 2 pounds.. he was mad at me and throwing the knife to the table with great anger.. that’s not good.. even if we had misunderstanding I am completely fine taking the whole 2 chicken. but don’t show your madness to any customer.. And this was the last visit to this store..

The first bad experience i had was when i bought 5lb lamb shanks from them. The butcher had cut it too big pieces and i requested him to cut it into 2 pieces. He went in angrily and cut it horizontal dropping all the bone marrow. I let it slide even though my dish was gone. The meat was old and tasted funny.I gave them another chance today as Open Seaseme, my regular meat guy was closes. The butcher started cutting the chicken in the smallest pieces and when I confronted them he starts shouting at me saying that i never mentioned the size of the cuts. He then takes the chicken from a different customer and cuts it regular size. I am sure he messed with the weight as my chicken was missing a drumstick when i reached home along with a couple of easily identifiable pieces. Maybe I always visit when the staff is having a bad day. I might turn vegan but i am Never coming back again.

If you are looking for fresh chicken, mutton and lamb then this is your destination. Frozen meat is tasteless and we desperately needed a place where we can find good meat. They also have mediterranean groceries and some daily use items. The staff is nice too.

I usually visit this place to buy Goat or Lamb meat... Good quality meat... Nicely chopped and clean... Staff is good and friendly...

I bought two items by weight. Cucumbers which was 1 pounds and 11 ounces and dates which was one pound. For the cucombers they were selling for 1.49 per pound, I got charged a total of $5.09 and the dates were selling for $3.99 a pound, I got charged $6.94. on both items I didnt pay attention to what he was punching on the scale but the total was off so when I came home and weighted the items I realized that this store is ripping off people by over charging. Shoppers beware of this shop when you by items by weight.
