I love this spot! Whenever I’m in town I make sure to stop in! Little spot… big tv… bigger beer selection! Some good bar nosh too.

Went there with my buddies. Safe to say we got some tall frosty ones. Mike took care of us for the night. It was our first time there and he really wanted to give us a first class experience. Food was excellent, beer was good. I saw a lot of things on the menu I’d like to go back for. Anyways, mike had us feeling like we were at home and I will be back here as soon as I can. If it was closer to me this place would be a weekly thing for me. The vibe is just immersive. go check it out if you’re into quality food and service.

Absolutely fantastic spot! So welcoming to our group and has turned into a mainstay for us in the Fishtown area. Mike and the rest of the staff are so welcoming, nice and make it a pleasure to hang there to grab a few beers/dinner or hang out and watch a game. Highly recommend.

Loved this place, but theres plenty of other bars that arent getting slammed by the Dept. of Labor for wage theft. If youre going to inflate your prices, at least pay your staff.

Enough cannot be said about how incredible Bottle Bar has been to me and my friends over the last 2 months. Ive been going to Bottle Bar for years, since I lived in the neighborhood, and its always been a solid place to grab a beer and good bar food. Nothing has changed, theyre still solid night in and night out. Recently, they were gracious enough to reserve the back patio for my group to watch playoff hockey a few nights during the week and its become our new home. Even during intense covid restrictions, they were doing their best with a limited staff and we only had stellar experiences. Our group would be sometimes as small as a dozen and other nights would swell upwards to 30 and the staff never missed a beat. The beer selection is great, between the singles in the fridge or whats on tap that week. The food is ALWAYS on point. If youre not ordering food here, youre doing yourself a disservice. The entire staff is incredible, friendly, and so accommodating. A very special thank you to Mike who went above and beyond for us, to Colin behind the bar who took care of our entire group for many nights, and to the folks in the kitchen who kept us full especially when we needed to stress eat during some intense playoff games. Great food and drinks . Went for my first time during happy hour was charged full price for everything I ordered. Not sure what the happy hour menu was but never was told either .Not vegan or veggie friendly although they do have an impossible burger W/ fries that’s pretty good .

Love this place! Great food and drinks! Can be a bit pricey unless its during happy hour (5-7pm). They also have a special each day of the week that is half off all day. I had the Mac n cheese with ham and it was delicious.During happy hour: half off drafts, $6 cocktails, half off certain appetizers and food items.They also have an outdoor eating area which is covered. Its decorated with cute tables, plants, and lights. Im the front of the bar is a place you can purchase individual beers from EVERYWHERE. great selection. Upstairs is another bathroom along with more tables, darts, and Foosball.Wish they had an options to sit in something other than a high bar stool, but thats just my personal preference!Every third Thursday is quizzo.

A real hidden gem. Although the space is tight, there are additional seatings on the upper level. Im not the occasional drinker, but the place provides alcoholic beverages where you could grab right out of the fridge when you enter in. A clever setup.What really amazed me was how delicious and nicely prepared the food was. Some of the dishes were on trend with vegan/vegetarian friendly options.I ordered the Blue Ribbon Battered Cauliflower Wings with the bourbon cider rub, super crisp on the outside and meaty. It definitely satisfied my fried-foods craving that night.The highlight of our meal was the Tomato Seafood Bisque--incredibly flavorful, so creamy and rich. A perfect remedy to fight the chilly winter nights here in the city.

If you work for a living, do not patronize this establishment.See below:U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division investigators found that BHMK Enterprises LLC – operator of Bottle Bar East – violated the minimum wage, overtime, and recordkeeping requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act. The division determined the employer failed to pay bartenders and servers any cash wages, causing them to work for tips only, and required workers to attend quarterly staff cleaning meetings, but did not pay front-of-house employees for the time they spent there. These actions violated the FLSA minimum wage requirements.In addition, investigators found Bottle Bar East paid back-of-house employees straight-time wages for all the hours that they worked, including those in excess of 40 hours worked in a single workweek. The law requires overtime pay for hours employees work beyond 40 in a workweek. The employer also failed to pay overtime to front-of-house servers and bartenders. After the investigation, the department filed a complaint against the company in court to resolve the violations.

This place is amazing! Beer heaven, so much to choose from! Great food and atmosphere. Tonight Sixers game on the inside and because we are the city of brotherly love Islanders game on the outside!

Don’t be fooled by the exterior - it looks like a liquor store, which it is - but past the beer coolers is a bar with great food options.There’s also a small outdoor patio with limited seating.

The burger was amazing the fries and old bay fries were also very good. 1 of my burgers were wrong they quickly fixed it and offered me a complimentary drink for the inconvenience. Great customer service I would definitely recommend BBE!

First, I feel obligated to clarify that Ive never actually purchased anything here. I just deliver wine here. But Ive been here quite a few times, both before and after covid. Its a cool little store/bar. The employees are always nice, and the bathroom is clean, which is rare for a bar! They have a huge selection of beers, some cool snacks, and some delicious wines (especially Stone & Key Cellars, and Im totally unbiased :) ). Parking is not easy, especially with construction going on often right near there, but there is a little lot right next door.. Its just too hard for my cargo van to maneuver in and out of. But thankfully, Ive never gotten a ticket for parking with my blinkers on for the few minutes I am delivering. Anyway, Id definitely patronize this place if I lived nearby.

Simple bar/restaurant with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The fries are amazing and the BBE burger is packed with flavor. Ill be back here again.

Bottle Bar East is definitely my go to place, they have a huge selection of craft beer and always have great beers on tap. Not to mention their happy hour is phenomenal, half off selected draft which you can’t beat. The food is outstanding and the servers are nice as well. Highly recommend anyone to check this establishment out if you in the area.

Solid food with great beer selection.

If you are craving a certain beer, any beer, chances are that Bottle Bar East has got it! There are so many awesome beers, youll never run out of options! Seating is a little limited but the food is great! Pictured in this review are General Tsos Cauliflower Tacos. Bottle Bar East keeps some very satisfying Vegan options on the menu.

Every time i order from this place the service is absolutely horrible or they are missing item on the menu. They are overpriced and constantly disappointing with the lack of attentive customer and subpar bar food. Take a walk down the street to any other place but here. Never again.

I have to admit, I was a little underwhelmed. I was recommended the bottle bar by many people. When I went, I was frustrated and felt like I was in the way. The place is so narrow, it can become very packed. If youre not ordering food, then you dont really have a table to sit at. The happy hour prices were great though. Half off all drafts is a great deal.The beers in the cooler to take however are overpriced. Some 12oz bottles are $8.50 each. They have a large selection, but nothing overly rare. There are too many other great places in fishtown to spend too much time here.

Its just fine. They have a good selection of beers but Im never that happy when Im sitting in to eat. The food is just fine, the cocktails are good, but the service always has me wishing for better. A good spot for grab n go beers

I was over charged for two items and the girl who rang me up asked if I wanted change so I can leave her a tip, which was rude and made me feel entitled to leave her one when all she did was ring me up for rolling papers and a sport drink

PLEASE stop storing 12/15pk craft cans and variety packs in your windows. Bought a 15pk that was in your cooler that must have been waiting as back stock in the sun exposed windows. It tasted old and oxidized, as if it was 2 years old. Do not overprice your beers if you cannot store it at or above industry standards. I will never buy a NE or hazy beer for this very reason from your establishment.

Ive always had a good experience here. good beer, good food. theyre open late. they had awesome lunch specials but it seems like maybe they did away with them? I have also had a lot of people tell me that the service was not friendly, enough so that I felt it worth mentioning. but as I said before, Ive always had a good experience with friendly staff. Im always happy to get lunch here. and, of course, u can grab beer to go.

Bottle Bar East has quickly become one of my wife and my favorite bars in Philly. Although it looks small from the front, there is a huge bar and a great deal of seating, including an upstairs area, and a really nice and spacious backyard. The food has a lot of the bar food staples, but it is very good. What is nice is that a lot of the menu items are actually quite a bit lighter than bar food generally is, and they tend to have a lot of interesting specials. But really, what stands out here is the beer and the service. Of course, they have hundreds of unique selections in the cases, with hard to find beers and ciders from everywhere, but the draft selection is also always amazing. We have also always had fantastic service here. The bartenders are friendly, and extremely attentive. Recently, weve been in for the world cup games and this is a great place to watch. Lastly, they also have a great happy hour with half priced food and draft beers! We cant recommend Bottle Bar East highly enough!

Best beer bar in Philly. Draft list is always solid, and like 11 coolers worth of beers that can be had at the bar. Pretty consistent food specials as well. If youre a beer nerd it is a must.

The only thing going for the Bottle Bar is the diverse selection of beers; however, the majority of them are priced much higher than stores in the surrounding area. Furthermore, it behooves you to visit the state store down the street on Girard if you are looking to purchase any wine since you can be spending a minimum of $18.The entrance can be rather cramped with buyers perusing the stock and customers looking to sit. The upstairs aint anything to right home about and fees like an afterthought. The food is decent, your standard pub fare with some tasty specials.

The food was better than expected! A huge beer selection (hence the name) but the food was really good. Excellent beer selection obviously but I do think the beer is a little overpriced but it is impressive none the less. And will definitely go back....not that this was my first time just first review

This place used to be 5 stars every time. we used to come here once or twice a week and every food item was fantastic. now one star is being generous. the smash burger... more like the trash burger. dry af, non-temped (cooked to well), the fries used to be hand cut or at least the skin on frozen ones, but now theyre the gross battered ones. the chicken tenders are pretty bland and were def over cooked.i should have known better than to give this place a second chance.

The food is really, really good here. Definitely come out for the 1/2 price grilled cheese on Sunday. Big projector to watch sports. Draft list is good but the bottle selection is better. Your can drink bottles right at the table. Plenty of seating.

One of our favorite go to places for a mid-week dinner. They have specials throughout the week. Chose one and save some money. We were there on a Wednesday which is their night for hamburger specials. It was one of the best burgers I have had in months. Asked for it to be cooked medium. It was perfect. Nice side salad if you dont want fries.Great selection of beers and ciders.

Got a new favorite spot for craft beer and happy hours. Great beer selection for bottles and cans but 16 taps of hard to get beers!! Food is amazing and their menu is always rotating. I love specials! I will be back everyday if my liver lets me.

Interesting selection on tap. Was blown away by the food. Try the Jerk Shrimp Tacos. Not filling but delicious.

Great range of beers and ciders. I love being able to pick one out and open it right then and there to taste while sitting at the bar area. The staff is very helpful and have offered to order beers that they didnt have and would call when they came in.

My favorite craft beer spot in the city. They literally have hundreds of beers to choose from and Mike (at the front desk) is always really helpful with his recommendations. Grab one beer or do a mix a six. They are even open late for take out beer.

Great low key spot to while away an afternoon or to catch the game. Beer garden during the summer months. They usually have very good specials on the menu and great deals on both food and drinks. The coolers are well stocked and you can pull any beverage to consume onsite

I love that I can take my time and look though everything in the cases before making a selection. Such a fun way to be different than other bars! The food is amazing for bar food (get the empanadas!) The staff is always really chill and attentive.Was surprisingly a good spot to catch the football game on a Sunday night too.Next time I will check out the wine and cheeses!! (they have win gift bags if you need a last minute gift 👌 )

Narrow place, but I loved sitting at the bar. The selection of beer on tap was unique with some brands Ive never heard of, including a couple imports. Staff was friendly and I enjoyed the casual atmosphere talking to strangers.

The biggest selections of craft beer in Northern Liberties that I know of and their food is legit. Their fries and dipping sauces alone are worth the drive. Great atmosphere, good vibes and good times.

We used to come here every week, sometimes twice a week. apparently they changed the really good burger and now it sounds absolutely terrible. why not add a menu item instead of completely changing an already existing item and keep the same name? very sad.to say our last visit will remain our last

Like others have said, yes, as a bar, this place works. The chips and guac were decent (unless youve had actual chips and guac somewhere like Texas or California, but were in Philly here, so what do you expect?) and the dine-in beer/cocktail prices were average.As a retail for beer/wine, not a chance in the world (though, they may have a chance with how asinine Pennsylvanias alcohol laws are). Expect to spend $15 - $30 a six pack (for an equivalently normal price of $7 - $14). Out of principle, Id have to say I wouldnt patron the bar itself anymore either until they stop price gouging.
