I just picked up my Roughhouse from a warranty service and I am beyond pleased with the communication and the time it took them to fix the issue. With how short staffed and overwhelmed every business is at this time, it’s refreshing to see a company doing their best to insure a happy customer. If you are looking to buy a scooter from a company that stands behind what they sale and gives you honest and fair customer support don’t look any further then PHILADELPHIA SCOOTERS! And to all the staff, thank you for your time and care with my scooter!

They recently moved onto Wharton street in Point Breeze. Store seems much larger and is packed with tons of scooters. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful (once it’s your turn....it seems a bit understaffed). They are the best around when it comes to not only a large inventory but quick and efficient service to your scooter. I wouldn’t think of taking my scooters anywhere else

Such a great place for you to get a superior customer service in sales or maintenance. They will make sure to give the best advice ever dependence in your budget and your ride experience. They only deal with brand names scooters and parts which lead to great experience. I highly recommend you to go there and you will be treated really well. I purchased a scooter from a friend of mine and Shawn was a great help after he answered all my questions about the scooter I bought and honestly with his input and advice I may never bought it since I dont have any experience buying a scooter. Thank you guys for being very helpful and welcoming.

The folks at Philadelphia Scooters really are top notch. I recently purchased a Lance Cali 50. The bike had to be ordered and while I was waiting the staff kept in contact with me updating me with any shipping details they had. When the bike finally came there was an issue with the front brake caliper rubbing and making a horrible noise. The shop initiated a warranty repair and got me my bike back. I can’t say enough about the level of service.

Part of that was the luck of them having just the kind of gem I was hoping for to fulfill a lifelong dream, but I owe a lot to these guys. They were very accommodating and hooked me up with all the knowledge and equipment I needed to get started. My partner and I have been loving our little kymco these past couple months, and we trust that they will help us be great stewards moving forward.

I brought my 2009 Yamaha Vino in for a spring tune up to make sure it was in tip-top shape for scooting around the city. They were super friendly, quick, and reasonably priced. I had it back the same day. They told me exactly what they were going to check, and what to expect if it needed a bit of additional work. They were super thorough with the mechanical check. It didnt end up needing anything more than the general maintenance, which let me know that they were trustworthy and straightforward, and werent going to perform work that it didnt need. I trust them to take care of my little scooter and will always bring it here. I imagine Ill want to upgrade to something more powerful in a year or two, and Ill definitely be coming here to buy!

Review №48

Just to preface this review, I ride my scooter all over Philadelphia pretty much every day all year, unless there is ice or snow. I won’t pretend that I have the mechanical know-how to diagnose and fix problems with my scooter, but I am familiar with how my scooter should run and sound. This review is two stars mostly because dealing with these smug scooter hipsters can be very frustrating.I brought my scooter in in June 2017 for a routine tune up and to fix the loud noise coming from my front brakes. They replaced the front brake pads and did some other work that I was very happy with.Barely three months after getting my brake pads replaced, my front brake started making the same noise as it had before, and I hadn’t jammed really hard on the brakes at any time. I explained clearly that my brakes were making the exact same sound that they did before, but the guy on the phone and in the shop took a patronizing tone with me, as if I was bringing in my scooter for hearing the normal noises that a scooter makes. I understand that they need to ask detailed questions to diagnose problems, but they could have listened to me and asked questions without the attitude. They decided that my rotor needed replacing, and cleaned my current rotor for free (which I really appreciated, even though it didn’t fix the noise), and told me that they didn’t have rotors but that they had been ordered and should be in within the next week. I was told to call and check that the new rotors had arrived, but that the rotors should be there soon and it would be a quick fix.I have called the shop three times since then over a span of two weeks. The first time, they didn’t know whether they had been ordered or not, and told me that they haven’t been in. The second time, same story, I just asked them to call me once the part gets in. I asked if I could give them my number and the guy told me, “Oh it’s fine, I’ll just write your name down on the board and we’ll look your number up when it gets in”. The third time I called, the guy was actually very nice, but said he had no idea whether or not the rotors were in or even ordered.I am extremely frustrated with their disorganization and poor customer service. Because it’s starting to get cold and I want my scooter to be in the best shape possible for the winter. My theory is that the people at Philadelphia Scooters don’t put much effort into giving good service because most of their customers don’t have many convenient options close to Center City/South Philly for scooter maintenance. I don’t have a Chinese scooter, but it amuses me that they refuse to work on Chinese scooters and try to pass that off as a testament to how fantastic their shop is. That smugness is pretty representative of what Philadelphia Scooters is about.Happily, my boyfriend rides a motorcycle and recently got great service on his bike at a new place around 25th and Tasker (Keystone State Cycles) that works on all types of scooters. I’m going to take my scooter there from now on, and if indeed the rotor needs replacing, I’ll order the part myself and have them put it on.

Bought my scooter from here 6 years ago, came in last week for repair. One of the main reason I came here was because I did not know anywhere else that fix moped (mine wasnt running after 2 years of dormant). Anyway, the same guy I bought the scooter from 6 years ago helped me. His attitude was pretty much the same from years ago; rude. At least this time he apologized and then laughed it off. They fixed my moped and got it to run, but when I asked the guy what was wrong with it, his answered was I dont know and later on clarified that he was not the one who worked on it.Long story short, I would only come back here if I dont have a choice.

The work on repairs is great. The price is a bit expensive (i.e., $80/hour), but when they put the hands on your scooter they fix it properly. And they dont overcharge for excessive time like they do in other places.Meeting with the guys is a bit awkward because they seem often to have something better to do than talk to the customer, but beside that the work they do is quite good.

I thought I posted a review a long time ago...I guess not. Anyway, I swear by this place. The guys know their stuff, and treat their customers like old friends. I thought Id get a 50cc buddy to get to work, so I could give up the subway. Dan told me I should think about the 125, and he was totally right. Instead of just having a commuter vehicle, Ive really come to love the scooter lifestyle. Id be trading it in at this point if I hadnt taken his advice.

This is THE ONLY place to purchase your scooter. Their is 1 particular mechanic named Sean who fixed some minor issues for me today. He was professional and polite and was not bothered at all to help and answer all my rookie questions. I bought my 50cc Genuine Buddy a few years back AND still treated as a brand new customer. They never try and over sell you. AND most importantly for ME? No ? is a silly ?. The staff are experts in their field and rather than gloat? They speak to you with patience all with a smile. I will be returning to purchase a scooter cover soon. Im sure i could do internet seach for best price blah blah blah.. I know i will get QUALITY from Philly scooters and trust them 100%.
