I’m a first time mom and attended a class today. I was blown away by the love and support that filled the room for the circle of Mother’s group. I was immediately welcomed by Amy and other moms. Michelle was fantastic and we had such a great conversation about everything that I have ahead of me soon, I appreciated her sharing her info with me and reassuring me if I had any questions to call her day or night. I am looking forward to coming back to The Motherhood Co with my own little one when she arrives. This is truly an amazing space!!!!

Today was my 1st time attending the motherhood co. Everyone in attendance was very welcoming and it was nice to get some much needed guidance from Amy on helping my baby to latch on. She was very understanding and helped me try a few different things to help make breastfeeding successful. Im looking forward to trying the tips she showed me.

Cant recommend this place highly enough. Ive been attending the prenatal yoga classes throughout my pregnancy and attended the five week lamaze series. I love their evidence based approach to childbirth education and felt their curriculum is incredibly well-rounded and informative without being judgemental which is important for moms. I am so pumped to have found a community of moms and mom experts to help make the wild journey into parenthood less daunting and more exciting.

The Motherhood Co is a beautiful and inviting space for mamas and their littles with such a wide variety of services and resources including childbirth education, home birth midwives, lactation consultants, prenatal massage, doulas, and prenatal and postpartum yoga. There is even a common space for mamas to lounge with toys available for littles to play with. The perfect space for mamas or mamas-to-be with either the help and resources you will need or referrals to people who can help!

What an amazing safe space for women - Its beautiful and inviting for all walks of motherhood!

My husband and I found Amey after a very difficult beginning with our son. He was born with tongue tie, lip tie and bucchal ties, which we had revised at 4 weeks old. We had seen two lactation consultants, been to chiropractors, CranioSacral therapists, naturopaths and of course had the revision done, but unfortunately he was still experiencing symptoms and we were all miserable. He was experiencing severe spitting up, gas, disoriented sucking, fussiness while nursing and then oral aversion. We were at our wits end and felt lost as to what else to do to help our son. We were at such a loss as to why even after the revision, oral exercises, and all the bodywork there was still no improvement. No one seemed to be able to give us answers. When Ezra was almost 4 months old, I found Amey on Instagram and reached out for help. She got us in and within minutes of examining Ezra and watching him nurse she could immediately tell that there was a lot of body tension and a head tilt. We had noticed that he had a difficult time turning his head one way, but it wasn’t until she really walked us through how oral restrictions affect the body, that we saw just how restricted our sons movement was, and how this was affecting his nursing ability and therefore his digestion. Amey did a beautiful job of explaining everything to us, and really took her time with us that day. She was so sweet, gentle and playful with our son as she showed us where he was tight, and taught us how we could do certain stretches with his body to help those muscles. She agreed with us that it was important to stay out of his mouth, and start doing other types of exercises for his muscles as to not worsen his aversion. She showed us how to make these new exercises fun for Ezra. It was a very healing appointment for us and our son after what we had just been through. We learned so much at that appointment, and actually walked away with some hope that things might turn around for our son! We followed Amey’s advice and within just a week we started to see improvements! We were shocked. As of now, our son is able to actually turn his head more effortlessly, lifts his chin up, and the clicking sounds while nursing have greatly decreased. The best improvement, is that he spits up SO much LESS now!! We literally had one day where he did not spit up even once! It was remarkable! (Our son would usually spit up large amounts multiple times after every feed.) Ezra’s oral aversion is gone now, and he eats mostly without any fussing! We’re still working on his flexibility, but to see these results so fast was absolutely amazing and so encouraging! We are continuing Amey’s plan for Ezra, and are very hopeful now! We are so thankful for Amey and the knowledge she has in this area. I highly recommend her to anyone who is struggling in their breastfeeding journey, and especially if you’re dealing with tongue tie. I wish I had known her sooner, I can only imagine the hurdles we might have avoided had we seen her right after the revision. I don’t know where we would be in our nursing journey right now if it weren’t for her guidance. Amey is an invaluable resource for everything nursing and tongue tie related. To see my son nursing happily and finally keeping his food down, is the best feeling in the world! Thank you Amey for everything you do! We are so grateful.
