Nice place. Good prices. I forgot my ID there and they got it back to me

Try the house-bottled cocktails. Liquid smoke is something truly unique! No better pre-picnic store in my opinion. Craft beer, craft charcuterie, snackies, hoagies. Thats a picnic.

Small but well-curated selection of wine. Excellent craft beer. I recently bought a bottle of wine that was corked, and they took it back without any issue. A neighborhood gem.

Honestly this place rocks. I don’t get how it exists in PA’s treacherous and convoluted regulatory environment - but god bless them for doing so. you can buy wine, cocktails, beer, champagne. It doesn’t make sense.

A fantastic beer selection available here, and you can split up 4 or 6 packs into singles if youd like. Everything from local crafts to traditional German brews to funky oddball offerings that you cant find many other places in the city. I love this bottle shop!

Over-priced for typical high-end beers, but its a small space and a bottle shop, not a case joint.Check the back room if you are looking for something truly unique! Its filled with some great rarities if you want to impress someone special. Probably the best I have seen in the city for beers you wont find elsewhere.

This place is great. If you’re drinking on a budget there’s plenty of $3 beers to choose from (and not Bud Light, the beers all local, craft beers). If you’re a beer connoisseur there’s tons of craft beers to choose from. Fair warning this is a bottle shop so not a whole lot of sit down space to chill, but great for trying a beer or grabbing a six pack of your own choosing.

Great selection, great staff. They have turned me on to some great brews just by conversing with me and getting a feel for what type of beer I was looking to try. Its a little pricey at times but not as bad as some beer shops elsewhere in the city. The weekly beer tastings are also a great thing to try out.

A very nice spot with a great selection of beers and helpful staff! I live nearby so its a big wallet drainer- but nonetheless, a great craft beer bottle shop! Huge and rotating selection, too.

In full disclosure, I live only a few short blocks from here, so Im a local, and Im a LOCAL but whats not to like about this place. Great selection of beer, always changing. Some really special and hard to get selections but a solid selection of the widely available craft beers. The staff loves beer as well, so no slackers here just to earn a paycheck, knowing nothing about beer. Dont be afraid or intimidated to ask about a beer youve never had, they know them all. Its Friday as I type this, you know what rhymes with Friday? ... Beer!

Excellent place. Really cant recommend it enough. Great selection with an upper room where they have specialty and rare beers. Staff is friendly and quite helpful as well.

The staff can answer any questions about the numerous types of beers and wines. Theres a constantly rotating selection of seasonal beers and variety of gluten free options, including ciders. A fair number of imports mixed with regional and local breweries are represented. On Mondays, they have beer tastings from different breweries.

I would give no stars, if possible. Came in with a couple of friends. Two other groups of people followed after us, but the cashier had his eyes on us from the moment we walked in. A friend of mine had no interest in buying beer, so she just hung out by the door, on her cell phone. The cashier kept asking us, only us, asking if we needed help...following us around the tiny space, pretending to tidy up around us. When we went to pay, he asked all three of us for our IDs, including my friend who hadnt touched or even looked at any beer. We are all 23 years old with valid state IDs, but its the principle. I told him that only two of us were at the register with beer in hand, trying to pay and he said it was state law. I attempted to inquire further about said law, when he snatched the beers out of my hand and went to put them away. I am not sure if it was because my friend was Muslim, or because we were all African American, or if it was because this poor cashier was upset for having gone bald so prematurely and was far below the average height for an American male (can we say Napoleon complex?). But we were definitely profiled and treated very poorly from the moment we walked in. No worries, Fresh Grocer has a beer garden now :)

Good selection - prices somewhat high. After buying beer there numerous times throughout the summer, the person with me was carded, despite how she wasnt buying. She didnt have it with her and they refused to sell to me. When I said I often havent even been carded at all, the clerk, who had checked us out nearly every time that summer, said if he recognized us he wouldnt need to see her ID. This inconsistent enforcement of their policy and refusal to sell to me, and highly-fallible justification, pushed me to go elsewhere for craft beer.

Great selection, but price does reflect the rarity of their beers. Its great for craft beer fans, but isnt the place to go for a cheap six pack

Very poor selection with prices that are nothing short of exorbitant. Staff knows little about inventory and even less about beer. Save yourself some time and and a lot of cash and take your business elsewhere.

Good selection, prices on higher side, some of the staff are very pushy, seems to come from the managment. I have had a few particularly annoying encounters that usually stop me from going back unless I am in a pinch.

Good selection of beers obviously. So many cans and bottles, something for everyone. I had the Hopline Bling can and it was super good. I wish there was a little more seating around the place, we were able to sneak into the bar stool area when someone got up but otherwise we would have had to stand. The guy who poured our beers was friendly. Im a sucker for a good souvineer anywhere I go, even if its local, thanks for the cool t-shirts!
