Personable, dedicated personnel who listen, inquire further if necessary, and then do some technical research before presenting a course of action or repair. The customer is then encouraged to make decisions! An ideal situation! The end result: a brand new OLD STYLE, subtle lamp !

This place is full of beautiful antiques, lamps, and decor! And, they did a great job fixing my lamps. I will definitely be back!

I will start with the positive; they fixed the switch on my lamp and it looks/performs well. Everything leading up to that was poor customer service. When I dropped the lamp off I was quoted $40. It took them over 4 weeks to repair the switch and the only reason it did get fixed after 4 weeks was due to me calling for status checks that 4th week. When I came to pick it up they charged me $175. I did not receive a phone call prior to them fixing it and offering an updated estimate. Had I known it would have costed $175 to fix a lamp switch from the start I would have purchased a new lamp. Lastly, when I inquired about the charges, I was informed that labor costs $75 per hour; therefore $40 was never a realistic estimate as $75 plus parts would be the starting point. Very disappointed in the communication and customer service.

Nice shop. High end items. Expensive store but interesting items. You cant get parts for lamps here, they only want to charge you to fix your lamp.

I had a vintage reading lamp from a camper trailer im restoring rewired and they did a fabulous job. They even went above and beyond as they included the missing mounting bracket and screws for lamp making it easy for me to bolt on. Maybe a little pricey for your average lamp but if its vintage or has sentimental value this is the place for it. every penny spent is worth the customer service and workmanship that goes into your lamp.

The owner/ people up front were super nice and helpful, and found me a finial for an unconventional thread on my lamp. Store has a lovely unique atmosphere and tons of cool old trinkets and objects to see. They have good knowledge of antiques and I would totally recommend :)

I have an antique oil lamp that was converted to electric many years ago. Bit needed a new cord. I took it to Phoenix Lamps, Shades, Repairs, and Antiques. They repaired the lamp and helped me find a shade that fits the style of lamp to replace the ugly mismatched shade I had. Its beautiful now. Their prices were reasonable and I will return if my other similar lamp has problems.

Go elsewhere.I brought in a pair of antique lamps made out of bowling pins and from the first interaction I had, I should have walked out. Not only was I not quoted an accurate price for repair, upon pick up I was charged double the quote that was hastily scrawled on a carbon copy paper. I was also told my lamps would be done the Tuesday following the Saturday I brought them in. When I called two weeks later to inquire as to the status, I was told that they would call me and that there was no way I had been quoted a four day turn-around.Fine, okay.. but then the shades I was quoted $80 for were suddenly $96 dollars and they made sure to call me to tell me they would give them away if I didnt come in and promptly pick them up. Thanks guys, appreciate the pressure and transparency. I spent about $100 more than I was estimated and that was after they took care of a couple of the cheaper parts. All in all, save yourself the effort and do not even walk in the door. It probably isnt worth it and who knows what you might end up spending.. they certainly dont. The person helping you will just look somewhat dumbfounded as to how you didnt know what lamp repair might cost... you might consider asking, but dont worry, they wont tell you until its all over because the total will be much different than when you first walked in. She did offer to sell me light bulbs though, A+ for the suggested sale but I will be buying bulbs anywhere else but here.Oh, and icing on the cake, the lady that helped me throughout this whole ordeal (purple/red hair) said they just throw florescent bulbs in the trash. When I explained that they contained mercury and were highly toxic for the environment she just shrugged and said if I wanted to recycle the bulbs I could do so myself.

The best shades in town! Bring in your lamp to get a custom fit with a sturdy, proportioned harp (included with the purchase of a shade). The shades are linen and made in the USA. They told me they will last for 20 years and I believe them. They make my catalog and vintage lamps look stunning! Beautiful selection of finials to complete the look.

Went in to get harps for two decorators lamps so I could add a Home Depot lamp shade to it. When I told the owner that I was going to place these on 2 night stands he suggested two oval shaped shades. We chose a dark wood finial to go on the top to match the base of the lamp and voila I had two modern traditional lamps that were gorgeous instead of average. Im thrilled with my new lamps. I spotted two more lamps that the owner made from mercury glass vases. Im going back next week to pick those up. Even though I spent more than I was planning Im happy with the quality and the service that I received.

Thank you for your great customer service helping me buy replacement shades for two vintage lamps I brought into your store. Highly recommend!!

This place is great! Over 6000 shades in stock! Chris, the sales clerk, has worked there forever! She was so knowledgeable. Yes, she has a unique personality, but you just have to smile and watch her find the perfect lamp shade. The character is what makes this place fantastic. They have been in business over 60 years in the same location, so they must be doing something right!

If you are sensitive (allergic) to mildew or to the smell of mold, AVOID this old place. The gal is very short on patience when answering the phone, and slow on service once you drive all the way down there for a lamp part. They carry no real necessary lamp parts for vintage or antique lamps that can not already be purchased at ACE Hardware, or better yet, the internet. I recall this store as being a real find, here in Phx., for years and years, but it appears to have boiled down to selling nothing but poorly constructed, overpriced lamp shades. No reason to return.

Went in to ask if they could help repair lamp shade and lady flat out said no. No explanation or alternative suggestions that had to do with them needing to work. They do not color match the wire and it was bent. Even if I bought the paint they still would not make a new shade. Do they only repair lamps that are not broken? Dont come here if you need a repair. Not flexible at all and rude.
