My experience at Kens Automotive was absolutely amazing. I actually purchased a 2011 Mercedes Benz C300 from them. We negotiated a very very fair price for a vehicle that was definitely worth much more than I paid. The vehicle was in excellent condition and Ken and his staff told me what maintenance they recently preformed on the vehicle, informed me of common issues with this particular vehicle, gave me a vehicle history report. They prepped the car for delivery and made sure everything was topped off and in tack. The power passenger seat needed repair at the time of delivery, but Ken promised to order the part and preform the labor free of charge, and they fulfilled that promise. Also, I had the vehicle inspection/emissions done at their shop for a very reasonable price. It passed and they told me that within 5,000 miles Ill need tires. They quoted 4 Continental All Season tires(Tires that originally came on Mercedes) for $360. They wont charge you for repairs that arent needed. I cant say enough about Kens. They are all-the-way-around awesome. Ill never take my vehicle anywhere else. I suggest you do the same. Thanks Ken and staff for your integrity and awesome customer service. 🚘

Since moving to Philly over 2 years ago Ive gone to Kens Automotive for annual car inspections, oil changes, and have called them a few times for questions/brief consultations. Each and every time they have been super helpful, efficient, polite, sometimes even funny, and overall great. They make your wait there (which is never long) pleasant and provide wifi. I appreciate their honesty and never felt taken advantage of with car repairs. 👍

They definitely tried up charging me on a suspension and new tire because I was pressed on time. (2k total from a 500ish estimate). Then the leopard arm sleeve guy tried covering it up by telling me the old salesman line of “I left my other job because it was unethical there” (out of nowhere lol). Took my car to a dealer and got a different assessment of the suspension and my tire is working fine and not losing pressure after of month after nail repair. The guys here do good work but just be aware, they are opportunistic and will try screwing you. Leopard sleeve guy is shady.

I paid $120 for diagnosis. They diagnosed the issue and set up a time to return for repair. Bear in mind, after the initial diagnosis, my trunk mysteriously stopped working. But hey, it happens right? So I come back for repairs. They charge me $300+ for repairs. Nothing is fixed. All the noises that were made before are still happening. Also, after the repair now my airbag light is on too, which it wasnt before. So not only am I out $400+. I STILL have the same issues as before with the added issues of my trunk not working and apparently there is an issue with my airbags?? I really wanted this place to be my go-to spot but how can someone spend $400+ somewhere and the problem not be fixed? In fact, now there are more issues than what I originally wanted fixed.*Edit after reading their reply, I dont even own a truck*

Went for an inspection, service was quick and friendly.

I didn’t get any work done on my car, but I already love this place. I was having (what I thought was) an issue with my breaks making a creaking noise. I brought it to Ken’s and showed them a video of the issue - the guy at the front immediately knew what it was and told me it didn’t need to be fixed and was normal. I think most people are worried about getting taken for a ride at the mechanic, but they were honest and didn’t try to take my business when there wasn’t any issue with my car. So they seem pretty honest and trustworthy in my eyes. I’ll definitely be bringing my car here next time I think I have an issue.

I’ve been taking my 2007 Toyota Prius to Ken and his amazing team for the many, many, many years I have owned this car. When I first purchased it, I was a newly single mom who just moved to Center City and did not have very many people that I could trust, let alone someone in a field notorious for dishonesty. In every dealing that I have had with Ken and his team (at least once a year during inspection time), he has always taken the time to explain what the issue was in an incredibly thorough manner, not just answering my questions, but also educating me in either how to better maintain my vehicle and/or prevent the issue from happening in the future. When my new husband entered into my life, the first couple of times he helped me compare and research other mechanics and shops to make sure we were in the best hands, and he found out the same thing I did - that there is no place we would rather take our vehicles. My car has 207,000 miles on it and over the years, I’ve had breaks, suspension system, exhaust system, tires, batteries, and muffler taken care of here. Most recently, the catalytic converter was stolen off of my car while parked in our indoor parking garage. (BTW Prius owners be aware! This is a super common part stolen off of our cars where thieves can literally make tens of thousands of dollars on an overnight spree cutting these off our precious Prius vehicles). Not only did Ken have my car back to me in two days, I asked him about a cage that I can install in my car to prevent this from happening again (this is a $1,500 issue). First, he let me know that the thief who stole my catalytic converter did an amateur job, so he didn’t have to charge the full price to replace, he also let me know that no one will steal a replacement part and that I didn’t need the cage either. Twice, twice my friends, Ken could have gotten extra mula from me, especially now that I trust him so much, but he didn’t. What more could you want in taking care of your precious vehicle? Never had anything good luck here. Ken and Mark are fantastic to work with . They dont push unnecessary work and are reasonably priced for their services. Its a little bit of a drive to Chinatown from West Philly, but its worth it for the reliable service. So happy to have found a good mechanic that I trust.

My brother and I was looking for a mechanic. Cheap .so I asked him to fix my car.1st thing he charged my brother and Igot a bill tuof900dollaras for a aliment.also for breaks in the front and ikey was not working with the ignition at all. it wont.move.so he came up with idea.the code key and also the key he made.on top of each other and turn ( I WHAT?I)just let it go.and it work a couple of weeks.then ithat stop working.i finally got him down to 700 dollars. I went up there later today and ask to fix the car Heltells me not until Monday And I told him look I need the car the fixed my brother and I are both on disabled. Its hard for us to get around as it is I fill cheated.and hurt.. hes taking care all the car.that come first . what about the people that already paid? My brother and I put all of or money we have. To buy this car.u can tell that me and my brother have mental problem. And he took full advantage of .God dont like ugly.

These guys are great. They know what they are doing and take care of the customer. They have very reasonable prices and perform good work without taking too long. They also dont try to push unnecessary work onto the customer. They will tell you what you need right now and what could wait and leave it up to you to decide.

This place is great. I dont know if well be able to find another honest decent shop after we move.Weve been going to Kens for about three years now.When we brought our car in for an oil change back on September 17, Ken told us that our rear brakes would be due for a change the next time we go in. Fast forward to February., I made an appointment for oil change and the brakes. Brought our car in. Waited for service. Ken comes back to tell us that after taking a look at it, they wouldnt need to be changed as we have not driven the car that much. There were no signs of wear or tear.Now granted, he couldve just changed it and charged us. But he didnt. He was honest and save us a good chunk of money. Friendly reliable honest people here!

Ive been to Kens about 6 times and have been meaning to write a review. Part of me was waiting for something to go wrong (I know, terrible) but I was WRONG. I havent been disappointed not one time. No one wants to pay for auto repairs but when you have to, you want to go a place you can trust your vehicle and Kens is it! He is professional, courteous and honest (and funny). His staff members are personable and they communicate with you about what your car needs and doesnt need. What can wait and what cant wait. They not only replace parts but they actually REPAIR vehicles. No unnecessary sales because, lets be honest, theyre busy because of the good quality of their work. I went somewhere else because it was closer to my home and ran back to Kens. I asked for recommendations on FB and the feedback was, Kens - lol. I cant escape Kens and dont want to. Heres to hoping we continue a great working relationship.

We could not be happier with the service we received here. I called Friday afternoon and left a message with some questions. I was called and texted later that evening and they were able to get me in the next morning. I was impressed that they followed up after hours and were so accommodating. Their prices were reasonable, the staff were pleasant and clearly very knowledgeable. The amount of time they estimated the job would take was also accurate, which we appreciated. We will be taking our cars here from now on.

Honest business and great prices. I actually came to this shop to do my safety inspection after failing one at Linett Gulfs on Spring Garden. This first shopped asked me to change out my front brakes and rotors, all 4 tires, and the back bearings in order to pass the inspection - with their quote being $2000+. I felt this was a ridiculous scam and came to drop off my car with Kens right before it closed for a 2nd inspection. The shop called me back the next day around noon to let me know I just needed to have my front brakes changed and that they would only charge me $130 to do so. This is a great and friendly business that doesnt try to swindle you, and I will be coming back here for all my repairs and inspections.

Philadelphia friends with vehicles... I think Ive publicly endorsed a business one time in my life (i.e. Yelp, google reviews, etc.). If anything, better or worse, Im more likely to mock the idea of it. So this is a rarity for me, but more than deserved. Kens Auto (10th and Callowhill) is above and beyond in every way. Many of you (who regularly tease me) know Im obsessed with my Jeep. Well Ken has repeatedly treated her like a lady and doesnt crush my wallet to do so. Thank you Ken for getting her back up and running like new and for all the tips and help in making the torturous DMV state transfer process significantly less painful.

This is the most pitted car dealer I have ever seen; it costs 20 yuan for a small hole to repair a tire; and there are some things that do not need to charge more, they deliberately ask you to pay for repairs. The black shop will never go to this dealership to repair cars again.
