I agree with Miriam S.Todd was wonderful. I got a great deal on a gold necklace AFTER coming from Macys across the street. Macys was such a rip off (on gold). Ironically, I not only have never been to Cottman Trading Post but had not even heard of it before today.

My husband and I took some stuff in. And the gentlemen we worked with was very fair. We were very please and will go back.

Terrible. I tried to sell them a beautiful acoustic guitar. A hummingbird. I paid $500 for it they offered me $35. Are you kidding me? Of course I was like nope. I went to a better spot and got $200 for it. Im never going to this pawn shop again. And Ill make sure to tell my friends and family to avoid this terrible place.

I would really like to respond to all bad reviews myself because all they said is totally wrong!!!!I am a customer of Trading Post since years and from my first visit there I was always treated extremely well !Todd the owner is super friendly, very professional and most of it highly honest ! He treats every single customer with respect and he tries to do the best he can to work with you !I have sold item, bought others and every time I go there is a successful experience! He has done so many nice things to satisfy my needs, he has gone far and beyond for me millions of times just to help me !I am dearly sorry for the customer whose opinion of Trading Post is so poor because this place, the owner and the workers they really don’t deserve it! I hope 🤞 who wasn’t satisfied will give this shop another chance to redeem themselves..... I am 💯 % convinced they will rethink their opinions!!!!!I could write and write all night long about this place but I don’t have enough good words I can use to describe how good and real and fair Trading Post staff is!I will never go anywhere else if I have to sell or pawn or even buy stuffs!You should honestly try this shop !

Stopped in today with my husband to sell some coins I had. The proprietor ead friendly, professional, and above all, honest! He paid me a fair price, and even told me to hang on to a coin set that would eventually go up in value.I would definitely do business with him again.

Whenever I come here, I am treated with respect. This is one of the few places that someone who works hard for their money can come to when they need help making ends meet. I never leave feeling emberassed or taken advantage of. Furthermore they always make sure to give me the best deal possible. They work with me to ensure that the outcome is as fair as possible for both them and the customer.I am glad Cottman Trading Post is nearby to help me out when I need it. They are a vital part of our neighborhood.

They buy everything is not true. Been in other shops around and they are them. They offer the lowest pay and not so Customer Service at all. The ones posting that is a great place to sell are friends that is why. I know they have to make a living like any other business but you can be honest and not a shark. I am a salesman too you know.

I have been 2 several pawn stores, NONE, & I mean none can compare with Cottman Trading Post. I really mean it. Not only are the beyond friendly, respectful, and have an extreme amount of courtesy, they dont try and cash in in a persons misfortune. They are very understanding to your plight. They offer extremely good prices for whatever you bring them. I have dealt with both guys and both are extremely pleasant, Todd in particular is the main person I have dealt with. Both men actually offered to give me a few more days on a few items that my time ran out on. I would give these guys 5 billion stars if I could. Dont EVER EVER, EVER go anywhere else. Once again, I cant say enough, Cottman Trading Post is beyond 1st class. They are a diamond in the rough. Trust me if you have to use the services of a business like this, DONT go anywhere else. Go to where your treated like royalty in 1st class. I plan to use them the rest of my life and its nice to know they are available. Good luck to all and especially the guys at COTTMAN TRADING POST.

Cottman Trading Post is more of a hangout for the guy behind the glass then any business type of establishment that makes money. Nothing is bought, nothing is sold nothing, ever happens, yet they say as advertised they buy anyting highest prices paid the guy behind the glass has nothing to do but play with the guitars and smoke cigarettes. If anybody ever goes in there its mostly for the check cashing service! I go to these guys regularly, and never once had a negative experience. They are very friendly and always professional when dealing with customers. But most importantly, They are always 100% fair when doing business with you and will explain the logic behind their decisions. Id recommend cottman trading post to everyone.

Got swindled. I Purchased a bass guitar for 125 or 150. It turned out being a left handed bass that was stung up for a right handed player. Guy said bring it back and when I did I was offered 65, I took the money and learned a life lesson in life. Spend a fewbucks more and purchase from a brand named store

I would give zero stars if it allowed, these guys are scumbags plain and simple, they low ball like Ive never seen a place do before. Even when you have something of significant value they act like no one will want it and it will be a hassle for them to get rid of just so they can give you 10-20 bucks when the item in question even used is worth a lot more. They also lie over the phone, dont believe anything these people say on the phone because when you get there trust me it will be a different story and a bunch of excuses. They sell online which is why they low ball you because they want their ebay fee and them taking pictures and the shipping to be all out of your end not theirs, they want to rob you and then have you pay them to do it. Avoid this place at all cost unless your a crack head and have EXPENSIVE tools that youll sell for next to nothing for drug money.

They only want gold and try ripping you off on anything else and they treat the customers like heroin addicts, everything i tryed selling them i sold my items fordouble their prices on Facebook marketplace

Todd or whatever his name is should be ashamed to work at a place that has a big sign that says highest prices paid. That couldnt be less true. Ive been shopping for a new place to sell my stuff and should have read the reviews before going here. What a waste of time. They should have a huge sign that says lowest prices paid instead. Lowballers that try to take advantage of people with every excuse in the book and outright lies starting with the big sign on their building.

This place is the worst! I took them a vintage amp, they wanted to low ball me and give 80.00 to 100. I took it somewhere else and got 300.00 cash. They false advertise. They signs say highest prices paid but yet they give low prices. For gift cards the sign says up to 90% I call they say 50%? Come on thats ridiculous. Dont advertise something that isnt true.
