Found Tri State Computech off Google and this was my first visit there. I sent in my laptop (ASUS Zenbook) to Fred for repairs following water damage and Fred was very helpful and honest in diagnosing the issue and recommending the follow-up actions needed. Even though my laptop could not be brought back to life because of the extent of water damage, I am still very appreciative of the assistance given by Fred who was incredibly efficient (diagnosis took a day) and patient. When it comes to computer matters, its important to find a merchant that you trust and TriState Computech has proven to be one such company.
Cant say much stopped by to check flyers in the window. Looked like good laptops(refurbished) good prices.
Awesome customer service
5 min from 30th street station by car. Stopped in for a laptop charger/cord after getting off of my train. They were super friendly and knowledgeable with a lot of options. In and out. I was also warned about letting my laptop get below 10% battery, which I had no idea about.
I took my Dell laptop here. It needed a new caddy, hard drive, and operation system (windows 7). The guy that took care of my was very nice and professional. He constantly kept me updated on the status of my laptop and let me know what parts he needed to order and how long it would take. My laptop was done within a week. I totally recommend!
Fixed my pc problem on the same day and got a fan installed for a good price.
I had an issue with the power supply on my Toshiba laptop and he was able to solve my issue in under 5 minutes. When you walk in, you get the very distinct feeling that the employees here live and breath computers. If I have any issues with anything computer related, this will be my default place to go. Also their pricing is VERY fair. Like... dont know how they arent a national chain yet fair. Love these guys!
After looking endlessly for a decent computer repair shop in Philly, I stumbled across Tri-State Computech. I was having a difficult issue to solve with my computer and Fred at Tri-State Computech gave me fantastic service. He tested out my CPU at first and it wasnt the issue, so I later brought my full build in and he tested all the parts and let me know the my motherboard was causing the problem. He did this all for a great price and actually worked PAST his usual closing time for a Saturday. If I have any future problems with my computer, Im going straight back to Tri-State Computech.
Excellent prices. Their English is not great, but if you can get past that, you will find serious bargains on computers and parts. If you are trying to build a custom system and are smart enough to know what you are looking for, this is the place to visit. They are OK at helping newbies, but it is really a place for more experienced computer pros.
Great Service
Had a workstation built here. The guy stayed well within my budget, showed me a parts list before building, and went out of his way to make sure it would take future upgrades. Works without a hiccup 1 year later

I had them do a minor job--replace the power supply in my PC--and they did it very well, in a timely fashion. The price was very reasonable as well ($25). I would definitely go back to them for computer repairs.
Knowledgeable, fast, affordable, explains everything. Fixes and sells rigs. This place is a resource.
Good guy.
WARNING!!! AFTER A SIMPLE REPAIR WE GOT OUR COMPUTER BACK AND THE HARD DRIVE WAS WIPED!!! WE LOST EVERYTHING!We took our computer to Tri-State because it would not turn on. After Tri-State looked at the computer they informed us that it needed a new power supply. We gave the ok to do that and were then told that Windows would need to be re-installed as the computer kept restarting on its own. We gave the ok to re-install Windows. When we got the computer home, we found that our computer was completely wiped. All of our photos, documents, and music were gone! We were never told that re-installing Windows would wipe our hard drive. Tri-State never backed up the data or told us that this would happen. We took our computer back to see if the data could be restored. . It was there for 3 additional weeks and no progress was made on the restoration. We were told a couple of programs were run and could not retrieve the lost data. During those 3 weeks we only received one call informing us of the progress. I voiced my displeasure about the entire situation and requested a refund. I was told no refund would be given but I could receive store credit. I would never trust my computer to Tri-State again so I turned down the offer but I still think I am entitled to a refund. They deleted all of our business files, our treasured photos, and all of our music and were only given an insincere apology. The customer service here is abysmal.
My Dell was recently having problems with AC Adapter and disabled battery warnings, and it wasnt charging. I took it to Tri State and the repairman said it was a problem with the jack, and it needed to be replaced (as I had suspected). He ordered the new part and had it installed SO quickly (I took the laptop there on a Friday, it was fixed by Monday). Now it charges just fine, and the new jack is secure. I left a 69 dollar deposit when I dropped the computer off, and then he charged me an additional 60 dollars plus tax when it was fixed (he told me this would be the total from the get-go). I doubt I would have found faster or friendlier service in Philly, so Im extremely happy! This place isnt fancy, and the guys English isnt perfect, but they got the job done! 4.5/5 stars
I needed a replacement laptop screen, and Fred had it fixed in a day. Great work, great service!
