Id recently lost 200 lb over 6 years and my son wanted me to go swimming with him. Unfortunately after losing the way I had so much leftover arm skin but I was very self-conscious about wearing a bathing suit would just drops and I was looking for a rash guard with long sleep. Everywhere I looked in town that I could buy one that day nobody had any in stock they all had to be ordered. I didnt know what to do. My son wasnt going to wait for me to order one and wait for it to come in the mail he wanted to go swimming now. Thankfully I found several to choose from at big 5! It was great! Decide which bottoms to get with the top for the best match. I would recommend this store highly! In the past it hasnt been a store that I thought much of to go to to buy things but now I will definitely go there first. Very happy customer.

Big five is one of last sport stores worth shopping at in person. They always have new and interesting products to check out, often at good sale prices. The employees are versed in what theyre selling and can be very helpful. Give em a shot, you wont be disappointed

I asked for my shoe size which is size 10 and they didnt have it for a lot of the shoes they carry. Im surprised they are still in business because it looks like they are going out of business!!! Dont waste your time here and just go somewhere else.

The Big 5 in Petuluma was beyond words, they literally let me annoy them with calls, dont do it, but awesome staff from cashier/inventory- to the Manager. They literally answered all my questions and they did so with experience and true honesty. They have my full support at this store. I mean Im an active person and they satisfied all my questions and needs. I wish there was more companys or people like them in this weird world. Why cant we all just get along right, LIVE. Got a great pair of shoes here for work I really love them but customer service where I went and bought them at the registers was great but the person that was selling the shoes didnt seem like he had too much knowledge of them he really cared about not being there that day but overall my review is a five-star place was clean it was quick it was nice and it was a good experience

Corinne behind the gun counter was very helpful (and funny)! I couldnt decide between a knife or BB gun for my boyfriend and she very effectively upsold me a $100 gun with two different kinds of ammo and CO2 cartridges. I thought I was going to spend maybe $50, but she got me :)I also came in looking for a mini cycle for my mom, honestly not expecting to find it, but it was there, and I found it in less than a minute in the store, for ~30% cheaper than the same models online, which is crazy - you never find stuff cheaper in the store.One last thing - they always have super cute hats.Im no extreme athlete by any means, and cannot speak to the quality of any of their more niche products, but for the few items I purchased, Im very satisfied with the price, product and customer service - especially considering its the holiday season. I was very pleasantly surprised.

Out of all the Big 5 stores in the north bay, this is my favorite.The store is always well stocked and organized and staff is friendly.Whenever I shop there I always use a 10-20% off coupon by signing up for the eteam, it does help save a little money.

Price gouging a $40 box of ammo to $60 doesn’t sit right with me.

Had a flat on my bike by Big 5,bought a tube,but they were out of the tire changing kits(temporarily out of stock) the employee who helped me(forgot to get his name)also a bike rider lent me his tire changing tools.Thanks to him I was on my way in no time.Kudos Big Five Petaluma

The cashier warmly greeted & asked if I was looking for anything in particular. She knew exactly what I was looking for and where to find it. As I wondered around looking at all the variety of items on sale I was offered assistance without having to ask for any! Being an active family and in year- round sports I know Ill find the right equipment at the right price!

Today I came in to buy an MTECK Tomahawk for my Physicians Emergency Kit that I have building for him.The Gentleman in the Hunting Department was really great, and got my what I wanted, in Record Time;And, after 5 minutes in the store I was Done.Through tomorrow, with the online Coupon, you can get 20% off a Full-time item, and 10% off of a Sale item.They almost always what is on sale;But, if they dont have an item in stock, they will call the Rohnert Park or Santa Rosa store, to see if thry still have more of the sale item
