Good coffee, pretty fast as was only one other person in line before me. I love that they have so many size options, the XL is 24oz if I remember. They roast the coffee on site also, and have tons of options for bags of beans. I think its pretty comparable to other coffee places in regard to price. The guy in front of me remarked his Au Lait was so amazing when he picked it up and tried it. I had a soy chai today (previously ordered other m coffees also). Chai was hot! Almost too hot for quite a while. Overall it was good and I like their coffee.
Excellent location to buy coffee, coffee related drinks, coffee beans and other items. Everything they sell is fresh. The service is fantastic. They really do assist you in choosing the best bean for you. You can buy the beans whole or have them ground. The prices are average. The location is clean. If there is a line, just wait. It moves quickly. Orders are always accurate.Best coffee in Philly.
I had a very mixed experience. Employee was very soft spoken and hard to understand with her mask on. I understand the reasoning for the mask, but she needed to speak up.The first latte I got was incredibly bitter and had a bad aftertaste. Almost tasted old or burnt. Someone with me tried it and nearly spit it out.I went back and they were really kind and offered me a new drink. I got an iced cappuccino this time. I figured it would be sweet and it was not. It tasted like plain iced coffee with a little flavoring. The bitterness and aftertaste were still there, but better. I’m wondering if someone had just been doing it wrong.
This place was very fast and had friendly service, which is a plus. But, this time I think they sacrificed quality in favor of speed. The iced mocha I got was incredibly bitter and gritty almost inedible. The hot chocolate was mostly foam in the cup, and the chai tea was watery and near flavorless. I would consider trying it again, but for the amount we paid, it was pretty disappointing.
The only coffee shop in Reading terminal, so was excited to check them out. Ordered two hot chocolates with mint ..got a luke warm drink that did not have a mint flavor at all...disappointed.
Overly hot.. It took me well over an hour to be able to drink this and I utterly wish I could get a refund. I got a latte and it had a burnt flavor. Gross!
Some of the best coffee in town. Always piping hot. Fast service too!
Talk about amazing coffee! It was rich and strong without a bitter after taste. I got the mocha latte, it did not disappoint!
The service was very helpful and welcoming. Prices are decent for the quality. I see why this place has a lot of great reviews.
House blend with cream and sugar was excellent. Great service, friendly staff, definitely going again when back in the area.
If you like fresh, strong, dark roasted coffee - go no further than Old city coffee. It has a slightly rustic coffee aftertaste rather than a typically smooth finish you get in Starbucks. Reasonably priced.
Coffee so excellent I visit philadelphia just for this.
Food was so tasty. Service is consistently good. The place has a cool atmosphere. I see why this place has a lot of great reviews.
Such a great and cute coffee shop!
This is the best city in the coffee. I always tell my friends to come here. I always get a latte and it’s so strong and so good! Highly recommend it :)
It was so delicious. The staff was very sociable and kind.
Good quick service, nice coffee and espresso.Update, recently the Americano has been heavy and filled to the brim with water, too much water. Probably new staff. Ill remember next time to ask for less water in my Americano.
Service treated us so kindly. The bill was decent for the quality. Food is similar to a place in San Francisco I liked.
Excellent coffee, roasted on premises 👍😋
Good place to hang and eat some good food. I think I might become a regular. Kinda of like a restaurant in Los Angeles I liked to visit.
Very good coffee. My cappucino was just as good as starbucks and not as expensive. Regular coffee of the day is really good too. You get to put the milk in on your own and they have several non dairy options at the same price. They offer oat and soy milk from what I saw.
Best coffee ever. But also the best mail order service :)Great coffee making supplies too!
Ive had nothing but pleasant experiences here and plan to keep coming back. The place has a great feel to it. Feels like a place in Los Angeles I loved.
I love this place, excellent food & service. Looking forward to returning with my coworkers. This place has a great feel to it.
Its the best place to buy coffee beans in Philly. Love that I can grab a quarter pound of freshly roasted, great coffee at a fair price!
I give this place double thumbs up. Bring your appetite because portions are generous.
So good! Definitely stop by this Philly staple and pick up a bag of the fresh, roasted on premises coffee ❤️
I came here on a Sunday morning when it was absolutely packed, and I was very impressed by how well the staff moved along the line and were attentive to customers despite the crowd. My coffee was rich and flavorful, would come here again.
Very good coffee. I had a decaf Americano and will be buying a pound to take home.
The coffee was very good and the line wasnt a mile long like all the other coffee shops. It was a cheap price and had a good taste, served hot and is right by the door and a bakery which makes this location good and and easy pick up if you are either coming or going.
This is the second Old City Coffee location Ive been to and their espresso drinks are not any better. Tastes like hot milk. Extra star for being the only other coffee shop save Starbucks in this area
The lady serving was a big ol b-word and the sign RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER clearly states $.25 off for bringing a straw; I did and was charged full price. trash service and TRASH COFFEE.
This place is as good as there other location in Old City. Lattes are crazy smooth and go down great. Amazing!
We tried a cappuccino and a standard black coffee. Both were very good.
I just tried iced coffee, it was bitter and rich flavor, super good.
The coffee here wasn’t great... I’d even prefer a Starbucks over this place. I was expecting some great craft local coffee and thought it was extremely watered down and not made well.
There line. Is very good and short and not a long line u like there ice chi tea. Very tasty love to go back a gain
Definitely a good place to go for a cup of fresh coffee in the market. As far as the beans for sale, results may vary. Some of the beans arent refreshed all that often, and Ive gotten more than one bag of stale beans.
I love this little stand/shop. The people working at the time were top notch
Great service here and very fast paced
Very good coffee. 2 locations inside Reading Terminal.
Not just good coffee, but great tea and chai as well. And apple cider in the winter.
The best espresso macchiato! Just like in Italy!!!
Good coffee. I had a hot latte and would say much better than other coffee chains.
I like several of the Old City coffee blends. The L.A. Blend in particular is wonderfully strong. They often over-grind it at the counter, so ask for something more coarse than you normally would.
Nice coffee / scones.. definitely worth it
The person making my coffee was rude. I adked for extra hot 175 degrees and she responded in a rude tone and didnt do it! I wasnt rude just like my $4.50 coffee the qay I like it. Thanks for nothing!
Nice little spot in the Reading Terminal Market is clutch for a quick coffee.
Excellent coffee
Coming from Portland, weve missed having so many great coffee shops. This place helps out quite a bit!
Quick and friendly service. Coffee is a bit bitter, but still good.
I had a hot latte and would say much better than other coffee chains
I almost returned my mocha, it tasted a little off, like they used sour milk. I looked at the barista, and she told me I had to get in line again - I decided to just throw it away.
You need to try to soups here they are delicious
Been here twice and the people up front are alway happy and courteous when taking the order. Love the mint hot chocolate.
Enjoyed the homemade seasonal syrup in my latte!
I ordered an iced chai from the counter person. Standard drink, Ive ordered it 20 times and its wonderful. However, the barista put so much chai in the drink that I subsequently spent the next 30 mins in the bathroom getting sick after drinking 1/2 of it. I tried to water it down with milk too.The 1 star is because.-I went back to the same counter person I ordered from and told him that the chai and the portioning of the chai made me very sick. He then asked me if I had DAIRY SENSITIVITY.If I was allergic to milk, I would not have ordered a milk based beverage. As I have anaphylactic allergies I am very aware of what I CAN and CAN NOT eat.He was condescending and arrogant in the way he handled the situation. To even ask that is to insult my intelligence.I neither asked for a refund nor did I want one. There was no line at the time but he shrugged me off. When a customer comes back and tells you that the service you provide made them sick, I EXPECT to be treated respectfully. I did not receive anything of the sort from this individual and felt so disrespected by he nature of how he handled the situation.I have been going to RTM since I moved to Philadelphia and specifically to this place. How they handled the situation was horrid, his customer service skills need serious work.
I dont personally love their drip coffee but the variety of beans and coffee accessories is absolutely phenomenal
Staff is always super even when they have a full house.
Love the atmosphere and coffee.
Excellent cup of coffee - will return.
Good cup of coffee and quick service.
Fast, friendly, great bean selection
Great coffee, staff not friendly
My home coffee is their poor little Richards, very good!!
Always a solid cup of joe
Mmm coffee...
Great coffee!
Our favorite coffee in all of the Philadelphia
Is good
Small, cute, and delicious
Very good coffee in the market
