Was a little mad they took a while to make my food but then i saw my breakfast panini with a huge fruit salad on side... all for 10 dollars! That made up for it!

The absolute best breakfast spot in old city. Run by the nicest people, and still mostly a hidden gem! Everything we get from here is made fresh, seasoned perfectly, and made by someone who cares about the end product. The only down side is closed on Sunday but we fully support the staff having a day off and having work life balance. Stop in and you won’t be disappointed.I go at least once a week and refuse to get a breakfast sandwich anywhere else!

I have been here to pick up grubhub orders a few times now and the place is usually a hit or miss with wait times... sometimes i will be in and out in minuts other i could be there for up to 30 mins. However today was the kicker it took them almost an hour to get me my order... they were pretty slamed! To make up for it they apologized a few times and made me a ginger lemonade on the house, which was good!

Good place to get something to eat! everything is fresh and tasty, only problem the place does get loud! they usually have classic rock playing pretty loud... you can turn it down! good place to get a cup of coffee and really good lunch but maybe not to work!

Ive been selfishly holding back on a review of this place for a while. As the reviewer before me mentioned, this place still feels like a hidden gem. People are great, food is just as good - if not better. I order here at least once a week.

I was in Philadelphia for a few week for work and had an Airbnb near them they had some really good coffee and breakfast. the bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel was my goto! oh and they even let me go through the vinyl selection they have up front

Frankly,I dont know that this kind of place exists in this old city,Philly center city neighborhood.Since I discovered here,the spicy dragon panini,their smoothie and mango,pineapple green tea has been my best meal.The tall guy in the front desk is awesome with his customer service and all the staffs are very nice and friendly.I have been recommending my friends to this place since I discovered it.I love ❤ you guys.

Staff is very friendly and the tarts are amazing. I found the tarts at a Al a mousse and finally found the original store here. Staff gave me a free banana mocha coffee latte during my Uber delivery shift. Thanks again !

Torch Wood is the best! Everything on the menu is always fresh, their protein smoothies are to die for, the paninis are the perfect size to fill you up without weighing you down, and THE DRINKS! The iced caramel macchiato tastes like one you’d have in Italy. You can see and taste the care that goes into the preparation of every item. We love Torch Wood! They never disappoint!

The salads are huge and always super fresh, the paninis are delicious with lots of creative combinations, and the smoothies/seasonal drinks are amazing with a huge selection. I order from here a lot and Ive never had a bad meal. Its obvious they really care about the freshness and quality of the food they serve. They pay attention to the little details that other places dont - a true gem in Philly!

The cafe was available on the Caviar app, so we ordered lunch from there. I ordered a vegetable sandwich, but it came with a lot of spices on the sandwich, so I was not able to eat it (I’m super sensitive to spices). There were not many vegan options other than a veggie sandwich or salad. However, everyone else with me enjoyed the sandwiches they ordered!

We use Torch-Wood Cafe to cater our office meetings and let me just say, they are incredible! They have the BEST paninis, wraps, sandwiches, and salads. They pack their sandwiches full and give big portion sizes. Our employees always ask for Torch-Wood.

I loved everything about this place. We had breakfast there twice and stopped for just coffee another time. They remembered how I liked my coffee after the 1st time in there. The food was delicious and made fresh. Everyone was so friendly and the space was super clean. I really wish I could take this place back to Tennessee with me!!

Hands down best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Every ingredient is fresh and staff is friendly. Ordered them both in store and through Grubhub. Also, I’ve been eating here for years and experience is consistent.

Owner does not care about delivery, doesnt properly secure items for travel. Owner complains that its not his responsibility. Owner is more concerned over saving a few cents for a lid and extra bag and hoping the delivery person gets stuck with the bad review and refund. Owner does not care about his customers.

I ordered from Torch-Wood through Grubhub. The delivery arrived earlier than expected and it was so nicely packaged. The attention to detail made me wish I was a food blogger. The sandwich was tasty but beyond that you could tell that someone made and packaged that meal with love.

Great food with creative touches most markets wouldnt even think of. Portions are beyond what youd expect, especially for the salads. Theyre huge, fresh and much more satisfying than most salads at restaurants and markets. Delivery is usually quick and respectful.

Very impressed by the folks at Torch-Wood. Nice little family fun store. Great smoothies, iced tea and naturally flavored lemonades. They even put out a bowl of water for our overheated pooch. Very happy to support a neighborhood business and looking forward to our next visit.

My girlfriend and I ate here at least once a week for the 2 years we lived around the corner. The food is always fresh and quickly prepared. The staff always went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. Every bad review is from some disgruntled uber eats/ grub hub driver or someone complaining their coffee was too hot. There are legitimate reasons for bad reviews but dont spam the page because you didnt read the menu properly or because you felt the staff slighted you. Its a food joint and a good one at that; no one complains when the staff at Genos passed over you because youre not ready with an order! Double standards, welcome to Philly; a little bit of attitude is expected.

The people who work here are so sweet, and the food is so yummy and fresh! They have TONS of options, including a large smoothie list, lots of breakfast sandwiches, paninis, salads, etc. They serve La Colombe coffee if youre into that! I got a panini and they gave me a large fruit salad on the side, which was super nice and very tasty! I will go out of my way to come back to this place. Perfect little spot!

This Cafe is absolutely perfect. The family that owns and operates it is always very respectful and polite. The food is phenomenal and the choices are so incredibly unique that it makes you want to try out everything. The food is so delicious and has the freshest ingredients. I live in New Jersey, but whenever I can travel to Philly, I love getting Torch Wood! The chicken salad subs are the best Ive ever had. The prices are absolutely reasonable and thats coming from someone who makes about 30 thousand a year... They even recently remodeled and its such a welcoming warm decor. Its not a place for high society, nor is it a pub. I highly reccomend this place to anyone who just wants an excellent meal for a good price and a pleasant Middle-American atmosphere.

The parents, as well as the son and daughter act like they dont want to speak when I see them in the store or outside the store. Kind of rude to me no matter how nice I am towards them and no matter how much I smile as to be friendly. I wrestle with myself to not go there to get a cold soda when Im working hard and become thirsty. Some days I think Id rather walk 1000 miles to get something to drink if I had to in order to avoid going to this place. I dont understand how we spend our money in these foreign stores, yet they show little appreciation if any. I think they talk about me everytime I leave the store. Im still going to be nice and speak though. Im not letting them change me. Im just going to stop spending money there

Our office orders food from here and I was very impressed only two orders in. So far Ive had the jalapeno aioli hot panini and their bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant - both were on point. Great ingredients, seasoned well, and cooked to perfection. Their attention to detail is great too - everything is neatly wrapped, labeled, and obviously managed by someone who cares about their customers and food. Give them a shot!

If you like deli meat on a buffalo chicken salad, this is just the place for you. Same goes for the Cuban. Huge disappointment for people like my boyfriend and I who clearly didn’t read hard enough when ordering from uber eats.

The food here is fan-freaking-tastic. I have only gotten this food through grubhub so I cant really attest to the environment or service at their establishment, but I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the food is delicious, fresh and generous. Ive ordered the Twisted Cuban, the dragon, the prosciutto pannini and the deluxe Italian sub. Every single one of them was delicious and fresh! I highly recommend this place and will be updating my review once I have a chance to actually go to the restaurant itself.

These people are crooks. They dont want to give you your change back even if it is 5 cents. They act like they forgot about your change. The problem is they do this over and over again. The biggest problem with the people that run this place is that they make up prices for everything that you purchase. Instead of them scanning what you are about to purchase they type in a price that is always much more expensive than it should be. Every corner store market in this neighborhood is dramatically cheaper than this place. For example a yogurt cost 3$ when the corner store Sassafrss 2 blocks away it cost 1$. If you arent paying attention they will take your change and raise the prices on everything you are buying.. If you go in here request they scan everything. I would just suggest you go to another corner sore in the neighborhood and save yourself the time and money.
