Loved everything about the whole experience.. I ordered the creamed chipped beef and it wasnt what I had expected.. it was way way too salty for me.. but hey Ive seen ppl put more salt on their eggs then I would of used in an entire days worth... So I dont knock a place just cause one dish wasnt to my taste.. so on the same sitting I just ordered their bagel special with cream cheese, avocado, cucumber and I added bacon (for the saltiness)😉 and it was perfect.. good amount of cream cheese just the way I love it.. their coffee wasnt bad too.. I will definitely be back.. loved the whole experience.. great job to the staff and cook..

Excellent food, and the largest iced coffee in town! I have always enjoyed the rock n pork roll sandwich and a peanut butter cookie, and their specials are usually unique and tempting. The owner Adam is welcoming and friendly and the staff happy and attentive. Truly knowledgeable about music and vinyl with a selection to die for, too! Definitely a favorite of mine. Parking can be tough but that is not their fault and doesnt keep me away

3 pancakes, scrambled eggs and homefries. I was greatly satisfied with this platter. I couldnt eat all the pancakes. Definitely was delicious will be returning.

Medium-size cafe with very hip feel: vinyl records are sold right downstairs, and images of records are plastered around the walls. It seems more of a place to catch up with friends over studying / getting work done.Atmosphere: Came in at around 12pm, and felt on the louder, chattier side, although there were a few people inside doing work. The space was quite full, with maybe 2 or 3 tables still empty out of 10-12. Gave off a nice, artsy, hipster vibe to me.Food: I enjoyed the coffee here, and they provide gluten-free options for pastries. They servers were very friendly!Side note: The bathroom is very small and cramped! You cant really fit in much else other than yourself.Overall: 4 / 5 - good atmosphere to hang out with friends, and maybe check out some of the records downstairs, but probably not to go and do work.

This cafe has great service ! They were able to make me a custom sandwich and the eggs were fluffy and delicious! They serve la colombe coffee and even sell various draft lates! The atmosphere and decorations are unique and it is very enjoyable here

Trying not to bash their overall ratings bc the place overall is super cool and the staff is friendly, but I found 3 hairs in my bagel. I’m the type of person who can get past one little hair but I was pretty spooked by this. I just wanted to leave this review so hopefully the staff sees and remembers to tie their hair back or wear a hat.

Milkcrate is wonderful, unpretentious and does breakfast all day. You cant ask anything more of a cafe. And they have great taste in music.

Currently only open as a coffee shop, went for records so I was severely disappointed.

This was my first time ordering from Milk Crate and I was pleasantly surprised. As a vegan, the name had led me to believe that there wouldn’t be many options for me at this cafe but I was certainly wrong. The avocado toast was great, and the vegan cheesesteak was out of this world. Beyond that, the coffee was amazing. If you’re looking for a quick vegan meal, this cafe is the place to go. If you’re looking for a great cup of coffee in the Fishtown/NoLibs area, you’ve found it. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. I’ll be going back soon.

Such a cool shop. This wonderful, welcoming place had great tunes playing the whole time I was there - quirky vintage jams from vinyl they sell right in the shop. The coffee was delicious (I had an espresso).All of the food I saw there looked great, too - I had a chicken sandwich which was a perfect lunch on a tired Sunday afternoon. Someone next to me got nachos, which looked and smelled amazing!Give this place a look. Great spot to hang out, buy some vinyl, and get a bite to eat.

Great food when you can get it! Now because of COVID, the staff wants you to call first. Most of the time the phone just rings until it goes to voice mail. When you get someone on the phone you are told it is a good 30 minutes or more for your food. :(

Absolutely my favorite place in the city to sit and drink either hot or cold coffee. Their iced coffee is absolutely the best. They have a great food selection as well. Amazing staff!! And to boot they sell one of the best selections of Records around.

I wanted to love this place! Cool vibes, album art everywhere, local, friendly staff. The latte came with a decent flavor but poor texture. Breakfast burrito was bland with what seamed to be only a teaspoon of sour cream.

For many years this cafe our to go one, when you feel lazy to cook at home, when you want a huge breakfast burrito or bagel. But now they are open and we just glad to support this unique cafe during this time. The side window is open, for food orders just call ahead.

Food & coffee are always delicious, atmosphere inside is relaxed and love the music theme. Always have good music playing and will occasionally have a DJ spinning tunes (*free wifi is a plus*). Service is quick, even when theres a line and staff is usually very friendly; just be aware that you will get the occasional staffer with a mildly condescending hipster attitude.

Pretty sure they still use La Colombe beans, so its a faster service for the same coffee and feels like youre truly supporting the neighborhood instead of a neighborhood national brand.

Fantastic music, comfortable medium sized space. Fun and laid back vibe. They have a record shop and amazing food . Coffee was nice too!! Would definitely work from there again next time I am in Fish town.

Milkcrate has good food and great coffee from la colombe. I used to go at least once a week. The iced coffee is so good and they have a ton of really good food options on their menu. Unfortunately, they raised the price of everything a few months ago. It’s still really good food just not worth the amount they charge. Good food and coffee but you can get more bang for your buck other places nearby.

The Album covers covering the walls at this place turns it into an art gallery. It’s really cool. The staff is friendly. I used to enjoy the food here but I don’t anymore. I think it’s the quality of the ingredients they use. Your body will feel it after you eat here. The coffee is good, although I don’t like the almond milk they use. This is prolly the best place to buy records and grab a quick, basic coffee. I like the vibe though. Nice chill spot.

A friend from work who goes here all the time for coffee bright me and while not a huge coffee lover I was really impressed with the place. I had and iced late every time weve gone and really liked them, Ive also tried a breakfast burrito and a chicken sandwich with avacodo, both of which were awesome. I would highly recommend the Milkcrate Cafe. I know Ill be going back often.

This place is adorable. The food is excellent and the record selection was pretty good. It is primarily VG-VG+ copies of rare records, esoteric randomness, or basics stuff like Hendrix and other essentials. They offer newer stuff too in the cafe and some turntables and whatnot. Cafe was a 5, record store a 4.

Cool vibe inside. First time Ive ever seen Delay 1968 hanging on a wall. Coffee is serviceable, breakfast sandwiches are awesome. The prices on their website are inaccurate though, when last I checked you can expect your bill to run at least $1 or $2 more than what it says online. Still reasonable though.

I go here fairly often before work. I order Iced Vanilla Lattes literally every coffee shop I go. I can say that theirs are most often consistent and most bang for your buck. Ive always been happy with the staff and the atmosphere.

Um. yea. the milk crate is good. its like your kitchen, but in a corner store with great natural light and well detailed. nothing will blow your mind, but they have good staples. sometimes your food will be slapped together, sometimes not. but its well worth it. the coffee is always good. im not sure what they actually make there, but they carry quality items to start with.a friend suggested it to me and id suggest it to anyone else.

From eggs, ham to avaocado and cucumbers. The bagels they serve on their own are perfect. I have never had lunch, but they serve that as well. Must go to see the record store downstairs. Just great place and vibe.

Make sure you tell them clear as day every single time you place and order if you want chips or salad on the side because they will rarely ask or remind you that its an option and if you dont they will force the chips on you. Check your order every time before you leave to make sure of it or else they will pretend you said chips. I knocked off two stars for this because literally since they moved into my neighborhood I have dealt with this issue 5 separate times over the years. I shouldnt have to overthink my order this much just to get what I want. Friends Ive brought here were insulted and disappointed in the service which was quite embarrassing. Complaining is met with resistance and denial.The employees can be extremely rude but it seems better now. With the endless staff changes you have to be on your toes. All in all they have unique tasty products but their execution isnt the best. If they had better management Id give it 5 stars! A vegan/vegetarian menu would also be appreciated as everything seems to be laced with animal products.
