Every experience I have had with VAC has been excellent. Great diagnosticians and technicians always keep my BMW in tip top shape. Dealing with VAC is such a better experience than the dealer where I always feel like they are trying to get me on things I dont need and overcharge me on things I do need.

The Guys at VAC are awesome! Helped me with a uncommon issue with my 2010 M3, replacing the Rear Subframe, Differential, and Axle with another unit they were able to find and inspect. The Price was honest and the work was solid. They even noticed that the place I had just had my new exhaust system installed at had placed a portion in upside down and flipped which caused it to not reach the hangers (Thank you for fixing that!). Even hooked me up with a new clamp for one of the tips since mine broke. Thank you VAC Motorsports and Armand! You guys are awesome!

Ive been with VAC for about half a year now. Even though current pandemic situation affected their business hard they did not lower their standards of service and commitment to their customers. Last time I did an insurance claim and some suspension work on my pre-LCI E90 335i and let me tell you that with limited personnel and being overwhelmed they took time to address most of my concerns with my car, did great job on fixing the body on my car and provided a lot of feedback. Separate shout-out to John who dealt with me directly and worked to find proper solution to the issues I had with a car. The wait times for service were somewhat high but it is understandable with how overwhelmed the place got in the past month and partially it was due to insurance company taking its time with the claim. Bottom line it is the best independent shop in Philadelphia and I will continue to collaborate with them on heavy line maintenance on my car and any possible internal upgrades I have planned in the future.

I’ve been using VAC not only as a supplier for parts but also a machine shop since 2009 .... they are hands down the best in performance bmw parts and machining. Hayyan, is the best parts guy out there considering he himself is an enthusiast, and actually has knowledge in everything bmw . There is no comparison to the level of knowledge and expertise with this company..... the only gripe I have is that sometimes the machine shop is backed up because there are so many happy customers booked in advance!!!! This was my first time visit to VAC Motorsports with my 98 E36 M3. I had a laundry list of general maintenance to be performed along with some specific issues that I wanted advice on. John and Armand did a super job of keeping me updated during the work as well as discussing options with me. 5 stars from me because they talked me out of things that did not make sense for my car/situation. They earned my trust, Ill be going back!

Repaired two vacuum leaks. Super fast service. Nice guys. I do wish they would have shut off my SES light while they had the vehicle. Very clean and amazingly fast.

Ive been going to the dealer for services for the past 4 vehicles Ive owned but I wanted to try something else since my local dealer started lying about service items.I wanted to try VAC for normal services like fluid changes or repairs when I eventually need them. My first 2 visits for oil changes on 2 separate cars went really smoothly.I like the guys they have in the service department. John and Armand are really friendly and honest. Ill be using VAC for the foreseeable future.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Scheduled a month or so ahead for bearings/studs/ the works for my New (to me) E92 M3. Ended up adding some parts for install before the date and they also helped me fix some exhaust install issues I had experienced as well! They went above and beyond to help and I had nothing but an extremely pleasurable experience.John was a breeze to work with. Very personable and made me feel at ease with all things that needed to be done.Richie and Matt (I believe was his name) were great as well. The diffuser install was WAY better than expected as it needed to be modified for fitment. Car drives like its new and was willing to get the exhaust set up 100% before he would let me take the car. Dedicated to ensuring I was leaving with the car the way I wanted it to be!Being a little over an hour away from where I live, the trip and time spent were absolutely worth it. I cannot recommend them enough!

It was my first time there. This place was highly recommended, and I assure you that you wont be disappointed. My car was checked out at 2 different mechanic shops. None of the mechanics could figure out the problem, but at VAC Motorsports, they were very meticulous check the problem, were very courteous, and were within reason with pricing with the repairs. Secondly, while the mechanic work was being done, they recommended to change out some other parts since the entire engine compartment was taken part ... and at that time they swiftly handle the job at hand. I’ve been dealing with VAC for 4 years now, bought a 528i from Armand ran great for years, now own a 550i GT, I had problems with the turbo hoses, one place wanted $3,000 to replace 4, 1 inch hoses. Took the car to VAC and they replaced the hoses and charged 30 times less than the other company, just had all the coils and plugs replaced didn’t have the full balance not only did they replace everything the car takes off like a rocket !!!!! And Armand allowed me to bring the balance back to him and didn’t hassle me..... there are some people who may not agree with VAC, but one thing for sure two are certain Armand, John and when Mike was there are great guys ... they will give it to you straight with no chaser but will assist you to ease the burden ... and I’ll continue to support VAC Motorsport as long as I’ll own my BMW!!!!!

The service was awesome as usual and I had the feeling, as I always do, that they cared about me and my car. Service: Excellent analysis and information sharing, allowing the customer to remain in the drivers seat (figuratively!) throughout the repair process. These guys are experts who assess and correct what other mechanics may have mangled on your BMW. Ive had ignition, diagnostic, body and regular maintenance done with John & Armond. Always the best. It is worth the expense and usually cheaper to get it done right the 1st time with VAC.

I dont know why you would go anywhere else if you have a BMW. These guys are the best. They even called me to ensure I was happy after a major repair. I have never had trust for a mechanic shop but they are much more than that and over the years Ive formed a great relationship with them that has my 5 series pushing past 180k with no unexpected problems at all.

I refer anyone with a foreign car to this shop. They have done everything from a simple brake job to an engine replacement on my BMWs and all of the jobs have been flawless. They are very honest and do not overcharge for parts or labor. If they give you a quote for price & parts, go home, do your research, and youll see that the same price you find for parts are equal or higher than the price they charge, and the labor times for those jobs are equal or higher than what they will quote you. I brought my 535i into VAC for an alignment and to have the intake walnut blasted. I dealt with John, who is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. As someone who is reluctant to let other people work on my cars, I would definitely recommend VAC to anyone looking to have work done on their BMW.

Emailed them about a bracket being 1/8” shorter than it’s compliment bracket - no response. Had to drill out a slot to make it work.Emailed them asking a direct question if their seat slider worked with a specific recaro seat before I bought two - no response.Ordered two seat sliders anyway from them. After one week no response and order hung in process.Apparently if you visit their shop they give you service based on the reviews, but if you are across the country, it is radio silence.

Ive been a loyal VAC customer since 1999. Tony, Armand and the rest of the VAC Family are the BEST. I have not been disappointed with their service and their performance enhancement programs.Tony & Armand are straight shooters - No B.S. If you are the owner of a BMW and your past your maintenance warranty then this is the only mechanic you will ever need. This is a pure Bavarian Motor Works mechanic shop inSouth Philadelphia.

My car lost power steering and they were able to fit my in their queue and turned it around in a day. John helped me once again (been going to them for 10 years). Will admit they are not cheap but their quality of work stands behind the price as I never have any issues after theyve worked on my car. One of the few places that I trust with my car.

I own a 2007 BMW328xi with 250K miles on it. I experienced what seemed like a cylinder misfire and took it to my local mechanic. He couldnt identify the problem and told me to take it to the dealer. The dealer did nothing and said it might be the 4 wheel drive control and it would cost more than the worth of the car to fix. I then remembered twenty years ago I owned a business in S Philly and used to get my other BMW serviced at VAC Motorworks. I called Arman and made an appointment. Two days later I had my car fixed, running better than ever, for a fraction of what the dealer wanted. Just need another 50K miles out of this car and with Armans help, I think it will happen. Great service, honest people who really know BMWs inside and out. BETTER THAN ANY DEALER FOR SURE!!!

Exceptional Service

I wanted to thank VAC for making sure that I got the parts I needed, when I needed them, on short notice. They answered my questions even very late in the evening. In a world of sketchy vendors, VAC is a breath of fresh air.

Long time customer of VAC, I always take my car there. regular service and real issues. They have good technicians, and an honest team. They also have a good racing department, if that is your thing. Armand and crew have helped me out several times. This is my second BMW (e34, e60), and I always recommend this shop to any and all BMW owners I know.

Armand and John are top notch mechanics who do good work and don’t overcharge. They did a great job with my repairs, and they even helped me find recall campaigns to get one of my issues fixed for free by the dealership.

I purchased original parts and was sent an aftermarket part. They then tried to convince me that it was original...then they denied sending it to me. They got the supplier to do the same. Chuck is the person that called me to deny my request for replacement of the correct part or a full refund.

VAC motorsports came highly recommended to me from a coworker after my car stalled out and hydro locked: I was afraid I did irreversible damage. I have done extensive research on my E46 and I figured there was problems with my oil separator.When I called, I spoke with Michael who knew exactly what the problem was and wasnt afraid to ball park a rough estimate over the phone. This put me at ease and more importantly gave me an idea of whether it was worth it to get fixed. His high estimate was $1500 if they needed to do a full intake service along with many other minor things that could go wrong.Once they were able to see my car, and realized it was hydro locked, they called me back. I explained to them all my problems and with 225k miles, I wasnt sure if repair would be worth it. My car is in great condition given its age and mileage and they assured me it was.After they got the oil out and changed spark plugs they started the car and it ran and relieved me of my state of panic. They updated with me with the good news that I did not need the intake service.They called me with the final bill of, much to my surprise $1640. I could not understand why less work was needed and the bill was higher than the estimate. They fixed other problems of mine like the water pump and thermostat that I was never quoted. When I inquired, they stated they were in there anyways and it needed it badly. This left me with a very bad feeling because I did not consent to this work, just merely discussed issues without mention of pricing.When I explained my frustrations, I was told that they figured my original quote was my budget. They showed me the faulty parts. In the future, I hope the experience will be transparent.So why 5 stars still? My car now runs like a top, they spent a lot of time explaining my car issues along with other general car info and they seemed to care about my 330XI as much as I do. These are not just your typical mechanics, they are specialists who love what they do and it shows. Last night, I even received a phone call to make sure everything is running right.I am not giving 5 stars because the experience was flawless, they get 5 stars because theyre the only ones in the area I would trust to work on my car. Their knowledge of the vehicles they work on is bar none and I am sure if you take your car here you wont be disappointed.

The management was courteous and thoughtful. They allowed me to help decide the repairs I needed. My once shuddering engine idles silently again.

I find the VAC folks excellent to work with, accommodating and very competent. I had a situation where we initially thought we were going to need a very expensive new part flown in from Timbuktu. As it turn out the guys managed to fix the problem at little cost, negating the need for the great expense...I recommend VAC to anyone with a BMW.

I have known Armand and his team for a long time, this is a family business and definitely if you own a BMW car, this is the place to take it. It is not a fancy place, and the lobby area doesnt have free coffee machine, ( if you ask they probably will give you some) but they will be honest about your repair and the price you will pay. At the end that is what is most important somebody you can trust and will do a good job, most importantly will give you a guarantee about the job they do. I had a 318i that we made it run to the 300K + miles and now I have a 330i 2006 that is getting very close to the 200K. These cars require regular maintenance, there are build to run and handle beautiful nothing else, so be prepared to have a trustful mechanic on your side after your dealer warranty is off. For the record they have access to all the software upgrades and genuine parts, but also they can give you aftermarket upgrades and parts, try that with the BMW dealership!!!Last, if you have a problem or not satisfied, he and his team will work with you to make it work, now if you want to change a transmission for $100 bucks, maybe you will need to find another place.

If you live in Philadelphia this is the only place you should take your BMW for repairs.They are reasonably priced and are more knowledgeable than anyone else in the area in BMW repair. The only thing that is a pain is that they charge for check engine diagnosis so save yourself the hassle a buy a ODB2 code reader and go in there with the codes.They let you bring your own parts for a small fee (not warrantied) or the sell moderately priced parts that are warrantied.They are very helpful and have great customer service. They get repairs done quickly and you can keep your car for a few days if you are traveling.A+++++ shop.
