Carl has been absolutely fantastic! As a newer tabletop player, Ive leaned heavily on him to help me make smart choices when starting out. Some of his recommendations have definitely helped me avoid many headaches. Hes friendly, inviting, and most of all knowledgeable about all things 40K.

I drove to the Warhammer store today because I was given way too many boxes of the same type of miniature for my birthday. Carl helped me exchange them for something I really wanted. He was great and knowledgeable. I look forward to returning to the store.

This review is a little late but better late than never! I really wanted to take a moment and thank Carl at the Warhammer store for being a real hero and saving a beast snagged box for me that he had ordered an extra of. He held off many people calling and asking why he still had a box in stock and I am extremely lucky that he went the extra mile to help me out. My Ork army wouldn’t be the same without his help!

Carlson is a great guy and runs a friendly, welcoming store. If youre looking for Games Workshop products, this is a great place to go.

So its my boyfriends birthday and he loves Warhammer. We are in Santa Cruz and decided to make a trip to my hometown in Fort Bragg and then swing by on the way home. I called ahead and spoke with Carl and he was stoked on the surprise I had planned. They close at 5pm on Sundays (understandable). We hit traffic and were late. I called and carl let us in! I was super happy and my boyfriend loved it! We got things that we cant find in Santa Cruz. Carl pretty much knows everything there is to know in the Warhammer world and We will be making the trip up to Petaluma just to come by. Thanks Carl!!

Well totally new to Warhammer 40K and miniature painting. Was excited to see that there was a Warhammer store near me. Went down and had an amazing experience. I could not agree more with the other reviews, Carl is the man! He was polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and just a great all around guy. As a newcomer looking to dip a toe into the Warhammer community, he pointed me in the right direction. Now I’m waist deep and going deeper. It’s always a great experience here and I appreciate Carl’s patience with a newcomer to the hobby. I can’t recommend this store enough.

So in the last month or so I became interested in the Warhammer hobby, so i decided to check this store out since its not too far from my home. All I can say is WOW! My experience in this store has been amazing! Carl is one of the nicest and most enjoyable people Ive had the pleasure of interacting with. He is very knowledgeable about not only the hobby, but also great at giving advice on painting the minis, which is great for someone like me with no previous experience with it. If i could give it more than five stars I would, cause Carl knocks it out of the park.

This was my first time going to a Warhammer store as well as my first time buying miniatures. It was pretty fantastic! They had everything I was looking for, Carl who helped me find it all was enthusiastic, clearly well versed in the hobby, and fun to talk to! A great place to shop for all your warhammer needs. The community is very welcoming to newcomers and provide content for all ages. I went there right after closing time and Carl was kind enough to let me do some last minute shopping.

Carl (Karl?) was freaking awesome! He set me up with my first box of Plague Marines and was full of knowledge about them and their abilities. He was thorough and made sure I had everything I needed to get started. I will be back again.

What a waste of time. If youre planning on going here anytime soon do NOT bring anyone with you. Only one person is allowed in this tiny place at a time and they wont even allow you to stand five feet away with the door open. Theres no signs outside that tell you this and if you walk in with someone will yell at you and shoo one of you out. Its astounding that a place rated so highly and as popular as this place put absolutely no thought into their covid plan.

I travel from SF just to shop here. Carl is amazing, knows so much and always willing to give you the right info. The shop always has exactly what I need and if on the off chance it’s out of stock, Carl will order what I need.

The owner takes every precaution when it comes to COVID-19. Masks are required. Only 1 person can be in the store, and the customers have a small area by the front door they can stand. He has hand sanitizer and he separates clean pens from used pens. Aside from that, he has a lot of knowledge on when we can expect more products to come in, including estimates on when upcoming releases will be on the shelves.

Carl is the MAN! He cares about every single person that walks in that store, whether it’s for a a long time player or someone who’s just getting in to the hobby. My friends and I started playing a while ago now and Carl has been a tremendous help and influence, we couldn’t thank him enough. Funny enough when talk about getting stuff, we don’t ask each other “hey who wants to go to the warhammer store” instead every time it’s “we gotta go see Carl”. He knows us by name and remembers everything from general armies we’re interested in, to the small details like paint jobs. WHAT AN AWESOME PLACE! I am new to warhammer and couldnt believe the help I received from the store and their employees. Everything I could have asked, they had an answer for! They were able to get me the correct paints and helped me start my necron army :) and if it wasnt in store they were able to order it for me. I couldnt be any happier with the respect and professionalism I received from here. Thank you! If youre just starting or an experienced nerd this is definitely the best warhammer store hands down !

Went today with goals of painting my Custodes army. Carl helped me figure out which primers are good choices for a gold army (Basecoat brass and zenithal highlight with gold). Covid safety is a #1 concern here which I greatly appreciate. Certainly going to be coming back again when I need more models or paints!

I love this place!Im just getting back into the hobby after a long hiatus and the manager and staff have been wonderful every time Ive been in. Theyve had plenty of recommendations for hobbying techniques, models to paint, etc. You can tell theyre excited and interested in Warhammer themselves.Their facebook page has events for whichever GW game youre interested in as well as a hobby night every week. Im looking forward to playing games here once I get an army painted up and ready to go.If youre in the area and at all interested in Warhammer-- or model building in general-- do yourself a favor and check this place out!
