The indicator for the charging system went on in the car. I called them as the reviews were good. They told me to come on in, diagnosed the problem and fixed it the same day. I am very happy with their service!

Was great had car towed in morning due to bad starter called and offered rebuilt instead of new significant cost savings older car didn’t need brand new. they had ready by afternoon even though there were lots of cars in front of me. Fixed AC also prices were very fair. Taking my wife’s car for regular maintenance next week. My go to repair shop from now on

My mechanic referred me to Local Heroes after my car did not pass the smog test. They were friendly and efficient. They had to order parts for the repairs but they were finished early the next day and even came in under their estimate! What a pleasant surprise! Everything was taken care of quickly and easily. I was very happy with the service and my car is running like a charm. My heroes!

My mechanic moved out of state and my van had the good sense to die 3 blocks away from Local Heroes on McDowell. Id heard good things, it was RIGHT THERE and I needed to find someone new so I gave them a try. It was in need of a pretty substantial repair but they got it done quickly, they did it right, the charges were fair and the customer service was fantastic. So when it was time for an oil change, I went back.They scheduled me for first thing in the morning, took the van right in and we waited while they fixed her right up. The prices were comparable to my previous mechanic, and they were great about getting us in and out. More importantly, while I was there, a couple guys came in with a tire puncture. Local Heroes let them know that they couldnt do the service immediately. BUT. Jason didnt send them away. He called up the street to another provider five blocks away, made sure they could take an immediate repair. Then he pulled the out-of-staters vehicle into the bay, filled up the tire so they could make it the five blocks, made sure they knew where they were going and got those folks back on the road and made sure they werent late to their funeral, and all without pushing out the wait times of the customers who already were on the books. I really appreciate finding a mechanic thats honest, dependable, and FAIR. Theyre my new forever-mechanic, for all our vehicles. Oh. And theyre open ON SATURDAYS!!! Its like Christmas in July! Run by good people but I no longer trust them with my cars. Would not recommend for anyone who is not knowledgeable about cars. My car went in to have a leaking water pump replaced. While this was being done, Local Heroes quoted replacing the air filter at $861. This is a $30 part that is replaced by opening a plastic flap and installing the new filter. It is done in seconds and they wanted to charge nearly $900 for it. The quote is shown in the attached picture. The total for having the water pump replaced along with some related components was $1700 with most of the cost being the water pump work.To make matters worse, the water pump they installed was leaking again within 3 months of their repair. I brought the car to my normal shop to get for an unrelated issue and they found that the pump was leaking again. My normal shop replaced the water pump and its related components for $1100.Local Heroes has also denied my request for a refund for their inadequate work and say I should not have used my normal shop to fix their mistakes. Will not be going to Local Heroes again and will not be recommending them to anyone.

Tl;dr - initially had some communication issues, but Fred is a stand up guy and made it right.We will be working with Fred in the future when we need major service on our classic car.Thanks for the followup and getting my Corvette back on the road and registered.

I moved to Petaluma two years ago and didnt want to have to drive to Santa Rosa to the Acura dealer to have my RDX serviced. I gave Local Heroes a try based on reviews and have never been disappointed. Most recently I was due for a smog check, called on a Monday afternoon, was given a next day am appointment, and as usual they were very efficient. I didnt have time for a second cup of coffee before I received the call that they were done! They were also very careful regarding social distancing, allowing only one person in the office at a time, providing disinfecting wipes etc. Another positive experience!

I have been a customer for 2 years. I find they are honest, have advised less expensive options and been very helpful in many ways. I highly recommend as a great local option!

I wouldn’t go to these people they are jerks. Completely rude even after I spent nearly thousands of dollars there. At least treat me better than a piece of garbage. You want to bring your part in well that’s going to cost almost 800 dollars for labor. But if you get it through us that will cost you 900 dollars.

Came in to get a new passenger-side rearview mirror, mine had been broken off by another car. The guy I spoke with leveled with me and said they could do it, but I could save some money if I ordered the mirror myself. The all Id have to do is bring it in, and theyd replace it for me. He even showed me the website to go to for the best deal. Took his advice, ordered it (only took about a week), and then brought it in. They replaced the mirror in a matter of hours. Great place, helped me save some cash, worked quickly, and were super friendly. Well definitely come back.

As a single (and older) woman, I am so very happy to know that I can count on a fair, honest relationship with my garage and that Local Heroes is there for me. I have an older car and am willing to cut and paste to keep er going and I believe they understand that and work with me to do so. I live nearby and can walk back to my house - another plus as the shop is very busy and they dont need to be shuffling me around (although they gladly would).So very glad to have Local Heroes in my neighborhood!Thanks Guys

I went in for a to have my car pass a smog test. Though the state declined the reason for the smog fail. I was still given excellent service in a timely fashion and would differently recommend this shop to women who are on their own and need a trust worthy car repair shop. Trust is everything in this world and I would have my daughter start using them as well. That says a lot.

I am new to the area and needed a smog check. Right when I came in, they all greeted me and when my car came back with some issues (I knew something was going on with it) They explained it to me and treated me with kindness. I will be back for sure!!

Local Zeros! No one I know has ever gotten their car back without a major hassle. Every one has been told the have a problem with their cars chips. Some have waited over 6 weeks for repairs.

On July 22nd we were leaving on Vacation, into Northern California, Oregon and into Washington. As we entered Petaluma a person told us, that something seemed wrong with our tire. We continued on to our 1st destination, Petaluma KOA. as we parked we noticed that the tire on the driver side of the trailer seem off. We took it to Local Heroes Auto Repair. They informed us that the axle and drum were damaged. They called around for days to see if anyone had that axle. They had to order it, from the manufacture. It took some time to get the part delivered to Local Heroes, they were very accommodating to us. They would call us each day to keep us updated on the status of the axle.They did an excellent job on the trailer, it seemed to drive even better then before. I noticed what a smooth ride it was as i pulled the trailer home. i would highly recommend Local Heroes to others, and the owner and staff were the best, they made a difficult time seem easy. I had my SUV stall out, I had it towed there after midnight, they got the alternator and battery changed the next morning. So far, they are the only mechanics who have touched my 2002 Toyota Highlander.

A real disappointment, they told me that my car did not pass the smok check and apart from that I had to pay them and if I wanted it to pass, they would fix it for me for a. I took it to another place and passed it on immediately.
