I actually traveled an hour and a half to purchase a large quantity of meat and they do not offer ice to ensure freshness.

Lancaster Meat Market has the leanest cuts of meat that Ive seen in Philly! They do fish, chicken, lamb - everything. And they have a full set of grocery shelves with condiments, sauces, spices - as well as a big freezer. You can get everything for a family barbecue or company picnic.They have 16 meat combo deals, and a bunch of Deli deals and even a breakfast special. Most important: nice people, too!

It’s stinks real bad in there: idk how people still walk out with meat.

I buy meat here all the times since they open .But the last month my chicken legs and wings are so big it crazy !Gone are the days when chicken was small !I will not be back i cannot eat chicken so big !

Their prices are cheap for everything. Their meats are fresh and cheaper than most supermarkets! All the employees are courteous and approach you for help immediately when you approach the counter. I shop there at least once or twice a week.

They have some of the best prices around specially for the meat packages you can really save money by going there instead of buying your meat at the supermarket I recommend it to anyone who wants to save money and still get pretty good quality

Good except they didnt have baby back ribs I wanted 4 my Xmas dinner no turkey no ham 4 me this time!!

I am so amazed at how many people are referencing fresh meat when speaking of this place! Do not purchase your meats here. I purchased one of their meat packages. When I got home and opened the bag of chicken gizzards that I bought, the smell of spoiled meat was over whelming!! theres no way that when the gentleman was bagging them that he did not smell that! I threw out the gizzards immediately. I had purchased other meats that SEEMED ok, so kept them. Well last night I finally cooked another package of chicken that I purchased and low and behold I woke up throwing up and am now feeling very sick. Do not go here, spoiled chicken will kill you and they will sell it to you anyway!

For the most part the store was clean, but it had that butcher shop smell. I would come back if I couldnt get down to 9th street.
