This particular shop rite has a manager who thinks she has to guide grown up people into making their own decisions when shopping.I was there today and did not want to use the self check out line because it is usually a problem and people get impatient.So I went to the cashier line and the manager came over to me and said why dont you use the self check out lineI replied,,because I dont want to.She was a bit offended and said I am only trying to help I said I am helped,why dont you put somebody behind the register seeing only 3 were open out of 25 lines on a saturday morning.So I dont appreciate being dictated to like a child.After all the only freedom we have is the freedom to decide for ourselves.

In and out on an early Sunday football season morning! Very clean and organized. I never have any issues when stopping here. Also there is always something as a surprise to pick up like Cacias Pizzaz pizza!!. #lunchisready

Three cases of water for $8.88 no bad for a hot day in South Phily. Twenty four bottles in each.Employees were very helpful, lines were moving fast on Sunday afternoon when every Mommy and children are out shopping for deals like this one.Im very grateful and thankful.

I love my Shop-Rite! Maybe not every trip but this trip was very pleasant. The music is always great & the workers are awesome.My brother hurt his knee so I was shopping for 2. By the time I got to Checkout I knew there was no way I could get these bags loaded & unloaded. My cashier Rita told me about Home delivery. Rita & Lisa (Co ordinator) helped me with everything.. They are both women I would like to have working for me. The delivery guy was so helpful & awesome Thanks to all.

It was a decent experience. I gave it a 5 star because every employee I had to ask for help, gave some type of help. Did not go out of their way, but I wasnt ignored. Lol The store is clean, bright, stocked well. I return frequently, because to me its one of the best stores.

A well organized store to get all needed items and we r happy to explore a substitute king arthur whole wheat flour for Indian chakki flour. Apart this so many other healthy options of stone ground grains store and it also has Indian basmati rice which is a plus.

Everyone who works here is great. Huge kudos to the bakery - the cookies and cakes are delish. They outdid themselves with my son’s birthday cake this month, I was so impressed. This is my go-to store for regular grocery shopping as well, lots of organic food Available now and good prices.

Store is a zoo! People are rude and ignorant. I guess the frustration of store always being overcrowded and slow lines will cause people to be edgy.

Horrible delivery service. Delivery was 15 min late. No call from store.Bag ripped, broke jar of pickles, ice cream melted.

Sunday night the produce section is empty. However, go on a Tuesday and its fully stocked. Employees are very nice.

The store itself is wonderful. Tons of variety and great quality. Unfortunately it is filled with extremely rude customers, including a man who hit my stroller with my baby in it rather than say excuse me. Most customers are too selfish to return the carts as well. This really puts a damper on an otherwise excellent store.

I have tried to place a shop at home order.Very, very frustrating!On hold for 45 minutes- got through an order and pushed the place order button...NOTHING!The website is dysfunctional... it’s sooo important to have a great customer experience! Employees are awesome. The last few times at shoprite a man followed me through the store pushing a cart and sniffing an orange, breaking news he didnt put anything in the cart or buy the orange he sniffed.

This location gets 5 stars for the simple fact they are THE ONLY one to carry my Nanas favorite lunch meat..Coteghino! I walked in and asked for it and the staff lit up and asked me what do I know about that 🤣 its a South Philly thing. You go anywhere else and ask and they look at you as if you have 5 heads. LOL! Thanks guys for carrying this product!

Had few issues with the customer service at this store, one of the thing is they always talk in condescending way to me since I have accent. Typical South Philly people. No apologies or nothing when I had to come back there because of their cashier’s mistake. The other occasion had to return an item but they won’t take it. After wrote a complaint on their website, a manager called me to rectify this issue. He said to come to the store, just bring the receipt, don’t need to bring the item & they would refund the money. But when I went there, had to deal with the same customer service lady who refused me the first time & refused me again because I didn’t bring the item. I asked to speak to her manager, it was their other manager who came to talk to me but won’t honor what was the first manager told me over the phone & saying he would lose his job. They told me to come back when the other manager is there. What a great customer service to humiliate their regular customer like that! I get their store is always busy so they don’t feel the need to appreciate their customer with better customer service experience. But hey there are many other stores to go to with cheaper prices, good quality products and better customer service! I’ll spend my money elsewhere!

Friendly cashiers..always has what ai want

This market is always crowded. One thing i cant be to certain of is the pricing does not seem consistent with the shoprite only 20+ blocks away which is honestly walking distance, if you ask me(veteran).

Ive been a customer of Shop Rite for years. The past 6 months they have changed. Make sure you look at you receipt. They have changed coupon polices on their own and when you get to The check out then they tell you. Be sure you question the service desk before you go,into line. They also have checkers that do not know how to bag. They put fresh fish and meats in with other items not wrapped. They have the lunch meats not ringing what they are. I have been in there everyday and they would run out of a sale item on Wednesday and not restock until Sunday. They have done this several times. They blame it on they only sent me one case. Its a bait and switch. Ill never come back to this Shop Rite. Older people have me shop for them and they trust me to get them the items that are listed for the price listed. This will not stand with me or them. Make sure you look over you receipt.

Always clean. Employees really accommodating. Well stocked shelves and good selections of produce and meats.

Quickly found the last four items on my Thanksgiving list and checked out fast.

Staff is very friendly. If you cant find a product theyll stop what their doing, walk you to the location and find it for you. Lisa at the front end of the store always greets you with a hello and makes you feel like family. Prices are good and they deliver.

They were doing a great job yesterday with scheduled Covid related cleaning in the story incl closing the deli section temporarily to wipe everything down, someone was handing out sanitizers to wipe the handles of your shopping cart, employees were masked, store was not overcrowded, it was very well stocked and care was taken to not overcrowd while checking out.

I got what i wanted. I had 5 items went to costumer service did transaction fast in and out. Costumer service was polite and caring.

I love this ShopRite. I always come here to buy all of my favorite cheeses, especially when cooking for the holidays and special occasions. So far this is the cleanest, well put together and organized ShopRite in the city of Philadelphia. I shop here a lot while Im in Philly... They are very convenient and built this store with the customers in mind. They have a call phone charging booth for the customers to use free of charge, dining area with a television and microwave, an extra private bathroom for disabled customers and plenty of hot American and Asian food to go. Furthermore, the customer service and security are top notch. The best ShopRite in Philly hands down.

Wonderful shopping experience

This ShopRite is by far better than any of the others in the area. However, the same guy who works at the seafood counter is extremely unsanitary. He constantly yells and speaks over your food while handling it joking with other associates. He doesn’t wear any gloves nor did he have on a mask. You’d think during these times it would be required for these guidelines to be followed. Clearly he’s cool enough with management that he feels he can act and handle food the way he wants.

Great place to shop. Especially on senior Wednesday.

They always have good sales it seems like they are never or rarely out of stock Plus my niece works there its always a good thing to have someone on the inside to get the real feel of a place

(10/21/2021) I would like to talk about a few of the wonderful staff members at this Shoprite. Brandon in maintenance does an amazing job with keeping the bathrooms clean and sanitary. There have been spills that I have reported and he has gotten there right away to ensure customer safety.Mary who works in-store is a sweetheart. I always look for her to say hello when I am shopping. Charles, who does the carts is another sweetheart.(Older Review) This is the best ShopRite that I have been to! I have visited on several occasions and my first visit was spectacular. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to go above and beyond to help me. I was treated like I matter. This will be my ShopRite from now on.The bathroom was so clean. It smelled nice and was spotless. The custodial team does a great job! Im terrified of public bathrooms, so when I see a well-maintained one, I praise it and whoever cleans it.

8/14/2020 -- They only had the kiddy scissors & the ice cream novelties selection was pretty sparse, but nothing else that I really paid attention to.

Funny how you miss things that should stand out . Each checkout lane has names of streets. 😂 Friendly staff .

I love ShopRite, especially this location. I always feel welcome here. And, their cooked food is so good. And, their salads are good too. I especially love their cheese steaks are delicious and worth every penny that you spend on it.

Went yo Shoprite on Sunday and bought corned beef because I planned on making corned beef and cabbage today. The sell by date was Oct 5th. As soon as I opened it I could smell it was bad. Then I realized they slapped another label over the sell by date. So disappointed in you Shoprite. I go to you because this is the type of thing the Acme near me does. Dont you care if someone gets sick???
