I was a little worried when my vehicle was not taken into a bay for inspection until 20 minutes after I arrived since I had thought that inspections take 60-90 minutes based on past experience, however, much to my surprise I had my vehicle back and I was pulling out of their parking lot just over an hour after I had arrived. Keep up the great work!

Do not go to ANY Pepboys. I had a problem at a different store. The manager called me and made an appointment for me here. I came in, explained what I needed: brake inspection, state inspection, and tire pressure check/rotation. Two and half hours later, without a call, I see my car in the parking lot. I go in and they tell me I need brake repairs. I asked about the other items and was told it was done. They didn’t check the tire pressure at all, the light is still on, didn’t rotate my tires, and didn’t do a state inspection which I need for registration. I’m not sure why it’s so hard to do what a customer asks for, but after two failed store visits and a clueless manager interaction, I’m going elsewhere.

Horrible associates !!! First I get there it took so long for him to answer me because he was on the phone.I get that but no kind of apology or something for the waiting time just to talk and make enquiries.Later after the Oil change, I told them they had the numbers for my next oil change due date, wrong and then the other guy rudely handed another sticker to me to write it and put it on the car wind screen myself. I remember his exact words: Here you Go like I was begging him for a favor, no courtesy of any kindAlso no apology of any sorts... I dont even know how the Associates especially the ones stationed at the service area still have a job, they are very rude. no customer relation of any kind, he just handed me the sticker like am a Toddler.....Do not waste your money and time over there.

Terrible experience here. I called and asked if I could tow my car there to simply fix the starter. They said yes they could fix it that same day. I got the car there by 2:00pm and was told it would take 3 hours because they had other cars to do. I called at 5:30pm to check on the car. I was told that the mechanic started working on it at 3:00pm but was having a very difficult time getting to the starter. 6 hours later (after closing time), I was standing next to the mechanic as he explained all the ways he tried to get to the starter but couldn’t and he asked if I could just wait until tomorrow. He said he tried from the bottom and the top and ended was basically taking everything out of the hood now to try to get to it.The next day, I was told several different things by different people. The manager even said, “you were lied to”. But I honestly don’t know who was telling the truth. After finally getting to the starter they claimed that a hose was now leaking coolant. Because of the way it was leaking, I do not believe this was a pre-existing issue. My car would have definitely had other problems if that leak was there before I brought it in. I believe this was a mistake made while trying to get to the starter. I also only found out about it because I called early the next morning to check on the car. No one called me about this new issue. I had to take another Uber up there to see it and decide what I wanted to do. I told them to replace it. Hours later they called and said the part would take weeks to come and that they would try sealing it. I got another call telling me that sealing it did not work. I was then told to order the part myself.At that point I just told them to close the car back up and I will take it to another shop. The manager tried to compensate me for all trouble and for the several Ubers I had to take back and forth over the two days to see about the constant issues they were having by taking some charges off the bill. I appreciated that BUT after getting my car back I have BRAND NEW issues that I will now have to pay for anyway! My air conditioner was absolutely fine before bringing the car in. Never had any issues with that. It no longer works. The car is also riding very bumpy, which was not a problem before I brought it in. I still ended up paying them close to $500 just to leave with more problems that I now have to pay someone more professional and knowledgeable to fix. I am completely dissatisfied with this service with the Bustleton Pep Boys location. The service was unacceptable.

Went to Pep Boys for 4 tires and an alignment, the service was good.Tire prices were competitively priced.The tires and alignment were done in just over an hour. The staff was friendly and polite.

Worst experience ever!!! Had an appointment. After 2 hrs they didnt even pull car into shop. I decided to leave with out service. They left the hood open and it popped open on the freeway while I was driving home. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

My moms car battery malfunctioned and wouldnt start, had to take the battery which was bought less than a month ago to do an exchange. We took the battery into this particular Pep Boys. I desperately needed a new battery and the people who run the shop gave me nothing but problems and more problems trying to get the battery replaced under warranty. After a long debate, which led to nowhere, I left the store and went to another Pep Boys around the area and the other store resolved my issue right away, no questions asked. These people dont care if you got an emergency, they will find a way to complicate your situation even more.As of 8/26/2021

Plain bad customer service. I purchased a battery late 2019 and it died in January 2021. It has a 30 month warranty, but they refuse to replace the battery. The manager peeled the warranty label off of the battery and threw it in the trash. They wont take the online order email as the proof of purchase either. A few months ago i ordered 2 tires from Amazon. This Pep Boys location was an authorized installer, so UPS delivered the tires there. On the scheduled date of installation the manager claims that they never received the tires. UPS/Amazon investigation was launched. I will never do business with this Pep Boys location. A bunch of liars and scammers.

Stopped in for wiper blades for a 2013 Chevy Traverse- It must have been awhile since I bought blades since there used to be catalogs hanging by the racks for you to look up your blade.. No catalogs. I took my old blade to the parts counter and asked if they could tell me what blade I needed for a 13 Traverse. He told me 21 and 24.. meaning the length of the blade. I asked him if any of the brands would fit my car.. he said, I dont know, you have to get the one with the right attachment, you get a bunch of pieces you have to switch them out to make them fit I asked isnt the parts dept supposed to be able to tell me what blade I need for what car? I mean if someone orders them online they send the right ones.. His response was How do I know what style arm you have on the car? .. Well... if you think about it, every 2013 Chev. Traverse has the same wiper arm.. This is a case of a parts guy not wanting to do the extra work looking up parts. I avoid Pepboys when I can because i have never dealt with a parts guy that actually seemed like he was glad to help. Always act like the customers are bothering them.

I had my car towed to this location by AAA because of a flat tire on a Saturday.I made an appointment for 1:30 and scheduled an oil change at the same time. I arrived at 10:00 to leave my car and was told by Carlos that he is very very busy and don’t know when he could get to it. I reminded him I had an appointment but didn’t need it back the same day. He said “you’ll be lucky if you see it by Monday”. He was incredibly rude and disrespectful from the moment I said hello. I just said call me when you know if I need the tire replaced. At 1:45 he called to say “I got good news and bad news. Good news is we can fix the tire bad news is you need new front brakes AND rotors. Sweetheart I can’t believe your driving around like this!” The job is about $540 but I can get you out the door for about $420. I said I need to call you right back. I thought I just had brakes installed 7000 miles ago so how was it possible? I called Carlos back and told him I had brakes installed about 7000 miles ago how is it possible I need new brakes. I told him my husband said to leave it alone we’re coming to get it. He said ok sure and hung up! Carlos went from I could crash and die to ok no problem. I went there at 3:00 and Carlos was already gone! You must not have been that busy!! I will never go there again. What a scam artist.

My brother went their with an almost new 2017 Toyota Camry and they tried to rob him by selling him 4 new tires. They failed him for tires but still charged him. The inspection manager (Hispanic) was very rude too. We took the car to another place and got the inspection done for 32$ only without changing anything. They tried to trick him to buy new tires. Will never go there again for inspection.

I went to do a spark plug change, after 3 hours they called me that they did not have the feet to do the job, I went and bought the spark plugs in the same business and then I went to him and asked him why it was the reason that they could not To do the job if the spare parts were available, the response of the supposed mechanic who needed to take it to a special place that they could not repair it, I think they should have workers who are really non-lazy professionals like that one who did not even move the vehicle to check it, my truck was in the same place where I left it..

Took car in for an inspection and to also have them take a look at a mouse coming from the AC/fanbelt. The manager was very rude when he called to to tell me the car inspection passed and was ready for pick up and when I asked him if they looked at the fan belt noise he told me they didn’t notice anything or hear anything. So they clearly did not take a look at it whatsoever, because when I picked up my car the noise was of course still there. Having said that the car past inspection I figured it was okay to drive. I drove it a few times over the week with the fan belt noise getting louder each time, clearly getting worse. Today as I was driving the brake and battery light came on and the whirling noise now because a worse crunching noise, clearly driving it after I was told it was safe, was not the case at all. Horrible customer service and they don’t listen to your requests or problems at all. Very dangerous to have a staff that is so improperly trained and negligent with customer repairs. I would recommend never going to this Pep Boys location or any other for that matter.

Thay said you have to leave the car here all day for oil change because they have only 2 people working. Why I have to make appointment . Appointment doesn’t mean any thing.

Got there on time for my appointment spoke with Carlos who confirmed my reservation for 4 tires to be installed. Waited about 2 hours but the installation and balancing was done to my satisfaction. Also had additional promotional discounts applied to the invoice. Very happy with the service and the price.

Horrible service!!! The Manager Carlos Vargas spoke very poorly and disrespected my pregnant wife on the phone when she asked to fix the defective tire that they installed 6 weeks earlier. Carlos was very rude and insisted that he “didn’t owe us anything” since roadside hazard protection was declined; however, it was not offered when we got the tire fixed initially. We left while the tire was being fixed and returned and asked to speak to Carlos again, but was informed that he was gone. Once the tire was fixed and paid for we came out and checked the tire only to find a screw sitting on top of the fixed tire. We went back inside and the worker blamed “lazy philly carpenters” for the screw.

Friendly and helpful. My regular mechanic went out of business, so I decided to try Pep boys to get my car inspection. Id used them before for some tire problems & was happy with the service. The service manager was very reassuring & before you know it, it was done. Ill be taking my car here from now on.

The customer service is very bad the person who resives the people who will give maintenance to their vehicle does not specify the repairs does not specify anything just asks what you will do and basically your name and nothing else does not say if you have better products or something else Better for the car and you arrive and it is as annoying two days in different months that I have to go through that should give you advice or make it do other things since you do not know how to treat the client or sell so I will not return here we all like to see at least what type of oil will they use, what filters ect, its not just ok when were done well call you noo😵😡😡😡

I called in early in the morning for my TMPS metal sensor into my rims, they said you had to make an appointment, or you can come in and just dropped it off, it will be done in a few hours, and that they will give me a call. I called the first time, they said, there were 1 car ahead of me. Waited 3 hours later, i called in, they told me that the car was finished. I called uber to pick me up and dropped me off at this location, little did i know, my car wasnt finished nor did they took a look at my car. And they said they would get on it in a few minutes. If i could, i would rate this place 0-star if possible.

Expect to wait at least 3 to 4 hours, even if you schedule online. Understaffed and overbooked all the time. Crew members take short cuts and dont take care when doing oil changes. Twice Ive had issues, the first time I overlooked it when they didnt rotate my tires, check fluids, quart of oil short, etc. But the last time they were two quarts low and my check engine light came on. Very dissapointing.

Poor customer service. Took my car to have the battery tested, and that seemed to be too much work for Danny, My car would not start back up, when asked for a jump Danny stated Id have to wait a few hours for him to get to me + being that my car is a Dodge he may not be able to get to the battery to give me a jump. Not to mention the disgusting attitude he continued to display because of my intrusion to his hang out time. Poor customer service is an understatement for this guy. Please just hire someone who at minimum is not bothered to help customers, Atleast pretend.

Traveling to florida on a long trip. Asked for a full service oil change and also asked if they could check front tire. It was slowly losing Air. I ask if tire was check he assured me it was. (Not Ture) when i got into car dash read that tire is low??? I pulled around and they now put air into the tire. I ask again this time i ask the so called tech that did the oil change. Did you check tire for any nails? He said he checked (Again Not True) i got onto i95. Less then 100 miles low air same tire? I finally got to a station they found a nial in that tire. Fixed and on my way. But $96 for a full services oil chang and no service provided !! 0 stars is what pep boys are getting from me!!!

I wasnt sure about pep boys but they always do my oil change good except one time my van didnt sound right. It all about who does it. Recently I got alot of work done on my van . And this man Carlos called me to work with the price which I appreciated. When I got my van I wasnt sure than I drove and my van was perfect . I’ve been to this pep boys a few times and every time I came, I was taken care of a man by the name of Rease. His service is fast and he explains to you what exactly is wrong with your car. Honestly, I don’t trust anybody but him when it comes to working on my car. His work is great!!!

The service staff couldnt be bothered to show up on time. I wanted the Check Engine light checked and they were very disinterested. Tech told me to come back tomorrow. How difficult is it to read a CAN Bus device?- - - - -Pep Boys replied to this post, instructing me to send an E-Mail. They lost over $1,200 in sales that day and all future sales as I have no intention of bringing my business to a company that has my direct contact information on file but chooses to post a disingenuous let us make it right message here rather than acting to actually correct the egregious behavior displayed.Im done with Pep Boys and will not ever again recommend them to anyone I know.

*Update* After making a complaint I walked back in to be greeted by a phone call from upper management, they are doing their very best to make it right. I am very impressed and pleased to see such a large chain taking such quick actions make things right. Also big thanks to Jose for all of the help.Made an appointment to have my tires replaced. Showed up 45 minutes early. I told them I was gonna wait since its just mounting and balancing four tires. Geo behind the service counter told me thats fine, it should be between one and a half two hours. Two hours in I go up to ask Jose whats the status, he didnt know but he did tell my they only have one tech working. Again two hours later the have just now pulled it into a bay. Two and a half hours later they have just now pulled the tires for my truck, it is still sitting in an bay not on a lift without any of the wheels pulled. I was lied too about the completion time. Do not take your vehicle here for any sort of service.

She was pleasant and answered all my questions and made sure I had the right items. I also had a question for the Service Dept and that person wasnt so pleasant. I came in because when I hit a Bump up the road... my Bumper is now about to Fall OFF! I asked for Help from the Staff and They recommended Fasteners BUT Reduse to Help at ALL... Even though I am Disable and Unable to Bend my Right Knee! Other then telling me where they were located in the Store. They Were NO HELP AT ALL!

I was in the Northeast going home with my 8 month pregnant wife and my car started smoking heavily. Luckily I was near a pep boys and was able to make it to this store. I was taken care of a young knowledgeable mechanic named Rease he diagnosed the problem and had me and my family in and out. Go see him, he made this situation burden much more bearable.

Would give 0 starts if I could. Dropped off for oil change and inspection. Was told it would take 2 hours and they would call me. Confirmed they had my correct info (they even had to call when I first walked out of the store to bring back my keys). No one ever called. I waited 5 hours. Called in to find out what was going on. I was put on hold for 30 minutes. I hung up and called back. I was then told..... We left you a message earlier. Confirmed my correct phone number. (There was never a call or message). Told me I was lying that yes they did leave you a message. Mechanic said you need 4 new tires and new brakes What do you want me to do. I told them I needed to come in and pick up my car as I had to leave work. He mumbled. I picked up the car with no mention at all of the car not passing inspection. Now the alignment on the car pulls to left so hard its difficult to drive. Horrible experience top to bottom.

Helpful staff, good selection of parts. I bought a gas cap and wanted a lanyard for it. First the cashier told me where to look; when I couldnt find it, the parts man spent several minutes helping me look. Couldnt find it, but the staff was friendly and helpful.

There is always an issue at pepboys and this is the third location I have been to. They are very slow, I had an appointment at 8am showed up at 7:45 and still did not get out until 1:50pm. They are overpriced and tell you about problems with your car when its convenient for them. They serviced my car multiple times fixed an issue but it wasnt until I complained that they found another issue mysteriously 2 days later that would cost hundreds. I am done with these scam artist

Monday my friend Naomi grandmother made her an appointment to have her car serviced at the bustleton store. She strongly recommended that she talk to Roy when she got there. And for good reason!! Not only did Roy provide her with the best possible service that she could ask for but he got her car in and out faster than he promised!! She highly recommend this store for my repair needs. Make sure you see Roy though I assure you he will do his best to keep you happy.He was very hospitable and met her needs for her service. So if anyone needs an oil change ask for Roy!!

Im really shocked to read any negative review about this particular Pep Boys. Ive been a customer for the past 6 years and the service has been consistently great! The employees are always very courteous in the service station and are always very helpful! Jose is such a nice customer service rep and Ed always performs quality work on my car! Yesterday I came in with a flat tire and mentioned that I had to be somewhere at 7, Jose ensured that I would be out in about 10 minutes and I was!! Luckily I had a tire warranty and didnt have to pay anything!

Not going back for service ever again. Last time went for a simple oil change. Website claims a safety check is done on various other systems when you get oil change service including checking brakes. Got car back missing a lug on one tire and with another tire fitted on too loosely. Within days the tire was wobbling and had to be correctly tightened. A call confirmed such inspections are part of the service but the manager claimed video showed this was not done on the car and tires were never touched. Within months of service, the oil filter came off, oil leaked out and the engine overheated and died. Thanks a lot.

I Made an appointment to have my oil changed. Showed up 30 minutes early. I told them I was going to come back for my vehicle. Geo behind the service counter told me thats fine, it should be between 45 minutes to one hour. I come back after 3:30 hours to give them time and expecting my vehicle to be ready (it was just an oil change). After I come back my vehicle was in the parking lot were I left it. I was told it wasn’t ready that they were not even working on it yet. They then took my vehicle in I decide to wait, I was told 15 minutes, that’s when I decide to replace my windshield wiper blades since I was waiting anyway. They told me not problem it will take the same time to do both things (15 minutes), they proceeded to change the oil and I install the new wipers. 1 hour goes by and my vehicle still not ready. I proceed to ask again and was then told to go outside to wait for my vehicle because it was ready I waited another 30 minutes outside (it was 95 degrees that day). I went back inside and no explanation, after another 20 minutes my vehicle is finally ready (after 5+ hours of waiting). After inspecting my vehicle I notice that the wipers are not property installed, they Were in the middle of the windshield. I go back in and was told that they could not do anything to fix what they had done (they said they tried). I ask for the manager and Geo (very unprofessional) told me that manager was not there and that he couldn’t do anything anyway. I decide to call the next day when the manager was there and he told me to come in. I went in again and didn’t even have to get off my vehicle, the manager checked the wipers and agreed that they were not properly installed, he said that he could fix them either. I was in total shock, it messed up the sensors of my vehicles left side and on top of that I now have to drive with my wipers in middle of the windshield all the time blocking my vision. This was the worse service I ever received. How in the world you take your vehicle to “professionals” and end up with a damaged sensors and wipers? This is a nightmare! I still in disbelief. Please don’t go to this place!

I will never go back there. I was taking my car there for an oil change for about an year. Its usually a 2 hour wait if you walk in. Given that you dont make an appointment, thats okay. I was told to make an appointment in order to get in quicker. I make the earliest appointment they had and brought my vehicle in. I was told an hour and itd be finish, and I check in in an hour, they didnt even move it from the parking lot. The woman at the desk told me it would be another hour! WHAT IS THE POINT IN MAKING AN APPOINTMENT WHEN YOU WILL STILL HAVE TO WAIT TWO HOURS?! I took my vehicle and left. I dont know why it takes so long there, but dont lie to people and say one hour, then itd actually be longer. The last time I went there I vowed I wouldnt go back, but I did and look. Disappointed again. Im going elsewhere.

Worst services ever!!! i went there for a simple wheel alignment. they have no idea how to properly align a car. moreover, i have to turn steering wheel little to the right in order to drive straight. i went back for 3 times ask for re-alignment. i drive home with a disappointment each time after the service because they didnt fix the alignment issue until this time they accurately aligned my steering wheel with tire. however, this time steering wheel feel so loose and i found my hood release were broken after the service. absolutely wont go back to this shop. If you want a good and hassle free service, i suggest you go some other reputed repair shop or you going to be disappointed. Anyway, the only good thing about this place is the service adviser are willing to take your car for another check.

Earlier I posted my experience with the phone over at this place being hung up on 3xs and I felt bad because I complained about it and when I went there they had the part already for me and feeling bad when I came home, I deleted it...Guess what. They set me up me up because I complain to the corporate office and they had the part waiting for me when I got back home it was not the part that was supposed to be so I am now posting this back up.... my original post was why have a phone if no one answers it I got hung up on three times and not happy but I can see this place is a mess I will never ever go back there Im only going to deal with the corporate office to return this stupid item from now on and these people are a bunch of Stunads!

The tech did not know what he was doing. Almost cost me thousands for a heater issue. You tube to the rescue, I only had to press two buttons, the power button and the defrost button at the same time to reset the heater. That was free. Not the cost of a new heater core plus installation like pep boys said.

Bad service I went for oil change I have free tires rotation they refuse to do it for me when ask why because for your safety we can not do it. I just changed my tires at pepboys 2 months ago. I said ok they did not put oil change sticker when ask why they said we dont have them. I ask for the store manger which was ignorant. I want to take my car to dealer to see if they change oil or not because level of oil is too low.

Waited in line for a simple diagnostic check...for 15 mins. Then when I was helped...they said they didn’t have the whoever or whatever to do it. It’s Pep Boys. It’s literally an entire store of whoever and whatever you need for these things...no?

If you need a can of Fix a Flat or some oil or polish the retail store is well stocked. That being said if you need mechanical work or service on your vehicle, avoid Pep boys like the plague. They will at best replace your brakes just because they need the money. They do not stand behind the repairs and are more prone to totally mess your vehicle up than fix it. They dont replace the parts properly,and youll be lucky if they put back everything they took apart. The WORST and I canT stress this enough, the absolute WORST service I ever encountered! Dont go here unless you want lies, shoddy workmanship, and expensive usually unneeded parts. If a real mechanic or a competent one walked into this place hed have a heart attack. They DO NOT KNOW WHAT theyre DOING HERE! STAY AWAY!

I would give no star if there was an option. Even though, I was not satisfied with the services I received from my previous visits at this pep boys, I returned there to do oil change yesterday. But this visit was the worst. The person who took the service order told me that it will be done in 45 minutes to 1 hour. After 1 hour, I noticed my car was not moved from the place where I parked. So, I went to the service counter and simply asked if my oil change was done to another person who was standing there. The response I received from this person shocked me! He said If you didnt receive a text message, that means it is not done. If you cant wait, you can take your key and get out of my face. I requested the service manager, but he did not show up. So I requested the store manager and told him what happened. He said he would address the issue. After 5 minutes, the person who took my order initially came back and told me, my oil change will be done soon and I will not be charged for it. I was not charged for the oil change, but I will never ever go back there. I will take my business where customers are appreciated. I am surprised by the attitude of professionals this particular pep boys hire.

I got tires rotation from them. They told me that passenger side of wheel hub assembly is stripped and it was like that. They wanted to charge me about $650 to replace it. I highly doubted what they said and I believed they lied. After talked to the service manger, we found out the technician stripped the wheel hub. They agreed to replace it on their cost. It took a week to change it and I never had a loaner from them. Yesterday I took my car to dealer for service. Dealer told me to replace other two wheel hubs because of they are stripped as well and I was shocked. How comes Pep boy never told me the other two was stripped! Dealer said it looks like somebody hammered lug nut to the assembly and Pep boy thinks customer will never found it out. I have drove the car which has two broken wheel hubs for over a month. I was risking my life! I hate myself to bring the car for tire rotation with them. I dont understand how a technician can screw up 3 wheel hubs for a simple tire rotation! Please be ware of their service! Do yourself a favor to stay away from them!

Had a nail in my tire which was causing a slow leak. I went to a couple of tire stores who informed me they were just too busy to take me on. R u kidding? At one place they were standing around talking. Pep boys took me in, informed me it might take awhile. But theres a target next store so u r not bored. They called me within 1/2 hour and it was fixed. Love them!!!!

Today, Thursday, December 12, 2013. I took my car to Pep Boys. I wanted 4 new tires. I was greeted in a timely manner, the waiting area was clean, It wasnt too crowded, so far so good. First, I was disappointed that the commercial on TV that says buy 3 tires, get one free...DID NOT APPLY TO MY CAR!!!! . I own an 05 Pontiac Grand Am.I asked why? They said, when they put my information in, I did not apply. That was the explanation!!!! not, possibly... the tires for my car are too big, and the ones on sale are small tires, or just the opposite, they are for trucks! nope, no explanation. It seemed every query I asked, was very annoying to the associates, like I was wasting their time. Okay, we decide on tires, they say it will take 1 hour, it was 3!!!!!! Maybe it was done before that, but no one came out to tell me it was done!!!!I spent $500, and no one even thanked me for my business.The associates there acted as if they did not want to be there, that the customers were a burden.Miserable
