Took my Truck to Steve after being told by 3 different shops it couldnt be fixed. Steve told me up front he wasnt 100% positive if he could fix it but would do his best. After tying up his shop for 3 days he was able to repair my axle and at a very fair price. If you want a shop you can trust and walk out with change in youre pocket you need to bring your work to Alper Auto, you wont regret it.

Amazing team, so nice and most important honest. These guys are now my go to mechanics. They have taken me in as an emergency when I came out of Walmart started the car and had no lights and my wipers were on full speed, I called and they fixed it fast. The computer had a brain fart but most important they could have said it was one of many things and charged me alot of money. But Steve was honest and reset the computer fixing the issue. I can tell you about several incidents just like this one they are just all around the best of the best.

On a rainy day, my wife & I were traveling south from NJ, when suddenly the dreaded Check Engine light starts blinking. Immediately, pulled off the exit to a gas station. Told them about our problem & they suggested to check out Alper Automotive across the street.We pulled into the garage, with only enough room for only our mini van. The owner helped us diagnose the problem in a matter of minutes. We needed an ignition coil & new spark plug. He explained what needed to be done & the cost of the repair. We approved the repair & within minutes the parts were delivered to the shop.Within 15-20 minutes the repair was completed by the owner. Unbelievable!! In less then 45 minutes, we were on our way.Fantastic service!! Highly Recommend this friendly, great service auto repair shop.P.S. I was able to make my doctors appt. 250 miles away on time.

Have gone to more than a few mechanics, service desks, and dealers - and this place blows them all away. By no means am I a car guy, I drive a glorified SUV with two car seats, but these guys have always been leveled with me and treated me with nothing but respect, explaining my options, what to expect. And doing it incredibly reasonably priced. Even as Ive moved further away, I still refuse to go anywhere but here.

I had an emergency. One of my back tires on my volvo popped right In front of exit 30 from I-95 S and so I got off the exit and turned the corner, parked my car and looked around for help. I was in despair! I have a FLAT TIRE and I am not from PA and was visiting from NJ, I live near newark airport so about 1 45 min drive, I was asking people around if they knew an auto shop and since my timing is sooo wrong, it was close to 5pmish and almost all stores and businesses were closing or closed for the day. I went to an auto shop and said he couldnt help me because all his guys were busy or gone for the day...so he referred me to the auto shop at the corner on the other side of the street and there I ran to the auto shop and asked if they can help me with my tire. The mechanic said Yes he would :) he just needed to tell his boss since they are closing in 5 min and changing my tire would take more time. I felt saved honestly I did not know how I would get back to NJ I live like 15 min away from newark air port. So this was a miracle in deed. I am sooooo grateful and I wish Alper Automotive awesome success because success to them means helping people at their lowest point and i am soooooo sure his neighbors are also very happy to have Alper Automotive in their community. Thank you so much! :)

I went here because of all the positive reviews but I wish I never came here. Went in to get an oil change with a free tire rotation. I noticed after the work was complete my car would smoke and when I drove it sounded as if I had a flat tire but I didnt. Their excuse was it could be the tires. Months later I noticed the bolts that I initially had on my tires one of the tires did not have the same as the rest. And these are safety bolts. When I notified Alper Auto nothing was done. I wont be going back for any other service. The one star is for their receptionist very professional and friendly. Overall very disappointed in their service.

I have never written a neg review and dislike writing this because I thought I had a great experience and service, but the aftermath affected me and set me back pretty bad. I had originally gave them 5 stars and a good review still listed below, but decided to change it because they didnt catch the massive oil leak I had to have costly fixed, they informed of oil on bottom.and back of engine areas, when I personally looked inside the engine splash shields they were full of oil spillage, but said felix from Xander auto Stay away from Felix at Xander auto down the street, dont buy cars from him, no wonder he doesnt have legit website or any listings anyway he told Alper it was left over oil from redoing the timing chains, and they took his word for it, I did as well, but brought it here to be checked and in safe side before I purchased car and turns out there was major leak and chains werent properly sealed. *Original review-- Brought the car I was thinking of buying. They did a pre-purchase inspection, and found out a motor mount needed replacement. They are very friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. Very good prices and thorough. I highly recommend. I ended up purchasing the vehicle that they pre inspected and happy with their services I have to retract that about Alpers for missing the massive oil leak and bad seal costing me a lot if money after I had purchased the car. I always do pre purchase inspections on cars before I buy, first time this has happened. Maybe they trusted Felix from Xander fake auto a little to much and over looked, I dont know, just know this set me back.

This is a rare place.Im a female, I dont know much about cars, and I drive for a living. Yeah, pretty easy to get swindled when it comes to car repairs for my type. I brought my old beater in to Alper and they explained every portion of the repair to me, never once judging my lack of expertise. Alper Automotive kept my car running longer than it should have, and they actually declined to do several unnecessary repairs to my car that I had originally asked to be done.When my car became too much to maintain, Steve told me flat out that it wasnt worth it.I value honesty and Alper Automotive has this in spades.They even have loaners just in case you need to be somewhere. Just make sure you return the car with gas, and youre good.I wont be going anywhere else. Ive found a true gem of a place.

I got a flat Friday night but was able to drop my car off here. They actually had a drop box for the key which made me feel a lot more comfortable about leaving it. Called them the next day and they had it done by the afternoon. Reasonably priced and good service.

Brought my Mercedes there for a brake job, and although there were some issues getting the right part, Steve did a great job of communicating with me the whole way, making the process still pretty smooth. They also fixed a minor issue with my windshield wipers free of charge. They have a new regular customer in me!
