“ARROGANT, RUDE, and EXPENSIVE:” The Foodery has to be one of the worst “bang for buck” establishments in Philadelphia. A six pack of even standard beer will cost you about 20 dollars or more, and prices are not on display before purchase. The worst part about the place is the rude customer service. I have lived in Philadelphia now for 4 years and cannot think of another business with a more rude or unhelpful staff. Do yourself a favor: go to any of the other beer stores within 3 blocks and buy beer from them (ACME, locust). This place is just not worth it—they are kept alive by inexperienced beer enthusiasts thinking Foodery is a proper beer store and getting swindled into paying high price. It is a con business.

As a small business, I don’t expect to pay the same prices as Acme or Whole Food. The Foodery’s selection actually blows them out of the water AND they actually started the mix-6 pack here in Philadelphia. I have been shopping here for decades. The employees are stellar at recommending new ones to try. You sure ain’t getting that service at Acme. These guys were pioneers in the craft beer scene in Philly. The real ones know about The Foodery!! Support local businesses 🙌🏼

So it’s open late and doesn’t offer a mix 6 pack price. One mixed 6 pack nothing exotic 2 Guinness, 1 summer love, 1 bodington, 2 bell heart ales $21.00. WHAT? Anyway the price you pay when the ACME is not open.... but c’mon 🤨. Buy early at the ACME if you can and avoid this price gouging!!!!!!!!

Firstly, dont expect a cheap couple of beers here. Building your own six pack can be quite costly. But, and this is a good but, the selection youre offered is quite good for such a small shop.Looking for a 12 pack of bud or yuengling? Theyve got that too! Want some snacks to go with your brews? Youre in luck. Something sweet? Look no further.I went in pretty late, close to closing, and the associate was polite and helpful.

Their menu online makes it seem like this one has a deli, however... They dont. Grab n go sandwiches at best, but when I went there was nothing. Kind of annoying. Just go for beer.

I went to the foodery looking to purchase some beer and cider to bring to a byob I was meeting a friend at nearby. The sales associate who helped was incredibly sweet and was able to help me find what I was looking for instantly. The prices are super reasonable. This is hands down the best foodery location in the city in my opinion. They have a great craft beer selection.

Little known fact: Tuesdays 5-7p usually have free meet-the-brewer tastings. Selection is great. Curated refrigerated dips and snack selection to go with your beer. Knowledgeable staff. Prices are OK, as far as philly taxes go, it is what it is.

Little craft beer shop and bodega. Its a little small so just be aware if youre getting beer last minute ahead of something like a football game!

Great craft bottle selection but I personally thought it was waaay overpriced. I understand the neighborhood in general is pricey but what I paid for a six pack in here was outrageous. They have green tea pocky though!

Vast selection of beers (single bottles, 6-packs and variety packs), and it has a deli (open until 8 p.m.; Vegan options available). Marcus is great with customers, and keeping the stock up-to-date.

Good selection of interesting beers, though pricey. I was happy to learn they give 10% off if you buy 6 beers, and 20% if you buy 6 identical beers

The single bottle model of selling beer would be nice, if you didnt have to pay dearly for the privilege. Tried a mix of random IPAs, ended up trying to charge me $30 for a six pack. No trappist beer or lambic in the pack, so I ended up settling for a conventional 6 pack.

The Foodery is the only spot in the immediate area where you can find exotic beers or beers from breweries from all around the country. A friend from CA was astonished to find beers from Green Flash Brewery, a San Diego brewery, and Lagunitas Brewing Company. The Fooderys beer isnt cheap- I would list it as moderate-expensive. Still its the best selection around, and you can mix 6-packs with individual beers if you feel like switching things up. The standard 6-pack of PBR pounders is a very fair $8.50-ish. They accept all credit cards without a minimum, and the staff is always polite and helpful.
