This bookstore has an amazing selection of books from black authors for adults and children. There is a little reading area that has some older and up to date magazine available to read, there is a children’s corner, and an area set up to have a nice socially distanced meeting for about 8/10 people. The restrooms are clean and in the same plaza is an Afro Market filled with some nice little treasures :)The owners and the team here really make sure that the community of minorities are heard and have a place to come get educated and supported. I absolutely recommend this store & cannot wait to see how it grows. I’m very grateful Arizona has something like this to cherish and experience. Hope you can make it there!!

Absolutely amazing!!The most interesting store in the valley.You have to visit

I went in looking for some obscure books, no titles in mind, just a general topic, and the store Manager Kylie was exceptionally helpful. She was attentive, and only provided solutions. I also recognize that I was particularly annoyed and frustrated that day too, and she was nothing other than professional and kind. When I failed to find what I was looking for, she reached out to her contact, and emailed me a list of resources, both books and websites to aid my research. The place itself was incredibly cute, and familiar in a way that made it homey, and I would drive the 40 minutes it takes to get there again just to simply peruse. Their selection of books was small, but pretty diverse, and they do a good job of keeping common titles and intriguing ones Ive never heard of. All in all I recommend 100%!

Is this turning into a parking lot screaming DJ out door club now? 9pm to 2am of pure screaming with music so loud it keeps up the neighborhood. If this is not your fault then do not allow your parking lot to be used.

I loved the selection of books. I think the staff was really nice, too. If youre thinking about going, do it.

Based off a pretty poor uninformed review I seen, I just needed to share that this place has never had a loud event going into the wee hours of the morning in their parking lot and are not responsible for any other business that does.

Great store with many unique gifts. A must stop for any book enthusiast.
