Coffee is ok, but the (male) staff is almost never friendly, the girls that work there are great however. I hesitate making this review because I don’t know what could be going on in their personal lives that would lead to them being rude. If it has anything to do with the coffeeshop, I hope they’re being paid enough. It just doesn’t feel great picking up coffee from someone with a rude attitude like they spit in it. I usually go to the other green line on Baltimore to avoid this.

We got the vegan breakfast burritos and the chai lattes with oat milk this morning, both were amazing! Just note you’re not able to sip on any drinks you bought there while waiting for the rest of your order, I pulled my mask down and took a sip to taste my latte and the barista quickly asked me to “please keep my mask on” - and quickly pointed out we could wait outside for our sandwiches. It was awkward and made us a little uncomfortable. We just stepped outside and waited for your burritos to heat up. End note: food and drinks are great, take your stuff to go to :)

As far as small, local coffee shops the green line cafe is wonderful. The staff has always been friendly and I love spending my time/money here. The way the restaurant is set up I have met and made a few friends just by being open to conversation and I really enjoy that about this place. When the pandemic ends this will be a nice option if you are looking to sit down and hang out with friendly people

This is a neighborhood favorite spot at 45th and Locust. Well lit, cozy, and a great space to work. This space is usually crowded since a lot of people are working here. While the space is not that big, it had plenty of seating space, especially by the windows.

Green Line Cafe was alright. I cant help but want a bit more in terms of service from a place with only a sparse population of folks on laptops on a weekday afternoon. Food was great flavor-wise, though the presentation of a rectangular slab of egg for their bacon, egg, and cheese muffin (which came on sliced bread... so more a sandwich) meant presentation left some to be desired. The iced chai latte was perfect, and their baked goods a treat too.

This staple of University City Philadelphia consistently provides rich dark and medium roast coffees via free trade coffee companies in Central and South America. Its selection of bagels, croissants, and other baked goods is certainly adequate and tasty. The Sunday everything bagels and the marzipan-filled almond croissants are my personal favorites along with their locally made egg, bacon and cheese breakfast sandwich.

Good selection of baked goods, drinks and sandwiches. Really good vegan selection. My favorite sandwich is the Steve. There are usually two vegan muffins each day and most, if not all, of the bagels are vegan I believe. Wide range of teas and drinks. The coffee is quite good too.

The first two things i ordered listed on their menu they just didnt have: soup and a breakfast burrito. So at that point they said they did have a sweet potato burrito, so i got that. It was very disappointing, a little cold on the inside. I couldnt finish it.Still, the coffee is good, and I like the staff and atmosphere. So Ill be coming again to give this place a second chance, and if Im impressed, Ill update the review.

Great place with good coffee and decent vegan pastry options. The internet is somewhat slow and despite the plethora of seating, its usually hard to find a vacant table. You have to try the kale and sweet potato burrito. Its only $4 but its a full sized and filing meal.

This was the best coffee I have had in Philly so far. It was a cool atmosphere with an interesting crowd until I found out that I was there on the rare occasions that they have bands play. I stayed for the set and the opener was a sole act by the lead singer of a Philly band named Field Mouse then the lead act came on a band booked from Richmond that sounded like a group of high school kids trying to see who could play their instrument the loudest. I will go back for the coffee but will skip the next band they book.

Called to place and order, 1st time I called, someone picked up, didn’t say anything but I could hear them talking about playing angry birds in the background then hung up. I called about 5 more times. Finally someone answered, I asked if I could place an order to pick up. He said, “we don’t do that” and hung up. So don’t try this place if you need a sandwich to pick up when you’re on the go.

Very cozy and genuine place. The coffee is sublime (try the macchiato, is the real thing) for American standards and the staff is really nice as well, you can see how they let police officers that are doing their turns in the night come in after hours and so. As an European with really high coffee quality standards, this is a lovely place to feel less homesick.

Wonderful spot for coffee, tea, baked goods, etc. Great for a quiet workspace or a convivial meet-up – even a casual lunch date. Food is tasty, with many vegan and gluten-free options. (Like most coffeeshops, its mostly pastries and small sandwiches – better for snacks or a light lunch than a hearty meal!) I dont drink coffee, but their tea is fine.Baristas are lovely – friendly, helpful, welcoming, and full of character. Wifi is consistent and the speed is quite decent for a small coffeeshop, especially considering how many people are often on it!The space is also incredibly diverse, and the clientele are a true West Philly slice of life – from longtime locals to recent transplants to college students, etc.

This location for the Green Line Cafe is superior to the Baltimore Ave spot primarily because it is three times as large, so you rarely are at a loss for seating. The staff also tend to be more polite here. By and large it is a more welcoming spot. Its usually filled with students based on its location relative to student housing. Theres nothing special about your menu options. Expect what you would find at any coffee shop. Its the best one in West Philly by far, and youll find it fairly unpretentious. Enjoy local art and a variety of performance nights for things like poetry.

I came in to the coffee and I have no shoes except my sandal, and the coffee has sofa and regular chairs so I set on the sofa and put one foot under me and the other one down. he came to me and see you have to put your shoes on. I said I have no shoes on, he said then you should buy something. I said Im not sure what your issue as I just set 2 minutes ago and you followed me to try to humiliate me in purpose, and you are just racist and full of problems and he said Im sorry im sorry because he was under the assumption that I dont speak english.
