I got the Spring Garden cheesesteak. It is usually a chicken cheesesteak but I asked the nice man if you could make it a beef Cheesesteak and he said yes. Peppers and garlic are what make it a spring garden cheesesteak. This was a well-made cheesesteak. I did not like the $8.10 price tag. At $8.10 it needed more of everything. I would have loved this Cheesesteak at $6. Good overall experience.

If you need quick breakfast (and coffee) or: quick lunch, this restaurant is sufficient. The staff who serve are really very nice and prepared the order as exactly what was ordered. Last but not least it is totally in-expensive. I spent less than five bucks for my breakfast, plus a few for the tip.

This place is dirty. Today, 11-01-20, I observed Richard the owner on the grill cooking food and repairing the broken toilet. Absolutely disgusting! The waitresses are so rude and inadequate and most of them are drug addicts. The owners have no leadership/management skills, therefore the workers treat customers in a less than professional manner. This used to be a decent place to grab breakfast. Save your money and time! Go elsewhere!

Its very nice place to eat

I have just eaten one of the best omelettes I have ever had in my life. They have some really good food for decent prices. I havent had much of their dinner menu but the breakfast is definitely on point. The customer service could be a little better in the front but other than that I would try this place out.

They are open very early so I am able to get me some breakfast because I am working at this time of the day?

I love the food here and the prices. I order take out from here every month at least. However, whoever is answering the phone nowadays is extremely rude. This is the third time in a row I’ve called in and basically get screamed at because whoever is on the other end seems to hate their life. Sorry, but in this environment, be thankful that people want to support your business and that you have a job. Unless they have someone else on the phone taking orders, its making me not want to continue to order from there.

Excellent prices for breakfast. Fairly large menu, over all nice atmosphere. Quick in and out when a table was available. I have also taken out a few times and have always been satisfied.

The make the best chip of cream beef in the city...and you cant go no where in philadelphia,breakfast dinners and get fresh squeezed amish orange juice.....ITS SO GOOD .YOU CAN CANCEL THE COFFEE AND GET THE AMISH ORANGE JUICE..AND IT HAS THE SAME EFFECT AS THAT ONE CUP OF COFFEE... I DRIVE THERE 3 XS OUT THE WEEK TO GET BREAKFAST AND I LIVE IN ONLEY

My niece tried me and her other aunt; the breakfast was awesome! The server gave us exactly what we wanted enough they dont really serve fruits like they should. But overall, everything tasted great!!!

Great breakfast food !

I go there around 530AM. Service is professional. There good is always good. Ive had their pancakes, french toast and eggs. Ive never been disappointed. I recommend the Giambott. Its eggs sausage cheese and home fries all cooked together. You never leave hungry. I call my order in and its always ready for pick up.

To be honest Ive been going here since I was a small child over 20 years, I went this Saturday for breakfast, the food was delicious! The older lady waitress (she has a little bit of a mobility issue, which I understood) was rude and had the nerve to hold the receipt while I signed for my meal and direct me to where to fill in for the tip! She was rude the entire meal but smiled for that. I will not be patronizing the establishment. This was all in the view of management.

Feels like home! This restaurant is a family establishment and you feel from the moment you walk in. Came to eat here with my boyfriend whos family has frequented the place for YEARS. The older lady behind the register came to greet him and even provided a house salad and rolls on the house. We ordered lunch and everything was good. Pizza slices are HUGE. The shrimp basket had enormous shrimp and the veggie wrap was cooked to perfection with a side of sauce for serving. I would def come back again and try other items on the menu. I see from other reviews that it is more famous for breakfast. 3 lunch meals were ordered the day I came it was a little under $30. Thanks for the hospitality guys. Hope to see you soon!

The salmon cakes at breakfast are the yummiest best! Their chipped beef is the best! They do scrapple right! It’s a small restaurant and you can see the chefs cooking and when you get your food it’s hot and toast is warm. Their lunch specials are always yummy especially on Fridays. The coffee is great. The service there is great. The waitresses are super friendly And the ladies give really Family- friendly service. I’ve been going there for more than 20 years and no matter where else I go I come back to Spring Garden Street because they have the best breakfast always.

Love this place! Food is very good, reasonably priced and great service. If you wait in line at some of the other places near by, or pay an arm and a leg for breakfast, come here. You will be treated wonderfully. Breakfast is great; try the potatoes with onions. On Monday, go for the chicken noodle soup with a chicken salad sandwich!!

Food was good! You can seat yourself. I ordered eggs, grits, toast and sausage with hot tea. I did not like the beef sausage at all. It didnt taste like any beef links Ive ever had. Although I left the sausage on my plate, I was full from the rest. Its a clean, old restaurant with run down booths and a mom and pop feel. Take out or eat in youll be satisfied. 4 stars due to old furniture and that sausage.

This place has the best Grits...Also, I enjoy the spinach and feta cheese omelet...fair warning call in advance for take out if your not going to stay and eat.

Great place to eat. Good food with early hours. Weekday breakfast specials include coffee or tea. Lunch specials are usually under seven bucks and mostly include sandwich, fries, soup, and coffee. Unfortunately only meter parking in area after 7am.

My fav breakfast spot hands down!!! Chipped beef, salmon cakes, omelets, Belgium waffles and good coffee at a price that cant be beat. Wait staff is friendly. Premises are clean. Love it since I was a kid.

Wow, my first time eating here today and it was absolutely horrible. It’s a Friday morning so I expected it to be a little busy. We waited 10 mins for a table that was poorly wiped down with some water.Once seated, a waitress who showed absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever took our order.We stayed optimistic through the horrible first half of our experience. I am someone who had worked in the restaurant industry for years so I understand things get busy.We waited over 50 minutes for our meal. It was 3 of us who ordered breakfast. Not once did the waitress come over just to CHECK on us. We sipped our watered down coffee and waited patiently for 50 minutes for French toast, an omelette and some salmon cakes.We watched as the restaurant cleared out and people ordering to go left.I walked up to what appeared to be the managed on duty and asked her what the deal was. She Also showed super poor customer service skills.Finally the food comes... my omelette was lackluster AT best. My one friend who ordered the salmon cakes had eggs that were runny and watery. The friend who ordered the French toast expressed his disdain on how the French toast just tasted like a glob of cinnamon.When checking out I also noticed they charge you a 4% service fee if you’re using a credit or debit card.I’m not sure how this place is even still open especially since the kitchen staff left the back door open and the kitchen looked dirty.I wanted to like this place, I want to support small business but this restaurant is trash and has no idea how to properly manage a busy rush. I’m giving 2 stars in stead of 1 because my omelette was subpar.I left our waitress $5 on a $15 check because I still respect the food industry workers. I had $10 in my pocket to leave her but the service was so terrible I couldn’t bring myself to leave the extra $5.

A great place to have breakfast, staff is friendly and professional and has a neighborly feel. Breakfast is what you expect it to be. Nothing over the top just good food fast and friendly service, oh at a reasonable price.

This place use to be a great place for a meal but baby... the wait time is ridiculous cause the food is not what it is to be and you have your great great grandmothers as your waitresses. Not bashing the seniors but no! I sat down at.at table and all I heard the waitress say is be there in 1 min hun 10 times w/ out even giving me coffee.... and this was not the first time Ive had bad service I will not be back trust me!!😡

I used to order here alot food was delicious. My last visit i was served burnt homefries and burnt bacon i didnt discover it until I got to work and opened my platter. I wont be back

Love this restaurant! So friendly and homey for breakfast or lunch. Service is fast and friendly and quality is high. Can be noisy at busy times (thats why 4 star instead of 5)

Awesome place! Has a diner feel to it. Great pancakes and omlettes, but the really awesome part were the home fries - all fried potato, no onions. Place was busy for a Sunday morning, but we were able to find parking and get seated quickly.

They forgot my bacon this morning but that is the only time I personally ever had a problem

Our waitress told us she was coming at least 4 times, we waited about ten minutes. When she finally arrived we ordered our food she messed up the toast order and the food items came out at all different different times. First breakfast burrito, then a little bit later French toast, then a little bit later eggs, and then pork roll side, then the wrong toast last. She did not refill our coffees. I sat behind what must have been the silverware rack so waitresses were loudly shuffling silverware constantly and reaching over me to grab rolled utensils. The food was typical diner fare at a reasonable price, but with so many options to eat in the area I dont think I will be going back there.

Horrible service. We sat in there for almost an hour and our order didn’t even make the grill yet. Since this diner’s new owners came on, the service has definitely changed. The system that they use for the grill and waitresses is horrible. You have to wait too long for your order. It was never like this before and weve been coming to this diner for years. Used to like this place a phone order and then got a call back about 6 mins later about they don’t have grits 45 mins before closing. I don’t think it was to much to make a batch it being a breakfast place and Im a regular thats orders the same meal on average 3x’s a week, however I said make it without an substitution. (I don’t eat potatoes) to my surprise I was still charged full price! Regretfully this will be my last time patronizing these folks because of such foolishness! Either your a restaurant or not!

I been coming to this establishment for years since I was a teen, this was the go to spot for breakfast at 4am decades ago. The staff always been friendly since I been coming in, the establishment did close for a bit due to leasing issues but reopen again and later switch ownership. I definitely recommend checking out this diner if you in the area and looking for a reasonable breakfast.Update as of 3/13/19***This place has gone downhill since the change of staff and ownership, place a order for pick up got there and had to wait an additional 15mins while my sandwich got made. Sad cause this establishment used to be my spot now the food is mediocre and the service is horrible..

Terrible customer service. Canceled an order because they took an hour before they even started to make an order of 1 breakfast sandwich. Then tell me they cant take any more orders from my address. Not a problem Liberty has better food and service.
