Wanted to express my gratitude towards Mark and Richard for their professional work at installing the sunscreens for my home. The energy savings is definitely apparent and the heat entering my home has gone down a lot. All the sunscreens were made to size and installed with the best service one could as for. In addition, appreciate the follow up from the company and attention to detail to make sure customers are happy. Mark and Richard went beyond expectations on the entire job. We chose them because of the extra service he does as a matter of course. Mark washes the windows before installing the screens. No other company offered to do that.Mark also took our sliding screen door and replaced the torn screen, which was not on the original contract. Then he refused to charge us, saying it was his thank-you for our patience. Installation was delayed because of the present labor shortage.He suggested we recycle a couple of the old screens as shade over our raised garden. He even fastened them to the frame Ive already built. Previously, we used old sheets to keep the sun from burning the plants during the intense summer sunshine.He also told us about magnetic decorations to attach to the screen door to help people and pets see it before they run into it.Mark uses all American made materials which was nice to hear.Overall, his craftsmanship and customer care is the best Ive seen in a long time.

We had a great experience working with Mark and Richard. Had a broken sun screen and they offered to repair rather than build a new one (thereby saving me alot of money!) They fixed it on the spot while we waited. Clearly very experienced and hard working and really nice to see a small business owner who takes such pride in his craft. Both Richard and Mark were great from start to finish. 90% sunscreens installed on my sunroom, which is doubling as my office, earlier than expected and with high quality and seamless installation. We had Mark replace all the sunscreens in our home. Many of the windows in our 30 year old home werent absolutely rectangle and/or the stucco around the windows was overlapping the frame a bit. This made installing the sunscreens more challenging. However, Mark and Brandon spent a LOT of extra time adjusting some the frames to fit. In the end, they did a great job. Highly recommended!

I did a lot of research before deciding on Sunscreens by Mark. Several deciding factors were the A++ rating by BBB, customer reviews, quality of materials used, cost, of course, customer service and pride in workmanship. From my initial call, throughout the entire project, this company impressed me. I dealt mainly with Mark, who is a knowledgeable, personable owner, willing to answer all questions and provide pros and cons on customer decisions. He came to the house with samples and I made my choices. Screens obviously are custom made so it takes about 2 weeks or so. He uses quality materials and does not rush through a job. Then, Mark and a coworker installed them within an hour and I was totally impressed. My windows look gorgeous. And did I mention the price was reasonable. Mark also does other projects with details and photos on his website. He also built a custom roll down shade for my patio with great attention to detail. The shade provides privacy and acts as a sunscreen, also. I am so impressed with the quality of work that I have hired him to do another project, that of filling in my outdated sunken living room. I have the sunscreens on my home for over a month now. I cant believe the difference it has made. The month has been hotter than last month but my Electric bill was about 30% lower than last month.On my previous house I did put sunscreens on. However, I made them myself with materials sold at home improvement stores. I spent weeks making them and they werent as effective as I had hoped. Now I know why. I got window sunscreens and I’m leaving 5 stars because Mark is a really genuinely nice guy and a hard worker. It’s a fairly small company so when they get busy be patient and know they will get the job done. Mark does everything he can to make sure the job is done correctly the first time and doesn’t use cheap materials.

I called 3 other places in the valley to get a sliding screen door that was high quality but nicely priced. My husband and I have been renovating our home for about 3 years now, and out of all the contractors weve worked with so far, Mark was by far the best! He matched the new screen frame color to the existing window frame color perfectly and fabricated the new screens to fit exactly over the windows creating a better bug guard than the original screens. Mark is a top notch small business owner. He stands by his work and provides excellent customer service and is very responsive. We had our home painted, the painters broke several fasteners and didnt put the screens in correctly. Mark took the time to make it right even though it wasnt his fault. We were skeptical at first. Didnt really believe that sunscreens would make too big of a difference. We were proven wrong. The very first day we noticed a difference. They make your house darker, thats for sure, but as Mark said, having a bulb run is much cheaper than the A/C. Sunscreens by Mark was recommended to me by friends and I am so glad that I listened to them. Everything was easy from start to finish! Clark came out to get a general information of how many windows, measurements and an estimate. I paid the down payment to get it moving forward and the process began. Mark came out a few days later to get the final measurements and get the job into production. Another week or so later Mark and Francisco showed up to install the windows and it took just a little over an hour to transform my own personal heat dome into a shaded and more comfortable home. I could tell immediately that there was a drastically reduced amount of heat coming through the east facing windows as the sun came up. I especially notice the difference in my home office which is on the west side of the home. Prior to the sunscreen installation I would have an extra fan in addition to the ceiling fan running in the afternoon, now I only need the ceiling fan on medium and not high to work in comfort.Another plus to having the blinds is the additional privacy they offer. I am able to lift my blinds all the way up and from the outside can see nothing, when before if I had done that the interior of my home would have been visible to anyone on the street. I also had them replace my cheap screen door on my patio with the most sturdy and well built screen door I have ever seen.Amazing work! We had Mark fabricate & install shade screens for our house a few months ago. Marks price was pretty much in line with the other bids we got for the job. Our house is older, with many large, non-standard windows in hard to reach locations. We are thrilled with the results. Our electricity bills dropped dramatically. The shades provide much desired darkness, esp. in the morning. We put in for an SRP rebate and received it without problem, too.Mark also fixed an annoying problem with our wrought iron gate, no charge. We are very happy customers.

I live in Anthem and love my new sunscreens from Sunscreens by Mark! They are fantastic; I didnt even realize just how much theyd make a difference. My second-story house feels so nice and cool, the air temp is dispersed better throughout the house, and the air conditioning runs probably half as much. I had been worried that the shaded windows would make the house feel TOO dark, but I am happy to report that the darker look isnt as bad as I thought it would be and the cool, comfortable feeling inside is well worth it!I am so glad I chose this business for my screens. I got several quotes from different companies and decided to go with Mark. I really happy I did, his service, product, and follow up are exceptional. Very quick, and very professional. I highly recommend Sunscreens by Mark.

Mark is one of those business providers you can count on. He is very open and honest, will take the time to discuss your needs, and is very concerned with helping the customer. He does not use high pressure sales tactics, does not use any deceptive measures, and provides the exact service he says he will - if not a little extra.I recently bought sunscreens for my entire house from Mark - 13 windows, 2 sliding glass doors, and 3 above window glass arches. Most of the windows were large, at around 5 ft by 5 ft, and the sliding glass doors contain a lot of glass to cover. Marks price was extremely competitive with other bids I received, and his level of service and friendliness was top notch. He took approximate measurements from me over the phone, and was able to give me a quote based on those approximations. Next, he sent an associate out to my house to meet with me, confirm the measurements, deliver the qoute, and have me sign the paperwork. At this point, we decided to add extra windows to Marks original quote (north facing windows to achieve uniformity on the entire house). With the new windows added in, the new quote was actually LESS than Marks original quote, because he gave a slightly overestimated original quote (he doesnt like to do anything resembling bait and switch), and because they offered me a whole house discount. I was very happy with the price at this point. Then, Mark explained to me that SRP offers a rebate of 80 cents per square foot. This made me even happier with the price.Long story short, I was given a 15-business day guarantee, which isnt a money-back guarantee or anything.....its just to let the customer know he is working his hardest to get your screens installed within 3 weeks. Well, it took about 17 business days, but I wasnt worried about it because Mark was forthright about what caused the delay, and he communicated with me in the process......he didnt leave me in the dark wondering whats going on. During the 3 week period, Mark came out to my house with another associate, and re-measured the windows to get exact measurements. The next day manufacturing began, and even with a slight delay for shipping of some parts needed for the sliding screen doors, the screens were ready within 5-8 business days. Mark and his associate came out to the house, cleaned all the windows, and installed the screens in about 3-4 hours, at which point Mark explained to me that the 3 arches had small issues with fitting flush, so he wanted to take them back to the shop, and come back the next day to finish those last 3 pieces. Meanwhile, the rest of the house looked awesome. I was extremely pleased. Mark did exactly as he said, and came back the next day to finish the installation of the last 3 pieces, even though I had already paid him in full.Overall, excellent service, excellent product, excellent work by Mark and by his associates.Scott

We found Mark on the web and had him put sunscreens on our home in Peoria. Conventiently, they were installed the day our APS bill cycled. The July bill ended up being 1/2 the June bill! We will pay for these screens within two years at most. As others have said, Marks workmanship is top notch. The grids are just one example. When he does the grids for your front windows, he cuts a notch on one of the bars so that the cross-bar fits flush. This not only makes it look better, but also the grid bars are not being bent over each other and being pushed up against the window - like I noticed was happening on one of my neighbors windows! He arranged his schedule to meet with us at our convenience. He returned calls quickly and answered all our questions. I cannot recommend Mark and his company enough!

My wife and I wanted a way to cut down on the heat in our home. After much research we contacted Mark to come out and give us an estimate on sunscreens. We soon met with Ralph, his sales and measurement guy, and while discussing screens we soon added a security door to the mix. Both were something we had wanted, but after finding out that Mark builds his security doors at his shop and can even customize it to your liking, (thats not something youll get from a big box store) we went ahead and pulled the trigger on both.I couldnt be happier. After deciding this summer was going to be the one that I finally got sunscreens installed I went to the internet to find contractors. I initially got a bid from someone else then I found Mark and went over to his office/shop ( this was a definite plus having a business location) and setup an appt. for a bid. It was a pleasure working with Mark and everyone in his company. It was only a week after the bid that he called me saying the screens were done and when could they come install them. Any way after installing sunscreens on all the windows I was amazed at how great they look. I had grids done on the front of the house and they lined up perfectly, superior craftsmanship by Mark and Francisco, now I have the best looking sunscreens in my neighborhood, thanks Mark.

After having the first 6 screens replaced on my house, I was so impressed with their products that I ended up replacing all surrounding screens. Mark was not only professional but honest and very prompt. I would definately reccomend his products to everyone!

My existing sun screens were worn out. I contacted Mark and he explained all my options and the textilene fabric. I ended up removing all my screen myself and taking them to Marks shop to save a few bucks. I also had a few bug screens missing that I was able to measure with arks assistance and they fit like a glove. The new textilene screens turned out great. November, 2014.

I live in Chicago and my family and i have a home in Phoenix, AZ. We had our solar screens damaged by a bad storm and needed them all replaced on our 4 bedroom, 3 bath house. The problem i was facing was that i could not stay in Arizona while the work was to be done to our house and had to make a decision on who to trust to do the job because it absolutely needed to be done.I am the type of guy that does extensive research on product, service and price. So, i gave him 30% down to start the job with the balance due upon completion. He gave me a specific time frame as to when it would be completed which was very important because i would have to make arrangements to fly back in to see the finished work and pay the balance.While i was back in Chicago Mark and i communicated a few times to keep me updated on the progress with detailed pictures of how he was custom making everything to fit perfectly on our windows and doors. I was very pleased with his communication and attention.The day had arrived when i returned to AZ to see the finished job. I was amazed at how beautiful our home looked. it was absolutely transformed! i was blown away by the craftsmanship and quality of the product and installation. Im a resident in No. Scottsdale, and my home (4500 sqft.) was mostly constructed with lots of windows and french doors, as you can imagine, the heat that was being emitted from the glass, with an East/West exposure, is very uncomfortable and costly, my APS bill during the summer months were enormous. I contacted Sunscreens by Mark, and from the moment of the first call, I realized I was dealing with a professional and with someone with tenure in the business. The first appointment was scheduled for measuring, and confirmation before arrival was made by his office, he was prompt and thorough. Installation of screens; Mark was promptly on time again, and as an added bonus, they washed my windows before install and the installation was excellent. We had our sun screen frames rescreened by Mark and he suggested the Textilene® 90 and we are glad we did. We could immediately tell the difference in our family room which faces the west.Our home is mostly windows and we are hoping these screens will make a difference in our APS bill.He did a beautiful job on the rescreening. We had our roll-up sunshades installed by Mark and just love them. The sales person, Alan, was outstanding at showing us all the options and Mark did a follow-up measurement just to make sure they fit perfectly before installation. We liked them so much we had valances made to hide the hardware which wasnt much of an issue but finished them up beautifully.Mark uses marine grade stainless steel in all the hardware and marine grade pull ropes. They operate very smoothly with very little effort. It completely transformed our ourdoor patio into almost a seperate enclosed room that you cannot see thru from the outside. We wanted something that would give us privacy and shade.The fabric used was the 95% sun ray block and is not only durable but matched our house color perfectly. We can already feel the difference in temperature and it hasnt been that hot yet.We ended up using Mark because he has his own shop and does quality work. Everything is built by hand to exacting specs by him. Not to mention the many good reviews we read. Plus I know if there ever is a problem he will come out and fix it. He delivered right on time despite the fact I asked him for some extra time so I could paint and fix a minor roof problem before the installation..If youre looking for a quality product that will last for years, great service and quality work you cant go wrong with Sunscreens By Mark.
