I love this place. Fun atmosphere and an amazing beer and wine selection. Happy hour specials are fantastic and they have games all over the place. We had a blast here and the staff is really fun.

The Whining Pig is a buried treasure for an enjoyable experience of wine, beer and a pleasant overall atmosphere...The staff is genuine, competent, attentive, and friendly.What a great combination!!I almost regret writing such a positive review because I dont want everybody to invade this gem of a watering-hole.The beer and wine selections are second to none in this local area.They consistently nail their sourcing of the highest quality selections of brews and wines.The board is awesome and changes nearly daily.Well done guys.

It was a first time here. The ambiance needed something. It was too quiet or lights were too high. We couldnt figure it out. They have an amazing draft beer selection though!

I found this place tonight, and I’m so glad I did! So much beer and wine to choose from and the bartender helped me pick out a great beer. Bartender (totally forgot her name) was happy and knowledgeable. Love this place already!

Had some great beer here on an uncrowded Saturday afternoon. Perfect place to unwind with a friend or just on your own. I was unsure of what to try, so I really appreciated the samples. The bartender was brilliant--didnt tell me the names of the brews so that I could just judge and decide by taste alone, not name or fame. Loved it. Ill be back again, soon.

Fantasitc bar that maintains that same friendly atmosphere as the others. Come in to their rotating taps (a total of 39!), wide selection of wines, and even larger selection of canned beer that you can take to go! Even better, they’re capable of filling your growler with your favorite beer (again, I will emphasize YOUR GROWLER - they do not sell growlers).Not to mention the atmosphere is always awesome, and better yet, their music selection is impeccable! Music is per bartender and they have great taste! So come in, kick back, and enjoy a few here in what I’ve grown accustomed to calling my “pig pen!”

Huge selection of drinks. Knowledgeable staff. Fantastic drink selection. Great happy hour prices. 5 craft beers for a total of $22 is really good on my last visit. I have been there twice now and staff seems really friendly with some guests, thought not so much with us. Was overcharged. Charged $29 on a $22 tab. Staff corrected quickly.

Bartender was nowhere to be found. When she finally came to serve me, she threw the saddest splash of sangria in a mason jar and left the bar again. Downtown location is much better.

Great Beer choices. They have so many to choose from you cant go wrong. They are very knowledgeable about what they offer so you can tell them what you like in a beer and they can point you in the right direction. They dont offer food, but you can bring your own or have it delivered. Native New Yorker is next door and theyll bring it your food order over to you.

A great bar with an incredible selection, both for draft and bottled beverages. Dont come for cocktails or hard liquor, but do come for beer, cider, wine and even a selection of Superstition mead.Happy hour is basically all the time (1-8). There are games available for play (Battleship and Yahtzee over pints, anyone?). The aesthetic and atmosphere are great, and there is a selection on grilled cheese sandwiches available if you get peckish.If youre having a hard time choosing what to drink, you can look to the specials - barkeeps choice deals for beer and wine are available, as are flights.

Its was the first time going and the bartender gave me different taste options, which was amazing. I forgot her name but she was an amazing bartender. Definitely recommend and will be back soon.

Not really much In the food area but more for craft beers to enjoy before going next door to Native for a Burger. I liked the IPA called Church Music by The Shop. Good one for newbies in the IPA area of taste. Good flights for testing out new flavors :-)

Cool place. Be prepared to be overwhelmed with the variety of beverages available on tap, in bottles and canned. They have bar snacks, ex. chips, and you might get a grilled cheese but you can also bring in your own food. Plus, they have have a fridge with a selection you can take home with you (at a price, of course). Enjoy!

Beers and wine! A nice selection of different kinds and types. Food wise, your best bet is ordering grub hub or picking up at Native. Friendly staff and relaxed environment. Cant wait to go back!!

The bartenders and staff here are very knowledgeable about their beer lists, and what to recommend. Theyre constantly getting new inventory and new beers on tap and in their take-out fridge.The wine and beer list is long, but easily decipherable with the help of the color-coded key at the top. What they lack in a lot of food they make up for with DELICIOUS grilled cheese and bar snacks, and if youre interested theres a variety of board games that you can play while enjoying good beer and company.

Great bar with no Sports TVs - at last. A place where you can drink great ales and hang out with the friendly crowd - they also have board games that you can play. Fun place! We dont need any more sports bars in the area with loud TVs and no one socializing! They have a small menu but also allow you to bring food from the bar next door. Nice :)

No outdoor seating during covid so Im giving one star for not giving people an option like native wings next door which we decided to patronize because they did have outdoor seating. Fix and Ill update my rating.

This place is like a beer drinkers Paradise. The amount of beers they serve is ridiculous. Its very small and can be tough to find a seat when busy but if you go at the right time its perfect. They have tons of board/card games and a nice, relaxing atmosphere. At times it can be hard to read the beer names on the wall, because there are so many, maybe they can create a website menu where customers can look on their phone? Great place for beer!

If you cant find a beer you like here your doing something wrong and should change course immediately. Exceptional beer selection. Got here shortly after open and was the only one in the bar. Good music playing and great little spot. All sorts of games to play with if thats your thing.

Really cool place and TONS of beers. Selection is very wide. Its a bit loud and though they have quite a few boardgames, theres really not much room to play. So long as youre not looking for a chill boardgame night at a quiet pub youre definitely going to enjoy yourself here.

I came in late on a Friday, and as expected the bar was pretty full. But I found a spot and started checking out the beer menu which is on the wall and is varied and expansive. In the mood for a cider, the bartender Brian said they had a passion fruit cider from a local brewery on tap! I love when a place will steer me towards a local brew rather than just popping open a bottled macro. The scene here is friendly and open. The penny covered bar runs the entire length of the space and a wall mounted bar adds a more compact seating choice. Analog bar games include trivial pursuit, cards against humanity, scene it, random action figures, rubic cubes, etc.I ordered the first menus item, since there are only 6 items, I fugure I’ll just work my way down the wall each time I come back. The ❤️ Is a grilled cheese sandwich made of fig spread, prosciutto and goat cheese. Awesome sandwich that was a little reminiscent of a fruit pie. Potato chips and a big deli pickle rounded out the $6 meal. Well worth it!I’ll be back. The service was attentive, the food was well prepared, and the beer was cold. What else could you ask for?!?

New Whining Pig is a mark of consistency if nothing else. The concept is a small bar with a big selection of draft beer, cans, bottles, wines and mead, with a small but good menu of grilled cheeses and other bites, and the new location feels as if theyve been there for a while already. It is usually very loud and crowded, so be aware if going with a large group during peak hours.
