Second time using their service, second experience was not as good as the first. So I left my car like last time, they pretty much tell you first thing they are not responsible for anything lost or stolen from your automobile, its even posted on the window. I figured my car was there almost 2 weeks last time without incident so 1 or 2 days would be fine, well I was totally wrong. Some ransacked my car and of course I mentioned it, they talked to the mechanics and naturally no one took or seen anything. I was informed my car was moved to the third row so I asked, did you lock the doors, yes was the response so then I proceeded to inform him that my car was not broken in, someone used the key, not broken windows and it would be very unusual for a thief to take the time to go through my car with the alarm going off, yes thats correct, my car has an alarm system. I would have just left it alone if they would have just given me back every taken out of my car. So, he said I could make a police report and thats exactly what I did (I of course showed the police there was no damages to my car and opened my door from outside through the window to show the officers my car alarm WORKS)... So, for future reference, if anything is stolen out of your car at this location, make a report. How many coincidences does there need to be, before its not a coincidence. I strongly recommend looking for another location to have your car repairs done or make sure there is absolutely nothing left inside.

I own an operate a private chauffeur service here in the valley. 1 of my suburbans transmissions went out on Sunday. I called several other shops and most of them had a 2 week backup just to get the truck in. Half price promised to have the truck back in 2-3 days. We dropped the car off on Monday when they open and had the car back by 4pm same day! Now that is impressive, that truck and driver only missed one day of work during a busy season. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Honest dependable shop, I absolutely recommend. I had my truck towed here and I couldnt have been more impressed! Sheldon was AMAZING and so knowledgeable. He explained what needed to be replaced and inspected all other areas for potential damage and knew exactly what type of parts would preform best in my truck (lifted diesel). He was extremely communicative and transparent regarding costs and got my truck fixed quickly. Everyone I came into contact with was polite and professional. Took my car to several other places with an issue where my battery kept dying and wasted money having the alternator replaced only to have the problem recur. These guys were very knowledgeable and figured out right away that the issue was a short in my electrical system. I really wish I had gone to them in the first place would have saved me a headache and extra expense.

These guys do good honest work. Will be bringing all my cars here! These guys understand that sometimes the customer will be strapped for cash and even when the repairs are authorized will only do the necessary ones. They changed out the front brakes but left the back ones on because they still had 4-6 months of life in them. Might not seem all that much but for someone that is spending their last dime on car repairs it makes a difference! Edward thanks for taking care of my 08 honda fit!

I discover this new shop and come to find out it’s under new management. Everyone was very courteous and friendly. And the owner David is very knowledgeable. Getting your car fix is always stressful enough. But David made the experience very pleasant. He really took care of me and my Honda. Needless to say that will be coming back.

I have never loved someone I didnt know more than I love the people who work at Half Price Auto Repair!Some loser cut out my catalytic converter as I slept at a hotel nearby. I completely freaked out as I was hours from home and knew nobody. By the grace of God I randomly googled this shop. Chad answered and was so nice and calm. He told me to come right in and he would take care of me. I was back on the road in less than an hour. He kept his word and I was in shock all day that I got so lucky to find them! There was also a young man who helped him and I never got his name but I also owe him a big thank you. Also, as I waited in the lobby all of these guys were incredibly nice to everyone who walked through the door. Make this your TRUSTED mechanic. If I lived in Pheonix I would never trust another soul with my car. Thank you Chad and all of the other amazing people who turned my day from a total nightmare to a minor inconvenience. I would have given this place 0 stars. I had my truck towed here from 2 blocks away because it wouldn’t start which was $50. Edward (I believe he’s the owner) told me he could work with me with fixing it seeing as I hadn’t gotten paid until that following Friday. The following week I went in to find out the problem which we agreed he would fix for $1,682. He then returns my truck to me 48hrs later and it wouldn’t even start to get it off of his lot. He goes under the hood and fidgets with some wires and it then starts. He assured me this wouldn’t keep happening. 4 days later I’m driving and my truck starts to overheat and eventually stops. I put it in park and the transmission fluid burst out all over the ground. I call Half Price Auto and Edward then tells me to bring it in. In attempts to get it back to the shop it stops multiple times and continues to overheat. By the time I get it to the shop Edward then tells me that I’ve ruined my engine while driving back to his shop and that I’ll have to now pay for that out of pocket. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Look Finding someone To do the job right and well often cost you but this place does it all and have many ways to finance in the event that you can’t pay up front. The people here are dope. Eddie, Chad thanks for saving my car. I don’t post reviews often, rarely to be honest but this visit was worth it.

They were amazing! Even though they were overbooked they still squeezed me in! Eddy was so friendly and had me in and out with a oil change and rear brakes within just over a hour! They even did a full inspection of my vehicle that I didn’t even ask for! Best shop in Phoenix hands down.

I spoke with Chad throughout the whole process who was very knowledgeable, helpful, and completely honest about what was going on. I decided to do the work myself, but he still gave me some tips and explained what to look out for. I’d recommend this place to anyone for honest, reliable work.

ZERO STARS. Horrible experience. Thought wed go there to save some money, ended up spending more. Had to take the truck back as soon as we got it fixed because they did not do their job right. They asked us to leave our truck there for a whole week. And the day before we were supposed to get it back, they called to inform us someone had STOLE parts, so they were going to replace them but had to charge us. And just today (got it back Friday) we come to find out there are other parts missing on the truck and the battery all of a sudden is no good when the truck had 0 issues with the battery. Chad is plain rude, he even told my man DONT COME BACK what a way to treat paying customers, right? Changed his attitude a bit after we spoke to the owner, but they still gave us our truck back with issues. We thought we were making the right choice based on the reviews but I DO NOT RECOMMEND :)

Last year I was looking for a place for an oil change, I searched Google and found half price. The first time that I went I asked if there was someone who speak Spanish unfortunately he was off the day, but the person who helped me was very nice and had patience with my basic English. The other times that I went there, Eddie (who speaks Spanish) was working so it made it easier for me to communicate, he is always very nice and explains to me at detail what my car needs..

I was recommended this location via customers Im new to the area and needed a mechanic after a 2600 mile trip my car needed maintenance unfortunately for me my cars AC stopped working and on my drive I dislocated the exhaust pipe and it was making it hard to drive to work.Well when I came in Eddie greeted me and took my car after some time the figured out the problem and gave me options on how to proceed . The repair where gonna take sometime and they provided me with a rental so that I could continue going to work and run my life while my car was being worked on . When it was time to pickup I was expecting an astronomical bill but it wasnt . They are very professional and affordable and will talk to you straight . Ive found my mechanic for all my car repair and maintenance needs .

They provided me with phenomenal service that is unbeatable and the communication is A+. My warranty company on my car is horrible to deal with and Half Price Auto did everything they could to get my car problems fixed. My car is my baby and they knew how much I care about my car. They provide honest great pricing. You will leave that shop as if you were in a new car with a huge smile on your face. I will recommend them to anyone I know that is in need of auto repairs. Moving forward I will go to them for any services I need including oil changes!

Good repair shop.did some research before setting off to a mechanic and half price came back with a lot of positive reviews, took my car in explained the issue and they were able to fix it.Communication was a bit of a problem but it is a busy mechanic shop so I didnt mind calling in asking for updates as I did leave my car there rather than wait in the waiting area due to time constraints in my schedule.Hopefully wont have to go back to a mechanic but if I ever need something done itll definitely be with Half price due to their friendly and educational attitudes in regards to showing you what the issue is and what needs to be done.A huge plus for me was that they also took the inspection fee and added it to the cost of the fix rather than it being an additional cost.

This was my first time going here. Car needed brake service and I figured drop it off Saturday and understandably it would get looked at on Monday. Well, Eddie was able to take a look at it same day AND take care of the repairs. I really appreciate their dedication to service. Ill most definitely be back to see them whenever something else should arise, or just for my routine maintenance.

I will never go anywhere else! My husband and I just started our relocation from the PNW this week, we were had been in Phoenix 3 days and had decided to go out for breakfast and while turning around on a side street all of a sudden there was a loud clunk and grinding noise. We called a tow, called half price auto based on the reviews and arrived a couple hours later with the Jeep. Chad greeted us when we arrived outside and took us in to help us right away, they were busy and made me aware that it could take a few days but they’d get to it as soon as they could. I kid you not we dropped the car off Friday morning and Chad had called us back THE NEXT DAY! He told us what was wrong around 10:30a, We approved the repairs and by 3p we were picking up the car, he provided us with exceptional pricing, and the car is handling like a dream, my husband says it’s steering better than ever. Chad was super prompt, courteous, very transparent with reality which is uncommon and I respect very much, and he did all of this with a smile. He really went above and beyond do get us back on the road. We will continue visiting this shop for all future repairs.

Best mechanics that get straight to the point, they dont try to upsell you on anything and will let you know what you need done on it, what you can skip on or might need to fix down the road. Got my vehicles work done in 1 day got to pick it up the next. Price was way better than expected and the quote they gave me was the price i paid no upselling at all just suggestions on what it may need or what is worn down bad. Now my cars runs even better. Will definitely come back to get maintenance done when it needs to again. (My car is a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta)

Worst mechanical experience ever three weeks in a row and can’t fix my 2005 Nissan Frontier.First week I was charged 890.00 dlls, and Eddie (the “MANAGER”)kept my truck for 3 days and didn’t get it fixed.Second week Eddie charged me 750.12 and kept my truck for another four days and didn’t get it fixed.Third week he kept my truck on Tuesday and DID NOT fixed again, blamed that the manufacturer sent him the wrong part.Still waiting for his call.Fourth Tuesday, Nicky the “Micky Mouse” so called technician did another 4 hrs Micky mouse job

I had the awesome pleasure of speaking and working with Chad Hanchett. I called the repair shop telling Chad that my vehicle was making a rattling sound coming from the left side of my vehicle around the area where the serpentine belt is. I even told Chad that I had googled the sound and thought that it was a pulley. I had my vehicle towed in on Tuesday and the next day (Wed) Chad called me back with what he found wrong on my truck. I was right!!! :) It was my tensioner and idler pulleys. Chad said he would have my truck complete by the next day (Thurs). Chad called me this morning and said my truck was ready to be picked up. Chad even took the time to explain to me exactly what was done to my truck and the reason why. I should have called Half Price Auto Repair last week when the problem first started. Chad made this entire process so easy and stress free. Im a single mom and U.S Army Veteran and Chad made me feel as if he really cared about helping me. The cost of the repair was very reasonable. I brought my 2009 Nissan Xterra a few times to have the Radiator, AC and Oil Change fixed and as always they have done an amazing job with low prices! They are very knowledgeable in the work that they do and will explain and show you in detail what is needed, They will also work with you from the beginning to the end...Never going anywhere else.

If youre cynical of car mechanics, you can rest easy getting repairs done at Half Price Auto Repair. In my experience, Chad (and Eddie) have always been patient to explain all the details of my car problems, and then answer all my but why... and what if.... and cant you just... questions. Their prices seem fair enough, but most important, theyre honest and trustworthy. Highly recommend.

Okay so first off they dont do appointments their method is first come first serve which is understandable but unprofessional, I own a bmw 330i my first car keep in mind I dont know much at this point. I come in and have them check out my car for leaks. I fill out paper work but forget to add that my check engine light is on so I call to see if they can check it out of course they said sure but the day I come in I asked if it was check and they act oblivious to my request even when its the same people that work there. THIS PLACE IS NO HALF PRICE! That bs went out the window when I paid $350 when they only installed one $16 part they hustled me. I wouldnt recommend this place unless you know what youre talking about because they take advantage of people who dont know anything. I even heard they helped fixed up my buddys truck whos an older person and called him telling him what they were doing. They never did that with me because Im a teenager who doesnt no better. They completely lost my respect and I do not plan to return. Now I watch YouTube tutorials on my car and believe me its cheaper to do some things youre self but it takes more time to learn tips and tricks to fix and maintain your car. Please dont let these people hustle you.

My check engine light was on, I took it to a dealership and they diagnosed it for me. I took it to Half Price Auto and they fixed my car for so much cheaper than what I was quoted at the dealership which was over $3000! Chad helped me and was very nice and professional! It took a few days to repair it but they were busy and they fixed it right so I wouldnt have had it any other way. Thank you for your amazing service, I will only bring my car to them from now on!

I was needing headlight replacement. The dealer wanted $70.00 to do this because they said they would have to remove my battery. One of the best shops I’ve ever been too, they beat there projected completion date by a day and that’s with them having a crazy amount of cars in front of me! No where came close to the prices dealer wanted almost 3x the price!

They have gained me as a loyal customer! Edward was very helpful. He told me he was going to do a diagnostic to see what I needed. When he came back with the results I felt they were truthful. They could have easily added on additional repairs but didnt. I also want to state that when I was waiting its nice to have TV with Netflix and for those of you that have kids, there is a kiddie area which is nice. I met Edward on Wednesday. He asked me to bring my car back in the morning. I was there at 7am. Checking to see if they had found my cars problem i learned 2 of the people i spoke with, that morning were now in the hospital with Covid 19. No phone call or anything to me about my health. The owner was mad he had to cancel a trip.

They are always able to get me in right away, very professional, affordable, and patient. They are honest and the waiting room is cozy. I highly recommend!

The worst company I’ve went thru. They overcharged me over my engine not being fixed including the diagnoses, parts of my car were missing and don’t have a clue which mechanics took my original parts and my head of my engine from my 2000 Honda Accord, not to mentioned that they took too long getting a simple problem fixed when I kept calling about my car. Lastly, they don’t work with me on the price range. It’s not half price when they overcharged me when it’s simple to fix.

Not very professional. I dealt with Ed the manager the whole 1 month that they had my car. I called twice a week wondering when my car was gonna get done after being told it was only going to take 5 days cause they had to order a part. Excuse after excuse i finally got a call to come get my car. I arrived Ed showed me what part they took out and while he was showing me an associate of his almost hits another car while trying to move the car into the shop and somehow he ran over his foot or leg in the process. We only got to see that because the associate began to moan. Ed asked if he was ok and he said yes but looked in pain and took a good minute to get up. After a couple days having the car I heard a ticking noise from the engine. I took it to another shop to get it looked at because I no longer trusted half price auto repair and they said the part I got fixed was not fixed. I will do not recommend anyone to this shop. Great learning experience here and chalked it up as a loss.

Half Price is amazing and always goes above and beyond. I called today at 3 and by time I pulled up they were able to get me in and get my oil change done and got me back on the road. They went above just what I asked for with the oil change and tire rotation but also made sure the tires were aired up and even secured a broken screw in the fender liner.

Edward is the guy to see. high volume shop but there is a reason for that, they do great work at a reasonable price. he doesnt try to up sale you, and he tells you straight. ive taken all my vehicles to him and he has always done me right. he will even work with you and do his best to get you back on the road. this is a truly honest shop. no b.s. involved. he will even beat other shops prices. he works hard for the customer. wish all shops were ran like half price auto.

I needed to have my battery changed now changing a battery is usually something that I can do by myselfbut after I purchased a battery I realized it several pieces had to be removed and it was going to take about 45 minutes at least very difficult for me to do. at this stage of the game in my life. so I called them up and ask him about it told him my situation and he said sure you put it in for me. most places will not install something unless they purchase it they dont like to install the part unless they buy it. but these guys had compassion on me and went ahead and install my battery for great price. while I was there I went ahead and had them do an oil change which they gave a great price on all and all this is a great place to do business I really appreciate everything they did for me and I couldnt have had a better day.

Friendly and reasonable place, the best prices in the valley for car repairs. Although my car repair took longer than expected, the quoted labor cost wasn’t increased - they honored their original quote and even worked to provide me with a discount! Their work is quality and the problem was fixed with no additional repairs being needed. Only downside was how messy they left my car - black hands prints on my interior and marks all over my windshield. I cant say enough good things about this shop. We were on a road trip, 6 hours from home, and the transmission went out on a holiday. Adrian and half price were one of the only people open and got my vehicle right in. He even pulled a miracle and got me a new transmission in the vehicle in under 3 days time so I could get back to work. I wish I had a place like this in my town. They are master certified technicians and they really do save you big bucks. He really took care of me in my time of need and even found other issues and took care of them. I cant thank him enough. Outstanding!

First thing is that I told the guy up front that my car was leaking coolant and needed to be fixed. He completely ignored what I wanted fixed and just repaired the other things I also needed fixed. He said he had his guys check it out and it was not leaking coolant. Months later my car is still leaking coolant but now is overheating also. After the repairs were done they did not reinstall all plastic moldings that where removed to do the repairs and they stained and ruined the carpet in the back with white glue paste used for the repair!

Honesty, honesty, honesty. Was referred to this place through a friend and will now always come back here when I am in Arizona. They don’t try to take advantage of you like many other shops. I was highly satisfied with the work they do and the price is great. Definitely come here if you are looking for a mechanic. Shout out to Edward for the professionalism.

I had gone to so many different mechanics in my area... Either theyd try to up sell me because they assumed I didnt know anything or they just did stuff without my approval... so I finally found this truly hidden gem on Google. They are the best. I do suggest calling to make an appointment because I assume these guys book up fast. These ratings are true and these guys are so awesome! They give you great service at such a decent price. These guys really seem like theyre on the up and up. They told me that the person who I was originally planning on getting my car fixed from was being deceptive, and if I hadnt have taken their advice I would have ended up paying double the amount for repairs that my car didnt even need, they gave me a very reasonable price, and even though they had many other customers to serve before me they still had my repairs done within 48 hours, very nice staff as well. Great place all around.

These guys are great. Always pleased with their work. You may have to wait a while occasionally but thats because theyre always so busy. Its the only shop I go to now.

Good customer service, they were willing to work with you on price beyond there half price quote from the big dealers. Only complaint is, they had left oil stains on inside door interior, and outside door. Work on car completed was very satisfactory. Kudos to owner and staff.

I went to 3 different shops including a dealership for a diagnostic when my AC in my Nissan went out. And every please tell me that I needed a full compressor kit. It was going to be an average cost of about $1,600. All those other shops did the same thing just by checking the pressure but none of them diagnosed it correctly. I took my car into Adrian and his team and Jake did a full diagnosis of my AC system correctly and found that it was only the compressor that needed to be replaced and saved me over $800 in repairs. Im grateful for Adrian and his team for the integrity and the way they do business. Having been a service advisor in the past I understand what dealerships do but these guys do it right!
